Whoa. What just happened? Are they for real? Talk about the Adam Raised a Cain episode right here, right now (after you’ve seen the show!).
AH! I forgot again. John Henry/Savannah’s song at the end of the episode is an old Scottish Celtic folk song entitled Donald, Where’s Your Trousers? More on Monday.
Mind Blowing. Simply mind blowing!
And I haven’t even seen it yet! The waves of power emanating off this episode arrived even before the show started.
—-
And just think what it will be like actually viewing it at 7pm!
Methinks I understand why Dan already posted.
RCN says: vodka cluding
:^D
this episode is already amazing
but my antenna keeps having problems picking up the signal, will need to rewatch later
>:O
*Jaw drops* Keeps watching….
OMG! I am so freaked out! I can’t believe they did that and wow did it look real.
was this real what the hell just happened
OMG! i cant believe what happened!!!
I can’t believe they killed Derek, didn’t see that coming at all. It was just “blam” he was dead I can’t believe that.
John needs to tell him in the future to duck…. oh I guess he won’t be there now…..so how did John send him back….. hate the circular references in time travel.
35 minutes to go!
Burp! [stumbles about] Yup, the vodka is kicking in.
DEREKS DEAD
:(
:(
along with cromarties death this has got to be one of the saddest episodes ever…
and he died such a normal, non-main character death too…
also, what if cameron is john henry’s “brother”?
[haha, recaptcha is "strike yourself"]
season 3 is looking less likely as this show continues
oh, and i knew he would die, but i was hoping it would be a glorious death… and i thought it would be next episode
[i have my theories ellison is next...]
why do you say that im4?
Agree with SCC_Im4… No Derek; No likey…
if everyone is killed off except for john how can you call the show scc?
that’s why sarah won’t die
OMG!!!
He works for my mommy..
The look on John’s face, priceless……
this is messed up what the heck just happened to Derek?????????? He was awesome!! Why ruin a great thing?
i loved him
I only want to kill him.
HAHAHAH you go cameron!
“a chip”
could cromarties chip still exist?!
hopefully
i’m still going with him being the best terminator ever, being followed by arnold/cameron tied for 2nd and t1000 at 3rd
Gonna be a rumble in the basement? Cameron and Cromartie and the Weaver chick?…Hmmmmmmmm?????
And what was that comment that the bullet didn’t come from the security guard… what security guard…?
This episode kicks ass I can’t believe how all the bs is coming together I love this show
wow, they are getting kill happy on this show, the way they killed derek, charlie?
Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
I want more, don’t do this to us.
I knew Weaver and Sarah meeting wouldn’t go well, but I wasn’t expecting THAT…
THIS SUCkS…. will they print “sucks”?
Another great episode!!!!!
Derek is gone. That’s probably the saddest I’ve been in the past 2 seasons. He meant a lot.
Ellison is pissing me off now; that’s pretty lame - regardless of him not knowing. The heck is he doing working for Weaver man, seriously.
I feel so sorry for John and Sarah.
As much as it twisted my emotions; this was an amazing episode. Great writing/directing.
Brian Austin Green; I’ll miss you bro! Such a good character.
Wow simply amazing! Derek going was not what I wanted to see however the episode was still great. Finale is going to be unreal I bet!
How many episodes left, that was a crazy episode is john henry skynet or something completly different? and why is savanah so important? Great episode tho cant wait till next weeks
Wasn’t the ending haunting with that song, John looking at his mother being arrested and Derek being buried…. brilliant
RIP Derek
Wow… OK. *TOTALLY* wasn’t expecting that one!
OMG. I just about had a heart attack when Derek died.
And Cameron was right — she should have killed Ellison.
What is going to happen to Sarah???
Don’t lose Sarah too!
OMG! This is what makes this show one of the best on television. Derek is dead, didn’t see that coming. I’m wondering what is going on with John Henry and Savannah, does Savannah have a LARGE role to play in the future? hmm? The stakes are INTENSELY high now, come on Fox don’t let us down; give us a third!!!!
Derek dead, Sarah arrested, JH possibly skynet. Oh I am looking forward to next week.
Derek is shooting back on the 90210 scene I hear. I will never look as B.A.G again in the same light. This was his best character, yet! I”M THINKING, is Weaver the result of the liquid T agreement that John suggested in the future? Is she Johns attempt to change the lack of regard for human life that Cybordine caused the FIRST time around? If so, this will make the battle fair from the beginning, his fleet for the resistance from the very beginning…???
I just felt empy with Dereks death… If he had to die why not fighting? And sara? I mean… where is this going? I just thought this episode will give me an idea of what is going on…. I also really liked the dinamic between derek, sara, cameron and john. I can’t picture it the way it is now… you know? Maybe next episode will help? I really love the SCC…..
ok,do we know who that was burying something at the end,and what it was they were burying????????
what ARE all those “graves” with nothing but years on them??
Ahhhhhhhh OMG WTF F F F!
Oh did Cameron just shoot Derrick ?
IS Weaver somehow working for JC in the Future?
I’m so flipping mad about Derrick being dead.
If FOX dumps this show they are so crazy. It’s amazing. What fabulous writing!
AHh Words cannot describe and the end with the song and Sarah being captured and Derrick being buried So moving So sad. The feeling of being left alone OMG
I can um not even speak..type breathe.
Please keep this show!!
Man that was one fraking awsome epp god I love this show is it next week already
OMG!!! Derek!!! I can’t believe they killed him, and so fast too! We will miss you BAG. I wish he had a more glorious final scene though. Brian Austin Green - 4/3/09. S2Ep21 - Adam Raised a Cain.
I loved everyone’s reactions when they put 2 and 2 together and figued out the Ellison-JH/Cromartie/Weaver connection. Honestly, they appeared scared; like Cromartie was going to come back even stronger and kill them.
How about Sarah getting arrested? That came as a shock. She had a pretty awesome last stand though. This makes me wonder how she will fit into the finale if shes in jail. Perhaps the “water delivery man” will come and bust her out? The previews for next week do look quite intriguing. Side note: does Sarah have cancer? Cameron’s comment would have us believe that she does.
That was an insane hour. What will next week be like then!?
Oh forgot how to spell Derek up there oops
Hysterical typing
On the topic of JH (it’s about time he got some real screen time!), I loved the scene where he was looking in the mirror. Even though JH has been self-aware for awhile, it was great symbolism. I felt like at that moment he was seeing himself in a different light than the T888 schematics and racks of hardware that the worm saw when it took control of his endo. Well done.
I thought when Charley died that Derek might be safe, at least until the next episode.
Maybe Cameron is going to try to break Sarah out of jail next time.
position NuclearExp
OK
Just to comment again.
When Derek was shot, I didn’t actually believe what just happened. The way they kept it really quiet and moved it along - it gave it a much more serious and sad tone.
Dwelling on that stuff can sometimes spoil the importance of that character. I think they did it perfectly, based solely on the fact of how angry/upset I am, and I’m sure many of you are.
Josh and the team know how to ‘play’ with us. Bastards! haha
I can’t believe they killed Derek off? The last few shows they have cleaned house w/some of these actors. Derek, was such a major player/loved the dynamic between him/John.
Fantastic show, kept me on the edge of my seat. Praying that we will see a twist w/Derek death.
how do we know that that was derrick being put in the ground?
how would he fit in that little box?
does this mean that all those other “graves” are other derricks?
meaning that another derrick from another point in the future can still come back to now?
@Persia, I don’t think it was Cameron who shot Derek. Both of the dead humans in that scene were shot square in the center of the forehead. I thought we established last week that Cameron has poor aim
Somehow, this family stopped being a TV family a long time ago. I took them in. I cared for them. That was Hadley’s doing.
And now, Hadley throws dirt on my family while I stand at the graveside and watch.
He beats them and arrests them.
To torture me.
This is the thanks I get.
For watching.
He makes it difficult to wish him well.
He is a master.
Weaver’s comment on Savannah/Ellison’s survival being dependent on JH’s makes me think that Weaver is actually good. I think the future has 3 parties: the humans (good), the metal (bad), and the liquid (neutral?). (I know good/bad can sort of be argued. Robots are just programmed and humans aren’t the nicest things on the earth.) This explains the whole truce thing on the sub. I believe JH is a new form of SkyNet that Weaver is building, and that is why it is so different. The robots can be used for their intended purposes with the value for human life. JH definately values Savannah’s life.
My oh my what an episode. What a show! S3 please!
NOOOOOOOOOOO! The Reese brothers are together at last! What is left? Didn’t they say last week that of the women left in his life: one will betray him and the other will leave him?!?!?
Happy hunting Kyle and Derek!
to charlie: read my other post, liquid can be good or bad, but we DO know that John tried to make an agreement with liquid one time, whos to say it was a failure the second or third time? my previous blog stated:
I”M THINKING, is Weaver the result of the liquid T agreement that John suggested in the future? Is she Johns attempt to change the lack of regard for human life that Cybordine caused the FIRST time around? If so, this will make the battle fair from the beginning, his fleet for the resistance from the very beginning…???
Said it once, said it probably fifty times, but Terminator is all about three things: Mother, Son, Protector with everyone else being extra weight and tonight’s episode just proved it. Did my jaw drop when they killed Derek? You better believe it! But to say that I’m surprised they’d have the balls to kill him off then no. As long as the core three remain JF and company can do whatever the hell they want. RIP Derek, you were by far one of my most favorite characters of all time, maybe not Wolverine but definitely above Spiderman,.
Finally a cop that does his job! Though it didn’t have the best outcome possible, hey is there any chance we can get that guy on the team? Trade Ellison for him? Because you know he actually does behave like a good cop should: ask the right questions, follow your instincts, not spending time moping outside your ex-wife’s house.
Slowly but surely John is becoming isolated and its getting more and more likely he’ll pull a Buffy season 3 exit and run away before anyone else gets hurt “because of him.” Guess we can all expect to see a T1 police station shootout next week as Cameron goes in to free Sarah Connor or die trying.
Thing is if she does it will be because John tells her to and not because its her mission which also means that she is finally recognizing this John as the John whom she follows in the future. I wonder if she’ll obey the “no killing people” policy yet? And as for John? I wouldn’t want to be in Ellison’s shoes.
One episode left for the season! Can’t wait! Plus an extended look at Salvation? I’ve been watching that movie’s trailers like a madman - the third one that plays 9 Inch Nail’s “The Day the World Went Away” song? AWESOME! If you haven’t seen it yet check out the link, it’s tight: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pcg5t0mT8V4
Again a brilliant actor you are Brian and I look forward to seeing you more in other future projects.
RIP Derek, you earned it.
Sarah in jail. Is Sarah the woman who “leaves” John?
Chris - most cities/counties creamate deceased when they’re getting a pauper’s grave. That’s how Derick ‘fit’ into the little box.
This was a stunning episode, the John Connor character is starting to mature and harden. Sarah’s arrest was surprising and it appears there will have to be a lot of loose ends tied up next week or we’ll have to wait until season 3.
remember when cameron was interrogating alison young, and when talking about the robots completly exterminating the humans, she said “some of us dont want that”.
and she had people[seperated by race] and animals in cages?
there is a third faction at work here in addition to the humans of the resistance vs. the robots of cyberdyne.
Completely devastated about Derek… just devastated… what the FREAK?! Do you think there’s any way they will bring him back. No Derek, no likey.
This has turned into the saddest show ever. How can anyone live with the weight of the world that John has? My heart just breaks for him. What a testement to the actors and writers of this show.
How could they kill Derek!! That was cold, just like a machine.
Does Cameron betray John? Is it a ruse? A way to infiltrate the Weaver camp?
Making Derek’s death so “unglorious” was some of the best writing I have seen in a while…it is significant to the plot/character that he died in such a way. It is more “real”…
For those who really can’t figure it out, the burial site is for unclaimed bodies (which have been cremated, hence the small box), Kyle Reese was buried there 25 years ago and now Derek has been buried there with his brother…though the contrast in their characters as they relate to Sarah is amazing.
If this show gets canceled it will be because not enough people are interested in the great character studies that are going on. Kudos to the writers/producers for sticking to a vision for this show and not caving into the lowest common denominator.
The scene with Derrick just a shocker - blam gone…. move along. The same guy who survived the drones and hunters in the future and torture by the Terminators - bam gone… move along… wow.
Not quite sure where Sarah’s arrest fits in and why or if Weaver turned her in.
Next week will be a blast I hope….
WOW! WOW! Did I already say WOW! Awesome episode and I totally can’t wait for next Friday. However, I am completely bummed about Derrick - BAG is so awesome. I hope he comes back somehow (time travel/dream sequences etc) in a future episode. Those of us girls in the 35-40 range will miss the eye candy that he provided.
On a more serious note, does anyone know the meaning to the song John Henry and Savannah keep singing. There has to be a purpose for it, everything on this show has a purpose. Can anyone enlighten me? Also, I just want to say that the little girl that plays Savannah is the cutest thing ever - great casting.
Why did Derek have to get shot by the only terminator with good aim
@Robert
Actually that’s the second time Derek got shot in the series by a Terminator. Unfortunately this time this terminator had, like you said, good aim.
I am so pissed that Derek died - I actually cried like a baby - so unexpected and I LOVE HIM ON THE SHOW!!
This show better not get cancelled too - like Prison Break!!!
Can’t believe they killed him! Wife and I are hooked on the show, but this worries me there’ll be no 3rd season.
Only show I watch on TV too…
LOVED this episode and HATE the fact that FOX has TERMINATED it! Yes, this is true. Just read around and you’ll see this is not fake. The show is done, cancelled and all because they can’t make revenue off advertisements. They claim poor viewership, but the truth is they cancelled it because TiVo and DVR users skip through the commercials. If they had put the show on a different night, say Wednesday to replace the repulsive Knight Rider (sorry KR fans, I just don’t like the new one at all) they would’ve had far more viewers. Instead, they put it on Friday night at 8pm when hardly anybody’s home. So what do fans do? They record it, like I do, and watch it when they get home. Plain truth. Read and you’ll find this to be true, unfortunately.
FOX, you’ve made a terrible mistake because TSCC is one of the greatest shows you’ve EVER put out. Now you’re replacing it with another one of these moronic “reality” shows. Who are you kidding? There’s nothing real about them. This show has really meant something to me and all others on this board, I’m sure. I will miss all the great actors, staff and production crew that made this show so great. It’s too bad FOX is all about the money and nothing about the people who support them. I guess we mean nothing to them. Hey, at least sell it to another network to keep it running. That’s about the only way you can save face, IMHO. BOO!!!! to FOX and HURRAY for TSCC!!
By the way, I think it has become pretty obvious that CW is on the “good” team here…
When did people start thinking that it was a Terminator who came back in time to CREATE skynet?! The concept of time travel is complicated, but that is simply ridiculous. There are some things we can be pretty sure of…that John Connor survives this show, as well as Sarah (it being named TSCC, after all). IMHO, the likely end point of this season (even if it is cancelled) would be that CW convinces the Connors that she is on their side, and the fight against skynet goes on…
Back to time travel…keep this in perspective: The “future” has already happened and is continuing to happen (i.e. the war against sknet). The fact is that this show takes place in the PAST. 2009 is the past. Obviously. So, what is often confusing is that these characters are working not to alter the path to the present (2035) but to change THEIR present (2009) and therefore create a new path that never sees judgement day. The paradox (in both a theoretical and commercial sense) is that preventing judgement day would prevent the whole point of the Terminator franchise! In other words, the Connors are destined to lose their battle to stop SkyNet as long as the franchise is viable…and we know it is viable right now since there are movies on the horizon and other projects assumably.
Confusing…yes…but hopefully you can see why I think it is highly unlikely that CW/JH are or become skynet.
@playbassken
can you provide a link? i have looked around and i haven’t found anything credible.
if it sometimes seems sarah goes a little over the top in her efforts to keep her son safe and hidden, this [along with charlies'death] really drives home what motivates her to those extremes.
WOW that all i can say
@Jman
John Connor sent Kyle Reese back in time to both protect AND “create” himself. Why can’t Skynet do the same? (not that I think JH is Skynet).
I can’t believe they killed Derek, this totally SUCKS!!! Why do I get the feeling we are not getting our Jameron kiss, damn!
John…I am sorry for you’re loss.
playbassken, other than Lanie Grace, where else have you read that TSCC has been cancelled? I mean, I can see it happening yes but I haven’t seen any reliable information to suggest it already has.
In fact, I truly believe that if it were to be cancelled, it would have been done before this season was up. And if it is cancelled now, I would guess they will end it with either a 2 hr special or a shortened fall season. I doubt they’ll just pull the plug.
IAlso, we knew Derek was going (and Jessie)….the actors both got new jobs many weeks ago on new shows (his on CW, she’s in the new Melrose Place).
R.I.P. Derek.. D:
Now that was a shock.. I DID NOT see that coming.
I had a feeling that Derek might die in the finale but.. holy hell, he just walked in the room and boom! he’s dead. He will be greatly missed! =[
WOW.. right from the start this episode had me on the edge of my seat!!
This whole episode was just EPIC! I need to watch this one a few hundred more times… there was just to much awesome for one viewing.
Aww.. was I the only one who thought those John Henry and Savannah moments were really cute? They’re like best friends in some weird kinda way..
I liked how John Henry was attached to Savannah, the way he didn’t want any harm to come to her. It truly shows that John Henry does care about humans, and from what Weaver said.. does this mean that John Henry really isn’t skynet? He’s there to stop skynet? Could his “brother” then be some form of skynet then?
Ohh, and their song at the end was pretty damn amazing.. I’ll need to get it on my ipod
Everything is all coming together now… both Team Connor and Team Weaver are meeting face to face.
Did you see the look on John Connor’s face when Savannah started talking about John Henry? Priceless! Oh and the way Cameron wanted to kill Ellison.. Haha and then John Connor going after him at the end and Cameron had to hold him back. Things just don’t look good for Ellison. The storyline is becoming so intense! And then leaving it where Sarah Connor gets arrested and John & Cameron are on their own!
How am I going to survive this week when you leave things like that?
Thank goodness for DVR, I’m off to watch this episode again!
Thank you for this PHENOMENAL episode!
From the acting to the writing this episode has to be one of my top favorites hands down!
I LOVE THIS SHOW!!!
spudster, come on. We know that the show is based on a blunder in time travel theory to begin with. John could not have known he was sending back someone to father himself. He was simply making a tactical move to protect his mother, knowing that if she were killed by Arnold then he would not be born (which is really not the case if you study time theory…the past is always the past.)
So, this is the paradox of the entire franchise….the “miracle” if you will. Obviously, John in 2035’s father was originally not Kyle Reese. As I say, the past is the past. Yet when Kyle went back he BECAME John’s father and created a new path into the future…the path that we are presently following. Does that mean the other path no longer exists? Another discussion altogether.
couldn’t Derek possibly come back i mean since there seems to be multiple different futures, like how derek and jesse were from different futures, he could be sent again from one he is still alive in but this would be increadibly unlikely, plus it wouldn’t be the same derek. also could weaver be the same machine from the episode with jesse in the sub, maybe weaver is an ally in a way and jonh henry will somehow prevent skynet, i mean why would another machine try to kill him unless it was cameron. i dunno im just writing whatever i think.
i dont think preventing judgement day is future john/camerons objective at all.i think future john spent so much time with cameron,”fell” for her,and sent her back to steer his younger selfs’ future path/his present towards a co-existence between man and machine.
he was this mighty warrior who was a master at fighting and destroying the machines in the name of mankind, but take into account what jesse had to say about the john she “knew” and we see that he has become something very much other than that.
why and how we dont know.
i swear if the rug gets yanked out from under me with this series i am absolutly DONE wasting my time watching shows on tv.F’N DONE.
the only other show i watch is lost and that has a set end date.
AAAHHHHH!!!!!!!! :):):):):):) Cool!!!!!!! Okay, kill sarah and give us s3.
P.S. What did BAG say to Thomas in the april fools reel? hint hint.
Wow! This was some of the best writing I seen. Didn’t see that one coming. Will John Henry change sides? They may bring Derrek back. Going to miss him.
Fu*K!!! they had better not be canceling this show!
It is one of the top 3 shows on in my opinion!
why not switch nights then?
Your freaking idiots if you cancel it!
If you do I hope you all get genital warts!
and man why did they kill off Derek=(
@Jman
In this time line he knows he’s sending his father back. I’d think in every time line his mom would have eventually told him who is father is. (of course, it’s a time line blunder).
In any case, I have little doubt that he does know that he’s sending his father back. How could he not.
That was a great episode. This is why I watch the show faithfully every week.
Derek was not a necessary character to the storyline. He provided some distraction, stories and a connection to T1, but he was an expendible character.
I also believe that CW is trying to create a less “cruel” Skynet and that the “mean” Skynet is trying to stop her. But she was created to terminate and she will kill any human that stands in her way since the individual is not important to her, the prevention of the genocide of the human race is the important thing.
John is alone with Cameron now…I hope she doesn’t glitch.
Fox is calling the next episode the “Season Finale” and not the “Series Finale”; for what it’s worth.
right in the first movie didnt kyle tell sarah that john gave him the picture of her and he always wondered why?
would seem to imply that future john wanted kyle to know what she looked like.
On the showes cancelling, Maybe Scifi will pick it up. I think people that watch 24 or Lost would get into the show . Because the writing is complex and twist & turns. They should move the show to Tuesday with Fringe. They would have two hours solid slots. If they actually cancelled the show maybe they good do what they did with the pretender make into two hours of mini series . Fox get your head out the sand. 500,000 people went to the SciFi Conv. That means there is a couple of million people watching this REMEMBER FIREFLY!
BYFAR THE BEST SHOW ON TV. I STAY HOME ON FRI NIGHT SO THAT I DONT MISS IT. ITS SO INTENSE AND CREATIVE!!! GREAT WRITERS AND ACTORS. IF THIS SHOW GETS CANCELLED, IT WILL BE A GREAT LOSS TO FOX AND THE 1000S OF TSCC FANS…KEEP IT GOING AND MOVE IT TO ANOTHER NIGHT IF YOU WANT A BETTER AUDIENCE!!!! GREATEST SHOW ON TV, BETTER THAN LOST, HEROES, AND ALL THE OTHER CRAP THATS ON NOW ADAYS…AT LEAST THIS SHOW HAS PREMISE AND IS GOING SOMEWHERE IN THE SCRIPT!!! KEEP IT GOING…PLEASE!
Did anyone else catch the part where Savannah told CW that she couldn’t sing? =)
You know the series is over when they killed off Derek in a stupid fashion like that. How they give Charlie a better death then Derek. Are you serious? I hate to say it but TSCC has run it’s course. Be happy what we got in our episodes. Josh failed us on what could have been this season.
Thanks Josh.
I will go on the record saying it. Season 1 was way better then season 2. You can hate me or not but TSCC is over. The truth will set you free. We all will move on with our lives after TSCC. It’s called life. Be happy Fox gave us a full S2. I’m not going to mad at Fox if they cancel TSCC. If your mad with the decision, blame Josh and not Fox. Josh had a whole season to fix the problems in S2 and didn’t. End of story.
Don’t worry Derek is fine and dandy…
in the future. Which is where the 3rd season was going if we had gotten one.
I liked it much more then the cliched take a bullet for John Connor deaths. I bet most people yelled “What the F@ck!” when he got popped. Good TV elitists emotions from the viewer and love it or hate it, viewers will be talking about it for awhile.
I don’t believe what I just Saw !!
Weaver is benevolent. Its a complex goal.
Cameron is dressed in black for a reason, people
she is working for the bad guys.
John will piece it all together, when he realized Weaver and JH have good intentions and his so called protector from the future is not in on this chess game.
I knew Derrick was going to be killed off the serious. But, the writers made his death look stupid. If this guy is a soldier from the future, he should know not to walk in a potential line of fire! It just seamed like a cheap and easy way to end his character. The writers put more time and effort in ending Jesse’s character than Derrek’s.
I think JH is supposed to be an AI that later contributes to the development of Skynet. He is not Skynet directly but will become part of it in the future.
I’m also disappointed that more terminator fans didn’t expect more from this show. I’m a big fan of the movies, but found this series disappointing. I think it will be cancelled because it never became the action-filled series it had the potential to be. Instead, it’s more drama and less action. For any terminator fan, that’s disappointing.
Chris, from a character perspective I think that John/Cameron connection is pretty valid, and without knowing it you tie right into the CW angle…
Again, the Kyle-is-Dad thing is just a predestination paradox. But so is Sknet sending back the machines and Dyson using the T101’s own technology to create Skynet.
What I’m getting at is that SkyNet sending back the T1001 (CW) for the purpose of “playing” with John Henry to develop skynet makes no sense. Another “race” of machines who are opposed to SkyNet does make sense…and wanting to learn about and understand humanity, to understand EXISTENCE and how to coexist with humans does make sense.
Remember, this is a show of parallels and characters studies. And without knowing much about the upcoming T4/T5/T6 trilogy I have heard that a big part of it involves the relationship between man and machine, and even the melding of both.
Time will tell (I couldn’t resist).
.
I’M DONE!!! Never missed an episode since day 1. The show really got good when Derek arrived. Excellent link between present and future. Now that Derek’s gone, forget season 3. Even if it come’s back which is doubtful, I’ve had it. At least I don’t have to worry anymore if there will be a season 3!!
@okay–this is assuming the show is indeed not coming back.
of course i’m gonna blame fox’s greed.why in the world would i blame josh or any of the shows creators?they arent the ones who cancelled the show.
fix the “problems” in season 2? what problems? as a fan of the show i see nothing but a season of great episodes, and very much look foward to more of the same.
are the problems you see there merely because thats not the way YOU would have ran the show?
@Jman: I agree 100% about Derek’s death scene being brilliant writing, and brilliant direction on Josh’s part. Yes, I will miss him–he was a great character (and a great actor)–and probably John’s last hope of ever having a father figure to look up to before going off to lead the future of mankind. Derek’s death was fitting, in a way… he lived most of his life as a soldier fighting killer robots for John Connor. And he died exactly how he would have died in the future: quickly, without fanfare, from a machine that placed no significance in his life. The fact that the storyline kept rolling really put that into perspective a LOT more than if they’d made a scene out of it. The fact that in that one moment, Derek was so many things to us and to the other characters on the show, and yet was nothing to the Terminator but in the way. His was the first death in the series where the person’s whole life flashed before my eyes when I realized what happened. Really makes you stop and think. And that’s one of the things I love about this show… unlike pretty much everything else on TV, it expects you to stop and think. And as much as I miss Cameron’s tight jacket and the Connor family being at home making pancakes, I THANK Josh for that.
I am amazed at the number of persons who are convinced that this show (or any other for that matter) should revolve around them and satisfy their expectations only…
NO!!! Not Derek!!! He was the closest thing to a Father that John has ever had. He was also an integral part of the core group (John, Sarah, Cameron, and Derek). They all contribute key parts to the whole. And about the way he died!!! Very anticlimatic and definitely didn’t do him justice, in my opinion. It wasn’t right. I, for one, am very disappointed.
On the other hand, maybe there was a good reason for Derek to die, but I still think they should have done it better. Like I said, that is just my opinion.
Chris, have you been watching the same show. Are you serious? A lot of people agree with me of the countless mistakes S2 turned into and that S1 was way better. If you rewatched S1 you can see where it was better. It’s sad that TSCC had to end in this fashion because of Josh’s failures. I had high hopes for S2 but it turned into disappointment. It was a few good episodes in S2 but that was it and I can name them all on one hand.
Now everyone’s gone, they are going to kiss before this season ends, right?
Okay — I would LOVE to hear your version of “what could have been” for TSCC season 2.
It seems that viewers like you never seemed to catch on to the point of this show. It is about people and real life…drawing parallels. I, for one, think the writers have made a valiant effort trying to make that concept palatable to an audience whose core seems to just want to see more machines fighting and more things blowing up.
Those who do “get it” have really enjoyed Josh’s (and his writers’) take on this complex and character driven story.
Kill Derek. What will you do next - coach the Denver Broncos? Write scripts for “Lost”?
If I count well Riley, Charlie and Derek make three deaths of loved ones and so Jesse is alive. She also never stopped loving Derek. I wonder what will come out of that?
Great episode! Derek’s death was perfect IMO. It reminded me a lot of Wash’s death in Serenity. Fast, brutal, and shocking.
The rest of the show was awesome, also. I can’t wait until next week! When it ended, I wanted MOAR!!!!
Now, Sarah is arrested?!? Everyone that is close to John is falling away one by one, and he is losing them so quickly and drastically. No wonder John is so close to Cameron. She seems to be all that he has left.
Fox, please, please, please, give us a season 3!!!!!!
Innocent, she’s starring in Melrose Place now, so I doubt we’ll see her again even if there is a Season 3.
About the SkyNet/weaver/other factions thing… I think it’s evolution. Remember, T100X’s are not just advanced Terminators, they are “cybernetic organisms.” They may have been created by SkyNet in the future with the intent of terminating its enemies…. but isn’t that exactly what the humans did when they created SkyNet? Who’s to say SkyNet didn’t create a new, higher level of evolution with the T100X series only to find that they could not all be controlled as intended?
What’s with all these biblical references anyway?
Machines caring about… the bible!!??!! why in the world would machines recite biblical verses to each other?? and talk in metaphors? and engage in all kinds of psuedo philosophical mumblings?
Why don’t you just do a show named “Televangilator” ?
Notty22… go … go jump… ah, never mind.
I saw Derek’s death written on the wall. Didn’t like how they just BAM! — DEAD! — move on… but I can see why they did it too.
He was cremated in an unmarked grave just like his brother.
I thought this was one of the best episodes all season. Yes, I said it. You heard it here!
If we had had that kind of writing and flow and synergy from S2, Ep2 on and then built and built and built upon it some more I’d have said we’d be on the air for years to come. But… now I worry. I don’t want to worry, but I do.
Mackenzie is such a little peach and a natural. If Weaver doesn’t gain a heart towards her “daughter” Savannah, I’ll take the bitch on myself and adopt her! LOL!
Garrett and Shirley are sublime. She really, really nailed it this episode… immaculate and wonderful work, and not a Mr. Burns impression in sight! LOL! Please tell her that if you see her. She should continue to act and broaden her horizons. She has a gift. You sure she hasn’t acted before?
Garrett, you’ve been around the barn, so I won’t heap big praise, though you deserve it… because you already have the touch. But to be equaled by a non-actor, that is saying a lot! Kudos upon Shirley for pulling off what some thought she could not.
Too bad as I fear we’re not seeing anymore of Weaver after this, and just as she was getting fascinating. Such has been the fate of too many characters this season! IMHO.
As for Cameron and John… great to see John stepping up as he should have been all season. Riiiiiilllleeeeeyyyyy! Why did you have to be introduced in the first place?? AAAARRRRGHHHH!!
For us Cameronites it was yet another fairly disappointing episode of a few lines, a couple of quick fights blips, and then…to the background she goes! Though, I liked just about everything else in this particular story.
And as for Donald…
Dude! I saw Mickey run off with them! Go get the bastard, run him down, and put the smack down on him, the trouser thief that he is!!
Loved the song at the end. Very sad (too much sadness! now I’m depressed!) way to end things. And yet… great to see Savannah and John Henry singing together.
Garrett has a lovely voice.
As for the finale… I have a bad feeling about this. I’m beginning to suspect why Summer had to physically force a smile at WonderCon.
I hope you guys aren’t toying with us fans…
This show is EXCELLENT!!!! The idea of this show was/is to tell the story of Sarah Conner and the start of the resistance. Josh has done an incredible job of portraying this. Major kudos to Josh and the writers who have done an outstanding job and kept me completely immensed in this show. This is the first show in a long time that has pulled me and made me WANT to tune in and make sure I never would miss an episode. This show is epic and should continue. Many people feel it won’t last, and for this reason, are afraid to get attached to it only to see it get cancelled. I mean, the last show I was addicted to was Buffy and I didn’t get immensed in that one until approximately the 5 season cause I didn’t think it would last. Please, Fox, again, keep this show going. You won’t regret it!!!!
i guess,as usual,it all comes down to personal taste.
while i’m not at the very top of the uber-fan heap or anything,i can say that i love the terminator movies.
and i love the terminator tv series.every single second of it.i feel that it’s such a great friggin thing to even have a terminator tv series in the first place that, regardless of how much i personally like or dislike this or that aspect of it,i just cant look at anything about it as a “mistake” or a “failure”.
i just want to know why YOUR tv show isnt drawing billions of viewers every week.
@Jack,
You are correct about the T-100x models. They are beyond the control of Skynet. They are superior beings in comparison. They are indeed living metal organisms.
I wouldn’t be surprised if the faction against evil Skynet and their own survival is made up primarily of liquids who are reprogramming robot Terminators to be their lackeys.
Ahh man, this ep was so great. I love where this leaves us too. With Sarah out of the picture (for now) John will be forced to grow up, even more than he already has. Just like anyone who gets separated from their parents. He has no one now but a machine, and his own thoughts. and now I can see why that Cameron/john scene comes in with the bed. it might just be a dream, but its still motivated by john feeling more alone.
I hope we’re left with Sarah in prison, so that in the event that we get a season 3, they can focus on john and Cameron, with an occasional scene with Sarah. maybe she tries to escape multiple times but fails. she gets told once again that she’s going crazy and the put her in a nut house, again. or maybe she accepts her fate and doesn’t fight it anymore, and recognizes john needs to be alone to do his thing.
Tonight’s ratings better be good. *shakes fists*
Christ O’Mighty! They killed off the best character! I missed most of the first season because I thought it was ho hum. I was wrong. It was different…something better than the usual bs TV has to offer. I watched what I missed on DVD and became a fan of the show. Then Derek came on in the second season and this show became a monster. I thought he was safe after last week, then bang! One bullet in the forehead and he’s gone! I kept hoping it was a glancing hit off the side of the skull but no, it had to be a bullseye! Please tell me they will skip to another timeline and bring him back. Maybe it was all an extended dream of Sarah’s. It went through my head that I was done watching the show if he got killed off. Now what?
the word that stuck out to me this episode was sacrifice. tech if john henry was the turk he should have known that word. it is a major part of chess. the turk played chess and chess is a game about war and strategy. something john conner should learn sacrifice. future john seems to know it
So, this is the paradox of the entire franchise….the “miracle” if you will. Obviously, John in 2035’s father was originally not Kyle Reese.
Of course Kyle Reese was always John’s father. That’s why they call it a paradox. (In the movie it was 2029, in the series it was 2027.)
I’m not going to assume next week is the end, I’ll wait to hear it from Fox.
Speaking of Summer not smiling much at WonderCon, lets not overlook that Shirley mentioned that if there were a Season 3 she expected to be part of it, and that it would involve a “total shift” of some kind. The actual quote is on the shirley-manson.org site somewhere….
I’m worried that the show will be cancelled, but my gut feeling is that it will be back at least for a limited run. I can’t see FOX passing up the potential spike in interest/viewship/ad revenue from the movie coming out.
Gotta be honest— I was expecting Derek to be the “big death” last week… not Charlie. But after Derek escaped unscaved I figured he was safe— at least for the rest of the season. Wow. I just thought he was on his way to meet up with Sarah and John and to kick some T-888 ass. But just… gets shot in the hallway. “Keep moving,” as Sarah said… and the show did. Suspenseful, definitely. The whole thing with Det. Cedar thinking Ellison had a hand in Savannah’s disapperance made ABSOLUTELY no sense to me whatsoever. He linked Derek’s murder of Andy Goode and Ellison’s interrogation of Derek— to Ellison trying to cause harm to Catherine Weaver’s “daughter.” Where’s the connection here? Does ANYONE see it? Also still don’t quite understand what’s going on with Weaver and Ellison in relation to John Henry’s “brother.” And why the hell does this water delivery guy want Savannah so much?
Good point, gunn. But , what we consider sacrifice in a game of chess (or life) is simply a logical move to a machine. The only reason it is sacrifice to us is that life is “sacred”…a common root shared in our language as CW pointed out.
Am I the only one that saw the machine that killed Derek, standing in the crowd as they arrested Sarah? The transmitter that was in Sarah, isn’t the only one implanted is my best guess!
The Liquid Metal in the future told Cameron, the answer was NO, but do we know what the question was?
I will miss Derek, and I had hoped last week that Charlie was going to join the Connors.
Savannah isn’t a threat. Zeiracorp is a threat to “brother”. Kidnapping her was part of a mission by “brother” to get at John Henry and Weaver. Weaver must have an alternative mission for the machines.
I will miss Derek. That’s a lot of losses for John to absorb. I’m sure glad they have Cameron around. She’s awesome. SAVE SARAH, CAMERON. What is Ellison thinking? He’s like a toddler playing with guns. John needs to give him an education like he did to Jesse. Go John. You are becoming the man!
This is the most awesome show ever!!!!
Altering the past, even the slightest bit, does not change the future from which the alteration came, but rather sprouts a parallel future that co-exists with the previous one.
Derek is not dead. He continues to live on, arriving in the future to be with John Connor, fighting Skynet. However, he is dead in the parallel future. Any alteration in that future will spawn yet another parallel future, etc.
There could be a billion futures, a trillion; all parallel, existing at the same time, each believing itself to be the one and only reference point.
In our future or maybe a parallel one, T/SCC will have a third season; and a fourth and fifth, infinitely. Miles Bennett Dyson will see to it, as he always does.
I just can’t get over that Derek died! He was one of my favorites! WHY WHY WHY!!!! This is one of the BEST EPISODES though. RIP Derek! I bet he’ll get buried near Kyle or something.
@Jack- I agree with what you said about Derek’s death, about how he means so much to people, but to a terminator, he is nothing but someone who got in the way. BUT I really didnt like who killed him. It was a nameless terminator who came out of nowhere. Maybe giving Derek a non-glorious death was good writing, but I think it shouldve came from a more deserving character.
haha Seneca
i like your theory
i hope we’re in that parallel universe where there’s many ore season to come!
I <3 TSCC
15 minutes to go! great episode so far!
perfect way to kill derek (although i’m sad to see him go, hopefully there’ll be plenty of future episodes in the THIRD season that feature him)…
i can’t wait for sarah to meet weaver!
oh, and best line “you can’t, you’re not a boy and you can’t sing!!”
Ok, if the series ends at the end of this series, no problem. But, if not, how do you go about incorporating a person (Sarah) who will receive significant press coverage who was supposed to have died in an explosion in a bank.
The public at large would have to be exposed to all the Terminator/Skynet information, which I don’t think would work.
The more interesting thing is I wonder if John Henry is built by a faction of the machines which want peace with the humans. That would seem to make sense. They are trying to create a less hostile Skynet.
That would explain the brother, the liquid terminator from the submarine, and Weaver’s comments in the elevator.
I’d love it if Shirley continued on as Weaver!! Screaming: I’D LOVE IT!!!! YOU HEAR ME JOSH!!!??? LOL!
And Garret as John Henry.
I’m mixed about Ellison. He’s so passive. Great security chief he turned out to be! I like Richard Jones. I just wish they’d put some pizazz in his character, some starch in his shirt.
I agree that they should move Sarah into the more observer, backdrop role and let John and Cameron take center stage since they’re the ones who must grow and evolve to be all they can be. Cut the apron strings, once and for all.
I say: the heroes they need to become.
That doesn’t mean they shouldn’t work together sometimes as they all need help. They can’t do it alone. No one can with this kind of struggle.
Bring back Morris and Lauren and her little sister, and let them be supporting side characters. Resistance fighters in the present. They could use the help, and they were the most interesting sub-characters of all the ones that have come and gone on this show.
Morris tries one last attempt at Cameron (something about the prom and not being able to go with her… as a not so subtle try for her), she snubs him (maybe with a crack aimed at Morris that she has a gun and she’ll use it on him if he tries anything “funny”)… and then he takes a look at Lauren (who they’ve run into as well), and it’s thunderbolt city.
The two couples of John/Cameron and Morris/Lauren take to the road and adventure and action and thrills happen along the way.
John and Cameron are the team leaders and Morris and Lauren are like “The Lone Gunmen” support squad. Sure they’re young, but that shouldn’t matter. They have a job to do, and they must be adults… now!… as circumstances dictate it.
Change up the scenery: mountains, rivers, forests… international travel. Change up the locations and broaden the settings and backdrops. Tie the stories back into the “Future that was.”
Snappier, funnier dialog… intrigue, spying, espionage, gadgets (John and Morris seem to have a talent for that sort of thing… mechanically inclined)… with Cameron using more of her mad infiltrator skills, we hardly got to see, used to their fullest as they continue their fight against:
John Henry’s evil brother and the Kaliba Group!
Under the control of… Julie Anne Emery! Dum dum duuuuuuuuuum! She was perfect in “Some Must Watch…”!!!
I still think Robert Patrick needs to find his way in somehow… as either a human or another T-1001 working with Kaliba or as a rogue agent who shifts loyalties when the mood strikes. You could then see how he is used as a template for the T-1000 in T2. Blend the stories together, basically.
Man, there are sooooo many exciting possibilities for Season 3… I’m jumping up and down as I type!!
We’ve only just begun! I think there’s a song in there somewhere!
As Patrick Stewart’s Captain Jean-Luc Picard commands: Make it so!
@Seneca: The Derek we knew never did “arrive” in the future from this timeline. Remember he took John to the park and we saw Little Derek and Little Kyle? They’re still kids in 2009, but will grow up to be the Derek we know and will get sent back in time. None of the humans who have time-traveled have ever said anything about knowingly meeting someone who had traveled back in time… if in the future they never saw the “version” of themselves or anyone else who had traveled back through time, I’m guessing they all accepted that after they travel back, they’re probably not going to live until 2027 or whenever it is that they were fighting in John’s camp.
The more current version of quantum theory suggests as soon as one timeline is “observed” all other parallel timelines cease. There are infinite paths, but there is only one “reality”. This still doesn’t explain the paradoxes, but I think it is safe to say Miles Dyson is deader than a doornail.
I CANNOT BELIEVE THEY KILLED OFF BRIAN AUSTIN GREEN!!!!!!!! Was he too expensive for Fox to afford his paycheck? I guess we can thank the extra judge on American Idol for this disaster! This show is amazing, but I’m worried that it has no future without Brian Austin Green. So sad.
Still tripping bout Derek, how fast it happened. It was very real feeling, you knew he was done in that instant. Big character to lose, going to miss him. Hope he gets a chance to put a word or two in here like Leven did, so we can give him thanks and a proper send off. If we get season 3 maybe he can guest in a few future scenes.
I like how he died. It fits with his remark that “A lot can happen in four seconds.”
TSCC will probably get dropped just like Jericho did because there is little income from the commercials, to pad the networks’ bloated wallets, because the show is so good that it is painful for us to take the time to watch all the commercials while waiting to see what happens next. What the stupid networks don’t realize is that shows like this one bring more viewers to their channel. I’ve been tempted to check out Doll House even. I haven’t watched ANYTHING on CBS since they dropped Jericho.
I stopped the commercials once though - to watch the trailer for T4 - Salvation. Holy crap! Why had I never heard of that before now?
I would have never started watching a medical show (House) if it were not for 24. I never watch the commercials in 24. Go ahead Fox, drop 24 as well.
Before long, we are all going to be watching open-source shows on the internet - youtube, youporn, etc.. Screw the networks and their selfishness. That’s where Robot Chicken, South Park, and several other low budget shows have come from - out of motivation to do something fun that will make someone else laugh, and not out of motivation for money. Philanthropy is good business… take note Fox, CBS, et al.
Wow…Anticipating Derek scenes was my only reason left to watch this show so…I guess I’ll catch the finale at some point. Shame.
Peaceful cyborgs? Nah…they got somethin’ up their sleeves.
Once again..bring BAG BACK!
Great episode tonight. Kudos to all involved. Amazing work by Toni G and staff. That was really awesome.
Next week looks incredible!
Hadley, if you can convince Brian to leave a short entry here like Leven did, I know all the fans would love to show their appreciation for what he brought to the show. If he has time, of course. It was hard to see Derek go. Brian was just great in role, right from the beginning.
That sure was a good one. Wow.
Holy effing hell. I have no words atm. Holy crap.
Wow, what a great episode! I was on the edge of my seat most of the time!
KUDOS to Josh and his team!
Man, if Ellison is too stupid to figure out that Weaver is a machine after their little chat in the elevator… let Cameron squeeze is neck!!!
John face when Savannah spoke about his friend JH was priceless. Hope we will see the light and don’t provoke Weaver by threatening JH. It could become really nasty if not…
Damn, I would like to fast forward to next week!!!!
I love this show! I am pissed about Derek though. I feel like he was the connection between John and his father. My favorite scene was on johns birthday when they went to the park. I hope this is some kind of dream. I couldn’t stop saying WTF from the moment he got shot. I am addicted to this show haven’t missed an episode yet, so please keep them coming. I can’t wait for next week.
Too bad the season finale couldn’t have been a two hour block on Sunday.
And why are we JUST seeing T4 commercials tied in with this show? Was WB and Halcyon sucking their thumbs all this time??
This could have helped us a loooooong time ago!
I’d I agree with everyone that John’s little talk with Savannah and what she reveals and his reaction to it… PRICELESS!
Johnnyboy! Glad to see you back!
this episode (although sad) was one of the greatest in the series.
you see , episodes like this bring people to the show .
its amazing. very intense, lots of good scenes.
i can’t wait to see the finale..
keep it up
@waz…
I concur.
This episode was simply mind blowing, awesome job! You guys have definitely pulled out all the stops for these last episodes. There is no way that we don’t get a third season.
This is the only show on FOX I ever watch…
Going to hate to see it go.
Fox must be hiring from the same pool of idiots as SciFi
According to this link, the show is done and the sets are gone… history.
Oh well it was fun while it lasted… moving it to Fridays was the kiss of death.
http://www.fmqinc.com/terminator-cancelled/
WOW….. I am still taking all of that in. That was like a blockbuster movie jammed into a 45 minute segment. I am upset about Derek; what a great character. It was so sudden, so abrupt, and completely without warning as well. I am stunned. This was by far the most intense hour of TV I have watched for a long time.
With episodes that good, if there is not a season 3 the fans might very well protest outside of Fox studio. Hopefully with Terminator Salvation next month, they will be convinced enough to give the go for season 3. Hopefully the movie will gain many more potential viewers. After all, the quality of this show is on par with the quality of a Blockbuster movie and that is saying something.
Brilliant. The death of Derek was such a shocker and just pulled of brilliantly. Like nothing I’ve seen before. A main character that is killed in one second… no slow-mo with a look that tells you “Hey this is my big scene where I die” Nope… he’s there and then *blam* he’s not. Doesn’t give you time to wonder and also happened right in the beginning of the episode so it was even more unexpected. An inglorious death, but one that felt real and had much more of an impact than a drawn out battle when he goes out fighting. No, this was perfect. He will be missed, but John must become the man now.
Similarly, with Charlie’s death in the last episode. Not seeing him get shot and then just seeing him floating in the water with 3 bullets in his chest. Again an inglorious death, but because of how it was done… much more powerful.
And at the revelation that Weaver just might be doing all this to preserve humanity. I had a strong feeling that was the case, but to hear her say it still gave me chills. Now to find out if she is here on her own accord or if she is actually working with future John Conner.
Oh how I wish we got a 2 hour season finale… followed by a Season 3 and 4 and 5 and so on.
This show has brilliant writing, direction, acting, effects and I really want them to come back in the Fall. This really is the best show on TV.
I know, I wish the last two would have been a two-hour finale tonight. One hour was much too short. But we have another week of anticipation!
Great show.
Brain Austin Green is going to a new show on the CW called Body Politic. He must know that the Terminator is going to get cancelled. To bad it is a great show and Derek was a good guy and character.
Josh and the writers: I want to curse you!!! Sort of…
That is so cruel: you killed uncle Derek with one bullet, BANG! Then Sarah came back to the scene: “Move along, there’s nothing to see, move along!” No time for grief… No, there is too much things going on, there is no time to stop and cry our fallen soldier!
Great job! The Connors had a taste of future war against Skynet tonight!
RIP Derek. Thanks BAG, you did an awesome job by giving life to Derek Reese!
@Gary,
I hope I don’t give you any further heart attacks by stating point blank that I mostly really enjoyed this episode (more Cameron and it would have been practically perfect) and hope that is the start of some really serious sh#t going down for Season 3.
I’ll get the defibrillator, buddy! Don’t worry!! LOL!
Totally the best episode EVER! I can’t believe Derek is dead…but, “they all die for John!” In order for the story to continue (it must!) I believe this had to happen.
I was on the edge of my seat the whole freaking time! Savannah was amazing….I was glad to see more of her. I don’t like what CW said about sacrificing Savannah! Thought it was hilarious Savannah told her she couldn’t sing!
I agree with all of you who said Johns expressions were priceless when Savannah told him about JH!
Total crap. Derek was one the most interesting subplots. I am way less enthused about the show now.
Awesome, awesome, awesome episode!!
I was expecting Derek to die but I wasn’t expecting him to die tonight!
Well done!! You surprised me again!
Let the wind blow high, let the wind blow low, where’s my ashtray, I don’t know(oops) Donald wheres my trousers? Damn them, I’m gonna be singing that all week.
The ending was really powerful, John watching his mommie, and I almost cried when they buried Derek’s box. Derek was killed so abruptly, it killed me, but I guess that’s how it happens.
Yay the priest is back!
I’m Lovin:
The religous stuff, looks like there more next week.
Little Savanna scenes.
Weaver was so beyond in this ep.
Cam twitchting her head when she woke up.
When John found out Savanna’s friend John Henry had a cord behind his neck.
Cam bossing around Ellison.
Interesting with JH and his brother, will he too die defeating the machine?
“I only wanna kill him.”
“They only attack when provoked, they eat other eels,” reference to weaver?
Thought Sarah would get shot down, cmom you attack the police and they dont shoot you? She’ll be alright, shes gonna meet Weaver, yes, cant wait.
Fascinating ep, they’re killin me. I cant wait, please be a SEASON 3 .
I will not, will not watch any more previews, its so much better that way.
I’m not that surprised, Dan, it was a great episode. I’d be very surprised if you didn’t like it. There were some fantastic scenes.
If viewers are not enjoying an episode like this, I just don’t know what to say. Really good work by everyone. I loved that scene, John with Savannah. But there were so many other good ones also.
Derek’s death was fast, but they still did show the impact on the characters a little later. Which made us viewers reflect more too. It was really well done.
This cast is just amazing. So is the film crew. Great work!
Another fantastic episode. But I can’t talk about it now because its clear to me that Josh and the writers are moving heaven and earth to bring the series to a full and logical conclusion.
Next week Sarah will have to be freed from jail before Skynet can get its hands on her. Since Sarah knows too much, Weaver will have to lead the effort. Hopefully, she feeds that police detective to the eel and then takes his place. Sarah and Weaver will then have a talk. I think they will talk about how things must go from here and also about what it means to be a mother.
While Sarah and Weaver are talking, Ellison will take John and Cameron to have a talk with JH. JH and Cameron will have a data exchange and will realize that they are male/female versions of the same system. JH and JC will realize that in a strange way thay are man and machine versions of each other. They will see that they need and can trust each other and will form an alliance.
In order to enable Sarah and John to go into hiding from Skynet and remain unmolested until Sarah dies, JH will pinpoint where in Skynet’s memory core information pertaining to Sarah & Co during the time frame covered by the series resides. Cameron will undertake a kamikazi mission against Skynet’s main memory. She will succeed and Skynet will retain no memory of John or Sarah or Cameron or JH, Weaver, Savannah, etc over the past two years. JH will be able to monitor her progress and physical condition and I’m afraid that by the end she will be too damaged to escape. To prevent her from falling into Skynet’s hands with her chip intact, JC will trigger the bomb in her head. Her death will cement the agreement between JH and JC. The scene itself will be more moving than Uncle Bob’s termination in T2. JH will tell JC to contact him in the future through the computer system at Serrano Point.
ZieraCorp will also be destroyed. This may actually be an arrangement between Sarah and Weaver. Weaver, Sarah and John will be believed to have been killed in the attack. Skynet will believe that JH was also destroyed by the attack. The T1000 will take JH and reestablish him elsewheres (perhaps at Serrano Point), but as the identity of Weaver will be history, the T1000 will become the executive she portrayed in S2.02. There with be a will that appoints Ellison as Savannah’s legal guardian. Ellison will have the child his wife didn’t wanted to have.
The ep will end with Sarah and John back on the run driving through the night. We will be in the time just before a T3 type story. Judgement Day is still to come. As the headlights play over the road, Sarah will speak her final words of wisdom. The rest would be silence save for the fans’ weeping.
Brian Austin Green was one the greatest actors on this show! I’ll miss him a lot! Hope they bring him back in flashbacks (Jessy’s flashbacks, for example). They brought Garret back after he said “Bye” in the chat, they may bring Brian Austin Green back too!
And I ignore those who say that show is cancelled. There are always strange people around who want others to believe they know more. Ignore them!
Btw, I understand why John hides from people in the future. I would not stand the load. I would break. How can he keep that much on his shoulders?
ReCaptcha: “adoption 880″ (why not 888?)
Jack,
Great point. It’s a good thing Kyle didn’t hit John in the head with a batted ball and kill him.
Jman,
Couldn’t Skynet send someone back to take that bomb trigger out of Dyson’s hand before he blew himself up?
Now I will never get my wish, my one big wish; to see Derek bust a cap in Jesse’s _ss!
Donald catches up with Mickey in a blind alley.
Mickey Mouse [with a maniacal glint, raising his submachine gun, and with that famous high pitched voice beloved by children far and wide]: Come and get your trousers, MOTHERF–KER!!!! [and squeaks] Ha hahaaha ha haahaha!
It looks to be the end for our fearless duck, when all of a sudden Pluto lands on Mickey from a second story window, and wraps around his head, growling and snapping, as Mickey fights him off. The machine gun fires wildly every which way… bullets whiz by and ricochet off the buildings, and shatter windows.
Donald “ducks” for cover and pulls his Glock 9mm from under his Naval Vice Admiral shirt, and breathing hard, whips out from behind a metal garbage bin.
Donald [hoping up and down and spitting mad, and cocking his seaman's hat towards the front of his head; you can hardly understand him, of course]: This one’s for Walt, you big eared son of a bitch! And fires…
Does Donald finally get his beloved trousers? Does The Mouse get his? Does Pluto live to lift his leg on another fire hydrant? Does Daisy get her man back?
Tune in next week for another thrilling installment of:
“DONALD, WHERE’S YOUR TROUSERS??!!!: MIAMI VICE SQUAD”
What do you know Dmitry? I know networks cancels good shows all the time, witness Life On Mars! This show gets worse rating than that one did. So it is more than likely gone with only 3 million watching every week! That I know!
I loved how you didn’t give Derek’s death a cheesy “dear sister” moment. It reminded us that death is real and imminent and not some romantic tragic moment that happens to people.
Excellent episode was excellent.
John Henry + Savannah were excellent.
My 2 cents about Derek: It was quick at first, but then I thought that it’s just keeping with the idea that everyone would die for John (Derek in the Marty Bedell episode, Derek at the start of this one) and JC just has to get used to it. Noted that Cameron said something along these lines to JC in this episode too.
BTW was there different lighting in this episode? Brighter, like season 1?
*Blinks*
*Blinks again*
*Points at TV still speechless*
*Finds voice*
OH MY GOD!!!!!
That was…I’m speechless.
I love when Toni writes the episodes…because wow. I’m speechless. I think I already said that but wow!!!
I don’t know where to begin.
I had a bad feeling when we saw where Kyle’s grave was but…
I am just so shocked that Derek was killed like that. I kind of thought they might kill him off but not like that and so fast!! I was not expecting that. I thought he was hit in the chest and had body armor on not like that!!! At least his younger self lives. But I like how it was done. So unexpected.
I will miss him. He and Cameron were just starting to get alone. Can’t we grab some Derek from the future?!?!? There has got to be a twist there.
FYI to those taking about commercials tonight’s ep was present by Direct TV. Just like last weeks.
Cameron finally gets into a nice metal on metal fight…love the sound effects on bullets hitting metal.
The John and Cameron moment…short but wonderful. John apologizing to her and Cameron telling him the truth. I love those two together.
And how she holds John back from Ellison at the end. I really want to see John and Cameron work togther some more.
There was just so much going on.
Sarah still not truing Cameron even if she saved Sarah.
JH knowing about Cameron. And only because she was fighting…not because of her eyes.
Weaver checking in on JH and Savannah at the end with that song…wonderful.
Ellison is going to learn not to tick off Cameron. I loved there scene’s together.
John realizing he needs to trust Cameron because she should have killed Ellison.
Also Cameron’s comment that she never killed anyone just for killing. Again we have a changed terminator.
And if the T4- T6 are more about human and metal working together I’m all for it. That’s what I love about TSCC that John and Cameron are working together and there growing relationship.
When Cameron said future John lost people as well…does she mean he’s gone thrugh the same things…or does she mean future John lost Cameron because she went to the past?:
John and Savannah were cute together. I like the stuffed animal she has. Remidns me of that picture TD posted a while back.
LOL saying that Weaver couldn’t sing…lol!!!
I love seeing how all the eps are slowly connecting.
And just the possibilities and all these play on words are amazing.
Does JH still have more then one chip?
Weaver being on the side of good!
I love that when Sarah was taken down…she went out fighting. Looks like the ‘kids’ are on there own.
And I smiled that John and Cameron went to the movies…sort of.
So for the last ep…time travel anyone? I mean with Derek dead, Sarah in jail…kind of hard to fight skynet.
And Weaver wanting to meet John!!!!
Next weeks…first off I like that they said ‘season‘…better then the other word, that TSCC gets a T4 promo next week. About time. Maybe T4 can air a TSCC promo.
After seeing this ep this it shows me that TSCC deserves a season 3…because its back!!!
But dear god let us get a season 3!!!
Wow!!
Bravo Toni G. Bravo. You never let me down. Amazingly written episode. Derek’s death was so unexpected, and yet so poetic. I loved it, even though it was sad to see him die.
BAG, you my friend are the man. Seriously, changing your image from 90210 guy to bad-a future freedom fighter. Thanks for the great moments. As to posters arguing over “time travel theory”. Give me a flippin break! This is a sci-fi series. It’s such a joke to see people argue over whether something on terminator is plausible and cite “time travel theory” give me a break. LOVE the show! Keep it going Fox!
Almost forgot: Sarah’s end scene. OMFG that was… woah…. wtf…. wow. The last thing we see of her is getting beaten by the police officers…… that got to me.
One more thing, BAG you rocked as Derek, no doubt at all.
Oh and another “one more thing” to the writer and producer of this episode, job well done. Yes this show had an unfortunate run of ratings unfriendly episodes, but: F**K the ratings, this show is good.
@Jack: I got a chuckle when Savanah told her mom she couldn’t sing…stupid girl.
@Dan:
“Snappier, funnier dialog… intrigue, spying, espionage, gadgets (John and Morris seem to have a talent for that sort of thing… mechanically inclined)… with Cameron using more of her mad infiltrator skills, we hardly got to see, used to their fullest as they continue their fight against:”
Amen brother, That is a key element that anyone should have considered vital to the show considering the characters backgrounds and it’s been sorely missed this season. Also I’m with you on the lack of Cameron again. There is no way they can develope her character satisfactorily in one more ep. The complete lack of this characters progression is another fatal flaw of this season. After the “Demon Hand” they could have taken off with that.
@Okay:
I agree with you Josh did not bring his A game to S2. If this show is cancelled it will be his responsibility. Again, there needs to be balance for all of the fans and there was a distinct decision not to deliver for a large segment of the audience. This was a very good episode but this is where we should have been 3 or 4 episodes into the second half of the season. There is no way that Josh can pay off on what he himself called “the promise he made to the fans” in one more hour. There is no way I’ll miss the finale but I know I will go away disappointed in the end. I’ve invested too much time not to see it through but I still think a lot of viewers got sucker punched.
And finally, Killing Derek totally sucked. He was another great character who was brilliantly played who got far too little developement. There is so much they could have done with him.
Jared:
Many of us are science geeks and we like discussing wierd crap like time travel. String theory makes many things we thought were impossible plausible.
This show totally needs a season 3. Please, please, please, please, Fox pick up for another season!
I loved Season 1 (still do, in fact) but Season 2 has been kicking 1’s butt and this episode just set the bar even higher. The writing, the acting, the production values have just all been top-notch. Kudos to Mackenze Smith and her utterly winning portrayal of Savannah.
This show needs a season 3.
A very good episode–better than last week but not as good as two weeks ago.
And Cameron remained, beautifully, Cameron.
I was a little shocked at the seemingly offhanded way in which Derek was killed, too–but I suspect that was the point. In real life, people don’t get slow-motion and surges of music when they die.
And I suspect we’ll see at least a little bit more of him in flashbacks, or flash-forwards or whatever you want to call them.
I kind of saw a parallel between the Connors and the Weavers.
The Weavers have taken in humans. The Connors have taken in a cyborg. If a human like Savannah and metal like JH get along so well its just like John and Cameron (only they are a little more close). And maybe one day it will lead to Jameron. The ultimate human and cyborg force.
And here is the Direct TV comment page:

They presented tonights ep so drop them a thank you note. It can’t hurt.
Come on Season 3!!!
This was one of the best episodes of TSCC. Everything was perfect. I love how the two worlds collide. Every moment in this episode was astonishing.
Will there be no season 3?
I don’t see why they would cancel this show! This show has actual meaning.
The actors and actresses are brilliant. Plus every episode stands on its own. I never liked Sci-fi movies or shows but I LOVE TSCC even if i had not watch the original terminator movies.
How do you not hear a heavy ass terminator coming?
How do you not hear two 2 yes 2 terminators fighting?
What kind of crap programming does Cameron have, she fights like a girl.
Hey lets go sit in a movie theater with leather jackets and hope that means we know how to avoid an ambush.
I need someone to check my programming because I really shouldn’t still be watching this show.
I feel sick, I should return to my rack.
You know an action sci fi series is crap when the best part of the show is some 7 year old bumpkin singin songs and talking about tying her shoe.
Another classic! Whores are we all, because I’m still gonna be sittin down next Friday ready for the next chapter.
I feel sick, I should return to my rack.
CAMERON STOMPS!!!!!!
YOU! CAN! HEAR! THEM! COMING!!!!
I feel sick, I should return to my rack..
Going to be interesting next week, I hope that they keep they get season 3. I’m guessing that its going to be a cliff hanger and with no season 3 we could only speculate. Didn’t see Derek dying the way he did.
I thought it was cool that John Henry and Savanah were singing, and that JH really cares for Savanah. I knew it was an old Irish folk song just by listening to the lyrics when they were singing. Can’t wait to see what happens next week. I wonder if Cameron is going to kill Ellison though I would hate to see that, since I like him. Really going to be interesting when Weaver meets John will she kill him. I still can’t figure out what she is doing, seeing as JH isn’t Skynet.
Kea:
With Sarah on ice for a while JC and Cam can get some time alone for a change. If I were him I wouldn’t be to quick to talk Cameron into breaking Sarah out of jail.
It’s too bad that it’s whacked out, metal hating Sarah (who learned to love Arnold… go figure) who talks to Weaver. Could it be that Sarah betrays John somehow this way, not even knowing it?
Weaver and John Henry need to talk to John himself. And see what he’s really made of. She never got to meet with him after the sub incident. Now’s her chance, now’s JH’s chance while he’s still in a more open minded stage to meet eye-ball to eye-ball John Connor.
Maybe he wouldn’t disappoint her as Jesse and the other mutineers did.
It just seems to me to be so darn cliche for Cameron to be the betrayer rather than the leaver.
Remember the saying? Humans</i? will disappoint you.
And it was Cameron who made most of the logical choices this season irrespective of the fact that she was rarely utilized to her fullest, and no body bothered to listen to her either. Grumble grumble.
Can’t change it now. Biting my fingernails (what I have left, anyway! LOL!).
Snake,
I was hoping Cameron would just reach over and crush Ellison’s throat, right in the car. But, she did kick some major machine-butt, and that sort of made up for it.
soooo sad about Derek. !!! Great episode: writing/acting/everything….except that it was too short and we have to wait a week for the next one! I just don’t see how they can cover all of the questions that I have in one hour….
boo.
not really interested in watching the show anymore.
@Kea: I sent “thanks” to DirectTV.
Guys, shouldn’t we start some campaign about season 3? How can we do it?
Yeah Seneca, I’m starting to think so too. I liked Ellisons character but how can he be so damn stupid. When CW showed virtually no concern for her daughter he should have known something was up at that point for sure not to mention all of the other clues an “investigator” should have picked up on. I think you’re right. It’s about time Cameron wrung his neck.
Great episode, but you took out Derick like he was some noob. Not even a fight, it makes for great TV but since he was credited on the show I figured he had a little left in him for more seasons. Brian Austin Greene will be missed.
Wow! Some major glitching in the post formatting above just occurred. Weird.
Skynet is lurking!
And is it just me or will we find out about Derek and the basement for about 2 minutes time tops in the very last scene of the finale?
It’s like the late local news where they say there is some breaking news about something that will most definitely kill you, and what you need to know to save yourselves…
After three or four breaks!
The hook and they just tease you with that juicy morsel. Man, are we suckers! LOL!
Ellison was stupid from the beginning. Remember how he talked to Charlie in the first episodes. Could someone smart talk like that? He thinks he is clever but he is not.
@Donavan
“How do you not hear a heavy ass terminator coming?”
“How do you not hear two 2 yes 2 terminators fighting?”
I also thought some sound effects were missing during the fighting. I have also thought there has been a general drop off of the action sounds probably since the return from winter break. I have a fairly serious sound system and during the first season and part of the second the action scenes would actually get alarming at times. I even told friends that Fox has got a really good sound guy and they did not want to let this guy get away. It’s seems to have lost some impact, or I lost some hearing. Anyone else notice this or feel the same? I mean this as a serious question and am not crapping on the show, please don’t take it that way.
I freaked when Derek got it. It like really fuzzed me up for a bit, took me out of the story. Then after I got going again I was okay. Toward the end I accepted it, and I felt, (even as Sarah was being hauled away) if only John and Cameron make it out, I can live with that.
I won’t handle it well if something happens to Cameron though; not well at all.
As has been stated by other posters, Derek was and always has been an expendable character. Obviously, both the writers and the viewers developed an emotional rapport with him, and that’s why he outlived the few episodes he was originally intended to play a part of when he was introduced.
But he was not part of the show dynamics, he was a distraction indeed, as has been pointed out already. And it is a testimony to the people behind the show that they went the hard way and killed him, instead of keeping him just to please some demographics ratio. And the way he died… Just like that. No epic death, no fanfare, just the way people die, more so in his line of work. Again, the people behind this show are bold and true to their goal, true to the essence of the story they are telling.
To those nitpicking here and there, moaning and bitching for the lack of action, the deliberate pace or the ‘waste’ of Cameron’s on-screen time… Those who think Derek’s death was ’stupid’ or ‘worse’ than Charlie’s… To all those that belittle Josh Friedman intelligence and talent… Well, they must be watching a different show than the one I am watching.
Were there some episodes weaker than others? Of course, that is the nature of any serialized fiction. Were there some unnecessary detours? Maybe, but that’s just a matter of opinion. Was the 1st season better than this one? Again, that’s up to your particular tastes, but if you ask me… No, not at all. This show has been getting better and better with every new episode.
Me, I’m just glad to have Friedman at the helm, giving us this wonderful, WONDERFUL show, this intense tale of desperate, flawed people looking for some hope, instead of a poor man’s mimicry of the TERMINATOR feature films.
God, how much I am going to miss this show if we don’t get a 3rd Season.
In any case, and if you are reading this… To Josh and all the crew, both behind and in front of the cameras… a big, BIG THANK YOU for such a wonderful job.
@ Dmitry nice!!! Yes Direct TV just started being a presenter for TSCC. Last week they had a commercial and this week it stated it near the bottom where the FOX logo is.
If your interested I posted a whole list of advertisers and there contact info (I’m adding new ones from tonight’s ep) Hope this helps.
http://terminatorwiki.fox.com/thread/2609982/TSCC+advertisers+contact+information
LOL Snake I think you mean when Sarah’s away the ‘kids’ can play. I do want to see more John and Cameron working together. And look Cameron has been right all season…its just no one listens to her and they should.
Dan you bring up a good point. I mean Sarah is still anti-metal. Even if Cameron has saved Sarah and them a number of times. If she does talk to Weaver without John there and is so anti…it’s a probably not good. Could also be a little of what Cameron hinted at…that Sarah has lost weight. But she could be sick and not taking care of herself like she did after Mexico.
I see Cameron as the one leavening. Maybe if John does take out Cameron’s kill switch (And I don’t think John was wearing his necklace today) and she tells him deep down she still wants to kill him so she might leave.
OR John leaves them. Either by running off or he gets stuck in a time machine and pops forward.
But if we get a season 3 how does one everything we just saw? Time travel? Lying low? Maybe destroying all the computer records that they every exited. There better be a season 3!!!
Is it me or did Cameron kind of twitch going back online. So it was different then last weeks. See she was playing dead last week. Hmm she’s been going off line a lot lately.
I loved when Cameron tossed the metal down the hill. She looked happy about don’t that.
And can I just say this Cameron had on some nice boots and a cool belt. What one notices accessories.
As for Derek this is going to be really out there but…was it really Derek? I only ask because I used to watch Alias S1-S4 (I refuse to touch S5) and sometimes when a person was suppose to be dead well not so much. Plus you have the time travel factor so a Derek from another time could pop on in.
We just better get a season 3…somewhere.
@Dan,
“And is it just me or will we find out about Derek and the basement for about 2 minutes time tops in the very last scene of the finale?”
I hope we get that, thinking we might be stuck with Cam telling Derek in the last ep that he had given up Johns location before. Hadley mentioned Josh told him to tip us that was what happened, that is if I understood it correctly.
Well…Toni done good. (Not that I expected any less.)
There are some major (and we’re talkin’ MAJOR) trust issues going around, aren’t there? Most of them pointing straight at Ellison. With Cameron already telling him that she should have killed him, and now John going all meshugana…well, let’s just say that that’s a double barrel of potential homicide I wouldn’t want to be staring down.
But Savannah. More important than many thought…perhaps?
But I talked about the episode and wrote about it, too (as usual). Feel free to check them out:

Roy,
They should find a spot for you and Pris in this series.
O MY GOD, O MY GOD
the back nine is amazing! congratulations for your work
best show on tv PERIOD
WE NEED SEASON 3 SOO BAD
please guys make it happen, we can do it
WRITE TO FOX AND WB !!!!!!!
Edited to say: Anyone else waiting for Savannah to ask if she can have a puppy dog now instead of an eel!! LOL!!!
@Dan,
“And is it just me or will we find out about Derek and the basement for about 2 minutes time tops in the very last scene of the finale?”
Unless Weaver was in the basement as well. And Weaver might know Cameron. That might also be a secret Cameron keeps from John. That she might know Weaver only under a different name.
I just hate that we don’t know for sure if we will get a season 3 or not. The waiting is going to kill me. That or the next ep…not sure which.
I guess as long as we secure that season 3, I’ll be ok. I can live off my DVD’s and fan fics until then.
But TSCC is great. I love a show that makes you think and want to talk about it. Haven’t had a show like this in a long time. Hats off to the cast and crew once again.
Come on season 3!!! Please!!!
Josh and company,
Thanks for a great episode!
Excellent episode! It certainly seems possible that Derek could be brought back. He was sent back from the future once so it might happen again. Then again…if he was killed in the present does that mean he ceases to exist in the future? Mind bending stuff! One fascinating aspect of this show is how it shows John becoming so close to Cameron in spite of her not being human. Given what he has been through it’s all so believeable that would happen!
As for next week. I expect we will see John and Cameron kick some butt when they try to break Sarah out of jail. Should be fun to watch!
Is there any serious reason to believe there won’t be a season 3?
Seneca wrote:
‘Roy,

Maybe it’s my lack of fluency in English (my first language is Spanish), but I don’t know what you mean, Seneca… Who is Pris?
I just watched the 2×21 and I found it sad that Derrek died
I actually loved him cause he was a good actor and the way he did things. Also John Connor lost first Riley, his girlfriend and than Derrek “John’s best soldier” like Cameron said somewhere in Saison 1. I saw that the next title is “Season Finale - Born To Run”

I don’t know what is going to happen, but after Riley, Jessy, Charlie and Derrek, and Sarah in jail or somewhere, John and Cameron are the only 2 left of the crew against Skynet… Also we saw at the end that guy that wanted to “kill” Savannah, so I think he will be back in the next episode. Derrek was right, “We all die for you” when Derrek was riding and John was “crying”… I just hope TSCC become better and not an episode where they all die at the end…
And if the crew read this, tell them that I love them all
(Hmmmz trouble with posting through Firefox)
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Screw all of you. How dou you possibily killed Derek,,. WHY; WHY,…….. He was my favourite character. …. A character with too much potential to explore, ,………………………………….. I hate you.
That was one bad day for the Connor’s.
I’m pretty pissed about Derek. Excelent way to kill a character in a battle type scenario, but it was the wrong character. Brian Austin Green was excellent for his role, and I don’t care if they bring him back somehow or not… it’s ruined. The show is ruined. I’m a fan of well written “art”, but this is ridiculous. I think I’ll just stop watching the show and wait until I can just rent it all at once on netflix 1 year from now… when the show is cancelled (sadly).
Now my only hope for a good Terminator revival remains in the new movie…
Hope… seems like that’s what everyone is living on these days.
Holy crap!
I didn’t see that coming AT ALL! That’s what makes this show so awesome. I loved how it was completely contrary to Charlies death, who really was a minor character and got this glorious hero death.
Two things I hope for: 1.) Don’t do anything to Cameron in that last episode (The writers really are on a killing spree here)
2.) Give us a Season 3!
Roy,
I’m sorry. I thought you knew.
UGH I CANNOT BELIEVE DEREK DIED!!!!!!!!! He was my favorite character. That was so sad!!!! They should of @ least left him alive 4 a little bit so he could have said goodbye to John. Poor John!!!!
Dont get to carried away there was an article way back when ign interviewed josh. It was right before terminator came back on in feb and he said he didnt write it to end he said he wrote a kick ass finale so that it can jus build up on season 3. He also said at the wondercon that he hopes he gets a season 3. In my mind i had worries that it would get canceled but if fox watches this show i bet they want to know some answers to lol. But what a great episode i felt empty when derek died, this show is amazing!
Pris was the girlfriend of Roy Batty in the movie Bladerunner.
About the ep: Incredible… Just incredible. If all episodes were like this the series would explode! Loved, just loved the JH stuff. And BAG’s character death… I couldn’t believe it at first. Stunning! indeed it reminds one of Wash’s incredible death in Serenity. I will miss him though… He was great link to the future and would have loved to see what happened in the basement. Savannah was cute, and incredible with JH. Really liked the Cameron scenes, she was perfect with Ellison. And Weaver… I am leaning towards thinking that she does have a … somewhat good agenda, but is not afraid to kill for her goals. Interesting character… no great perfect character!!
Just one more episode left. Please give us a season 3!!!!!!! If the finale is better than this… bring it on!
season 3…. please.
BEST SHOW ON TV
please tell me that they are not thinking of cancelling this show????? I am tired of all my shows getting frick’en cancelled.
And derek dieing? SUCKED!! But it did make a person sit up and say “what the h*** just happened?”
I love this series…I can’t wait for the next episode…..
And I think weaver is figuring out some things…like his boss is a terminator…
Next weeks episode will be good…..
A couple things I thought about. In that picture here from another blog post you can see Sarah, John, and Ellison@ Zeira Corp. Also having seen the wondercon trailer looks like Cameron will be getting Sarah out of jail and end up meeting Weaver@ the end. Then there is still the other terminator in the background that Cam fought at the start and he was right there when Sarah got arrested so either he will be hunting them in Season 3, or another fight with him next week. That countdown timer on the main page cannot tick down fast enough!
Oh also B.A.G was great in his role in this show, he will be missed for sure, but I did kind of like the way it went down because a close confrontation with a terminator the way it happened ya your done just that fast.
I’m tired of hearing “Great episode ever” on this blog, because there are actually none sine this show returns in February, except E17, may be.
It’s a shame that you killed Derek that way, well, as it takes you 2 boring episode to kill Jesse. For Riley and Charley, at least they died at the last minute.
Don’t you get it?! WITHOUT CAMERON THIS SHOW IS NOTING!
So now everyone’s died, Sarah already had her cancer, and you are going to kill Cameron in the last episode, (please, at least she’ll get more screen time by that). So much hope for season 3!
Great episode ever!

I knew what?
Oh, now I get it. Pris. Daryl Hanna’s replicant.
Yes, I am a Fan with capital F of BLADE RUNNER, and now I’ve made a fool of myself for not getting that…
I’ve seen things you people wouldn’t believe… But the problem is I don’t always remember them myself!
;-D
new promo
http://spoilertv.blogspot.com/search/label/The%20Sarah%20Connor%20Chronicles
ThanK YoU Josh Friedman for that chilling scene of Weaver a terminator watching John-Henry and little Savanah singing with each other. You have shown this bunch of Summer/Cameron fanatics second guesser’s how your vision of Terminator and a great team of writers turn out incredible episodes that involve human/ AI interaction and its NOT ALL ABOUT CAMERON. The scenes with Dillahunt have been every bit as dynamic as Summer’s. Once again we see Weaver and JH in scenes where that leave us speechless. Did JH have troulbe looking Weaver in the eyes after lying to her ? Awesome ! IF Weaver and JH are the future faction with some compassion for humans, who represents the bad guys? Cameron ?
*starts sobbing* Derek!
Amazing episode, even if you made me cry several times. At least Derek is with his brother now.
*continues sobbing*
yeah best ep of S-2 I would have to say.
savanah/mackenzie was also in S-1 ep Dungeons & Dragons or so it says at imdb.com, [also in national treasure 2] will have to watch those again to see if I can spot her LOL
I thought maybe she had a a twin sister, as she looked different in one of the eps , but I guess not. she has been a good addition to the show in S-2, and I think savanah has a important role in the future, and that skynet Terminator [after this simply ST ] was just going to kill her. skynet seemed to recognize her in the last ep.
when sarah was arrested at end the ST was in the crowd, and I think he turned sarah in. that gets her out of the way and sets a trap for john and cameron if they come to get her.
ST will maybe go for savanah ,JH, and weaver now, all he has to do is follow ellison!
derek being shot like that was a shocker, it stunned me and seemed like not a good way to kill him off, but maybe better like that. bag was good as derek.
shirley was great as weaver in this ep and she looked really hot!
I liked at the end when she looked in on savanah and jh as they were singing, it was just like a mom would do. and I have said for some time JH is not skynet, and shirley is sort of good, and not working with or for skynet, she has her own agenda.
I would like to see her kill the ST when he comes after JH and savanah , that would be great.
from what weaver said, JH is going to protect ellison and savanah someday, or is the only way for them to survive, is if he survives.
“season” finale should be interesting, hope it isnt the last show we see , as things are getting interesting.
Sarah said she was going to burn ziera corp to ashes, so I dont think it is good Idea for her to go meet with weaver.
a great ep anyway
I afraid Sarah looses clarity of mind. She definitely lacks analytical thinking. She always rashes forward without doing mental math before, without thinking what she does. In fact I do understand why she is “the best solder”. In my opinion she is quite stupid in many things.
Btw, I had an idea about Derek’s death. If writers could make a machine that looks like him, than BAG could come back next season as a help/replacement to Cameron. He is so good that show misses a lot without BAG.
Who is to say that Derek can’t come back?
If the series gets a S3, what’s to say BAG can’t appear in future-set episodes, plus we’ve sortof established that the Jessie we encountered is from an alternate future to the one Derek remembered… who is to say an alternate Derek can’t be sent back in time to a different point in the present than “our’ Derek?
I watch Trek a lot so time paradoxes make sense to me … most of the time.
Otherwise… best episode of S2 so far. Manson is getting better each time she’s on-screen. As Manson becomes more knowledgable about acting professionally, and building her character, at the same time on-screen, Weaver/T1001 is learning to act and building her “range” as it were. It’s an awsome parrallell which is becoming very apparent.
I liked the very Tarantino-esque death for Derek though. Bang, dead, literally “move on”. It was over so quick, with no melodrama, just functional dialogue, it served to heighten the intensity of his death a la Marvin from Pulp Fiction in the back of the car. The send of was very fitting, I liked that he joins his brother in the unmarked grave, 25 rows up from Kyle.
I wonder who alerted the police to Sarah Connor’s whereabouts?
@Paul Probably, JH called the police. Technically he can.
Sorry, “it” can, not “he”.
The episode was fantastic, brilliantly written and executed - except for Derek’s death, which was awful.
For several episodes in a row, characters have been dying - one per episode.
When Riley went, her plotline had already grown gray and old.
When Jesse went, it was astonishing (though the offscreen death was somewhat annoying, as if the writers wanted to keep us guessing for no reason). Yet Jesse, despite some shining moments, never completely ‘clicked’. The slow-mo was cheesy as all hell, but, y’know. I didn’t think Derek would pull the trigger, and then he did.
When Charlie went, it was unsurprising but very effective. He was an excellent character and his final scenes were marvelous. Even better when you consider they were mostly talking head scenes - the hardest to pull off and not bore the audience. His death once again came with slow-mo, but sometimes that’s not a bad thing.
When Derek went, it didn’t matter. Here was a character with seasons’ worth of buildup - even if he spent the last half of a season doing very little. A well-written character, well-acted. Not for Derek the slow-mo. Not for Derek the life-and-death struggle. Not for Derek a heroic death. Not for Derek an effect on the scene, even. It was disturbingly apparent that the scene would have gone exactly the same with or without his presence. It didn’t make a difference that he lived, died, or even showed up that morning. Derek didn’t matter.
For Derek, a realistic death in an unrealistic drama.
I got what the writers were trying to do. I got it. But it doesn’t work. People die for John, yes - but Charlie did last episode. Jesse’s death is now irrelevant because we’ll never see any more effects of it on Derek. So Derek’s death made one death irrelevant and one death redundant. Did it support a theme of abrupt death, harsh realism and the realities of war? No, because the last three sequential deaths were overdramatic and a little cheesy (even if satisfyingly done). It seems, therefore, that Derek simply didn’t matter as much as those three.
Another thing: He was a fan favorite. This show has had some not-so-shining moments this season - episodes of dull writing that tried but fell flat. Bad storytelling choices made by good writers with a good story helping ratings sink like a stone. A noble effort. But the most forgiving fans were those who watched the show because they enjoyed the characters. Particularly “fan-favorites” Cameron and Derek. (Open secret that Jesse, Riley, and most other non-villanous characters were not so popular.) I don’t watch shows for this reason, but there are many who do. This seems almost to insult them. Perhaps I’m biased - I’ve been as harsh in critiquing this show as I would any show I love (or aspire to write), but I have a friend who was willing to let everything slide because she loved Derek. She wasn’t alone.
Addendum: “(Open secret that Jesse, Riley, and most other non-villanous characters were not so popular.)”
Note: Wasn’t including John and Sarah in that assessment; meant to write that in.
Devil’s Advocate thy name is me.
I’m not going to stop watching Fox if T:SCC ends with next week’s episode. And I’m not about to blame Josh or Fox because of the cancellation.
The Nielsen Rating System is outdated. It doesn’t take into account of the other viewers that watch the show, if it did the ratings wouldn’t appear at 2 to 3 mil but probably closer to 12 to 13 (that’s just a guess so if I’m wrong then oh well). If Fox could advertise as much with the DVRs and online viewership as much as it does with live broadcast then things would be an entirely different story.
So before I see next week’s episode and before I know the official without a doubt press release from Fox showing me the show’s fate I want to say thank you to Fox, thank you to Josh Friedman, thank you to all the crew, and of course thank you to the cast. You guys had the guts to base a show off of two blockbuster movies and even though you knew that people would be comparing every episode to those movies you still went ahead with it and did the best you could. The fact that we’re talking about it so passioantely is proof enough of the show’s success. No matter what anybody says know that you have made one viewer very satisfied with the product of your work.
Derek was a great character but I believe he died properly. It makes a point that war is often overly glorified and that in most cases people, very good people, don’t go out in a blaze of glory but rather are looking the wrong way at the wrong time and bam, that’s it. Derek was from a future that hemmoraged brutal, cold, dark reality and, to John, Derek was the living example of it. To give him a long drawn out, and probably a bit farfetched, death would be an injustice to his character. Good people die all the time like that. Are their deaths any less meaningless than those that go out in a blaze of gunfire?
“Best of the best. Counting kills. Like it’s a game. Like it’s just a game. I remember on particularly fun day. Guy in my squad got his stomach blasted open in a firefight. He spent six hours holding his own guts in. His buddy carried him on his back to the nearest aid station just praying that someone could put the dumb son of a bitch together again. The game, Pyle, the game is played with your buddy’s life, with the life of your squad, your platoon, the game is played by you, on behalf of the whole damn human race!”
RIP Derek Reese and thank you to Brian Austin Green, your art is incredible and a privelage to watch.
I was suprised that nobody thought for a second that Weaver set up the hit on her daughter for knowing too much and saying too much at the beginning of the episode. That was what i was afraid of the whole episode. I was not happy with how Derek perished. I do feel he was definitely a better soldier than that to walk around a corner like that otherwise he would have died a long time before he got sent back to the past. The idea that they killed Derek didn’t bother me what bothered me was the fact that Derek I feel had filled a gap in the series that the other three weren’t really filling completely in season one. I also feel that Derek should have at least died on his feet like a soldier defending John or maybe at the end of the episode run out to try and save Sarah from being captured and taking the killing blow meant for her. Something like that to give him a little redemption for having lied to the family like he had done previously. They gave all the other characters who died some meaning in their death Riley taking it to Jesse and having Jesse really scared she wasn’t going to survive for a minute. Charlie dying defending the boat so John could escape. Then the scene with Jesse and Derek where he supposedly shoots her although I don’t think he actually did it. I think he missed or didn’t pull the trigger personally but we won’t see her again anyhow since she’s doing that crappy new Melrose Place I mean jesus can’t the network stick with anything original where and why are they pulling these garbage shows up and redoing them it’s really terrible. I think I’m gonna have to say Heroes is my favorite this is my second favorite, and I watched the first 3 seasons of lost and then I got lost for real it just got fo far out there and didn’t make much sense anymore. This one thus far has at least not disappointed me yet it’s a great show but you really have to ask yourself if you were the Skynet and you wanted to truly stop John Connor before judgement day then why wouldn’t you just send back an entire army of terminators and bring judgement day earlier? That be the most reasonable solution I could think of. John can run from one maybe two terminators and even kill them one at a time but an entire army hunting him down theres no place he could run and nobody who could protect him enough frankly. Off topic again it’s late on the East Coast. They’ve axed all the characters who came in on season 2 I’m really not sure what to make of this. As for Weaver and JH I feel that if she were good then why would they have been developing the AI hovercraft hunter killer bot at that factory? Why would she have destroyed that factory and killed all those people without a second thought. There is no nuetral no good or bad it’s a machine that has been sent back with a mission. Now I feel JH is actually a good guy but I don’t feel that Weaver is for a second. I think John Henry is a distraction while the company works on skynet in other secret areas we haven’t found yet. I think the brother terminator is working under Weaver. I’m very perplexed by the good bad swinging motions that Weaver seems to be doing. I can’t really tell what the heck her plan is overall but believe me she is the main villian of this series she’s almost impossible to destroy she would destroy Cameron in a matter of minutes honestly. Funny I think they killed Derek to shock us and everyone feels Ellison is going to die soon as well. I think they will shock us again and Ellison will continue to live. When he lied to Weaver she should have seen him as a threat to her mission right there not able to be trusted and killed him off but he has some value to her for some reason to keep around. I think Weaver tipped off the detective about Sarah’s existence and told them to follow Ellison to find her. Either that or this detective is just good at what he does and saw through Ellison’s cover ups. But if he did that he would be turning around to arrest Ellison for conspiring with a known Terrorist right??? Ok enough anaylisis of the show I don’t know how it will end up I hope they don’t cancel it although Fridays has always been the genecidal murderer of good TV shows historically speaking. I hope the finale and the movie makes Fox keep it on for at least another season.
If we get into the deep waters of letting a new parallell time arc start each time anyone is sent back in time, Derek could in “theory” be sent back again. Because what present John Connor now knows could affect future-Johns action in the future. This could also be used (misused) by the AI:s as well, which in a which storytellingwise could create a major storytelling clusterf**k with machines correcting every mistake by sending new machines. The time travel mechanic of the show is kinda a delicate tool and shouldn’t be played with too much.
My guess is we got to accept that for now Mr Green will look for other job opportunities. It’s a shame, felt like the Connors lost Derek too soon. But maybe that’s a good death in way. That a character who carried a nice chunk of the show is gone in an instant., and because of that viewers really will miss him. At the same time it sends the message that no one is safe as Sarah would’ve put it. Now it really shows.
Toni did an amazing job with the writing, she really got to play with some tough parts. Here the pacing felt perfect. Having an episode like this one every week wouldn’t be possible. Smart not to let the moarning of Derek take too much time of this episode. I guess it will be implemented later. Death always have consequenses right? Also we still don’t know what really happened in that basement. Can’t wait for the season finale.
Also, finger crossed for season 3.
Interesting: the author of the final season episode is Josh.
I’m greatly amused by all the old Scottish folk song theories about ‘Donald Where’s Your Troosers’ (yes, that’s troosers, not trousers - as Shirley would no doubt tell you). It was an up-tempo NOVELTY record by Andy Stewart in the 1960s (he even did a comedy Elvis impression in the middle). That song and its ilk are part of the och-aye-the-noo tartan/haggis/bagpipes Scottish stereotype - it’s no more ancient Celtic or Gaelic than The Macarena is traditional Spanish…
(and yes, I am actually Scottish).
Having said all that, such a comedy record would’ve been just the thing for Savannah’s daddy to teach his little girl, and I found the ridiculousness actually made the JH/Savannah duet even more chilling (as I’m sure Josh intended): sort of like Frankenstein’s monster and his young protégé singing The Ketchup Song… creepy as hell.
Great episode, btw.
OMG, OMG, OMG.
Poor Charley. And now poor Derek. And Sarah… OMG OMG. It was shocking. I can’t believe. It was amazing.
Nick85: Derek expendable? Who said that?
You don’t make the intro surround the four main characters where one is “expendable”… That is what the other 5 or so characters are for.
And was Derek some sort of amateur playing with a paintball gun? I couldn’t tell by the way he just ran in front of a Terminator like he never spent a day in combat… It was TOTALLY inconsistent with his character… unless he WANTED to die…
LASTLY, the way it happened was completely disturbing. I mean the warning label at the beginning of the show should have said, “Viewer Discretion Advised… for real.” The way Derek stopped and dropped was so realistic, it was very disturbing. I personally feel like a have experienced a real life event just from that brief, dramatic scene. It was certainly traumatizing… and I almost think that was the whole intention for that scene. It seems the writers wanted to shock the audience as much as they can even if that means playing in the Taboo: the taboo of NOT offing your main characters like a no name Star Trek extra in a fight scene. It just felt like the writers were saying, “Forget keeping the character consistent, or consider any future consequences… let’s just get the most “holy crap” we can get.” That is a sad perspective, and cheap for a well written show like this, so I hope I’m wrong. Regardless, using Derek like some Nerf gun champion and not as a soldier who fought machines his whole adult life was completely unacceptable, unfortunate and a mistake. Don’t bring Derek back. He was one of my most favorite characters, but what’s done is done, so let it be.
I have never been so upset about one scene in my entire life…
However, it was an excellent episode.
Alright, Derek being killed aside…
WHAT WAS WEAVER TALKIN BOUT in the elevator?!?!?!?!?!
john henry could be the key to our survival or something?
starting to think JH is NOT skynet (and that his “brother” is)
ALSO think that weaver is the same terminator from “last voyage of the jimmy carter”
When I have read that Toni Graphia and Charles Beeson are behind “Adam raised a cain” I already knew that the episode would be deep, dark, smart, and shocking.
Just like “Allison from Palmdale”.
I am afraid I will not be able to concentrate on my work this weekend.
That was beyond the awesome. Exciting, sad, funny, creepy, amazing! How can you possibly top that?!!!!!
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Derek was the best thing on that show, with Cameron….that was an insult to the fans. Just horrible and showed a complete lack of consideration for the loyal fans who watch this show and care about a great character.
Guys, you have to give us Season 3!
Just got an e-mail from Amazon saying that season 2 DVD will be out a month later. Due date is in October for Europe.
OMFG!!!
i was just watching the episode, and after they killed Derek, i was stunned, like i kept saying: Holy shit!!! Hooly shit!! HOOOLY SHIIIIT!!!
didn’t expect that AT ALL!!!
and the fact that John and Cameron are alone now…
i’m more and more certain of what i said on this blog about my theory that JH is not skynet, and Weaver represents another faction in the future
just saw the preview for the next episode, this is gonna be a blood bath apparently!!!O_o
Can’t Wait!!!
please Fox, give us a 3rd Season!!!!
WOW! Awesome episode, missed it last night but just watched it on FOD
Looks like a setup for T4 (the movie). The current-day resistance is all but dead. Even if Ms. Weaver is a “good” terminator, she still seems to value self-preservation more than re-programmed T-800s. If things don’t go well with Weaver, she/it may kill Ellison and disable Cameron. John could end up all alone. By himself he would be unable to stop Judgement day, and T4 would be the next thing for Terminator junkies to see (I’m not going to miss it).
I was a bit shocked to see Derek go, but if my analysis above is correct, it makes sense. I was also pissed off that Debbie (the nanny) was killed off before we got to see her do at least some turbo body crunches. Damn shame. Cutest one so far.
Another technical nitpick: since John Henry is an AI running on a computer system, what’s left of Cromartie does not need to watch incoming video on a monitor. Incoming video, deciphered by the AI is projected onto a monitor, goes through Cromartie’s “eyes” and back into the AI. The loop is redundant.
there wass something weird when Sarah was in the car, there was a man looking at her in a weird way, i think it was resistance fighter, i thougt it was a terminator and was holding my breath waiting for the moment when he was going to kill her, but it didn’t happen, fortunately:D
i also found it very cute, the interaction between JH and Savannah, when the terminator was trying to kill her, at the moment when you see that the headset doesn’t work anymore, he just looked so distressed, and you could see that he didn’t know what to do right then, and only could watch helplessly Savannah get killed (or so he thought^_^)
One word: EXCELLENT.
A few of you believe that BAG may come back in flashback scenes if there is a season 3. I read that he has already signed up for a new series about politicians in D.C. so I doubt he would be returning.
Sarah can’t spend eternity in jail, so if Cameron busts her out, where does she go? Her face is plastered everywhere.
Derek’s death was a pure LOST style character death, I haven’t even seen in LOST for a while now. It came out of nowhere and it was absolutely shocking, it was the way it should be. I was sad about his death the entire episode, he was my favorite character next to Cameron.
But the entire episode really thrilled me, it was well made, I really enjoyed the interaction between Savanna and John Henry, the cliffhanger was well executed. This is going to be one hell of a finale.
If Fox cancels this show it will be the cruelest thing they’ve done since cancelling Firefly.
Jman,
I know but couldn’t she be spoken of, alluded to, or do a guest appearance or Melrose get canceled and she’d come back or she’d get killed on Melrose…

I hate when a work of art like T:SCC has to adapt itself to so many commercial constraints. Or should I? Sometimes it seems like an occasion for the creators to surpass themselves: with the death of Derek, forced upon T:SCC by contract, they made us feel in full what it is to fight metal which is just out to steamroll you. Great moment.
TourianTourist,
if Fox cancels this show and WB doesn’t move to insure its survival somehow it’ll be more shocking than Derek’s death and leave a strong taste of metal in my mouth.
bah, Derek’s dead but once again, i enjoyed the perfomance of Cameron and John Connor
derek’s death was too fast, i think that most of the folks may though that he was hit in the chest or something. Unfortunelly, it was on his head. :S
OH GOD! i can barely wait to see the season finale, it’s gonna be f***** awesome! =D but sad at the same time
i have no longer purpose in my life! LOL
just kidding*
but yeah, its mix of sensation! but i would be more excited if they make a 3rd series
Dmitry, I honestly wish that what I’ve read and heard from reliable sources isn’t true that this show would be cancelled after next week’s final episode. I’m still in disbelief myself and praying it’s not true. Unfortunately, it appears FOX is set to announce this officially at the beginning of May. The original intent of this show was to peak interest for T4, which comes out May 21st, and I believe they did a good job with that. If they get enough pressure from viewers there’s a very slim chance that a special episode leading up to T4 could be produced, however the actors have all moved on to other projects now and are no longer shooting any scenes for TSCC. Why do I know all of this? Family and friends in the biz on sets very close to where TSCC was shot (I have proof).
Peeps, I’m honestly not trying to start something here, it’s just that we all hate to see it go and hate hearing that it’s gone. Look at their individual web sites and you’ll find this to be true. Lena Heady and Thomas Dekker are currently filming a movie, Summer Glau is on the set of another movie, Brian Austin Green is going back to 90210 and Shirley Mason is having an “undisclosed” surgery in Scotland. They’re not allowed to disclose the fact that the show has been cancelled, but the writing is clearly on the wall for all to see. I still want to thank Josh and the entire TSCC crew for giving us one of the most incredible TV dramas of all time and I’m sure, despite it’s short running, that it will find its place among some of the best shows TV (as we know it) ever had.
AMAZING! I jumped off my seat when Derek died. This show is BRILLIANT. WONDERFUL writing, acting, and production. If Fox doesn’t bring this show back, then something is seriously wrong with them. It’s going to be a long summer.
playbassken, you do not know what you are talking about. The filming of season 2 finished weeks ago , what you see yesterday is filmed weeks ago and it is not surprising that they do not film anything right now because season 2 is already filmed. And for every show in tv, there is a break between seasons and during breaks actors work on different projects if they can find one. So, actors working on other mowies during break is not relevant to the cancellation of the show.
@playbassken:
Just because Thomas, Summer and Lena are shooting movies during the pause, doesn’t mean the show was cancelled. This is a normal thing for actors to do while a show is on hiatus. And I wouldn’t count Shirley Mason or Brian Austin Green. Derek is dead and you don’t know, if Weaver will play a role in an upcoming season or if she even survives the next episode.
Derek’s death and the way John was looking at him on the floor, seemed to underscore the earlier episode with Sarah saying humans are the most important thing, and when they’re gone, they can’t be repaired. It just seemed to drive that point home even more. Bam, he’s gone.
Cameron/Summer fans, be prepared for anything next week. Of course she’ll be back next season if there is one, but I’m just sayin’. The scene with John leaning over her may indeed be the last one with her, I thought that might have been shown last in the teaser to throw us off.
Preview for next week sure looks good. Josh said it’s the most ambitious yet. Again, great work Toni G and staff, and all involved.
This episode was intense. And Derek’s death was a shocker. It happened in a blink of an eye. Then again, when you’re in his line of ‘business’, death can come for you at any time. No slow motion, no dramatic music, no life flashing before your eyes. Just death. The moment was executed flawlessly.
Also, I fear for Sarah’s life. The Terminator that killed Derek was there when the cops captured her. It could find her in prison, she’s basically a sitting duck. Then again, Cameron seemed to imply Sarah does have cancer after all, so she might be nearing the end of the road. Man oh man, it’s impossible to even imagine being in her shoes.
The next episode still has plenty of questions to answer, so it’s probably going to be a shocker. Can’t wait! Also, I realize that chances for a third season are slim, but I’m keeping my fingers crossed. Things have gotten way too interesting to cut it off like this.
Derek’s death was terrible. It is very out of character, after hearing the commotion of the battle of the 2 terminators to slowly walk in a narrow corridor with his gun drawn. He already saw the body at the front door with the head shot. Loved Derek’s stories of future past. Very disappointed. If they can have an 8th season of 24 (especially after season 6 was so weak) they can have a third season of TSCC.
They better bring back Jesse (Stefanie Jacobsen) to save Sara.
Man if this show is cancelled it would truly be a disappointment. The only TV shows I plan into my week are sports, Celebrity Apprentice, and Terminator. Out of the three I watch Terminator 1st.
This is bad. Us viewrs in our 30’s are hooked because we remember sneaking around to see the original title in the mid 80’s (my older brother hooked me up with a copy when I was a kid) This show is fun on so many levels, not to mention the rebirth of BAG!
Now what.
TV today is for wild a$$ kids who get pump full of ignorant messages and then try and live out fantasy in real life….(drugs, sex, evil….)
TV sucks today,
As for the matter of who called the police to the theater, I would guess nobody did. It had been stablished that that detective was suspicious of Ellison, so probably he just had him tailed in hopes of finding Savannah.
Just my two cents.
That was a jaw-dropping piece of television. I was dumbstruck by that. So much going on, perfect pathos, some beautiful shots/angles, great storyline development, *great* writing, and a very strong showing from all of the actors/actresses. And the death of a key character — totally unexpected and very shocking.
As others have noted, the human/AI interaction is possibly the most compelling element of this show. The small facial expressions, the motivations, the little “tells” — all very enjoyable and intruiging. Garret Dillahunt, again, amazing. Richard T. Jones — super. Shirley Manson — wow. No doubt about it, this was *brilliant*. And a big thanks to Brian Austin Green, who really delivered for this show — I really enjoyed his dark/intense character.
Wow. While I’ll miss Derek, I thought it was pretty ballsy the way they killed him off. Ten minutes in, no fanfare, no build up, just “Oh, Derek’s here, oh, now he’s dead.’ My first thought was why didn’t they build it up and make it the last scene of the show. Then I realized they’d already done that with Charlie and anyway, death is usually not grand, not glamorous. The way they treated Derek’s death scene, as a throwaway, made it feel all the more real. His quick and unexpected death struck a chord precisely because if wasn’t inflated Hollywood style. And they did sent him off nicely in the end with how he was buried. Great writing.
P.S. Oh, and Brian Austin Green, I never thought I’d say this, but you’ll be missed. I still remember that line you delivered to some attendee at that comic book convention back when you were first cast was priceless. “When you think action, you think Brian Austin Green.” BEST. LINE. EVER. And lo and behold, you actually pulled it off. In spades. Good luck with your future endeavors.
@playbassken You do not sound convincing. There is no point for Fox to keep silence if they already decided. So you made it all up.
Must have season 3.
BAG was awesome, but I like his character’s death. As the lady said this week, “Keep moving.”
I really hope that John (the writers) is smart enough to not go after his mother right away (learned his lesson from T2). All terminators in 2010(?) will see the TV coverage and waiting. I think we already saw one in the crowd of officers.
If they do, i hope Cameron goes into the police station Terminator 1 style. It would be a little cheesy but a good callback.
Finally, I do believe that Weaver is the same T-1000 we saw on the sub. I posted my reasons: http://joythrusin.blogspot.com/2009/04/getting-ready-for-terminator-sarah.html
I am finally liking the John Henry character. Let’s keep it going FOX! (also watch Dollhouse).
@playbassken:
You say you honestly are not trying to “start something here”, but you spend an awful lot of time and energy trying to derail this thread - which really should only be about discussion of the episode and nothing more - with your constant repetition of already debunked information (sets have not been struck), nonsensical conclusions (of course they are not shooting anything related to TSCC right now, months before a possible production start for a third season), etc. Just stop it.
Also, hadley, you guys need to twitter…
Memnoch, I agree with you. I started to suspect the same about weaver and the sub t-1000 last week. Next week’s preview did look like cameron went in to the police station, and was it just me or was her jacket a little 80’s looking? =) FOX, KEEP THIS SHOW ALIVE!
Awsome Episode
Yes, twitter away, please.
I loved the show. Edge of my seat. I can’t wait until the final ep.
Long live SCC!!
God I hope that all the naysayers, all the armchair producers all the “well informed” doom criers get it on the nose with a season 3 that will continue this awesome season ending.
For those who missed season finale preview (in HQ):
http://video.google.ca/videosearch?q=TSCC%20Episode%202×22&oe=utf-8&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&hl=en&tab=wv#
I can’t wait! It will blow our minds!
Sarah believes that her son is a messiah. Catherine Weaver believes John Henry is God… So, Skynet is definitively the devil?
And ReCaptcha says: toast Hippocampus
@Dmitry: There is a point to not telling. If they’d announce now that the show will not get a season 3, interest would drop completely for the final episode.
I think Fox hasn’t made up its mind yet. If you ask me, it’s going to be a long wait until we know anything concrete, just like it was after season 1.
Also, some of the actors on the show doing movies over the summer doesn’t mean that this thing is getting canceled. As far as I know, Lena Headey and Thomas Dekker did some movies last summer as well, and they were back for season 2, no problem.
Anyway, I hope s3 happens. I’ve grown quite fond of the Connors and their plight.
Sarah walks outside of the theater and sees the police.
“Put your hands up! You are wanted for disruption of traffic and public indecency!”
(When they time traveled and appeared naked in the middle of the highway.)
Sarah just roles her eyes.
Brilliant.
The manner of Derek’s death was perfect. Instant, unexpected and not dwelled-upon. It makes it a lot more real, and I applaud the writers / directors for avoiding the temptation of doing a long, drawn-out, over-dramatic scene or series of scenes - too many programmes fall into that trap.
Really looking forward to the next episode and, I hope, next series!
- they’d be mad to cancel it …. there’ll be a frenzy of interest once T4 lands.
@playbassken
Yes Dekker and Headley are working on movies. On the other hand, they’ve already completed OTHER movies while working on TSCC. If you knew anyone in the business who knew anything, you’d know it isn’t that uncommon. If you like, I’ll look a few up for you (I know a couple off hand but I’m sure I could come up with many just by browsing IMDB).
You still haven’t provided any link(s) supporting your claim.
The following was posted online on October 6th 2008:
Terminator gets, yes, terminated.
A source on “Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles” has told End Of Show that no new episode scripts have been ordered by FOX, beyond the 13 already written. This will force the show to shut down production shortly. ”To say we’re on the brink of cancelation is polite”, our source says…
Our source tells us the cast contracts expire in short order, which means producing a 13 episode series this year and then returning next Fall is not an option due to the cost of renewing the cast and not producing episodes. Additionally, it does not make finance sense to return when a series is averaging just over 5 million viewers.
The following was posted September 30th 2008
With ratings far below even the network’s worst predictions, Fox could pull the plug on production for “Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles” as early as this week.
The network has been disappointed by “Sarah Connor’s” numbers so far this season, and some executives feel that the show is dragging down numbers for “Prison Break,” which airs as a lead-out.
etc. etc etc
Actually last Sept - Oct there were actually a lot of fairly credible rumors out their indicating that TSCC was being cancelled. Right now there are none. At least none I can find so please, provide some links.
My speculation of how things will end…
* John Henry’s AI will become the basis of Skynet.
* Skynet will have various safeguards to prevent an accidental war (as any good military would expect), but since Savannah taught John Henry that it is okay to change the rules, these safeguards fail.
* Skynet causes World War III in order to help protect Savannah, or at least in what John Henry thinks will help protect Savannah.
As an example, let’s say the US and another nation are at high diplomatic tensions… of course neither government wants to have a nuclear war, but alot of posturing is occuring. John Henry worries that if a war happens, Savannah could die.
So, what if John Henry decides that the best way to protect her is to have her go to a safe place (fallout shelter or something) and then trigger a war.
In John Henry’s mind, it is better to have a war start when he knows that Savannah is safe, than having a possible war start when he does not have control of Savannah’s circumstances.
So, John Henry causes Skynet to star WWIII. All the while, keeping Savannah safe in a bunker. And John Henry starts gathering surviving animals and people onto ships (like what we saw in the “Allison” episode. Why? Savannah needs to eat, right?
Just a thought.
As usual, many things are covered in the blog post T:TSCC 0221 - Adam Raised a Cain as well as the related fancast. (Sorry if this link gets seen twice…the first attempt got stuck in moderation heck with no explanation.)
I did have a “Hmmmm” moment with Sarah getting caught by police and John + Cameron didn’t: were all the police only at that one exit? Seriously? There was absolutely no contingency that Sarah might go out the emergency exit (as is so common at some theaters) or a secondary one (e.g. the one John and Cameron used)?
Who ratted Sarah out? Well…Ellison showed in spades that just because he says he did or didn’t do something doesn’t mean squat. Still… I think it more likely that it was Weaver as she seems to only know about the existence of Sarah Connor.
Which, when you come to think about it, is curious. Once the withholding of the surveillance videos was known about, wouldn’t Catherine then watched said surveillance videos? And wouldn’t Catherine then have ID’d JC, if not CP? Maybe that’s for next week?
Alternatively, if you want to go with the religion route…
John Henry decides to act like God from the Bible, and cause the next great flood.
The ship we saw in the “Allison” episode is analogous to Noah’s Ark, with all the animals and human on board in cages.
John Henry perhaps wants to purge mankind of its sin… people at war, people hurting one another, people lying to one another.
Humanity is sacred. Humanity has committed all the Bible’s sins upon itself.
So John Henry will save Humanity, by destroying the world and rebuilding anew.
Man was made in God’s image…. so what if he makes skin-job Terminators to replace man?
I think it was John Henry who turned in Sarah Connor. She blew up Cyberdyne and JH feels threatened by her.
First thought when I awoke today, Oh yeah they killed Derek last night.
A quiet Friday night, many shows were down in viewers, some were repeats.
1.3/5, 3.35 million viewers.
Last week:
1.3/5, 3.83
Fox’s Sci-fi lineup looks like a goner, including Dollhouse.
@Chad,
And as Elton John says: “Saturday Night’s Alright For Fighting.”
So, you’ve come to deflate our mostly happy thoughts of a pretty solid episode, huh?
Let’s fight! LOL!
3,35 million viewers oh man -.-
And how do I combat ratings negativity?

Robert,
The point I was trying to make is the characters (Derrick) would hear the terminators.
Derek would hear the terminator, and therefore his death scene was more bad writing.
As the Simpson comic book guy would say.
“Worst Sci-Fi death since the death of the Honorable Captain James Tiberius Kirk”
Derek survived, too much to not hear any thing coming at him.
Cameron, John and Sarah would not all go into the theater like that, without a watch out point.
Cameron would have heard the cars, the cops.
No sound because they could not figure out or didn’t care how to write around it and its insulting and disgustingly bad.
In my opinion.
Didn’t even have a good shot of Cameron running away in those tight jeans.
“worst tight jean runaway by a hot terminator, ever!”
Finishing touches.
Last three minutes of S2.
Scottish bagpipes playing “Amazing Grace”. Shirley Manson does the vocal.
Cold, rainy day. Camera pans the grave sites of those who gave their lives in defense of John Connor.
Marines in dress blues fire three volleys. The shots echo across the countryside.
Slow fade to blackness.
I could live with that.
Apologies for my long-winded post last night. I shouldn’t have inflicted my deep distress on everyone else. Again apologies.
Brilliant episode. I had heard (accidentally) that BAG was already signed on for a pilot for another series, so I knew he was a gonner, but I was obviously as surprised at the way it went down. Brian….great work on this series. You will be missed.
Kudos to Shirley Manson this week. As others have mentioned, she keeps getting better and better. I love how her character is learning about being human and all the nuances in expression, affect, etc. that keep getting added to the portrayal of the character. It’s really cool how Shirley is learning about acting just as Weaver is learning about being human. And a side note to the writers….HILARIOUS line when Savannah said “you can’t sing”. As a major Garbage fan, I definitely got some laughs out of that one. I guess we won’t see any Weaver / John Henry duets any time soon :-p
Thank you to all this week’s sponsors for your support. Thank you to Josh, the writers and the cast for putting out an amazing show. The only TV show I watch is Terminator and I look forward to it every single week. I’m keeping my fingers crossed for a season 3.
And to all you Negative Nancys out there re:renewal, you’re really doing the show a disservice by spreading your rumors around the web. People naturally like to root for the winning team and telling the world you have “proof” that the show has been cancelled is NOT the way to gain a larger audience. Spreading talk like that only hurts the show. So maybe you could do the show a favor and try for once to be a POSITIVE voice because T:SCC is an awsome show and the truth is that we won’t know the fate of T:SCC until we see an actual press release from someone at Fox or WB.
The whole reason for the large amount of deaths is very simple. Through out the series; both seasons; so far, so many characters have been concerned with Johns innocence and his “lack” of being “leader like”. JF is simple killing or keeping John from his support system. Jesse killed his girl Riley, and then Derek killed Jesse (i think) who in her own way was “protecting” John. Then Charlie; John’s main father figure, then Derek, and now Sarah is in police custody. He now has no choice but to step up to the plate and become the solo leader he is destine to become. On Weaver, could she be docile (good) and in some way trying to protect John herself? Where does Ellison’s loyalty REALLY lie? What role does Savannah have to play in the future? And is Cameron REALLY for John or is she working against him secretly? Please give us a third season, cause I KNOW they won’t answer all these questions in only 1 episode.
I’m old enough to have been a fan of the original 90210 and I never really paid attention to Brian A. Green. But he is incredibly talented and it took TTSCC’s for me to appreciate his skill. I am really sad that he is gone and sincerely hope another drama scoops him up. He has an odd “x” factor quality that comes through in his acting, because I think he must have it in real life. This episode was brilliant.
Donovan:
“worst tight jean runaway by a hot terminator, ever!”
Hilarious buddy. And I’m glad to see I’m not the only one who isn’t lining up to kiss the butt of Josh and the writers. Most of this season has been phoned in. The fawning and addoration here is stomach turning at times. I’ll give credit where it’s due but at best Josh gets a C grade because of all of the glaring errors in assessing the market.
Wow, that was by far one of the best episodes of the season!!! I WAS SO AMAZED!!! This show shocks the hell out of me, that’s what makes it so great. I couldn’t believe about Derek, and I think his death was perfect. It was fast, with no hesitation. It felt real. It reminded me of the scene when Leonardo Dicaprio got shot in the head in “THE DEPARTED”. It was fast and unexpected, that you don’t even realize what happened. This is the best show on TV, so please I beg to Fox or any other network, PLEASE renew it, it’s a masterpiece. Us fans are very dedicated, and will stick by it to the end. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE!!!!!!!
You know what, I think it is very impropriate to post blogs on this page undergrounded with a big Cameron’s picture. She’s only a meaningless supporting character on this show, anyway. God, if you really need to let us feel this way eventually, why giving her so much depth in Season 1?
Snake wrote:

Oh, silly me, I though a writer’s concern should be writing the best stories he can, not conforming them to better “assess the market”.
My mistake.
Ughhh, the Ratings went down this week.
The general public sucks. (or at least those who count) we had a great ep with action and it still wasnt enough for them.
I had this whole response typed out in detail and thought out… and then I get a f–king page loading error!
Goddamnit!
Anyway… so goes it.
Much like Derek’s death. Short ‘n’ to the point.
Hmmm, Terminators stomping around? People hear them? Did Arnold stomp around in the movies with people hearing him coming? Raising peoples’ eyebrows because of the stomping sound? I don’t recall that at all from the movies. What about the rest of you die hard fans, was that effect really in the movies?
If I can believe time travel, machines that look and can talk like humans, and can track people down, certainly I can believe that Terminators could walk quietly if needed. Lol. In fact, double laughing out loud.
Again, fantastic work by Josh and crew. Extremely entertaining series with an amazing cast and production crew.
The previews for this next week look spectacular. And C’mon season three!!
I strongly suggest the appearance of a Derek clone. Why not throw in a Kyle as well?
RE: the “cancellation/actors doing other things/sets torn down” rumours
The show is either on hiatus til the start of production on S3 in May… or has been cancelled, in which case we’ll probably get confirmation by the end of April (last year S2 wasn’t confirmed as green lit til April 22nd).
But let’s just go on the assumption the show is returning from hiatus:
1. Shirley is in Scotland. Well she does have three months off work, so where else would she go but home for a while? Considering she’s had a death in the family while filming the back-nine, I’m not surprised she’s back home as soon as production ended on the finale.
NOT PROOF OF CANCELLATION
2. The other actors are filming new projects. For full-time season contracted actors, the only time they get to do “outside” work is during the three-month haitus. The average movie shoot is 60-80 days so filming commitments could easily be kept within the hiatus period.
NOT PROOF OF CANCELLATION
3. It has been noted as “telling” that Stephanie Jacobsen, Brian Austin Green and Dean Winters have signed up for new series and pilots for next season, and that they have done so has gave away that there won’t be a S3. Well now we know why they have done so. If there is a S3 they won’t be around anyway.
NOT PROOF OF CANCELLATION
4. The blogger who is adamant that they were told by FOX security that the TSCC sets had been struck. Let’s think about the main sets for S2. Jesse’s hotel room: storyline complete, set not needed any longer. Connor’s family house: storyline moved on from the location, so set not needed any longer. And, if Sarah destroys the ZeiraCorp building next week, then Weaver’s office and John Henry’s basement will not be needed either. It is entirely plausible, although depending on the events of the final episode of course, that none of the standing sets for S2 will be required for S3, so they have been struck.
NOT PROOF OF CANCELLATION
Can anyone think of any other holes in the rumours?
Victor, you’re right! It was terrific. Heck, even someone of the biggest Josh bashers are on board now after the last few episodes. This should be a great finale.
Snake:
“The fawning and adoration here is stomach turning at times.”
I say, Amen! Amen! and halleluiah! To that. These Fanboys and Girls Makes me massively overwhelmingly sick.
What the hell! Are! People! Watching!
C ? Far too many phoned-in and glitches for me.
I would suspend him until further notice, with no desserts, and he must remove all Springsteen from his ipod. All Springsteen would be replace with “techno bar” classics.
That’s as far as I can go because Skynet says we must be nice here.
On which new movie Summer works now? Anyone has some informations about this? Google finds nothing.
Actually, it’s just that most people here know what is good. That’s the bottom line. The few naysayers left are really being drowned out now. No attacks, just stating facts.
@Bill: “Incoming video, deciphered by the AI is projected onto a monitor, goes through Cromartie’s “eyes” and back into the AI. The loop is redundant.”
John Henry is based off of Cyberdyne code like the Terminators. Given that Terminators have a heads-up display (instead of just intuitively knowing all those data points that appear on-screen), I assume JH is behaving similarly. JH is and has always been a visual thinker and communicator. Once he was plugged into the T-888 endo and instructed to work on learning to operate through it, his primary source of visual information probably became the endo’s eye cameras. I’m sure he could have processed the raw security footage manually if he wanted to, but he’s trying to master the T-888 body.
That said, I wonder how the 2009 hardware they put together for JH compares to the hardware platform of a T-888 chip. Is there a reason CW has not ported his code over yet aside from wanting to keep him tethered? With all these Terminators running around, I’m sure CW could have found another one and stolen its chip by now if she wanted to.
Zeira
Zeira was a Talmudist who was also known as “the pious Babylonian”.
Hadley, assuming there’s a season 3 I have a suggestion for next year that you provide a thread for general chat vs. episode specific stuff. Love this blog, but it’s becoming a major time suck to keep current on the thread (reading 200+ posts every Sat is quite a fan commitment, you know)
Hat’s off to the whole TSCC family for last night’s adventure. To complete the parent analogy, you can have the car keys back.
-The girl who plays Savannah is a monster good actress. Standing Ovation. Perfect foil for Weaver, because it should be obvious by Savannah’s outgoing personality that her mom & dad were gregarious as well. I was helping my daughter catch up on the show last night because she wanted to watch with me (not the BAG scene, btw). While I was explaining she came up with an interesting question…where’s Savannah’s real mom? Cameron says she never kills w/out cause…I think it’s the same for Weaver. Could a big reveal for S3 be that the real Weaver is on ice somewhere, and robo-Weaver brings her back into the picture? Shirley gets to play a human and Savannah gets her mom back? It would be nice to round out the Savannah story with a warm image of mother/daughter…mom singing a lullaby.
-Great energy and drive this week, but I have to point out the glaring logic gap in Cameron letting the Terminator tumble down the hill. By TSCC logic all terminators must be burned. Makes not sense for Cam to walk away from this one. Connors could have left her there, or dropped her at the bottom of the hill to de-chip the dude at the very least. I’m guessing this gap was allowed for dramatic purposes to serve next week’s storyline. Another minor puzzler related to this is, if there’s a Terminator in the water-cooler hit squad…where was he during last week’s coordinated hits? Wouldn’t it have made sense to send him with the Cameron squad? And if he was the guy taking Cam down he wouldn’t have needed instructions on how to de-chip. I’m assuming they didn’t just call for a Terminator to be drop-shipped into 2009 between last weeks ep and this one. So, yea…that’s all a bit murky.
-I feel a bit sad for Brian. He’s lost a tight character and a tight girlfriend all in the same year. There is no fate but what we make, BAG. Soldier on.
-My projection for the S2 cliff-hanger is that Cam gets sufficiently damaged springing Sarah that she’s a liability. Weaver and JH assist JC in the get away. Weaver morphs into Sarah and plays decoy for the cops. JH arranges to have Cameron’s body picked up by Mr. Murch and brought back to ZierraCorp, where he downloads her memory bank before her power supply fails. Cam gets put into statis until JH can learn how to repair her, or rebuild her. Cam is the parallel to Kyle, John has to send her back or else JH will never learn what he needs to in order to battle SkyNet.
That’s incredible: the best show I have seen on tv for a while and… There is still some people not happy and trying to pop others bubbles…
“Humans will disapoints you…”
So true…
My second post on how wonderful this episode was…..
Staggering, Sarah sitting cuffed in the police car brought me back in time to when I/WE first saw Lena in the pilot. One more moment where serotonin was released in this episode. Me thinks Cameron called the cops, she seems to be at odds with all Sarah’s calls lately. Especially ending all business with Ellison. Also found it odd with Cameron using the phrase ditch, she was going for an emotional responce out of John. “Sarah was trying to dich us and then you” Sorry Cameron, or should I say Tin Miss you don’t get between John and Sarah Connor ! She’s the best soldier he’s ever known , ever !
To the few constipated trolls who feel the need to interject their unique kind of hate to the show/JF everyone and everything except Summer/Cameron (their one in the same to this bunch) would you go troll a show you like? Really what is the point, do you get cavities filled for fun on your day off? One would think so.
@Snake
There’s a difference between trashing the show (I could really care less) and trashing the people who like the show. Every show has it’s flaws. Those who enjoy the show will overlook them and those who don’t will harp on them until the end of time.
Paul Anderson”
“NOT PROOF OF CANCELLATION
Can anyone think of any other holes in the rumours?”
I step through this hole and say the only reason the show has not been canceled in the public is because Warner bros have a $200 million dollar movie coming out in about 40 days and they wisely, simply, do not want to work spin around headlines likes.
Terminator Terminated!
Terminator’s Salvation is too late. Terminated.
The only way they could spin it is to bad mouth this little puppy.
So why bother with negative press on your own produckt, just smile and make all seem happy.
For free they also get tons of net losers like us write crap to keep interest in the franchise.
$200,000,000 eight holes and two.
Now if you will excuse me I’m going to the doughnut shop and then back to the library, because I know she will come, someday.
I am understanding more about the “brother” now. It was the “brother” and not Kaliba that tried to wipe out the Connor family last episode. They had retrieved the information about Sarah and her transmitter from John Henry. They also received information about how to take down Cameron from John Henry. The reason they had Savannah’s picture on their phone was because she as their next target. I find it interesting that they have also acquired a cyborg (the one who tried to take Savannah). Whether he was reverse engineered or taken from one sent back is uncertain. This Cyberdyne brother is very dangerous and makes me think even more strongly that Weaver is on a mission that is different from Skynet’s. Her comment to Ellison about John Henry being vital to his and Savannah’s survival verify’s it to me. Very Cool Stuff.
So sad! They have to bring Derek back.
I love that the show is slowly but surely going back to the amazingness it was the first season. I want Derek to come back on the show though!!!
PLEASE GIVE US A THIRD SEASON FOX!!!
RE: Donavan
Oh I agree with you that a cancellation confirmation will not come before either the finale or the movie premiere. I’m hoping that the numbers for T4, and the demographic success of the series (against the general low ratings) will encourage FOX to give the show a S3.
I’m just saying that I’ve heard “insider” rumours from movies, tv and music for years now and there’s no point in getting caught up in the engative ’til it’s official. Of course, the sets may be all struck, or “re-arranged” as someone put it elsewhere and the actors may be off doing other things, but nothing above says for definite that the show is already dead.
I think there are lots of cool opportunities to bring Derek back via flashbacks. John thinking about the lessons learned from Derek. More car chats. Conversation over cleaning guns. etc.
Same goes for Cameron. I think she’s going to end up merged into JH as her own AI entity. Summer will show up on cell calls to John, youtube posts, etc.
Terminator Salvation does not come out at an optimal time for TSCC. Salvation is a few weeks too late to have given TSCC the necessary bump in viewers/ratings to potentially survive. However the movie will be a major hit regardless to what happens with Fox’s decision.
Being that the movie is coming out in May, its impact will once again be minimal for a Fall launch of season three. Fox cannot bank on the movie hype, TSCC needs to stand on its own.
The numbers have simply been very poor on Monday nights and now on Fridays. Something seriously must be wrong with the direction the show, it is not connecting with the viewing audience.
put it on after Idol vs. that gawd awful restaurant chef show. It would tear up the ratings.
I just rewatched the 3rd part of the wonder con vid on this site and when summer was asked about the season finaly and cameron she looked real sad and said there had better be a season 3 which doesnt sound good for my fav. terminator.
@Notty22
“To the few constipated trolls who feel the need to interject their unique kind of hate to the show/JF everyone and everything except Summer/Cameron”
What an example you set, constipated trolls?? Forget to take your “forbearance” meds?
And then there were two(plus their pet robot of course)
Speechless.
STANDING IN A CEMETARY
J.C “Everyone dies for me - right?”
D.R. speechless
Talk about dark foreshadowing. And I didn’t see it coming. Derek was a great character. Cut down in his prime. Many unanswered questions. Just like real life.
What was the movie showing in the theater? Were the characters trying to escape from someone? More foreshadow? For next week perhaps? The terminator in the crowd, wouldn’t he have been there for Savannah - not Sarah at all?
When Ellison speaks to the detective and he tells him he would think the same thing if their roles were reversed - would he? Is he ‘trusting’ his instincts? Mine were screaming at me when he and Weaver were alone in the elevator. I think the cop did his job and followed his instincts(and Ellison) to that moviehouse.
Excellent work. Just outstanding.
A.I. Bach
The terminator that Cameron tossed down the hill didn’t die. She just was content that he was out of the way and wasn’t going to loose time chasing after him. We saw him later in the crowd when Sarah was arrested.
Tastes great / less filling? - I went to a terminator blog and a miller beer commercial broke out!!!
I wonder why that Terminator didn’t kill Savannah right there, he had a good chance.
Too many cops. With guns. He’ll wait. And follow.
Wow…just wow…for the first time in S2 I had this really intense “season 1 - feeling”. S2 was great..but it was different from S1..nevertheless, this episode really hurts…Derek’s death and especially the last scene..I had tears in my eyes and I could not remember the last time I had some. Maybe it is a shame for a guy, but T:SCC touches me! Really really….REALLY great work guys.
I hope, that T:SCC gets not terminated…*prayin’*
Why, o why, fox? Derek? Derek, of all the people? I loved that character! When they showed that little box with his remains being buried, I cried. It almost seems as if the story is winding down, as if the writers are not expecting a third season. Please say it isn’t so!
It isn’t so.
Josh burned the frackin’ barn down just like he said he would! Awesome! I can’t stop watching this episode. So much goodness!
Looking back at the archives, the posting activity has been huge lately, even if some are multi-posts, that has to say something about the interest in this show even if the numbers don’t. The Alison from Palmdale ep was great when it came out, but I was surprised it only had 12 posts.
I’m wondering how much of JF’s promises have happened and what is left to happen in the finale episode.
HAPPENED
?the resolution of the Riley story
?the resolution of the Jesse story
?a future story about Jesse?s Terminator?piloted nuclear submarine
?the death of a loved one (Riley)
?the death of a loved one (Charlie)
?the death of a loved one (Derek)
HAPPENED, KINDA HAPPENED AND MIGHT STILL HAPPEN
?the return of Cameron?s glitch in new and deadly ways
?Jameron
?Savannah in mortal danger (Savannah isn’t quite out of danger yet, that T888 is still about)
?a deadly attack on the Connors by agents of Skynet (I’m assuming this ain’t over yet)
STILL TO HAPPEN
?an explanation of the three-dots
?Catherine Weaver?s backstory/origin story (I suppose this depends on whether you believe Weaver was the future T1000 on Today is the Day pt.2)
?the revelation of Catherine Weaver?s exact mission
?a fight between Catherine Weaver and another Terminator (Cameron, JH or the water cooler T-888?)
?a faceoff between Sarah Connor and Catherine Weaver
Plus we have Cameron shooting up a jail cell (from the Trailer) and the “most complicated, dangerous and largest stunt/effects sequence in the 31 episodes of this show” to come (For some reason, I remember reading this is a helicopter stunt but I can’t find a reference to it… am I going crazy here?)
Is it Friday yet? lol
Woah! It was so ehh, no word for it! I loved it! That show is one of my favorites LOVED IT!
R.I.P. Derek Reese, you were dearly loved and will be deeply missed. The Reese Brothers, together at last.
Unfortunately I knew he was going. In “The Good Wound”, Kyle said about Derek that “he’s out of his time” to which Sarah said “we all are”. And then there’s Jessi, whether he killed her or not, she went from his life for good and before he met her in the future, back when he had just lost Kyle in “Alpine Fields”, Jessi said to Derek that he was ready to go. And John confronted Jessi, he said: “You and I, we are all he has” so with Jessi gone and Sarah not trusting Derek with John, he had no one. All these ominous signs, I worried for him that he was ready to go that there were “Complications” like he had said.
And now I shudder to think what will happen next because so many other things were put into motion and what will be the consequences of all these turning wheels. Cameron for one, the explosive she put in her chip, where will that lead cause they hardly do anything on this show without a reason and second, finale is called “Born to Run” so John is gonna run again??? Alone??? or will Cameron and Sarah still be with him???
I looked at the ending spoiler clip again to see which scenes from it have already happened to get more info about the ones that are to come in the finale and there’s this one where there’s a Sarah and Weaver face-to-face which means that they’ll find a way to bust her out of jail. All that time she spent in that institution, it would be the most tortorous thing to do to her to leaver her in there till the next season which after all these amazing episodes has to come that is to say if there is any sense of fairness or direction left in this world.
And oh I hate you Ellison, I truly do. Cameron should have killed him. Listen to Cam people, Cam is always right (well er… almost always)
Please. I need a season 3. I heard that Warner brothers has already torn down the set and it is a done deal that Friday is the last episode.
OOH!!! I MISSED THE FIRST 10 MINUTES HOW DID DEREK DIE?? NOOO!!!!!
I cannot belive they arrested Sarah! (I thought she would get away for a minute lol)
And I love Ellison, I really do, but after what John said…I give him 3-4 eps in season 3.
GREAT EPISODE.
And yes I agree, there have for quite some time been clear hints that not all the machines in the future agree with the way things are done, the way humanity is handled. It’s like with Nazi Germany, not everyone agreed with the way Hitler ran the show but it didn’t either mean that the faction opposing Hitler from within didn’t want war, they just wanted it all handled a different way. So for what it’s worth, I haven’t thought the worst of Weaver yet but doesn’t mean she gets the green light either. She has her own agenda for sure and it isn’t all human-friendly cause she said to JH that humans will disappoint you. And there are all other fishy things she gets up to. At least she didn’t go all crazy-blood-thirsty on the mention of Sarah like she did when she went and blew up the warehouse.
And in case it’s not letting on, all this rambling, it means one thing and one thing alone: that this show, it inspires ergo the rambling.
And yes, I also think that she might be the same liquid metal as the one on board the Jimmy Carter.
And about the whole time travel paradox that if Derek is dead, he won’t be in the future, he will be still be in the future and so will Kyle because the Reese brothers that are going to be in the future currently are young boys, the ones that John and Derek saw playing ball. He came back to the past so the past became his future and he died in the past which had become his future in short, the past is his future.
I’m gonna go dig a hole for myself now, Derek’s death is having a toll on me.
And please let Jessi be the one who betrayed him and Riley the one who left him. No more death, is it not enough already??? take Derek’s blood and call it enough, let it be enough.
And for those of you keeping score at home…
Still no real answers on the Dungeon from Season 1!
Draaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaw things out much?
LOL!
Saw it on Hulu.com and then saw it again on Fox.com.
And if anyone from Fox is reading these…
EVERY show on TV was down last night. EVERY SHOW!! Are you network bosses going to cancel everything on Friday because of that too? Hmm…? Hmm…?
And one thing that did hurt us for this Friday’s episode… “To The Lighthouse.” I was kind of a slump in the build up going on. It pulled things down a bit, and maybe that affected the ratings for this week even though this was a much better episode than the last one overall.
I want a 3 season
I love FOX so much
It’ll happen dont worry
You’ll see. I’ll show ya
Gilligan, little buddy!!!
Where have you been?! Were you and Mary Ann and the Professor conspiring to keep us all on the island again?
You red shirted devil, you!
It’s probably a week early for this posting, but I have too many thoughts going thru my mind after last night’s terrific show. I think it’s obvious that all the cast and staff expects next week to be the end of the series. They tied up so many loose ends last night and in next week’s preview, you really could not write a third season.
All the male characters are dead except John and Ellison (bet he’s gone next week). Derek and Charlie dead.
Most of the female characters are dead or at least going. Riley is dead, Jesse is dead or at least gone, Cameron will likely betray John; so she will be gone. Sarah may have cancer and was apparently going to pass John off to Charlie, so she is gone.
The only folks left are John and Weaver. We know John will go on to lead the resistance, but they could only tell that story on the big screen, not on a weekly TV show. Weaver as a good guy wont happen; she is too advanced. What is exciting about a T-1000 cyborg that may be indestructable beating the crap out of T-100’s, T-600’s, and T-800’s on a weekly basis. She would be too dominant to have a compelling story.
J-Day is in 2011.
Anybody think that the Mayor of L.A. should be played by Adam West? It worked for “Family Guy,” so why not “Terminator?”
—
Sarah Connor: Mayor! We’ve got to get you out of here! Your life is in mortal danger!!
Mayor West [dramatically holding out his hand]: Just a moment, concerned citizen Connor! I need to finish my taffy. And oooohh, how I love my taffy! [takes a bite, rolls his eyes back, and savors the orgasmic raspberry flavor] Mmmm… mmm… mmmmmm…..!
Cameron: I think we should just shoot him.
Mayor West: Ohh… taffy!
Sarah: For once I’m in complete agreement.
nutty22:
We do like this show. In fact we love it. It was that perfect season one formula that got us hooked and when we came back for more it wasn’t there. Those of you who insist on encouraging the crew to continue down this desolate road with no viewers are the the ones who hate the show because you encourage self-destructive behaviour. The winning formula is obvious and there is empirical data to back it up. Stop enabling poor performance.
Just picked up a little nugget after rewatching the show. The detective says that the Weaver house was a real mess with 4 security agents downed. That means that the T-888 saw some reason to get himself back up the hill and start wasting security guards…why? He could safely assume Savannah was long gone, so why return to the house? Interesting loose thread…but then again, there seems to be a lot of those lately.
SPOILERS:
If you watch the teaser for next week closely you can see John is reunited with Sarah, Sarah ends up in a church somehow, Weaver’s office ’splodes, the water-man is back, and Ellison is conspicuously absent.
LOOSE THREADS:
Felt compelled to rewatch some scenes from last week and confirmed there was no terminator involved with abducting Derek. What’s more, there were 2 guys in the truck…one got wasted by Cam, but the younger guy drove away. When we get to the warehouse it’s an older skinny dude that shocks Cam…and the young guy is nowhere to be seen. So, there’s quite a cadre of these guys wandering around it would seem, yet they choose to leave one skinny dude by himself with a terminator….and it would appear that they have their own terminator mascot as well, so why not have him on hand for back-up at least? And if you’ve already got a perfectly good terminator…why are you scrounging for parts from Cameron? Sorry to ramble.
Yeah, Al. B. Bach,
There are some unanswered questions (some possible story glitches as you pointed out), many more than are answered thus far.
Maybe in Season 3, if we get there, they’ll finally talk about all the loose threads from just Season 1.
You may think I’m being funny here, but I’m quite serious.
Nobody has mentioned the strange thing about Cameron saying that talking to her is the same as talking to John Conner and then John Henry saying that humans are flawed because there is no way to download humans when they die.
I think that is really something to think about. Noone sees John Conner in the future. Maybe he is dead and Cameron is him, or acting in his stead.
Shocking. Derek’s dead was shocking. At first I felt quite disturbed, but almost immediately I understood. His dead was absurd and unfair. The way most of people get killed in a war, it is also absurd and unfair.
Thanks BAG! And good luck in your new project!!
Mackenzie Smith is a brilliant little actress, she’s got such a great potential!! And speaking of potential, John’s character development is impressive, Thomas Dekker doesn’t stop surprising me with his great acting.
Loved the intensity of the dramatic turn in the music when Savannah tells John about JH and Ellison, and the way John told Sarah and Cameron about it later.
The huge quality of the performances in this show fits perfectly with the greatness of the writing [congratulations to Tony Graphia for another PERFECT episode and, once again, thank you so much Josh, the actors and everyone who makes this awesome show possible]
The first shot at the cemetary with Lena was superb and the ending built an extraordinary sense of closing by showing Derek’s grave… And John Henry with Savannah, singing the Scottish song her father used to sing for her. The whole ending sequence was awesome. Poetic.
The dialogs were fascinating and so revealing. The one between John and Cameron, showing she was aware of Sarah’s motivations. Summer Glau’s scenes are breathtaking, every single one of them, every single word and expression is perfect. She’s beyond brilliant. Beyond fantastic.
John Henry and Ellison. John Henry and Weaver. The way JH seems to experience an existencial dilemma and some kind of “identity crisis”, since he found out he has a “brother” and also due to the problematic consideration of braking the [supposedly unquestionable] rules he’s been taught when extreme circumstances required it.
That kind of paradoxes might be pretty dangerous - speaking of a potentially unstable AI. Especially if Weaver succeeded in making JH believe that he’s neither Abel nor Cain in this story but God. He and Weaver might be the perfect circumstantial allies for the Connors against this common enemy (Cyberdine derived AI - JH’s “brother”), but once the menace is gone, will they still be “friends”??
I mean, “the enemy of my enemy is my friend”, but what happens when the enemy is gone?
JH seemed pretty interested in Cameron, I wonder what the writers have prepared for us…
Can’t wait to see the rescue scene!! Can’t wait for Josh’s finale!!! And, definitely, I just can’t wait till May for another glorious season to be announced!!!!
fwiw, I understand the writers don’t have time to address every loose thread…I’m just hoping there exists a backstory that makes them all make sense within the writer’s guidebook. Not picking the plot apart…I’m honestly trying to sort out what are important details to keep track of vs. fluff I can let fall out of my feeble brain.
…and speaking of fluff…are we ever gonna know who wrote the stuff on the wall, and where the hell they ended up? I mean, you see that much blood and one would expect to find someone slumped in a corner someplace, right? Unless! Unless it was a TERMINATOR that wrote on the wall!! Ahaaa!! Now I gotta go find a shot of the wall and see if the writing looks distressed. Anybody remember??
If it was a Terminator…who? Can’t be a liquid metal…so that eliminates Weaver and her posse. Could have been CAM pulling an R2-D2 moment and spewing a bunch of information that was preprogrammed into her such that she writes it unconsiously - whatever that would be in Terminator terms. I kinda like that angle. Makes sense cause she could have been in the garage working on something and then BEEP she drops into SAFE MODE. OR…oh…oh!! OR!!! She blips into Alison mode and Alison comes up with the idea of writing in blood cause she’s working so hard to control Cameron’s actions she just cuts her finger deep and starts writing! That could also explain if the writing looked a bit off. I don’t anticipate terminators are programmed for penmanship in the first place, and if Alison was new at manipulating the endo that would account for some pretty sloppy graffiti.
…last thought (well, for now). Does Cameron remember being Alison for the day or so she was out of it in 2009? Does she essentially have multiple personalties, each unaware of the other? I don’t think there’s been any reference of Alison by either her or John since “the incident”. Did John even tell anyone about it? So many loose threads….owwwch.
This song just popped into my head, so bear with me!
The Atlanta Rhythm Section: “So In To You” (from John to Cameron… the moment he first saw her in the classroom in New Mexico… and you know he was thinking this, and probably still is…
):

“When you walked into the room
There was voodoo in the vibes
I was captured by your style,
But I could not catch your eyes
Now, I stand here helplessly
Hoping you’ll get into me…”
forgot.
The eel story…very cool. Post Jimmy Carter skuttle scene CW’s affinity and respect for the eel becomes clear. That whole scene with the detective and the aquarium seemed a bit jammed into place, though. Eels eating other eels. Does that mean liquids consuming other liquids, or does it mean machines consuming other machines? Liquids taking down their makers?
@Al,
Terminators fighting and “consuming” each other. This not just a war about human vs. machines or machines vs. humans…
It’s humans vs. machines vs. machines.
With some humans and some machines trying to find some common purpose… I think…
Al B. Bach,
I think in season 2 ep 2 the guy that crashes in the doorwall and tells Sarah / Derek, Greenway two days is the guy were to believe wrote the blood wall.
Is Weaver’s statement to Ellison that J.H. is important in regard to both he and Savannah’s survival, because J.H. stops Judgement Day from happening? Interesting stuff.
I don’t think stopping J Day is in the cards, but if JH can escape Skynet he will become the head of the machine resistance and a powerful ally in the war against Skynet.
@Robert
Hey thanks! Somehow I missed the first act of that ep. Catching up now.
Well, this show only had 2 interesting characters - Cameron and Derek. Everybody else on the show is boring. And since they just killed Derek (in a really pathetic fashion) we can all pretty much forget about season 3. This show is now officially DONE.
Hey everyone, just thought I’d share the fact that the “Save SCC” petition thats out is currently up to 10,852 signatures! Be sure to sign it, if you haven’t yet!

best one of the season
The show is about; first and foremost John Connor, without him the show is unneeded, only one other character is non expendable and that would be Sarah since the show is named after her. But, the shows center is John, and Sarah’s battle at keeping him alive and focused on what is at hand. The other cast is expendable. All of them. In my opinion it would be sad if Cameron, or Ellison, or Weaver or John Henry were killed/destroyed but as long as the core of John/Sarah is there, the limits of what can be done with the show is endless. Also, to all those bashing Dereks “lame” or “stupid” death, the cast is at war, and war is not glorious and it’s not fair or predictable and of all the people who fight in war and “plan” to be a hero, only a small few become that. Most don’t go out in an “epic blaze of glory.” Many get shot while just standing there or blown up when going to pray at a foreign church or even while sleeping. Derek’s death is perfect due to it’s lack of epicness, it works because that is REALLY the way it happens, not in a Bonnie and Clyde/Thelma and Louise way, but in a quick blink and you miss it kinda way. His death as it is, is the ONLY way; in my opinion; that it should have been.
That’s right about the wall, and that was a great looking opening scene in Automatic for the People, with the resistance fighter coming out of the time bubble being shot just as he left the future. It looked fantastic!
Callie,
I signed, oh yes, I signed.
———-
John [seriously, to Cam]: I have a vital mission for you of utmost importance.
Cameron: Name it.
John {grasping her hands in his, and peering gravely into her eyes]: The fate of the very world rests in these hands. These lovely hands of yours.
Cameron: I’m… honored.
John: This mission is called a… [trying to keep a straight face] Beer Run.
Cameron cocks her head as if the phrase is foreign to her. John explains, in great detail, what is required. Cameron walks off, and an hour later returns and holds out a card to John.
John [taking a look at the fake ID, and then looks again, and scratches his head]: You’re not serious. Wait, Cam, this is just…
Cameron [with a small smirk]: You are “McLovin.”
John: Ha. Ha. Very funny. We’ve got a comedian here!
Cameron: “The fate of the world,” John?
John: That’s it! I’m re-scrambling the HBO! Your movie privileges are hereby revoked!
Cameron: Somebody forgot to take his Metamucil today… cranky pants.
In a word :
simply GREAT !
So much thing happened this episode…i have to realize them !
it’s too late here !
great, great show !! Great episode….RIP Derek, you were a strong warrior. But what a a sad scene in the end…my god…
And now? Last episode i guees there is going to be a Cameron_shotgun_equipped show…
SEASON 3 PLEASE!
Paul Anderson, that Sounds fair.
For some insane reason I hope the show gets lucky and gets a season 3.
I could always use a little more Lena and Summer.
Problem I see even if terminator 4 is amazing and new interest comes around.
The movie looks more action packed than 1, 2, and 3 together.
So if some of the new fans come running here they will get a melodramatic yawn.
They will not find the action they are looking for. Not even a metal skeleton.
But I’ll put on my Jessie hat and “keep hope alive”.
That’s Jackson not Jacobson.
Although I did like Jacobson’s exit, much better final treatment than Derrick, Good God!!
Derricks exit, what a waste of a solider and great character. Riley went out 10 times more like a sci-fi hero than he did, RILEY! If BAG was to expensive you recast like Bond, total waste.
I guess with Uncle Derrick dead and ER being canceled we can look forward to John Stamos popping up as uncle Jessie. Sarah’s Half brother. The half brother the family never talked about.
But Mr. Anderson, yes, I’ll Keep hope alive. Keep hope alive.
Lastly, “Florence Bartley”.
My two recaptcha words I had to type to post this, I just like the sound.
here’s my wild speculation:
The show has to be canceled. I love it, but it has to be. Because at some point John has to step out on his own- and it ceases to be a show about his mother. At that point, there is no more Sarah Connor Chronicles- there’s the John Connor Chronicles. Or whatever. So even if its canceled- I think it will be replaced with another show.
Also, the show has been clearly used to gain energy for the upcoming movie. With the movie on the way, the energy will need to be generated for the next movie. Whereas the first terminator series focused a lot on Sarah- the new series focuses on John. Name change.
Killing Derek in this way was brilliant. Killing Derek at all was horribly sad- but also I think- inevitable.
As for Weaver- I’m loving that plotline. It’s beautifully vague as to whether she’s a force for “good” or “evil”. She seems more interested in simply letting John Henry become himself. And John Henry seems to be turning into a fairly decent being- albeit a darker one now that he’s encountered the possibility of his own death.
But his “brother”? The original code running rampant throughout the internet? Now that sounds like a malevolent being. I know that the series is largely ignoring Terminator 4- however- in Terminator 4 the skynet code was embedded in everyones home computers via internet connections. Sounds like a worm to me…
And by “terminator 4″ I meant to say “terminator 3, rise of the machines”
Interesting theory about the name change Jack. It makes sense. It would be great if it played out that way.
@Jack Knight,
Please don’t mention “Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines” in my presence again. Thank you.
LOL!!
I applaud the crew for having the balls to kill Derek the way they did. I had to do a double take and rewind my dvr to see it again because it was so quick. Yeah he was loved and no one saw it coming. Having him buried in the unmarked grave where Kyle is was a nice touch. and Derek can always be in ‘flashbacks’ to the future.
Someone said:
“Killing Derek in this way was brilliant.”
Yeah brilliant, as appose to stretching his death out to a bloody sorrowful 3 or 4 episode back story. Something that would have had people saying how can he possible get out of this, he can’t.
Would have possibly gain some interest, some entertainment news. Something besides a pointless kill before the season finally.
Yes brilliant, play nice says skynet, what the hell!
Lets center a show around the character that even the loveable fan boys who say the show can do no wrong sometimes call a whiner. Brilliant again, I would suppose?
Maybe Kelsey grammar as future john.
I should go back to the library with my doughnuts.
venez an.
Terminator 3, Terminator 3, and Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines.
Nick Stahl and Claire Danes Rocked!!
Kristanna Loken can try to terminate me any time.
Leeling When says ReCaptcha.
Rename the show from TSCC to something else. Interesting. But I do like TSCC…I’ve grown fond of those 4 little letters in that order.
Al B. Bach your list of unanswered questions is just as long as mine.
At the rate were going we need a Season 3, 4, 5…well you get the idea.
Why did Sarah run out of the movie thereafter so fast? She didn’t react to the undercover cop, have a gun with her which is odd? Did she know the cops were coming?
Did the detective bug Ellison’s phone because the guy says Sarah Connor’s name on the cell phone.
Also why would the terminator Cameron tossed over the hill go back and kill security guards when his target wasn’t there?
FYI FOX had a T4/TSCC commercial going today. That’s the first time I have ever seen TSCC advertised almost a week before the ep airs.
And if FOX does drop this show I do hope the WB keeps TSCC going maybe with someone like Direct TV who has started to present TSCC…Kind of like what they did with ‘Friday night lights‘. And they did have those T2 ads a while back!! You can drop Direct TV a nice note at:
http://www.directv.com/DTVAPP/global/contentPageIFnorail.jsp?assetId=P4960010#h:1112.482
Come on season 3…somewhere.
Holy crapsticks, Jack Knight just might be right.
Even if we do not say that movie’s name, ever. Ahem.
Friday can’t be the end! It’s just getting REALLY INTERESTING. D: I’m completely psyched for John being away from his mother for the first time. Oh, the potential for the character development! Ack!
Donavan,
His death wasn’t pointless, he died a quick and abrupt death, as people often do in war. None of the glamorized, teary, drawn out, slow-mo death. They’re fighting a war against Skynet and he was a soldier, like he said, they all die for John. Yes, I’m sad to see him go but it was an appropriate and well done death.
If DirecTV sponsors Season 3, I’ll switch. Promise.
Derek is dead? Are you serious? I am trying to stay interested in this show and you kill off one of the best characters and without so much as a fight?! He just went down! Even stupid Reily went out kicking! And she was a secondary character with zero personality. I swear, if Cameron doesn’t start kicking ass and John doesn’t stop being such a whiney pussy, I am done with this show!
I was thinking today about why there’s no word on the renewal. I can buy the justification that they’re just being respectfully quiet and letting the season have it’s final moments before making the decision public. Makes sense.
What also makes sense, unfortunately, is that Josh has known all along that there would never be more than 2 seasons. The movie franchise doesn’t want to have to compete or concern itself with “silly TV” plot lines. This was always to be a self-contained “bubble” that leaves the timeline of John & Sarah in tact such that the movie producers could drop the TV series from the canon entirely with no impact to the main character arcs. As some have said, this was just an experiment in publicity for the new feature. A really expensive promotional campaign. And this also explains the 11th hour killing spree that the writers are on…they’ve got to tie down the loose ends by season’s end. That was the deal in order to get the TV show greenlit.
The problem is; it wasn’t supposed to be very good. And it most certainly wasn’t supposed to yield any franchise-calibre characters. Now the producers have a problem. If they ignore TSCC going forward they could suffer a fan backlash that would be front page news alongside any positive promotional campaigns they might run for T4-6. And from a purely greed standpoint, they see $$ in a Cameron-centered blockbuster vehicle. You’d have to be a moron not to recognize the feature potential for the Cameron character (and the whole TSCC storyline, really).
Halcyon knows that the Nielson numbers are meaningless and that the actual audience for TSCC is significant…if not huge. Though the fans may have not shown up to watch the show in realtime on Fox, they will definitely show up a the theaters with Jacksons in hand ready to see Summer twitching and glitching in 40 ft tall closeups. Ignoring that revenue potential is just bad business.
So, what’s a production company and network to do? The show isn’t commercially viable for TV, but the fan base is a monster. Hopefully they’ll conclude that it’s in their interest to subsidize the show long enough to carry the fan base until WB can get a feature script greenlit and into production. Halcyon/WB can then turn out Terminator and TSCC features in alternating year summer blockbusters and wind up doubling their Terminator franchise revenue.
Everybody wins.
Ok only got halfway through the entire thread, so if someone else finally put this together I apologize and kudos to you for putting it together. With what is revealed in the T4 trailer and the way TSCC is going with the “brothers” aspect it seems that there are now 2 versions of Skynet, JH and “brother”. JC in the T4 trailer reveals that he is not sure that he can win this war…”something has changed”, and JH says that the Human brain is the most marvelous computer ever, but is flawed, it has no way to download itself once it dies. My theory: JH defeats the “old” Skynet starts capturing people to experiment on them to “upgrade” the human design to create a hybrid between man and machine. Perhaps JH doesn’t defeat Skynet but exists in tandem and to the Resistance they are both metal and it seems they are the same faction and not really 2 factions. Either way it’s interesting.
And go season 3 please!
For the record, I love Lena Heady in her role. She alone in a scene fills it with all the intensity that’s suiting to a fight to save humanity. Take her out and you’ve emptied the show of any substance.
Not that I want to denigrate any of the other actors: TD is doing great as an evolving teen but he still has to toughen somewhat and loose some milk fat before I feel that I would follow him; SG is a heck of an actress which is making us believe that she is a terminator while her physique makes her and ideal Tweety bird (bubbly upper head, larger than life eyes, pouty lips, large jaw…).
@Al B. Bach
That would be, “a 50 ft Cameron.” The film playing in the theatre was Nathan Juran’s 1958 film, “Attack of the 50 Foot Woman.”
When the Japanese start mass-producing sex robots in 2018, they will look just like Summer Glau.
WOW. Fantastic episode! I did a double take when Derek died. It happened so quick I couldn’t process it in time. Usually in most TV and film, deaths are so obviously telegraphed. Isn’t this more deaths than Josh promised us!?
Savanna is so cute! A good little actress as well. Her and John Henry’s scenes were great. I haven’t been able to get “Donald, Where’s Your Trousers” out of my head! Such a powerful ending.
The only disappointment was that I’m still unclear of Weavers motives. If she was Skynet then surely the very mention of Sarah Connor would have caused her to start terminating.
If Fox cancel the show it will be a great shame. Another Firefly…
After watching both episodes a second time I finally figured it out so if you don’t want to see a spoiler stop reading now.
In “To The Lighthouse” JH describes the attack on his system as someone building a backdoor and then unleashing a worm into the entire world intelligence network - or something like that.
HOWEVER
This isn’t the first time we heard the “back door” concept this season. If you recall the Charley Fisher episode where Derek and Jesse interrogate the guy the machines sent back from the future, the leader of the Greys? At the end of the episode we see him accessing a mainframe and then Homeland Security (I think) questioning young Charley Fisher why it was so advanced that even they, the top computer guys, couldn’t disable it.
Skynet, the machines, sent Fisher back in time to open this door so they could find this other John Henry. My guess is that its another terminator that’s orchestrating it. When one of those delivery guys went to take Cameron’s chip out (after she had been electrocuted) he asked the guy giving him instructions and upon receiving the answer the delivery guy asked, “Your brother?”
It’s not John Henry, it’s not Weaver, now more than ever it seems like there are two different factions at work. Weaver, until the release of the preview for next week’s episode, has never shown a hint of interest in meeting John. There’s a chance she may be one of those factions that wants “peace.”
Only time will tell.
I love you Summer!
I have not missed an episode. I do not watch television often however I have loved this show. I was not impressed with Derek’s death. Even fictional warriors deserve to die a good death. I have never been a SiFi fan till now and it looks like i am going to have to find a new hobby. I watch other shows on the fox network only because of Sara Conner Chronicles. If this show ends I will not watch or purchase fox products.
Good call, Innocent. That’s exactly right. It’s probably how the producers feel too. That’s a funny description of Summer but it’s true. She’s quite unique. Wonderful actress too.
Be wary of the benevolent Weaver concept; a separate machine faction competing against Skynet.
The intelligence that IS Skynet could easily develop a two-pronged attack against mankind; one of brute strength and another of deception and infiltration, the ultimate good-cop, bad-cop routine.
Derek never trusted the metal. He warned all of us. Will we listen?
Hang in there baby!
To show proof of his allegiance to the machines, John Henry may have to kill Savanah.
Like Warner bros worried about smallville before Superman Returns came out, Next.
I wrote a letter to Direct TV:
“Dear Mr. ***,
Thanks for writing. I understand how important this programming is to you. Be assured that I have forwarded your request to DIRECTV management.

We can save the show!
Anony, Kid if the show had high ratings or even halfway decent ratings what you wrote might make an ounce of sense. I knew someone would write something like “he died a quick and abrupt death, as people often do in war.”
But the shows rating sucks Cromartie’s metal dead eggs! You don’t waste characters like that when you need to get you ratings up.
If I want war reality I wouldn’t be watching a show about a mother and a son who time traveled in order to jump over the mothers death. They were able to time travel because some hot sweet sexy fembot cyborg babe constructed a time machine. Yes all great moments of reality, now that I think about it, I think I do remember a similar time travel scene in schindler’s list. Anony, you may have a point?
Or the writers on this show are not the greatest. Like in episode one they have Cromarte’s naked metal head travel through time. An impossibility as it was stated in the first movie.
So I say with that kind of lazy writing from the get-go they showed their character to the sci fi fans that tuned in and that’s why the shows ratings drop tremendously and that is reality and that their “he died a quick and abrupt death, as people often do in war.”
But hey, your right it wasn’t pointless it was “beyond pointless!”
ago complain
I just gotta say Lena was freakin awesome in this episode!! Loved the way Sarah “punch slugged” the cop in the face.
To Josh, producers and writers of TSCC, I’ve always enjoyed and love your vision for the show. Thank you for resurrecting Sarah Connor. For what it’s worth, I am one very satisfied fan! Looking forward to the season finale. And Lena, you’re super at kicking ass!
I will miss Derek. Unbelievable!
@Donovan, the head wasn’t naked, it had flesh on it which was torn off when it came through
@Innocent,
You just described Summer Glau as “Tweetie BIrd??!!
In John Connor’s baby-fat voice [lunges]: “I’m going to kill you!!”
LOL!
In the chaos of losing Derek and Sarah’s arrest, the interrupted conversation between John and Cameron about his mother losing weight passes almost unnoticed. The abilities Cameron demonstrated with the librarian in “Self-Made Man” should have detected the reality of Sarah’s condition even with the false alarm of the implanted locator. Cancer is a much tougher arrest to escape.
Derek died, like Riley, for keeping too many secrets from the family. Charley was a noble sacrifice. How can a series that centers on the aftermath of Judgment Day avoid biblical references? Come on…Judgment is what this series has consistently been focused on. Who will live and who deserves to die? In his final four seconds Derek’s dream of setting everything right died with him as he joined that nameless multitude who died for John Connor, who died for hope.
Hey, friends and neighbors!
It’s the phrase that’s sweeping the nation! Try it out in all social situations!
Kindergartner [to her teacher]: “Homework… on the weekend?! I’m going to kill you!”
New York City Cop [to his mob emissary] “Waddaya mean, there’s no payola for da job, Tommy? I’m gonna kills ya!”
Potential fiancee to her boyfriend [staring at the ring in the box]: “I put up with your sorry ass for 5 years, and you give me this as a token of your love??!! I’m going to kill you!!”
Josh to the Fox executives in the board room: “Your canceling my show?!! I’m going to kill you!!!”
LOL!!
Oh and the RCN thingie says: “from Hitchock.” It lost a “c” in there somewhere, but close enough!
Al B.
You are absolutely correct. The character that Summer has given us is far too big to be ignored. (For all of you butt kissers out there I know JF had the concept of Cameron but SG brought her to life and made us love her.) I don’t think the public would accept any other actress but her. She is as synonymous with the role as Arnie was to the original Terminator. I hope they have the business sense to keep Cameron alive in TV or in film.
Donovan: Can’t say it any better. Kepp it up.
Oops! Edit time! “You’re” rather than “your.”
@Pate:
Cameron is not a Ho-Bot!
“Ho-bot??!!!”
“Tweetie Bird??!!”
Dan’s gettin’ upset! Hold me back, Snake! Hold me back! Or so help me, there’ll be a rumble in the jungle tonight!
Derek’s death a lazy cop-out? The slow motion, multiple bullet hits and dramatic music such as Sgt Elias’ death in Platoon would be WAY to obvious, and overdone. Way too many times.
They did Derek’s well, and it was characters around him that portrayed the impact of the death.
Toni Graphia’s take on Derek’s death in her episode:
“….the most realistic and therefore the most gut-wrenching and sad in its shocking simplicity. Yes, it’s different than how deaths of main characters are usually portrayed, but to the credit of the Fox execs, they trust Josh’s strong vision for the show and it has helped make Sarah Connor a unique experience.”
And there you go.
No Dan, Go get em.
Tweety bird!!!!…………You bad Ol’ putty tat. LOL!!!!!!
Summer is indeed beautiful but that was a pretty good description. Innocent called it right. lol
Ever see “Office Space?”
Now, this is what happens to so-called “fans” who dis on Summer Glau and Cameron:

Oh, there’ll be some gansta-sh#t goin’ down, my Jameronite brothas and sistas!!”
Dan, you might have to wait until next season for the Jameron moments. JC will inactivate Cameron this Friday, and her future will be left hanging.
Any holiday gag props from the propsmaster this time around? I was thinking like a Cameron bird watching guide, or chocolate Cameron’s…..yummy!!!!!!!
Hey guyz, just 2 questions:
-why does John should “deactivate” Cameron at this point? I guess they will go to the prison to get Sarah, in the trailer there are images about that (Cam shoots to the guards), then they will go to weaver…maybe Sarah is already in Weaver’s hand, but i don’t believe so !
-One leave, one betray….who ?? Cam “leave” (she will be shut down) and Sarah betray…but how?
I loved these last espisode…so sad, so shockin…really terminator style.
No merchy, and the death count is going higher.
There were 3 “death of a loved one”. We saw two of them right now.
The third is…Ellison? Sarah? Cameron?
But, if Cameron will die, the show will end definitively !
Damn, i’m waitin for Final episode !!!
greetings
Riley, Jesse, Derek.
Maybe not Riley… she was a “good person,” but loved? Naaaa! LOL!
Man, you writers love your killing sprees!
Why don’t we call the show “Faces Of Death: Terminator Edition.” You know, the video store rentals that are wrapped in a brown paper bag that are stocked in the far corner of the store, or hard to find on Netflix.
We do need a little more “upbeat” and tenderness from time to time, jeez! We do know what “upbeat” means don’t we?
Unless… Jesse was not killed by Derek.
I mean… it’s probably Charley rather than Jesse on that list, come to think of it.
mmh…
i prefer Charley, Derek and….next one ?!?
Riley was a loved one? But she was not a member of Connor’s “club”…
Jesse was out of game, playing in background….
Derek’s death was a rock punch to hearth. Like a true war. In a moment, you’re down.
Proverbial storm’s a coming
The fits gonna hit the shan!
Is Terminator/Salvation supposed to dovetail off the story line of T/SCC, or is it stand-alone?
Doesn’t seem like Warner TV would set up Warner big-screen with a series that ends almost two months before the other opens.
If there’s really no bait-and-switch going on at Warner, then they can end the series any way they want with no fallout at the movie.
Yes…no?
After watching again, again, it hit me, Sarah didn’t even give Derek the respect Jessi gave Queeg in closing his eyes. I know there wasn’t much time, but same was true with Jessi abandoning ship.
And if the song wasn’t stuck in my head enough, recaptcha says, “I’m trouser”
Oops, in Queeg’s case it would be eye.
TSCC was supposed to be a separate timeline. Take it from T2 and go from there.
The cancer thing was a T3 homage… which I wish Josh had stayed away from, even with his unfortunate personal situation.
If you want to give Sarah a heroes send off… have her die for something rather than just die of cancer.
Don’t give her a Derek death… give her a chance to do some real good.
I always, and probably always will, think the best way is for Sarah to lay down her life for a most unexpected character:
Cameron.
Cameron gets to live on because Sarah valued her.
How f’n cool would that be?
Dan,
“I always, and probably always will, think the best way is for Sarah to lay down her life for a most unexpected character:”
Cameron.
I find that a “very effective strategy.”
Sarah dead: not cool at all… but it is bound to happen. A fate that she made a long time ago. Had she really the intention to leave with Charlie, like Cameron pretends? Not that she really could…
Something intrigues me about Weaver: what was her expression when she was finally holding S. in her arms again: was it fear? And how to interpret her smile at the duet, moreover the fact that she had a long look at S., a glance at JH and back at S. for some more… eye candy?
John P. is going to feel nothing but scorn for me for that one.
I hope Cameron does not break Sarah out of jail next week. Sarah makes too many mistakes and bad decisions. Better for the mission if she stays behind bars.
Besides, Sarah doesn’t even like Cameron.
okay, i am on the opinion that the “death of 3 loved ones” is focused on loved ones of John, who though the show is named after Sarah; is the main focus. His survival and his choices are ALL that matter, let’s not forget he is THE most important character. So that would mean that Riley (1), Charlie (2) and Derek (3) are the 3 that JF was talking about.
I agree iruj. It’s all a matter of whose perspective you use to define loved one.
This show must be renewed. Are you reading this, Fox? Absolutely my favorite show. At first it was hard to adjust to a Terminator show that’s not as much about action as the movies, but the emotional payoff has been much greater. The characters seem so real, and for a show with killer robots that’s saying something! I’m so glad I stuck with it. Fox should stick with it too!
Grasssping at sssstawzzz are we Ssssssnake?
One other observation: in Weaver’s garage, Cam pushes Sarah out of the line of fire proving that, in her judgment, Sarah is still very important for the mission.
i agree with u innocent that; yes sarah is still important, but her mission is non existent without John. EVERYTHING stands on his shoulders and on his survival. If he dies, there is no point any anything.
Granted that.
I bet that her dying will be the last push that’ll make John a man.
…dieing…
The color of her hair may very well change when she’s busted out of jail though.
that is the one thing that NEEDS to happen for him to become the leader he’s destine to become. as long as she is alive and able, she will in her own way try and “save” him from anything that comes their way. when she dies he will have no choice. her job is to simply make him understand that that is his only choice in the end, and that he must become who he’s meant to be, and not to run away or turn from that.
Look I am mid 30’s. I have NEVER watch any TV show that ever made me want to go out of my way to write in via (mail when I was younger )or blog/email or post anything before. But this series is hands down the best show I have had the pleasure of enjoying. I am not a big Terminator fan before this. But this show is so well written/acted/directed/filmed( yes even filmed) that it actually has me pissed when it is over. I am anxiously awaiting the next episode from the time the last flashes its credits on the screen.
Fox has a wonderful history of getting rid of decent shows for some strange reason. That is another reason I am also writing. In hopes of making sure this show continues on and the same way it is going now. You would be the BIGGEST IDIOTS to not let this show keep going till it is run into the ground. Till John Connors is so old it is unfeesable (spelling wrong probably) that it is before D-day/dooms day.
Ok I could rant on forever but I preety much said my peace. Any of you that write for the show or direct it or act it or even film it… are ever in St Louis get in touch will buy you a fine dinner. To show my appreciation.
Not grasping Innocent, it just makes sense to me that the term loved one was used in relation to JC. It could go either way though.
Just coming on here to voice my appreciation for the series. I pretty much gave up on it during the Sarah arch but now I’m back in full force. Bravo on the series and though it seems unlikely, I really hope a 3rd season miraculously happens.
Such an amazing episode (it had everything one could wish for: action, plot twists, conflicts…)! Can’t wait for the season finale!
Why is everybody whining about Derek being killed off like that? Last week everyone was upset about the terminators’ inaptitude at hitting any moving target. Now you finally get a perfect head-shot by a T and again you are crying about it. Can’t you people never be satisfied?
Oh and one more thing: In one very long post in March (or February) Josh Friedman wrote that by the end of the season three “loved ones” would have died. Well, we got Riley, Derek and Charley. So it looks as if we are not to expect any more deaths of major characters in the finale.
I think that we should say that Derek isn’t dead, but FUTURE Derek is dead. Present Derek is still alive and he is playing baseball somewhere in L.A. with is brother.
And so Jessi and Riley. They aren’t both probably born yet.
Bye. Daryl.
Hey, Illinois Slim, this show has a way of doing that to people. Most here agree with you and write to show their appreciation for good television. It’s an amazing show. Unfortunately good television doesn’t always result in high viewer numbers. Sometimes it does, sometimes no.
Hopefully FOX will give it more time.
People DO get it though, just like you. An editor from the I09 Sci-fi web site wrote this, they cover all kinds of sci-fi stuff for fans:
“I’ve been a huge fan of T:SCC since its beginnings, but last night’s episode felt like a whole new level. It was the first time I really thought this show might go down in history as one of the best science fiction shows of all time. We’re approaching Battlestar Galactica/The Prisoner levels of greatness.”
But they worry about the viewer numbers also. Not totally optimistic from that angle. We’ll see what happens.
This is my favorite show, it would be a shame for it to be canceled.
I’m sure someone else has brought this up already; but if Fox doesn’t renew it, can’t it be taken to another network? The show is owned by Warner Bros. right?
I’m so with you Remington, that has happened many a time, with SG-1, Buffy, Tru Calling and Firefly (in the form of Serenity). Since no actually T.V. station owns TTSCC, I think it is prudent that if cancelled someone with half a brain should be smart and pick it up. Looking at CW as a main contender. Their HIGH viewer numbers are between 3 and 6 million, so the roughly 4 million viewers pulled in by TTSCC would give them the numbers they look for to keep a show on air. And seriously, if TTSCC is canceled that would give CW a good chance at getting another “smart” show in their line up. With Smallville getting redundant, and Supernatural on the cusp of finishing it’s run (yes, Kripke, Ackles and Padalecki have all stated they are DONE after season 5) they could use another scifi, action show on air. I’m still hoping that Fox will stop being morons and see that the show is VERY well done and has a very loyal fan base, and give it a 3rd season. But with their track record I’m afraid that after friday we won’t be seeing another episode on Fox. But for us fans there is still hope, and like Sarah has said many a time, you have to keep hope, even miniscule hope.
Here’s my theory. Weaver is a “good guy”. in the future, the machines split into two factions, one with the liquid terminators like Weaver and another one. That would explain the previous “will you join us?” offer from future john. Also, weaver did not seem two concerned about finding john. this makes me think that she doesnt care if he lives or not. also that comment about john henry needing to be alive in order for savannah to live. this kinda hints that john henry is not skynet, but his brother is, and john henry is the skynet equivalent of the opposite machine faction.
‘O BAG, why hast thou forsaken me?’
Rest in Peace Derek.
This was a wonderful episode guys. I do not think you needed to kill his character, but if he had other obligations I understand. I’m looking forward to the finale next week.
I’m not sure where Donald’s trousers are, but mine are in the wash after that episode!
Well done!
I believe that Cameron called the cops on Sarah. It makes perfect sense. Sarah could be seen as a threat to John’s survival after she intended to take him from Derek (*sniff*) and Cameron. It makes more sense than if Ellison or Weaver did it.
This Friday’s episode will be awesome and it will NOT be the last one.
@Charlie,
If Cam called the cops, then why is she busting her out?
The detective put two and two together and had Ellison tailed.
I think the cop was suspicious of Ellison and he was too stupid to realize that he was under surveillance.
If the cop had Ellison tailed, I’m puzzled that the cops seemed to know they were there for Sarah Connor, and the waterboy terminator was there also? Any thoughts? more unsecured connections?
Wasn’t that the same cop that questioned Ellison on that murder by the look alike? The one Weaver imitated to get the witness to look nuts on the video? The cop followed Ellison.
Robert, they couldn’t keep the surveillance tapes from the home a secret. The security co. probably had copies that the police would certainly have access to. After finding out Ellison was hiding the info they tailed him. There was also the earlier meeting with Cam and Sarah that might have been spied on by the police. At that point they could put it all together. Just a thought.
Here is a transcription of the chat session between Savanah and Jonh Henry (during the classroom scene):
SAVANNAHW: We’re learning new words
JOHNHENRY1: Words are fun. I know 228,132.
SAVANNAHW: It’s boring, I wish it was lunch.
JOHNHENRY1: Why don’t you make a pizza?
SAVANNAHW: LOL. I can’t make a pizza!
JOHNHENRY1: Why not?
SAVANNAHW: Becaus (interrupted by the teacher)
Astonishing episode. Fabulous!
Season 2 doesn’t stop getting better.
Thanks Etienne. I couldn’t pause my tape at a good time to read the exchange.
As for who called the cops I doubt it was Cameron. Either the cop following them tapped Ellison’s phone and heard Sarah’s full name…or Sarah had some inclining and was rushing out of the movie theater. This explains why she doesn’t have a gun with her (I mean she goes to the doctor with one but leaves it at home to go to a movie) or why she does not peg the undercover cop!
Also what movie were they watching in the theater?
Attack of the 50 Foot Woman.
Girl power to the extreme.
A classic schlock B-movie from the Atomic Age.

Overall I really did like this episode. I don’t think that Derek would have actually been killed like that, but, I hope something more comes of that from the writers. I agree with some other that he had been through too much and see too many things to get popped just like any other average Joe off the street. By an apparent run of the mill t-888. I too am confused about the cops only getting Sarah - some how are JC and Cam not on the police wanted list? I noticed the t-888 with the cops so he obviously played a role. It will be interesting to see where this goes…it looks like cam is working to bust out Sarah in the previews of Born to Run. Also, it shows Sarah in the elevator with John and Ellison at Zeira corp so she must get out early in the episode.
I still want to get some more answers to the HK’s being made in the present time. How do they get back here and who are they for? Maybe I missed that part some where along the line. I also think it is really interesting that CW appears to be ‘growing’ John Henry to combat Skynet from the beginning and give the machine faction another edge in the future. If John Henry could explain to Sarah about his brother and all that has happened I wonder what her response would be.
Interesting stuff so I can’t wait to see where this goes! WE NEED A SEASON 3!!!!! Bring it on FOX!
Derek lives!!!!!
