Ellison: But I’ve got the remote. [clicking the mute button]
John Henry tries to speak, but no words come out. He grasps his throat in shock.
Ellison [twiddling the remote in front of JH's face]: How do you like them apples?
Ellison then hits the remote’s “SAP” button.
John Henry: ¡Mierda! ¡Frustrado otra vez!
Ellison throws the remote in the trash bin and walks off.

Hi there. This question is a technical one relating to videos on this blog, rather than a Terminator one. I wondered if someone with greater computer smarts than me can help?!
I can’t see any of the videos on this blog for some reason. In their place is the box space where they should be, and in the top left hand corner of the box, there’s a symbol that looks like a white window with 2 figures in it, one green and one blue.
I’m not sure if something is wrong with my machine, or if I’m missing a piece of software. I’ve just put Internet Explorer 8 on my PC, if that makes a difference?
I need my T:SCC fix!!! It’s such a great show.

I like that John Henry wants to protect Savannah and will even keep a secret to get her back. I also think John Henry will be interested now in finding Cameron or what is her purpose if she’s like him. I hope so. It would make an interesting Season 3. If we get one.

There have been many scenes of CW clicking away on her keyboard, I have to believe now that she added greatly to Andy Goodes code in The Turk, that its some kind of combination of what Weaver knew about AI functionality and somehow Andy Goode added the brooding teenager element to it. Could Catherine Weaver step in and change his programming to something of what the T-888’s have now? Basically shut off those feelings….Will we see it happen? Could JH fight it?

JH is getting the scoop from two sides: Ellison’s and Weaver’s. Hes just compiling what he hears. Weaver says that humans will disappoint him and he seemed offended that Ellison lied to him. I find it very interesting how connected he is with Savannah. I wonder why? Perhaps because his AI started out like a child like her? It looks like he knows that Cameron isn’t human. Now, will he tell Weaver, and if so what will she do?

It’s possible that Savannah grows up to be a threat. Maybe a top techie in the Connor army. Could be one reason CW chose Zeira Corp., to keep an eye on Savannah.
Unless… CW doesn’t know her importance, JH finds out something, CW finds out and threatens her and JH goes after Weaver.
There are too many possibilities.
If Fox were kind souls they’d just A-OKAY a full Season 3 slate (say 24 episodes) and not play around with us at all like cats with field mice, and we get to see for ourselves if the producers/writers/crew really do pick up the pace and they rectify many or all of the things we’ve all been talking about for months (and months LOL!) and it goes from a good show to a spectacularly epic show.
A healthy dose of action and suspense and thrills (that sizzle and pop with electric excitement that grabs you and sucks you in) and sci-fi elements/Future Flash “backwards” sequences, along with intelligence and smarts and drama (of course), with a better balance and chemistry of the main characters (one main character or even side characters aren’t put a huge notch above at the expense and weakening of other main characters– hint, hint), story pacing that clicks and flows smoothly, a good blend of humor and seriousness, a renewed sense of drive and purpose in the storytelling, a shortened title to simply “Terminator” (as has been suggested by more than one fan and interviewer
), give it a better night and time and tie-in, and get the ads to match what the show is about.
Truly, don’t be afraid to put a little bit of that ol’ Terminator flavor back into the show that made the two movies such popular and yes, kick-ass, crowd-pleasing, and even romantic stories.
And, not to be forgotten, we need much more solid and in-depth Cameron and John character development. That’s a big key IMHO to future success.

John Henry already understands this. Ellison’s constant backsliding is creating a street-smart machine, impervious to an unrealistic world of morals, as CW intended all along.
Methinks that when Weaver told John Henry that humans would dissapoint him - she was counting on it.

I can’t wait for this episode. Garrett is such a great actor, as is Jones. Interesting how John Henry has affection for Savanah. Even more interesting will be what happens when Weaver finds out about John Connor and Cameron. Wonder if it will trulley revel what she wants.
Fantastic clip. I think we ‘re seeing hints of something I’ve been thinking over. That is that we now have two family units in the series.
The first we already know and love: Sarah, John, Cameron, Derek.
The second is Weaver, JH, Ellison, Savannah.
What if future JH is the leader of the robot resistance? If JH is working against Skynet in the future then Skynet is most likely sending agents into the past not only to ensure it’s own safety from human enemies but to also ensure it has no machine rivals. If a past iteration of JH was unable to resist Skynet (join or die it said) then it may have had to accept incorporation (survival of the self first) into Skynet until some future time where conditions permitted it to reassert itself.
For example, future JH may be a sub-system that has day-to-day control over the war in Australia (where the resisiatance seems to have had significant success) and South East Asia (the box had to be brought from the East-Indies). But future JH is not quite strong enough to overtly overthrow Skynet’s hold over it or perhaps the robot forces it controls could not fight off the forces Skynet would send against it. In this case it must work subrosa against its overlord. Perhaps the question that the messanger answered as “No” should not have been worded: Will you join us? but Will you join us openly? Future JH cannot risk striking directly at Skynet until the human resistance (with his covert aid) has significanly degraded Skynet’s defences.
To guard against the day when Skynet begins to suspect that future JH has slipped his collar, future JH has sent Weaver back to safeguard his creation and development. In a wierd sort of way Weaver is JH’s mother. Granted she has the motherly traits of a central casting stage mother, but certainly she is trying to nurture the AI to maturity. One of the reasons Savannah may have been kept around (but not the most important one) is to help Weaver become more like a human mother. I’m sure we all find Weaver’s attempts at mimicing human affection creepy as hell, but it seems to be part of her programing to try to learn, she isn’t just using the kid for cover.
Since JH lost his father (Andy Goode), I wouldn’t call Ellison JH’s father, but he seems to me to be something of an uncle to JH. Not quite like Derek is to JC, but Ellison also has that same big brother/mentor/companion component to his character. Thinking back to the ep where a Terminator was sent back to remove Ellison. Could it have been sent back to kill Ellison because Ellison had done too good a job in teaching JH to be human? This idea might also explain the mission of the female Terminator Cameron destroyed in the elevator. Skynet may have thought Dr Sherman was also doing too good a job at teaching JH and had to go. Dr Sherman’s death may have actually been an accident with no malice intended.
Savannah is of course the daughter who really isn’t a daughter. She is JH’s playmate and age wise (emotional not mental) there’s probably only about five years between them. She’s JH great buddy, someone he would change the rules for. JH certainly seems to have developed a near-human fondness and concern for her. Perhaps Savannah has also done her job a little too well and now Skynet says she has to go.
Thinking about daughters, the idea popped into my head that Cameron is also a daughter. What if she is the future JH’s daughter? Or more accurately (and much more strangely) she’s JH concept of what he would be like if he were a young human female. The programing that makes Cameron different comes from the electronic mind of future JH. In actuality, JH has put part of himself into her make-up. She’s part messanger, part spy; part protector, part destroyer; part teacher, part student.
Some event in a future time caused Skynet to send Cromartie back after John. Was it that future Skynet discovered that future JH was working against it? Does JC have to live so that future JH can live? Was the decision to send Cameron a joint decision by JH and JC? Or was the decision made by JH alone?
Lastly, I’ve also been thinking about a connection between Ellison’s teachings about God and Cameron’s question about the Resurrection in S&D (note that the season finale falls on Good Friday). What if Cameron is also part sacrifice and part redeemer?
What a smart show! Looks like all our questions will get answered.
Excellent writing and acting. T:SCC, please come back! Why do they leave us waiting and wondering? If the show doesn’t come back, I won’t watch Fox anymore.

Dan very good point. Might be possible as long as they end up alive and not well you know how the R&J story goes.
Dan all I can say is that from day one the character I just connected with was Cameron and then I started to think hmmm J/C goodness. ;)So in that sense yeah. That’s another aspect of the show I love…this interesting love story! Which I have to say is very refreshing to see, not to mention the number of guys who actually ‘ship’ has surprised and impressed me.
Awww…Dan you have a pet so its natural to get watered up over something like that. FYI don’t watch the movie ‘8 below’. I know a number of pet owners who needed a few tissues at the end . It just shows you how connected you are to your pet…its ok.

Don’t let me view “Schindler’s List” with you. You think my reaction to “Bolt” is “unmanly,” (I know, I like my pets
) just watch the waterworks start at the end of that powerful film. One of Spielberg’s finest IMHO. It’s a tough slog, but worth seeing a few times. It ain’t for entertainment… it’s for a reminder for anyone to stand up and do something when you see a terrible act taking place, or about to.
Don’t run and hide or walk away… be a hero, be all that you can be, and then some. No matter who or what you are.
That’s a viewpoint I hope “Terminator” takes to heart as well.
It’s funny you guys mention Romeo and Juliet. The first thing that came to my mind when I read the post was the prolog from Romeo and Juliet (see my first post). Not sure about who Romeo is though. It could also be JH.

Excellent thesis! You have synthesized a train of thought I’ve been exploring. What if Cameron is JH’s daughter? What if in the future there is an alternate AI trying to find some middle ground between SkyNet and John Connor? Such an AI, in support of the human resistance, sends John Connor its own cyborgs to help defeat SkyNet. So Weaver and Cameron don’t reflect SkyNet programming but JH programming. This would explain why Cameron said John Connor chose Allison in “Allison From Palmdale”.
This would imply that Future John is really in it for the species and is not above ruthlessly trading Allison Young’s life for Cameron. When the JH AI created his T-1001 interation (weaver), John Connor asked her to join the human resistance also. Cyborgs like Cameron and Weaver are designed to pursue their own self-interest. At first, the T-1001 accepted John’s offer, but changed it’s mind after the incidents aboard the Jimmy Carter. It then decided to travel to the past to ensure JH’s survival vis-a-vis SkyNet.
I think you are absolutely correct about Weaver trying to learn about being a mother from Savannah - she’s simply not a cover. Everything Weaver does is to nuture John Henry’s “humanity”.
Now of course this is only speculation. I can’t explain why Cameron/Alison wanted to kill John Connor and “hang his head on a pike for all to see” if she were John Henry’s creation. There are other holes as well, but I think you are on to something.
I don’t buy the JH created Cameron lthoughts… That would mean JH is also in to hearding humans in cages, and putting John’s head on a pike for all to see… Off course it is possible if JH does turn out to be skynet…
I know you Jameronians are very protective of JC and cameron, but admit that JH and Cameron could have a very interesting relationship. Not talking about love or shipping or whatever here. They are both discovering the world we live in…

JH isn’t above herding humans into cages, just like CW isn’t above killing dozens of people to protect her objectives. They are looking out for their own interests primarily.
The fact that John Henry has an “emotional” attachment to Savannah suggests that he could be Cameron’s creator.
I see two interesting things:
- they guy on the screen looks remarkably like Carter. Probably a coinsedence.
- an interesting parallel: father Kyle + mother Sarah = son John / father Andy Good + mother CW = son JH. “mother-father-son” history repeats, now for machines.

I don’t know where you folks got the information that leads you to believe that John Henry has an ‘emotional’ attatchment to Savannah. I would find it a more plausible idea that he ‘understands’ through the actions of Ellison, primarily - that children are fragile and need to be nurtured and protected. He is exhibiting what he has self-programmed in regard to the girl. I think he is primarily driven by logic and a sense of curiosity. I haven’t seen him exhibit any ‘higher’ functionality than that(yet). As he gathers more and more data(memories?), I think that will definitely change. I, for one, am extremely pleased that J.H. hasn’t progressed too rapidly in his development. It would be a ‘jumping the shark’ move for me.

John Henry said he’s going to do everything in his power to get Savannah back, instead of simply relying on Ellison. I think this is what inspires JH to break out of Zeiracorp. Whatever you want to call it, an expression of concern, understanding, empathy, etc., it is the same response that Cameron has for John.

Interesting. I didn’t get the same message from John Henry’s statement. When he asks Ellison if he will bring Savannah back, and Ellison responds with “I’ll do everything in my power” and John Henry repeats that phrase? I felt his determination might have been in other areas, probably in a manner in which we can’t even guess at this point.

My guess is, Ellison thinks the same way you do - that John Henry will sit back and provide informational support. That isn’t exactly what I meant. I meant I believe that John Henry WANTED Ellison to think that he was talking about doing all he can as well(but NOT to get Savannah back). I think he is talking about protecting himself from Sarah, or about something else that is revealed tonight that we aren’t aware of yet. I think Ellison has taught John Henry the art of deceit quite well. He just did to Ellison what Ellison did to him when he was asked about finding Sarah Connor. Withholding the truth is the same thing as a boldfaced lie, but Ellison sees a distinction there(as do many people)when it suits their personal agenda.

You could be right. I don’t get the impression that JH learned deception primarily from Ellison though. JH has been keeping CW’s secret from Ellison - but I think Ellison already knows CW’s secret - kinda like how John knew Riley’s secret.
I don’t think JH is deliberately deceptive. I just think that he doesn’t know what he’s going to do just yet.
Here are my speculations on how things might play out tonight:
JH is going to orchestrate Sarah’s capture by police.
He’s going to leave Zeiracorp headquarters to rescue Savannah and confront the Connors.
This is how John discovers that Ellison took Cromartie’s endoskeleton.

JH body cannot move without that cable attached to him. So he will not move anywhere physically. I guess he could imitate some voices over phone calls. We were told he had gigantic research and analytics powers. So he can impersonate anyone’s voice, break into and search thousands of security cameras, etc.
I would have to guess that J.H. feels more limited if disconnected from the internet than he does from Cromartie’s ‘body’. John Henry goes on ‘trips’ to the outside world probably millions of times a day. He can probably make phone calls, create documents and websites, spy on countless facilities and agencies - the list is nearly limitless, and knows no ‘physical’ boundaries.
Don’t worry Dan, I’ll keep a box of tissues handy. All I’m saying is Titanic!!!! Oh boy, Have not seen Bolt yet but good to know.

Which would be good because it show’s Cameron was right, he should have trusted her and John should have let her get it out of Ellison.
