We’re all excited, so here’s the preview for this coming week’s all-new episode, our season finale Born to Run. The future depends on it.

  1. “only one finale can promise that the future depends on it”

    are you messing with us?

  2. Whose going to die next week?
What will be the fate of Cameron.

  3. Are you saying the fate of season 3 depends on this one episode’s ratings? They better promote the crap out of this thing, this is the last chance we have.

  4. Thanks Hadley!

  5. Ok, I have a good Skynet (John Henry, Weaver) bad Skynet theory (the brother).

You have the two AI’s. Unless they merge, why would the writers introduce it?

Why does Skynet keep sending Terminators to kill people that Weaver already has access to easily kill? (the child psychologist, Savanah Weaver, Ellison)

Weaver has only killed to protect the John Henry project. She brings on people to help John Henry learn morality.

So the best theory that makes sense of the above data would be something like a dissident machine faction, trying to create a Skynet which wouldn’t be overly hostile.

Either that or the writers aren’t trying to be cleaver and I’m just interpreting plot holes incorrectly.

  6. Oh one more thing. Skynet is sending Terminators to kill people who are helping John Henry develop some sort of morality.

  7. I was there for the pilot episode and I’ve been there for every episode. So win lose or draw, I”ll be there for the last episode. Bring it on.

  8. I’m really excited for the SEASON finale. I’m trying to be optimistic…

I’ll be watching, and then waiting with bated breath for the decision to come out in May…

Oh please, please, please let there be another season!!!!

  9. ON FOX during Cops, A T4 Commercial started to run then across the screen Block lettering “This Friday” and the commentator broke in and said “this Friday during Sarah Connor Chronicles a ALL New T4 never before seen ad” So lets hope the Terminator army from across the country has their Teles on . Heck rabid fans have gone to see movies just for a new trailer of their favorite franchise.
We may break all viewer rating records !!

  10. IF

    John Connor = The Messiah
    John Henry = God
    Skynet = The Devil

    Then: who is Judas? ;)

  11. “Then: who is Judas?”

    Sarah.

She quickly replaced Jesse and Riley for me personally. TSCC needs an enjoyable (human) female character.

    Lauren Fields anyone?

  12. This promo just looks fantastic. I know promos usually do, but this one really gets me. Awesome music track they did for it too. That last hour is going to go way too fast. I don’t think I’ve ever felt this way about a TV show before, in fact I know I haven’t. Movies yes, but not a weekly TV show. This one just creates magic. Great work.

  13. Well Oh Boy! This sure is gonna be a terrific season finale!

  14. @ausiello

(don’t know whether this has already been posted)

    http://ausiellofiles.ew.com/2009/04/ask-ausiello-sp.html

Question: There’s a rumor that Warner Bros. tore down all the Sarah Connor Chronicles sets, which typically means a cancellation announcement is coming. What are you hearing? –Val
Ausiello: The SCC sets have not been struck, a Warner Bros. insider maintains. They’ve simply been “shuffled around.” (Hopefully not from the soundstage to the landfill).

  15. Did anyone understand what John was saying to Cameron? I heard “…so you want to kill me”, but I couldn’t catch the first part.

  16. Rudy:

“So down deep…. you want to kill me”

  17. [SPOILER ALERT]
    [CRAZY THEORY ALERT]

This past Friday’s ep was cray for sure.

    Which leads me to theorize:

    1. Rumors of TSCC’s cancellation may be just that — rumors. We have hope yet! The rumors were based on Brian Austin Green’s casting news of him being on a pilot on another show on the CW. But “Adam Raised a Cain” explains that. The show didn’t end, his character ended.

    2. John Henry said the human brain is flawed in that there’s no place to download when humans die.

(Side Note: While Ellison can only say that “It’s more complicated than that” in reply to John Henry, according to theologian Bishop N.T. Wright, the New Testament anticipates John Henry’s question with an answer: humans will have literal bodies they can “download” to. Watch him on Comedy Central at colbert nation [dot] com/the-colbert-report-videos/174352/june-19-2008/bishop-n-t–wright )

    3. I re-watched parts of “Allison from Palmdale” at youtube [dot] com / watch ? v = Re A5 AB jz U5 c

In it, Cameron in the present who thinks she’s Allison wonders about human extinction.

In it, the newly created Cameron says to Allison, “I am not your enemy.” And tells her that it admires John Connor. That they want peace with humans, but not all of them.

So there’s a faction of SkyNet (could Weaver be a part of that faction?) that is sympathetic to humans.

What if Cameron is an experiment of this human-friendly faction of SkyNet so that humans could have “bodies” to download to after they die?

    4. I still really love the theory that Future John is dead and Cameron is his replacement and she’s acting on Future John’s authority that has been bequeathed to her by him just before his death.

  18. R.

quite an interesting theory number four is, hrm..

  19. Will the blog still keep going with posts from hadley after the finale?

  20. @ Giligan

My #4 theory is based on “Today Is The Day Part 2″ (aka “The Last Voyage of the Jimmy Carter”).

In it, in the future, Cameron tells Jesse that “telling me is the same as telling John.” That episode questioned who was really running the show amongst the resistance. Human or machine? Add to that the fact that we’ve never seen Future John in this show.

Whatever the case, McG’s Terminator is [MINOR SPOILER] going for a crazy twist of his own. A terminator that doesn’t know it’s a terminator and thinks its human?

And it would just make my day if TSCC could somehow fit into the Terminator timeline that is about to be newly written. I would hate to see our show go by the waste side and rendered irrelevant in the Terminator universe because of McG’s movie. (Although, i still think that movie’s gonna kickas s!)

  21. This last ep is going to be frakkin’ SAVAGE!

    C’mon Season 3!

Heck, I’ll even take a 9 ep mid-season pick up. Anything!

  22. @ TFan

    Amen! Hallelujah!

  23. @Chad

I agree Lauren Fields would be an interesting addition to the cast.

  24. I really hope this isn’t the series finale!!!!

  25. >”I agree Lauren Fields would be an interesting addition to the cast.”

Thirded. I was sad to see her leave.

    re: Cancellation, “disappearing set”

God please let this not be true. I don’t understand why it would be. Why would you definitively cancel a show before you’ve seen the final ratings, and when you know that there’s a movie coming out in a month that could help revitalize it?

  26. Let’s see….Sarah’s in jail, Derek’s dead, John has one of the most advanced killing machines on the planet on his side plus a lifetime of tactical and weapons training….

Oh, next Friday is going to be GOOD!

BTW, the folks at io9 (http://io9.com/5198533/sarah-connors-worst-nightmares-all-come-true) LOVED this episode and the series in general. There are some great comments over there.

  27. Man I cant wait for next week :) and then comes the waiting arrrrgh

  28. Ohhhh do we get a Jameron moment. What I have to ask. :) I actually worry about Cameron…
But I think John’s comment refers to taking out the kill switch and/or that Cameron turned off her termination command.

I can’t wait till Friday but I hate that we don’t know if we get that all important season 3 or not!!! I hate not knowing.
Ahhhh Hadley you said Season. And I expect to see a SEASON 3!!!! Just saying.

Notty22 I saw that T4 commercial as well while I had just turned off the TSCC tape from last nights ep. And that’s the first time I have ever seen TSCC advertised almost a week before the ep airs. I hope that does the trick. :)

I have to ask this but Direct TV has started to present TSCC…so are they interested in TSCC? I mean last week there was this big commercial that talked about using your DVR and then this week again a logo at the start.
Kind of like what they did with Friday nigh lights? And they did have those T2 ads a while back!! As long as the magic words of Season 3 pop uo I’m happy!

That looks amazing. I know where I’ll be Friday!!! Nothing can keep me away! Bring it on!!!

By the way have you seen how well the Season 1 DVD set is selling?!?! Wow!!!
Amazon.com Sales Rank: #477 in Movies & TV
    #1 in Movies & TV > Television > Action & Adventure > TSCC
    #1 in Movies & TV > Action & Adventure > Series & Sequels > Terminator
    #21 in Movies & TV > Science Fiction & Fantasy > Science Fiction > Series & Sequels

  29. No bogarting the twists!!!!

  30. Raymond

The sets are not being taken down (per Ausiello). They’re being relocated and reconfigured as they have to be since the Connors will be on the run and Jesse is gone.

  31. Why the F#%@ did you kill off Derek? he is one of the best parts of the show!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

please let there be a season 3

  32. Kea

I wouldn’t be too excited about the DVD sales at Amazon. Typically, the 30th ranked DVD sells around 30,000 sets in any given week (total not just at Amazon). I imagine #477 is a pittance.

    For instance:

    http://www.the-numbers.com/dvd/charts/weekly/2006/20060423.php

  33. The future depends on it.
    Yes, it does.
Is Sarah gonna leave, now that she had her face all over the news she cant be seen with John?

  34. What John needs to do is outright apologize so Sarah and Cameron for the idiotic and childish shit he pulled most of all season 2.

He just finally started pulling his head out of his arse.

However, they still need to show a little bit more of his human side, and that he can have moments where things boil over the top and get to him (along the lines of “Today’s The Day Pt.2″ or similarly).

If you bottle it all up… you’ll go mad. That doesn’t make him a pussy or unmanly or not a leader-like figure, it makes him human.

I’d go so far that John Connor, in Season 3 (yeah, I’m drinking the Kool-Aide for that too), gets seriously wounded (which can happen to even the best of us), which causes Cameron to have to step up, even if Sarah doesn’t like it.

An opportunity where her words (and feelings that she can be seen as an equal) to Jesse finally ring true… that she can take charge of a situation in a crisis and figure things out in John’s stead. More evolution time. That she can slowly start to make calls that are both smart and clever and yet don’t needlessly jeopardize the safety of others. That little thing called empathy.

Both John and Cameron can shine apart from Sarah. The side-kick character(s) becomes a major player(s).

Taking it a step farther into speculation territory…

John is sedated and put into a medical induced coma (they have no choice, but to be at a medical facility). Cameron sees him like that for the first time after the fight with Kaliba henchmen. The admired and probably loved “new” John Connor (FutureJohn doesn’t live here any more) helpless and clinging to life by a thread.

Sarah (wearing a spur of the moment disguise) is with him, sitting on a chair next to the bed.

She hears Cam walk in, and looks up at her.

    Sarah: Where have you been?

Cameron [glancing at John, then at Sarah]: Following a lead. [glancing back at John] Is he…

    Sarah [softly]: I don’t know…

Cameron [with a slight tinge in her voice of certainty, though her face hides all, as if to buck up Sarah more than herself]: I know. John is strong. He’s strong, Sarah. [standing there, still staring at John] He’ll live. [turning to look at Sarah] He’ll live…

Cameron turns around and walks out of the room, as if on a rail.

    Sarah: Cameron…

She keeps walking down the hall, to the entrance, to the parking lot… face fixed and set like she’s on a mission (and she is… she can’t do anything for him, can’t comfort him or talk to him with Sarah there looking on, but keep on tracking down clues).

Cameron opens the door to the Ram, and climbs in. Placing the keys in the ignition, she stares robotically straight ahead through the windshield, and pauses before turning the key. And that’s when the tears start streaming down her cheeks.

She doesn’t drive anywhere for a few moments, just sits and cries silently with no one to see, no one to suspect what’s buried deep inside her… back in the shadowy section of the lot.

    Fade to black.

  35. I will go see T$ 10 times at the theaters if it helps us get a third season of T:SCC.

  36. Would it be too much to ask that the T4 movie have a TSCC promo before the movie comes on!!!

Spudster I just like that TSCC is still selling copies considering the DVD set came out in August. :)

  37. @TheColours,

Me too! I just hope the darn thing is good, and the “Charlie’s Angels” McG does not show up at all. That would be a disaster.

    ——-

And one last song this evening as you all shuffle off to bed.

    Talking Heads: “Dream Operator.”

    http://www.rhapsody.com/player?type=track&id=tra.9344973 (hopefully, the link works)

    When you were little
    You dreamed you were big
    You must have been something
    A real tiny kid

    You wish you were me
    I wish I was you
    Don’t you wake up
    This dream will come true

And every dream has a name
    And names tell your story
    This song is your dream
    You’re the dream operator

    Bigger than life
    You know it’s all me
    My face is a book
But it’s not what it seems

    Three angels above
    The whole human race
    Dream us to life
    They dream me a face

And every dream tells it all
    And this is your story
    You dreamed me a heart
    You’re the dream operator

    Shake-it-up dream
    Hi-di-ho dream
    Fix-it-up dream
    Look at me dream
    I’ve been waitin’ so long
    Now, I am your dream

    Hard to forget
    It’s hard to go on
    When you fall asleep
    You’re out on your own

    Let go of your life
    Grab on to my hand
    Here in the clouds
    Where we’ll understand

    And you dreamed it all
    And this is your story
Do you know who you are?
    You’re the dream operator

    And you dreamed it all
    And this is your story
Do you know who you are?
    You’re the dream operator…

    ——-

    Good night to all.

  38. I agree with all of you. We need a season 3 badly. I see many posts of people that say that this is the only show all week they set aside time for. I’m one of them. I have also been hoping that the new movie coming out in May will inspire a season 3 in that Fox will see the potential of this movie to bring in more viewers. Hopefully it will help the new fans of the movie to get interested in the show. There are still way to many people out there that have no idea how amazing this show is, and that is sad.

  39. There is evidence for the following: (1) Weaver is part of the pro-human Skynet breakaway faction. She is the T-1000 that was transported in the Jimmy Carter. Her answer was orignally “no” since humans (Jesse and her crew) showed that they could not be trusted by disobeying orders. But she evolved and came to the other side undersrtanding and appreciating the value of humans. (2) Cameron will be part of the cliffhanger. Remember, John is still wearing the necklace that will deactivate her. This will be emotional. (3) Evil Skynet is the third point in the triangle. Recall that they were hunting the names on the list as well as John Henry. It would be pointless to have all this morality taught to JH if he was simply going to be a terminator/killing machine for Weaver. (4) Weaver’s behavior has been intentionally misdirected throughout season 2. She killed everyone in the facility b/c she was attacking the evil Skynet plot. The facility was not hers. The accident that killed her “husband” also killed her human form. She merely opportunistically assumed it. (5) It is not clear that Jesse is dead.

  40. Hear ye, Hear ye.

We need a season 3, this show has by no means run its course, it has just begun.

  41. A theory that John is dead and Cam runs the resistance is interesting. I love it. However it means there are two Camerons: one runs the resistance (the one that is from our time) and one that is captured and sent back to become the first. Sounds very likely.

  42. John’s comment about somewhere down deep is probably in reference to Sarah’s little conversation with Cameron about why John sent her away. Cameron was going to the closest John possible and asking him why.

Which brings us back to the Dekker tape, possible spoiler below if you haven’t seen the tape yet so stop reading if you haven’t seen Thomas Dekker’s spoiler tape.

Thomas said that the three closest women to John (at the time it was Riley, Cameron, and Sarah) that of the three one will die, one will abandon him, and one will betray him. My theory since then has been that Riley will die, Sarah will betray, and Cameron will abandon him.

Sarah betrayed John by planning on leaving him with Charley. If you recall an earlier season one episode we saw John watching a tape from Pescadera where his mother gave up her parental rights over John. After that Sarah realizes the mistake she made and spent the rest of her time there trying to escape. Eventually that blew over but now with the failed plan to leave John with Charley John would probably see this as an act of betrayal.

Which brings us to Cameron. One dead, one betrayed, and we know John won’t kill Cameron. He loves her. Once Cameron realizes this and sees the threat that presents to John’s life she’ll probably leave. I mean Sarah won’t kill her, that’ll damage her relationship with John too much, Derek is dead, and John obviously won’t. She can’t self terminate so what else will she do?

My theory - she becomes a park ranger for some local wildlife refuge for birds.

    I love you Summer!

  43. I hope for a season 3, I can’t wait for the finale. It would be great if they showed what John Connor looks like in the future in the TSCC. John can’t be dead in the future, I’ve thought about it as well but Cameron was sent by future John to protect present John. Maybe yea? It seems like Cameron getting really shot up in the finale, I hope she doesn’t die because I will cry if she does.

  44. @nick85:

John’s comment about somewhere down deep is probably in reference to Sarah’s little conversation with Cameron about why John sent her away.

May be she just tell him what she said to the psychologist in Allison from Palmdale when she ask what she will do when she find John Connor:

“I’m going to kill him and hang his head on a pike for all to see.”

    My 2¢ :)

  45. About John’s comment to Cameron in the preview:

Could it be that Cameron never really was reprogrammed and memory wiped as she said before? I think most agree that Cameron is a bit special, we have already seen her abort the termination order on John after she went bad.

It would be kinda sweet if she in the future actually made her own decision to be on Johns side, therefore she still have the old termination order in her data bank and it surfaced when she went bad.

OK, maybe cheesy but still intresting if she herself have made the decision to protect John, not by reprogramming…

Also about Derek: Don’t forget that young Derek is still around, playing in the park with Kyle…

  46. Alright, so now thanks to too much caffeine I’m caught up on the whole Dungeons & Dragons story line. I’m now firmly with Dan…someone has some explaining to do. There’s a truck hole of a logic gap that needs immediate triage.

Cameron is purportedly the most sophisticated cybernetic organism ever produced. She is patterned after Alison, who’s been talked about as being special, i.e. unique.

Derek gets back from being captive and immediately trips out upon seeing Cameron.

Um….why? How does he know that shes a Terminator at all? When has he ever seen her as a Terminator? Did he ever know her as Alison? I don’t think so…else he would have had to give a double-take and hesitate for at least a beat before going for his gun. Nope. He clocked her as a Terminator in a heartbeat.

So…the ONLY place Derek could have seen Cam was in the basement. And if Cam was off assisting JC in Topanga like the officer said (and it sounds like he was there), does that mean there’s more than one Cameron? One that’s been scrubbed and one that’s running interrogations set to classical music?

Or maybe we’re in paradox land…where the Cam we see walking around the resistance is our good old Cameron…just 20 years later…still serving John. And Terminator that Derek encountered in the basement was the pre-scrubbed Cameron. This of course assumes that there was ever any scrubbing done to Cam ever…btw, I’ll take this opportunity to mention that if there is ever the need to scrub her again, I’m available.

Basic question…how does Derek know her so well as to hate her and mistrust her when it seems like the timeline between him meeting her vs. going back to 2007 with the boyz is a damn short window. Mr. Freidman, I await Friday’s reveals, or Saturday morning’s blog post to address this conundrum.

    Cheers!

  47. apologies….Friedman. (I was so close to getting it all right too….arrgh)

  48. I didn’t get the impression Cam herself was helping in Topanga, just that some Terminators were there. In that conversation with Derek, they just seem to be talking about Terminators in general. Derek being shocked about them being reprogrammed and walking around freely. Obviously the first time he’d even heard of it.

The only clues we have to go on is the basement, and it’s really not much. Summer knows at least part of the story but naturally she can’t reveal much. She told an interviewer Derek had encountered Cameron before. Not just a similar model, it was Cameron specifically.

That recent mention in “To the Lighthouse” may be all we get this season. They have a lot to cover in the last 43 minutes or so. I’m not expecting anything about it in “Born to Run”, unless it’s just another brief reference. Maybe it will be a backstory to explore next season.

  49. I can’t wait to watch this episode. It looks awesome!!! Please, please Fox we want Season 3!!

    Ianne from the Philippines

  50. Sigh… The last one. Hopefully only for a short while though. Hopefully no more deaths for a while… I love most of the remaining characters! I hope Cameron and Weaver survive… If season 3 is a reality my favorite machines better be in it! Can’t wait till the next ep, the promo looks exciting. As does the T4 promo…

Now I netter get to the oven before my food burns up :)

  51. http://www.fmqinc.com/tscc-season-2-finale

CAN A WRITER PLEASE FALSIFY THIS SEASON FINALE THING??

I KNOW FOR SURE IT’S FALSE BUT SOME ACTUALLY BELIEVE THIS UTTER CRAP————————— GRRRRR

  52. for those that were dumb enough to click the above link, I say to you “it’s full of contradictions”

  53. Al B. Bach is right. Something doesn’t fit together in the time frame that we saw in D&D. It’s too short, and something isn’t going together smoothly.

If there is a story snafu going on it’s probably because they waited so darn long to explore this particular back story. It may have gotten befuddled and cloudy in the eyes of the writers. Could be?

And they promised they would explore this further. When? Was it just that brief statement by Cameron in “To the Lighthouse?”

If that’s it, it’s a real writing cheat. That’s almost as bad as how they ended “The Sopranos.” Was it clever writing or was it done because the writers themselves had no idea how to leave it?

Just as I would find it to be a huge blow of any confidence I have if they’ve been red-herring us this entire time with Cameron’s development and supposed growth of caring and curiosity with the birds, with the cancer survivor in the wheelchair, with her apparent statements of love and concern over John… to just flip a switch and turn her bad all of a sudden as the big bad betrayer.

Now, that would be the big “jump the shark” moment in my mind.

I really hope this is not what they have in store for us. That would just take the cake IMHO.

  54. bbb

    what contradictions? please explain.

  55. John Connor = The Messiah
    John Henry = God
    Skynet = The Devil

    Then: who is Judas?

    I say it’s Cameron.

    someone else said:
My theory since then has been that Riley will die, Sarah will betray, and Cameron will abandon him.

Sarah will abandon (if she hasn’t already in Lighthouse) and Cameron will betray. Sarah would never betray John, she would abandon him or even kill herself first.

When John says deep down Cameron wants to kill him, think back to 2.1 and her HUD at the end when he handed her the gun. Her mission was to terminate John Connor, the directive to not kill him was an override command. Her primary mission is still intact, so deep down she does still want to kill him.

He may have to push the button and then rebuild her for season 3.

About the sets being torn down, they had to use the tunnel set for the sub, they’ve left the house and Sarah has already threatened to burn Zeira to the ground. What’s left?

  56. In any case, the scenario laid out in the “spoiler” link is clever in one respect. It has closure but also leaves open the possibility of the show returning. I don’t want to bring any of the spoiler over here but for those of you who were “dumb” enough to read the spoiler, think about:

    A) 8 years
    B) if you are SC, at this pt. it would be best if people thought…
    C) the alley

  57. @bbb,

It does smell like a fanfic gone wild (like they took the whole hit of marijuana at once… smoking not just a little, but A LOT).

PR stunt? Made to give false direction…? Leaked on purpose to create a buzz, but it’s an obvious fake?

As you said, this “ending” is full of huge plot holes, inconsistent elements up the yin-yang and “pulling stuff out of your @ss” story-telling. IMHO.

Things that make you go: “Hmmmm…”

  58. Oh yeah

JH now has the knowledge to make “the alley” happen.

  59. @Al B. Bach

I think you are looking for logic holes where none exist. This is a false controversy.

First, which person associated with the show ever said that Cameron was the most sophisticated cyborg ever produced? The fact that we don’t know her model doesn’t mean that she’s the most sophisticated. Maybe she is, but that’s not been confirmed. As far as terminator mythology goes, the T-1000s MPA terminators are the most advanced models. Josh has stated that Cameron would lose to Weaver in a one-on-one, head-to-head confrontation.

Second, Allison wasn’t “unique”, she was “chosen”. There’s a distinction. The rogue terminators in AFP wanted to understand why John Connor chose her (presumably to be replaced by Cameron). Cameron concluded that Allison was chosen because she was very brave. Another explanation is that FutureJohn already knows to choose Allison Young b/c he knows that Cameron replaces her (via the whole time-travel paradox)

Third, Derek may have recognized Cameron as being a terminator simply by the mechanical way in which she comported herself. Once you know what to look for, terminators are easier to spot. He freaked out because he wasn’t aware of FutureJohn’s strategy to have scrubbed terminators placed in resistance camps, not because of any particular experience with Cameron in the basement (although that’s entirely possible).

The point I want to make here is there are alot of alternate explanations for the sequence of events you describe - and to try to hold Josh accountable for your theory of events is a no-win proposition for everyone. If the final episode doesn’t support your theory of events, then there are gaping holes in the plot? Not necessarily, so please don’t ask Josh to explain why you’re right and he’s wrong. That’s simply ridiculous.

  60. This is going to be the best episode ever. I am just too excited. This show has got to go on, it’s the best on TV, and the only one I watch every week. Please renew this show, it has made me a bigger fan of the movies, and it has made me really excited to go see T4, if it cancels, I won’t be excited to see T4. I will be sad watching it, thinking that Sarah Connor is a goner, so please, renew it. This show beats the hell out of T3, and it’s the only thing we have left to fill in the gaps between T2 and T4, so please FOX and WARNER BROS, don’t let something great that you have helped create die.

  61. More follow up on the D&D stuff:

There were 4 guys that were abducted, and my guess is that none openly admitted to giving up JC’s location…or are even consciously aware that they did. Cameron says quite matter of factly in TTLH that it was DEREK that gave up JC’s location in the future. How could she know it was him?

There’s only one story line that explains how Cam would know it was him AND how Derek would be able to ID her as a Terminator. She was in that basement.

This solution doesn’t square with the officer’s story though, that the machine faction who assisted at Topanga was now welcome inside the Resistance. If Cam’s faction was welcome…why did they need to interrogate to find the location?

Following this logic, Cam may have been working as an infiltrator between machine factions, and was only one of several Terms in the basement. She allowed them to use the information they got from Derek to keep her cover, but somehow managed to warn JC to escape…or she knew he wouldn’t be there anyway, so calculated the losses to be acceptable. OR, she’s an infiltrator for JC…keeping tabs on the Terminator interrogations.

  62. Shadower Darkslayer

I hope Hadley comes out and says something in regard to the hypothetical spoiler link….

  63. I’d like to think it was the very last thing you said Al B. Bach, as it’s the only logical explanation that fits the pieces together…

And that’s why the axe showed up in the morning.

Cameron was ordered to kill them, but lets them go instead.

  64. Here’s another classic that IMHO feeds into Terminator… in my mind at least.

Chicago: “Does Anybody Really Know What Time It Is?”

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tBuUUBrC9eQ

“Does anybody really know what time it is?
    Does anybody really care?
If so, I can’t imagine why
We’ve all got time enough to die…”

  65. you know, I’ve just come to the conclusion that this canon is a hopeless mess.

There’s just no way to reconcile the Jesse timeline with the Derek timeline without introducing the T1000’s at around the same time that Kyle goes back in time originally…because Derek follows shortly thereafter. Cramming the original time-travel mission (T1), the second mission (T2), the third mission (T3), and all the time-travel adventures represented in TSCC into the space of what appears to be months is insane. Maybe I’m missing something,

  66. Very good episode.. I will be sad to see this show go under, and not having a season 3, just because the writers did mess up a couple episodes this season:” sarah’s deam (very hard to pay attention to that episode) ect.

But things are getting better now, so if you can make sure the writers bring a lot of action and summer glau on the table for season 3 it will be perfect and surly some viewers will get back to the show when they find out what a kick ass episode this was.

  67. @ Shadower Darkslayer:

my money is on this being a fanfic. What’s in it follows closely some of the hypothesis that have been discussed here, on this blog, and what can be seen in the new Fox preview for ‘Born to Run’.
Like a palm reader this blogger will be right on some things since she cast her net so widely, but on the whole she is full of something which nature, Hadley forbids, I won’t describe here.

  68. I agree Cam was in the basement, based on what they’ve revealed to us so far. And the way the captives came out of there, either it was some kind of mental treatment to obtain information, or blood loss. Or both.

The reason I say blood is because when Derek came out of the flashback after he entered the basement, he’s screaming “my blood!”, along with “where’s Kyle” and “you owe me the truth”. With the captives looking so weak coming back upstairs, I think they extracted blood for something they were doing in that basement.

We may never know. They might drop the plot now like they did with Cheri last season. Too many other more pressing issues.

  69. hotkey, thats they cite the same source that has already been said to be false. on that very site no less. which is why I don’t understand why they would post the original source yet again. if they have info their not revealing, fine, but why point us to the old link yet again?

It does seem like it’ll take a miracle at this point to get a season 3, but I’ll continue waiting for the final nail in the coffin.

  70. hope there wrong i love this show and will be so heart broken if theres no season3 to end the story and will boycott all fox tv show for the rest my life whos with me ?

  71. I only buy Family Guy and American Dad videos, but I don’t watch any other Fox shows.

I might check out House, sometime on video just for Hugh Lourie, but all the other shows are craptacular.

    American Idol?? Pure… unadulterated… mindless… sheeeeyat!!

The Gong Show for the 21st Century.

  72. Dan, you may have insulted the Gong show

  73. fox has fringe i like that and american dad is so funny but i will turn my back on fox for life. its dark angel all over it was canned for season 3 with no end to the story at all .fox needs to give there shows endings even low rated ones and stop kicking there fans when there down. we need to take the power back and boycott fox if there’s no season 3 .every one tune in live on fox and dvr it this is are last hope .

  74. Shadower Darkslayer

I see some flaws already. I guess we’ll see come Friday.

But if Cameron goes….in any fashion….they had better bring her back EPICALLY before the end of the episode. Preferably somehow possessing all of her current memories. Far fetched…I know…but would intensify the Jameron a whole lot I would think. Yes, I know this show is about Sarah Connor though. :-) But taking Cameron out is like taking the cars out of the Fast & Furious movies.

  75. if they are making cam into parts she wont be back by the end of the show it will be a cliffhanger ending for sure . thats why we need season 3 bad . they just started to fight skynet the story is just starting anyone think this too?

  76. Matt, we’re all with you on that one.

FWIW, I broke out my Ouija board from the bottomless well where my fiancée dropped it after it predicted that she’d have a fat ass by her thirtieth birthday… to ask it if there would a season 3 of T:SCC. For good measure I sat a yellow duckling on the tripod. It said, without hesitation: “Sure, why not?”
Since it has been right once before I feel a renewed optimism.

  77. See my “Office Space” fax machine comment and link on the “Adam” thread.

Woe to those who mess with Cameron and/or disrespect Miss Glau.

Someone likened Summer to “Tweetie Bird” and another called Cam a “Ho-bot” just recently. They must pay! ;)

That goes for the writers who want to mess with Cam too. I’m watching you! And you! And you!

“Damn, it’s good to be a gangsta!!”

    LOL!

  78. I cannot wait for the john and cameron scenes!!! they look so good! in this peticular preview I think john was gonna say something else after that. “so if down deep you wanna kill me… then what should I do what would future john do if his protector wanted to kill me. somethin like that either way i cant wait!!!! why cant it be friday.

  79. tinyurl.com/cnwjk7

LOL apparently the individual that “leaked” the blog thread about the show being cancelled and the finale sent this pm to one of the posters/registered users on her site.

    That should prove her credibility.

  80. This is going to be the longest week that came too soon

  81. @jordan

i thin that too about Cam and John dialogue…

We need a Season3 because too many questions will remain after this ending.

    - Who was Allison from Palmdale?? A friend? a soldier? a JC lover (i don’t think really)
    ?
-What about future war? It’s taking unexpected directions (machines factions - human factions)
    - what about 3 dots? i hope they wouldn’t be those on the “clock” Cam gave to John !

In the end, i think that Cameron hasn’t feelings, her reactions to Derek’s death and Charley’s death are equal to 0.
But, she understand John’s feelings. That’s the fact.
In the end,it guess that here she will stay. For now, obviously…

  82. @Franz,

That may be about Cam and Derek, but John is a whole other kettle of fish entirely.

As the song states: I only have eyes for you.

That, I feel, needs to be addressed in Season 3. That she goes from just feeling for John, but starts broadening out to others.

    Maybe…

Savannah or someone else is put in great danger again, and Cam walks away (just like in The Demon Hand), but then she pauses as if thinking… and then suddenly reverses course and comes, guns a-blazin’, to the rescue.

Cam has just saved someone other than John.

It would, as I stated far above, tie into Jesse’s concerns that Cameron didn’t have concern for the people on the sub.

Something big like this could show that this decision making is improving by leaps and bounds. She’s now able to transfer those feelings towards John’s well being into others not on her priority list.

She’s growing, she’s becoming more and more of an asset to John and to herself.

If, as in my little scene, John is knocked out of the equation for a little bit… Cameron is forced to step up big time… and be all that she can be.

You know, find the hero inside. The person who doesn’t walk way, who can be there for those in need, who thinks of more than just themselves.

    She is becoming like Arnold.

When Arnold said, “Trust me,” you know he meant it. When he said, “I swear I will not kill anyone,” he was serious. He wasn’t lying.

The moral to Terminator is this… that if you value (and it doesn’t matter who is learning to value) life… you can save the world.

When it’s a killing machine, it’s all the more poignant.

  83. Glad everyone’s excited for Friday — just popping by to point out that our finale episode, “Born to Run,” was not sent out to any reviewers in advance — we wanted to preserve the enjoyment for all of our fans! Hope that should clear up any mess.

Have a nice weekend and we’ll get back into it on Monday.

Forward Slash: Instant Love for Hadley…

…our hero…who has come forth and saved the day from the evils of Lanie Grace…

…though instead of relaxing us, has made us even more excited and impatient for Friday!

Beware, they who disrespect Summer Glau, will soon be wishing it was Chuck Norris who they disrespected because there is a inescapably small chance he might have mercy on them….

    …but we won’t.

  85. Hadley and the T-crew are steppin’ on the spoileristas out there in the bloggosphere!

Hadley, doesn’t it feel good to be a gangsta?

    :D

Friedman: Uhhh, yeah. Hadley, I’m gonna need you to work on Sunday as a catch up. Yeaaaah. And I’m, uuh, gonna be taking my stapler back. Ookay?

    LOL!

  86. Thank you hadley, can Fox / WB or someone send a threatening email to the fmqinc.com blog for spreading rumors? :P

  87. Thanks Hadley. I appreciate you for dropping in on us to clear up the blogging mess.

    Is it Friday yet?

  88. Nevermind, I’ll send my own threatening email ^^.

    Check out this :

Comment about it on her blog.

  89. In behalf of the Jameron crew and some other guys over at the Terminator Wiki, I would like to thank you very much for dismissing THAT blog post, Hadley.

  90. Yes Dan,

it’s clear that Cameron character’s development has been thougth to get a narrative
time bigger than first and second season.

Same as in Firefly, where River was the real protagonist of the show with Malcolm…but they needed 30 episodes at least to reach that ! They repaired this with the film, fortunately, and we could understand everything about.
But we know that everything could happen in tv series.

Because Cameron is one of the strenght’s point of this show, together with John whose is still a boy and not a leader, i hope that we’ll have time to see these stuff on eventual new episodes!

Cam’s growin and changin could be an immense and exciting history to bring on tv, together with John’s approachin to his “role”. As we saw in these episodes, but here we are at starting point again, i guess.

What you mention are little details, they have been often exceede by other stuff and sub-plots, while main plot is findin its way right now with the final 3 episode…i hope.

I guess that cast’s changin , together with this fast acceleration on the final episode , to close the narrative ark that was opened after cromartie’s death, could be prelude to the season 3, with new places, new friends and enemies.

Don’t forget that in 1st season Cam and John went to a school, and they had friends and situations so far by now…they actually are forgotten , but those situations were funny and intriguing as hell !

I think we don’t fear these changes…Mr.Friedman knows well what he created! i hope :)

  91. Thanks for clearing that up, Hadley. Not that I believed in it anyway. Don’t mess with the TSCCers, or the TSCCers will mess with you.

  92. tinyurl.com/cnwjk7

LOL apparently the individual that “leaked” the blog thread about the show being cancelled and the finale sent this pm to one of the posters/registered users on her site.

the power of the screenshot is a wonderful tool.

  93. Fox,
We have to have season 3 and season 4.

  94. Thanks for taking the time to drop by and put our minds at rest hadley. I don’t think many people believed it really but its nice to have it confirmed.

  95. Oh ya? Threats?

What about this prediction? In 30 years time SG will star in the remake series of ‘Murder She Wrote’ for her likeliness to Angela Landsbury. The preceding year to that, T:SCC will air its final episode titled : “The Three Dots”.

    Ha!

  96. Summer in… “Murder She Wrote: Redux?”

Isn’t that a career threat to Miss Glau instead?

    LOL!!

  97. Thanks Hadley. We appreciate the intel.

    Innocent,
“Since it has been right once before I feel a renewed optimism.”

My condolences on your wife’s ass. LOL

  98. Oh well, she’s the one who says it’s fat. I say that it’s fine, and finer if it contributes saving Friedman and Co’s butts too.

BTW, if you can count to three, you should know by now that Jessie is alive.

  99. Here are some more insights claiming there is hope for season 3

    http://tinyurl.com/caqjzs

  100. Thanks Hadley, that blog post really stirred a bad reaction.

Cant wait fit the next episode, and hopefully it wont be the last.

Pleas bring it back for a season 3 FOX!!!!!!

  101. Has anyone considered that John and Cameron and / or John Henry, or even SkyNet v.0 gets the better of LMT Weaver in this finale, and imprisons her in the cooler?

  102. Speaking of which: what would happen to a LMT if it were to be split in many parts which would be kept isolated one from the other, in as many strong sealed boxes for example?

  103. It’s been very entertaining reading all of the speculations about Cameron and Skynet and D&D and all the other stuff. Since I’ve been posting quite a few blogs on all of that since last summer (feel free to go over and read them), it’s fun to finally having others join in the speculations.

For the promo, John’s “So, down deep, you want to kill me” quote seems like a red herring of sorts. I don’t think it makes Cameron any more of a threat in John’s eyes. Since S&D he’s known that she can go bad, and he also knows that she’s concerned that it’s a real possibility–she’s even given him a kill switch. It seems to be more of a sardonic way of acknowledging a reveal that her memory was never wiped and she was never reprogrammed.

Such a revelation would logically be necessary if she’s trying to explain that just because a being is “metal”, that doesn’t make them evil like Skynet. They can normally overcome that original code. It would then also follow that this would be her attempt at perhaps making John seriously think about killing JH without having enough facts.

Or John is just seconds away from “plastique in the CPU-port…squish”.

  104. River Tam line. I don’t think he really is, CJ, I know you’re just joking. I’m guessing she’ll ask him to deactivate her for his protection, right at the end. She will be the one leaving him.

I’m not sure about Sarah. I think the betrayal TD mentioned off camera already happened in “To the Lighthouse”. Sarah acted on what she believed was right though. I don’t know where she’ll be at the end, if JC really will be alone.

  105. when sarah said will burn down zeta corp to cameron she did not look happy i think she turn on john and join with weaver any one think this too?

  106. She’s a machine she can’t be happy.LOL

  107. xluthorcorpceox

Cameron kills Sarah.. it fits the betrayal and the death hints

  108. I think Cameron is not totally reprogrammed and could be from the Rogue Terminator faction

    “down deep…you wanna kill me”
    could it be?

  109. @Hadley

    Thank you for explaining.

  110. John [to Cameron]: Deep down… you really want to kill me.

Cameron [to John]: Maybe I will if you keep bringing it up…

John: You’re going to be holding this conversation over me for a long time, aren’t you.

    Cameron: We’re like elephants, John.

John: No… you just sound like any other human woman walking around on the planet.

    Cameron: Is that a compliment?

John: I don’t know. [looking down at the bed he's sitting on, and pressing up and down on the mattress as if testing it out] One thing I do know. This bed sure seems awfully comfy. [glancing up at Cameron]

Cameron: Why don’t you sleep on it, and tell me all about it in the morning?

John [as she walks out of the room]: It’s the crack about you not having a soul, isn’t it?

Cameron [from down the hallway]: Yes.

John [putting his head in his hand and rubbing his temple]: Thought so. [to himself] Stupid, John, stupid!

    :D

  111. “Some of us want peace”

Hey, did anybody happen to notice bracelets on Derek and his platoon prior to being abducted, that were then missing after their interrogations? Would be an interesting connection to the moment when Cameron drops the fist full of bracelets one at a time in front of Allison.

    just thinking

  112. @Al,

The timing’s all off for that to have occurred. That doesn’t make sense.

Cameron’s already established at John’s camp and is one of his closest companions.

Why would she need to get into the camp with the bracelets if she’s already there, and has been for a while?

For that hypothesis to work there would have to be two Cameron’s in one time-line. And the one who interrogated Alison and took her identity wouldn’t have known the other metal Cam was already there at John’s camp.

  113. Let’s see if we can reckon some of the timeline stuff:

    Allison Young missing.
    Allison interviewed and observed.
Derek’s squad observes Skynet work detail assembling Topanga facility.
    Derek’s squad captured.
    Derek’s squad tortured.
Allison feeds false info to Cameron.
Derek gives up JC’s camp information.
Cameron returns with bracelets, kills Allison.
Cameron gains JC’s trust, leads to Topanga success.
    Kyle sent back to 1984.
[new timeline due to Kyle: new JD]
    Connor starts reprogramming Terminators
[new timeline due to T1000 & T800 travel back in time: new JD]?
    Derek and others freed.
Derek finds out machines are now “allies”.
    Derek meets Jesse.
    Derek says goodbye to Jesse.
    Derek travels back in time.
[new timeline due to Derek: Derek tortured by grays, Jesse changes]
    Jesse boards the Jimmy Carter
    Jesse loses Derek’s baby.
Jesse gets Riley, travels back in time to 2008.
[new timeline due to Jesse: no significant change(?)]
Cameron & Cromartie travel back in time to 1999?
Cameron & Cromartie travel forward in time to 2007.
[new timelines due to Cameron & Cromartie: TBD]
Catherine Weaver travels back in time (to 2008)?
[new timeline due to Weaver: TBD]

With every time travel back, a new timeline is created to replace the previous ones. There still needs to be added Vick, Victoria, Carter, Stark, water-bottle, and who knows how many others? Even so, with the above top-of-my-head memory of the sequence (i.e. I might have goofed something), Cameron is able to be known by Derek in Derek’s timeline following Derek’s and Allison’s experiences, and also know Jesse in the altered timeline. Obviously our Cameron shares the slightly altered Jesse timeline.

There is also an interesting twist that’s possible. Cameron could possibly have traveled to 1963 to aid in the construction of the plasma rifle and time machine and then returned to 2027. If she’d left after Derek’s chronoportation and returned (via a 1963 time machine test) to the new altered future with altered Jesse, that might encourage Cameron to go back again to 1999… this would give us a Derek timeline Cameron who could also know altered timeline Jesse.

I don’t see why people think time travel is confusing. :-D

The main problem is that we don’t know the exact sequence or the gaps. How long were Allison and Derek in custody? Since there were no reprogrammed machines (that we know about) prior to Derek’s capture, and enough upon his return so that one is captaining a sub, the amount of time can’t be trivial.

  114. April 4th, 2009 at 6:41 pm

    IF

    John Connor = The Messiah
    John Henry = God
    Skynet = The Devil

    Then: who is Judas? ;)

……………FOX is Judas if they CANCEL………..

  115. I say:

Bring on THE JOHN CONNOR CHRONICLES!

Ehum with Cameron at his side of course. ;-)

Time to see John becoming the leader, Sarah had a good run though.

  116. “John Connor = The Messiah
    John Henry = God
    Skynet = The Devil”

    Sarah Connor = Virgin Mary

  117. @CJ

Lets analize how the time travel works in the Terminator.
Basicly you have 2 concepts of time travel:

    1) Separate time lines - whenever someone is send back in time and changes the past it has immidiate effect on the future, example: if John Connor dies at the age of 16 the machines (possibly) rule the Earth in the future, possibly because maybe someone else took over the leadership of human resistance and maybe he was more efficient than John, maybe he even won the war. But this concept fails in some events, example later.

With this concept when John gets older he DOESNT HAVE to send Kyle back in time, because the past Kyle who was sent to protect John and get Sarah pregnant is from another timeline. John can keep Kyle in his present because he already was born and sending or not sending Kyle back cant change that.

    2) Whatever happened, happened (like in Lost) means that any choice John, Sarah or anyone makes in the past doesnt matter because it has already happened. They may think thay change stuff but thats not true because it all leads to the same result.

I probably shouldnt use another show to describe it, but it works so perfectly in Lost.
The crew thats sent back in time makes choices thinking they change the time but it all leads to the result they already familirar with. Example, Sayid shoots young Ben thinking that if Ben died in the past he would have never brought all the ppl to the island but Ben is just badly wounded. Jack refuses to operate on Ben thinking that if Ben died in the past he would have never brought all the ppl to the island. So Sawyer and Kate take Ben to the others because they are the only ones that can help him.
Sayid and Jack making their choices only repeated the time, their choices eventualy lead to Ben becoming the leader of the others just as we know it happened.

With this concept when John gets older he HAS to send Kyle back to concieve him to maintain the timeline, because if he hadnt Sarah would have never got pregnant.

So for the most of the series and movies we are lead to belive that the time line concept works here, examples: J-day being delayed, Derrek and Jessey coming from 2 diffrent timelines with diffrent events - things can be changed. But as I said I can find at least 1 event that it fails at.

Example: when Kyle is sent back in time, a new time line is created where Sarah gets pregnant with him and gives birth to John right?
The question is who sends Kyle back from the future then, because in the original timeline Kyle is present only as a kid when J-day comes. Sarah doesnt give birth to John because Kyle wasnt sent back - John doesnt even exist.

So for this one particular event we have to assume that ‘whatever happened, happend’ works - the time repeats itself future John needs to send Kyle back to be past Johns father.

So as you can see its all mixed up, I guess the writers never gave a thought to it. I was sure it was gonna be the same in Lost but after the last episode you can see that the writers follow just one concept.

  118. I think Cameron is pulling a T2 with the cops at the station; meaning she is shooting to simply clear the way and not harm the policeman in order to free Sarah. If anyone can shoot to simply wound rather than kill with a shotgun, it’s a terminator. This ep looks amazing. At last, just Cameron and John running things. Now sh*t’s gonna get done. ;)

  119. We should consider this: FUTURE Derek is dead, but PRESENT Derek is still alive. Actually, he is a young boy playing baseball with his bro in some field in L.A.. Even Jessi and Riley are still alive, or maybe they aren’t born yet , in the present. They have to grow and become soldiers in the next future. And can we forget Allison/Cameron? Don’t they all need protection from T-888 sent for them?
    Daryl.

  120. John = The Messiah
    John Henry = God
    Skynet = Satan
    Sarah = “Virgin” Mary

    Cameron = Mary Magdalene

In some respects Derek has acted like Judas with the whole Jesse thing.

Mary Magdalene in the excised Gospel of Mary was Jesus’ wife and closest confidant. In the actual scrolls unearthed it described that Mary would be seen kissing Jesus, which ruffled feathers.

Her being a woman and the most trusted of Jesus’ disciples did not sit well with the men in the group either.

In the Counsel of Nicene, where they first edited the text of what is known as The Christian Bible and The New Testament by committee (isn’t that how history tends to get written??), they dropped the Gospel of Mary and made Mary a whore instead.

    Go figure.

  121. Love what appears to be a “nod” to Arnold’s “grey jacket” in the first film!

    Looking forwards to this…

  122. Going deeper into Cameron’s Biblical role…

    Look at it this way:

Cameron, in this sense, is a threatening factor to John’s group of followers. Not only is she a woman, she is a Terminator and his right hand “man.”

He may have shown some small affections to Cameron in public, and she follows him around everywhere. People are seeing this from their fearless leader and they are upset.

She gives advice, and because she’s “metal” everything she says is suspect.

She is seen as a threat and a danger to John. When all she really wants is to love and help him.

Mary Magdalene’s, as stated above, role in actual “hard” history has changed as the original Hebrew texts are being found and translated. She wasn’t a whore to be despised by the male church leaders of the day… because she was really Jesus’ wife and an equal to Jesus in the “power structure.”

Jesus, The Messiah, was a little bit human after all.

The Wizard of Oz is just a man behind the curtain.

  123. Now, everybody on this here blog…

I got more rhymes than the Bible’s got Psalms
And just like the Prodigal Son I’ve returned
Anyone stepping to me you’ll get burned
Cause I got lyrics, but you ain’t got none
If you come to battle bring a shotgun!
But if you do you’re a fool, cause I duel, to the death
Trying to step to me, you’ll take your last breath
I got the skills, come get your fill
Cause when I shoot the gift, I shoot to Kill
I came to get down, I came to get down
So get out your seat and jump around!

    Jump around! [3X]
Jump up, jump up and get down!
    Jump! [17X]

I’m the cream of the crop, I rise to the top
I never eat a pig, ’cause a pig is a cop
Or better yet a Terminator, like Arnold Schwarzenegger
Try to play me out like, as if my name was Sega
But I ain’t going out like no punk bitch
Get used to one style and yo and I might switch
it up up and around, then buck buck you down
Put out your head and then you wake up in the Dawn of the Dead
I’m coming to get ya, I’m coming to get ya
Spitting out lyrics, homie I’ll wet ya
I came to get down, I came to get down
So get out your seat and jump around!

    Jump around! [3X]
Jump up, jump up and get down!
    Jump! [33X]

Yo, this is dedicated.. to Joe… DeBerg… Dakota!
    Grab your bozack, punk!

  124. what if john puts cameron’s chip in john henry to infiltrate tehe network

  125. Is it too far-fetched to suggest that Brian Austin Greene’s character might be a cyborg? Who else could have been sent from the future that John would have trusted more? Ready for him to reboot?

  126. Btw funny thing is that even tho the shows name is ‘… Sarah Connor chronicles’ most of the audience watches it because of Cameron and John, and the only cool thing about John is that he falls in love with Cameron (cause most of the time he acts like wuss duh).

Im pretty sure that if Summer Glau leaves the series over half of the audience does too.

  127. One possibility: I think Sarah and John will possibly disagree over John Henry and whether or not to destroy him(i.e. the Turk). Sarah will betray John by burning Ziera Corp. to the ground, or at least trying to against John’s wishes.

Second possibility: Cameron’s true mission is to kill Weaver, and she’s using John to get near her.

    RCN says: borne man

All this Jesus-speak has affected the RCN.

  128. gunn, I afraid this will not work. I think JH is more powerful to override Cameron’s chip. He is ready to intrusions now.

  129. Put Cameron up against a power like Skynet, now? Not until she’s ready, young grasshopper.

In time, she will be able to bust a cap in Skynet’s proverbial ass with John looking on with pride.

    John: That’s my girl.
    ——-
    In Matrix terminology:

    John = Neo

    Cameron = Trinity

    The Matrix = Skynet

  130. @Wolfie,

I betcha that’s what’s going down, my friend. Cameron and maybe CW (with John Henry just being John Henry) convince John Connor that John Henry needs to be protected and Sarah, instead, tries to burn ZeiraCorp to the ground.

    Sarah = The Betrayer

Cameron (and maybe with JH in tow) = The Leaver(s)

John gets a healthy dose of “alone-ness” and comes to terms with a truth that he has been hiding from himself (one of many):

He loves Cameron and wants her with him. Cameron was telling the truth. He turns around and goes after Cameron (and John Henry?) to get her back.

Sarah must reconcile with what she’s done.

  131. But therein lies the rub. Sarah isn’t a reconciler. She’s a play now, pay for it later kinda gal. Shoot first - ask questions later. She’s chock-full of regrets though. I feel sorry for her, really. She’s just this simple waitress that got sucked into a time-warp, and she became a hard-assed bitch in order to survive. I think if given the choice, she’d have swallowed a bullet a loooooooooong tome ago if she knew John was gonna make it to the finish line without her.

    RCN says: stretched domestic

Yes she is. Truly stretched beyond her means.

  132. To all the characters on TSCC, and maybe to all of us as well:

Enya: Pilgrim (if she’s good enough for “The Lord of the Rings,” she’s good enough for Terminator IMHO).

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B5YKN32xoXw

    Pilgrim, how you journey
    on the road you chose
to find out why the winds die
    and where the stories go.

All days come from one day
    that much you must know,
    you cannot change what’s over
    but only where you go.

    One way leads to diamonds,
    one way leads to gold,
    another leads you only
    to everything you’re told.

    In your heart you wonder
    which of these is true;
the road that leads to nowhere,
the road that leads to you.

    Will you find the answer
in all you say and do?
    Will you find the answer
    in you?

    Each heart is a pilgrim,
    each one wants to know
the reason why the winds die
    and where the stories go.

    Pilgrim, in your journey
    you may travel far,
for pilgrim it’s a long way
to find out who you are…
    Pilgrim, it’s a long way
to find out who you are…

    Pilgrim, it’s a long way
to find out who you are…

  133. Marvin Gaye: Piece of Clay (it sure fits)

    http://www.rhapsody.com/player?type=track&id=tra.21679378

    “Everybody wants somebody
to be their own piece of clay”

  134. Wolfie, she has killed a total of one person her whole life, and that one kill was out of self defense. I don’t see where you get your “ask questions later” thing with her. a theme throughout the series has always been that she values life, and Cameron does not.

  135. Because Sarah will do ANYTHING to protect John. Just ask Dr. Silbermann, or Miles Dyson. Sarah isn’t the most stable horse in the barn.

It’s just like Sarah’s kidnapper told her: dying would be too easy.

  136. I’m tired of Sarah. This entire season has dwelled on her twisted outlook and stupid mistakes. She’s really been over exposed. I would not mind at all if they killed her in the finale and focused to show on JC and Cameron next season. I think the ratings would rise significantly.

  137. If the best warrior Future John ever knew, and we can suppose that he’s seen quite a few, is ’stretched beyond her means’ as you pretend, what does it say of all the others?

  138. A great warrior doesn’t make such stupid mistakes. In the real world she’d be a dead warrior almost immediately.

  139. Who hasn’t made stupid mistakes in this show?
    Derek hiding Jessie…
    John + Riley in Mexico…
    Cammy killing on a ‘maybe’…
    Ellison, that’s all I say…
    Jessie’s master plan…
    Josh’s Sarah’s arc (really, three time ~45min?…)
    You betting on Jessies death…

  140. John did seem to give Sarah that look, when he added up the Savannah pic on the phone. They were so close at Dr. Shermans office and it was Sarah that decided to stop looking there and John wasn’t too keen on it. He needs to remind her of that and take the reins from her. That mistake she made my have allowed the other mistakes to occour in the first place, as they lost a more direct lead to weaver when the gave up looking at Dr. Sherman.

  141. @Snake and Innocent

What human being doesn’t make stupid mistakes at some point - especially when they’re under stress. We’re soooooo used to seeing charicatures of human beings on network TV that we’ve descended into complaining when they don’t act predicatable and logical. In the REAL WORLD, people don’t act logically and predictable. Catherine Weaver’s first sentences of the Season are about this very idea. From far enough away, human beings seem logical and predictable, but get close enough to one - and they will undoubtedly surprise and possibly disappoint you because up-close we appear quite the opposite.

Okay - now this is getting freaky. RCN says: Jacobsen postals

  142. dont know if anyone watched it on space tonight, but they showed a preview for the final, and half of cameron’s face was missing

  143. Pre-bed breakthrough…also please note that I am not terribly religious, but I always hoped Catholic school would pay off one day…

    JH & Skynet: dueling gods
Savannah & Ellison: basically, two manifestations of goodness; one innocence, the other morality
    Weaver: a prophet, or a Solomon-esque figure
    Sarah: Mary
John: Jesus (as stated, “some sort of messiah”)
Derek: John the Baptist (killed randomly, head on a platter-ish)

    which leaves…

    Cameron: original sin.

Think about it: Cameron is inherently flawed in the status quo. No amount of choice, no amount of engineering, no amount of change is fixing it. She metaphorically and literally has a bomb in her head! There are two options. The first is that John dies for her sins (which, ultimately, he does). The second is that she’s born anew. A cleansing, which symbolically takes place over the head (chip). John Henry needs a child of goodness, his goodness, to exist as surely as Skynet has already created a legion of its evil.

My theory: season ends with John now aware of his duty (remember Jesus in the desert, temptation, Riley…), Sarah consequently aware, and banged up Cam requiring salvation. in final scene, door closes on John Henry going to work on Cam…

Implications: apostles (some of whom have begun to be identified; Lauren Fields, Martin Bedell, etc.) become more central figures, Judas (Jesse) comes back, various miracles are performed, and ultimately John is rejected by his own people (even if the killing is done by Terms / Romans).

But the reason why so many people identify with Cameron is because we are Cameron. Flawed, hopeful, capable of good, in need of something more.

Any reason you guys chose to end the season around Easter? ;)

  144. @Wolfie:

You are forgetting that both Sarah and John are supposedly trained in weapons and tactics. That training should negate these stupid mistakes. That is what training is for. Obviously niether of them learned very much. I’m saying it is out of character to do this many stupid things in one season. Everyone screws the pooch now and then but this depiction of supposedly trained soldiers repeatedly making the most basic mistakes is worthy of our ire.

    @ Innocent

I agree with most of your list but Jessie is dead, done, finished.

  145. I am so disappointed that Derik is dead. Please find a way to bring him back. Who was the brainiac to thought of this big idea.

If you killed Sarah no one would have cared, doesn’t she die anyway.

  146. Ok lets try to post this again!!! Website wasn’t working for me last night.

Alamo I agree with your post. The family aspect is what I enjoy about the show but the potentially love story between John and Cameron takes this show to a new level I have not seen in any of the sci-fi shows I watch in a long time.
That’s why some of us have been calling it TCCC for fun. Terminator the Cameron Connor Chronicles!!! :)
    LOL TC3 for short!! :)

Etienne called it Terminator: The John and Cameron Chronicles which I also like. LOL!!!

CJ I have wondered if Cameron went to 1963 first to over see the building of the bank and the time machine.

She could have been in stand by mode until a certain point in time. Or jumped forward with another time machine.
But I still think she had to check to see if the bank was still there in 1999. Could be why it took so long for her to track down John. She had to track down people.

Ok I’m just going to have to ask this but its been SO long since I saw T2 but what really happened to Miles Dyson? I can’t remember.

Dan or someone help me out here!!! Please! :)

    And come on season 3!!!

  147. Kea:

Miles Dyson got shot up during the battle between the police and Arnie, Sarah, and John. Dyson held a dead mans switch on an explosive charge and stayed inside cyberdyne while Arnie, Sarah and JC escaped. When Dyson finally expired he released the switch and the whole place went up in a spectacular fireball. He died helping to destroy Cyberdyne and assisting John and Sarahs escape so the could continue the fight.

  148. By the way, did you notice that Cameron changed her hair in this clip? It looks like she’s dollin’ herself up while mom is in the slammer. I wonder why?

  149. What if they wipe Cameron’s chip and download John Henry onto it?

    random thought:
I always wondered if the house they were in for season 1 had belonged to the engineer that was sent back to build the time machine into the bank vault.

  150. Snake thank you so much. :)
That makes sense. I always wondered what happened to Miles Dyson. I just remember that Sarah did not kill him.
I have to go hunt down my T2 tape and rewatch that movie one of these days. Its been so long since I’ve seen it.

  151. My pleasure Kea.
