Since you’re playing nice today, we thought we’d give you a little early heads up at this week’s brand spanking new episode, Adam Raised a Cain! Who coordinated the simultaneous attack on the Connors and what do they want? Who or what is John Henry’s “brother”? And what is Weaver’s deal? Only two episodes remain this season

  1. Little Savanah is a marked Girl = LOOKS AWESOME
What happens to Cameron this week?
Thanks for the clip , keep them coming.

  2. Oh gawd, all the threads are coming together - the Connors and Weaver inevitably about to meet - I can’t stand the wait until Friday! :)

  3. Friday is gonna rock! *crosses fingers for ratings to go up* I’ll be extra nice if it means another clip ^_^

  4. Man I can’t wait for Friday. We’ll get another episode of Sarah. I’ll bet she’ll be mad at Cameron again, we can never get enough of that.

Notty, I think I spotted Cameron way off in the background. Do I win anything for spotting her?

Too awesome Josh, Thanks for everything you do in supplying more and more Sarah. We know we can’t get enough. The show is perfect.

  5. invisiblepenguin

Are the attackers getting info from JH’s brother?
“Where’d you get this diagram?” “From your brother? Ya don’t say…”
When JH was attacked, the screen displayed savannah’s picture…
    Can’t wait for Friday!

  6. Man I cant wait long live TSCC

  7. Skynet/ReCaptcha says: destined there

Destined to be there? You know it!

There’s gold at the end of the rainbow folks. This arc is coming to it’s conclusion. I love the smell of denoument in the morning!

  8. Looks awesome. Can’t wait I just adore this show.

  9. Uh-oh. Snake’s been replaced with a Bloginator.

  10. That really is strange, in emotional moments Cameron doesn’t stand with the PACK, she watches on.. We all know with her super hearing and super eyesight she is watching John’s face, but can’t participate. They should switch to her hud in that scene , watching them at a cemetery.

    HUD
    John Connor = Sad
    Alter Mission parameters.

  11. John and Derek… sigh. Is that my heart bleeding again?

I love my PTSD Connors and Reeses.

  12. Notty, such a scene would require taking the focus off of Sarah and we can’t do that because her name is in the title. Please think like the rest of us.

  13. Snake,

This scene was focused on John and Derek. They were the ones with, you know, actual dialogue. So… uh… are they not allowed any screentime either? Must every other character get sacrificed in the name of Cameron?

  14. You might be right, Wolfie. We’re being infiltrated. Hope I’m not next. I keep looking over my shoulder now.

Yep, threads are coming together. Only two more! Sad for those of us who like it. Relief for those who don’t.

Thanks for posting the preview, hadley. Looking forward to it as usual.

  15. Awesome how interwoven all the episodes are. That’s “tight.”

    Can’t wait for Friday.

    Or the announcement for S3!

  16. Ali,

I have seen the light. This show is about Sarah. All else is incidental. I’m just helping people get their minds right. It is the vision of the creator. We must agree. We can all think alike, yes we can.

  17. Thanks for posting Hadley. Now do you mind if I barrow Cameron’s time machine to jump to Friday, watching the ep and then back to Tuesday…!?!? Can’t hurt to ask!!!
TGIF and come on season 3!!!

  18. Ali,

That’s not accurate. You said “must every character get sacrificed in the name of Cameron?”

    Ofcourse not!

They must be sacrificed in the name of Sarah! Season 2 did that and it did it good. In most promos we see Cameron and I was mad as hell when I saw them week after week. But if you actually watch the show you come to the conclusion the sfuff you saw in the promos was every scene Cameron had in the episode.

Why did they lie to the viewer like that? I almost tuned out but then I saw the episode and there was no Cameron. Yay! More Sarah!

On a serious note, it’s good to see some of Derek and John. Both of them have been underused this season. Derek simply had no screentime and John was whiny up until 2 episodes ago.

  19. OHHH…….

it´s look like the next episode will be great…

    I love you summer……….

  20. Tim,

Sorry, I’ve never been in the “whiny John” camp - I don’t think he’s fit that description since The Demon Hand. He’s shown a lot of strength and growth this season; I really love the way he’s written and played. Sharp and compelling.

And honestly, nobody I know in real life who watches the show is bugged by the Sarah-focus. I watch T:SCC with a group of people every week and nobody’s ever complained for lack of their favorite character. Because guess what? We like all of them. :)

Also, it kind of cracks me up that there’s so much decrying of the title character this season, as last season all I would hear was “omg, too much focus on Derek and Cameron, this isn’t their show! WHERE IS SARAH?” And the writers comply, and… they get roasted for it. Go figure.

  21. I think all of the complaining about certain characters not getting enough screen time means that 1 hour a week of T:SCC isn’t enough!

    C’mon S3!!

  22. I think I’m gonna die of anticipation

  23. Can’t wait to see that!!!

P.S. Beautiful location, where it is? :)

  24. Ali,

I’ve never heard anyone complain about screentime in season 1 because as some other poster says, there was perfect balance.

About whiny John, how can you not see that! He’s been reduced to that all season. Have we watched the same show? Mommy, why couldn’t you protect me against big bad sarkissian.

    We need more Sarah.

  25. Whoa! Nice and simple how they tie it back to Savannah via the phone and Sherman.
Since last episode John seems to be able to switch from “emo” mode to “down to business” mode really quick. He’s allowing self a brief moment of humanity, then gets back to stoic seriousness.

  26. Savanah is not to be trusted. She probably IS Skynet.

  27. @Seneca

“Savanah is not to be trusted. She probably IS Skynet.”

    Are you ser?

  28. Based on this clip (thanks Hadley) me thinks that John just didn’t get in the boat, drive away and leave Charley there, because otherwise how would he be in possession of the dead guy’s phone. So many questions…

    Sigh… is it Friday yet?

  29. Spud,
    Yeah, pretty sure.

  30. He got the phone because Cameron walked up and handed it to him then Sarah told her to go away.

  31. Yes Spud Cartman says all gingers are evil and are not to be trusted.. (I hope that wasn’t too negative)

  32. Well, is this really a coincidence if John Henry had his breakdown right after she lined up three hypnotic ducklings?
I wonder how she intends to finish him off? Can she be more cruel even? Oh yes, I remember now Robert’s warning about Tickle Me Elmoes…
    Creeeeppy! Can’t wait till Friday.

  33. Tim,

Perhaps you weren’t posting on the right communities, then, because complaints about “not enough Sarah” were ubiquitous, especially on TWoP and LiveJournal.

As for John: he’s my POV character, so I’m more inclined to analyze his behavior than your average viewer, I suppose, who tends to scratch their head at John and go “dude, why isn’t he badass yet?” (I think he’s already quite badass, of course, but that’s beside the point.) He’s always been an impossibly well-adjusted kid, for the amount of pressure riding on his shoulders, and his pursuit of Riley was quite proactive, not petulant in the least, as most people tend to assume (against the evidence of the writing and Dekker’s performance - go figure).

And when it comes to Sarkissian: should he not have been upset about killing him? He was unfair to lash out at Sarah, yes, but I’d be worried if we had a John Connor who WASN’T remotely disturbed or haunted by what he did. Can it really be labeled “whining” when you’re freaking out about having killed a man with your bare hands? If so… wow.

I’d hoped that Today is the Day, Pt 2 taught people something: that there’s been more going on with John all season than has met the eye. He’s a three-dimensional character, and should be treated as such. Which everyone involved with the show has done, but sadly, not the viewers so much.

  34. I have to commend all you writers. I like how slowly but surely John is taking charge of the group but it doesn’t tear down any of the other characters.

    KUDOS!

  35. Totally agreed with Ali Kryton! John’s behavior is natural for a 16 year old kid. It’s only when his mother isn’t looking over his shoulder that he truly shines. Take a look at Goodbye To All That. He identified himself to a Terminator whose primary mission is always to kill John Connor. You can’t get more badass than that! If it were me, you’d have to drag me to that school. Lately, he’s been standing up to his mother too which is good.

  36. Taylor/Houstonschic

Oh my gosh, John grew a pair!

  37. Agreed, Ashley. Somehow people seem to miss all those moments. Amazing.

  38. Lol at not enough Sarah in season 1. That’s gotta be the most ridiculous statement I’ve heard in a long time. The only thing I heard all during season 1 was “Lena Headey ain’t no Linda Hamilton” or “Where is Arnold”. The comparison with Linda Hamilton was not fair to Lena. She does a good job with the material she gets but Linda Hamilton is not just good. She’s iconic.

This is actually the first time I’ve seen anyone post there was not enough Sarah in season1. It was perfectly balanced.

And if they did indeed post that it appears Friedman has listened to them and made his own fate.

So if we say there is not enough Cameron or Derek will he include them more in season 3? If we ever get it which I highly doubt.

  39. OMG! Little Savanah is getting caught in the middle! notty22 i luv ur idea about the HUD. “John Connor = Sad, Alter Mission Perameters” Sooooo Jameron!
which reminds me JAMERON IS FOREVER! just as SEASON 3 IS INEVITABLE! (get that through ur minds FOX network!)

  40. Friday is too far away! I’m stoked….except if little Savannah gets terminated! I am totally loving her presence in the show and how her storyline appears to be merging with the Connors. Hopefully..there is an awesome co-mingling of sides!

  41. reading some of the comments here it’s safe to say you guys just don’t get it. Everyone here keeps saying it’s perfect but outside this community everyone thinks it’s crap.

The vast majority doesn’t like the show and doesnt think it has anything to do with Terminator.

A lot of you people just don’t get that.

The people here who are criticizing it are the smart ones with their hearts in the right place. They see what the rest of the world sees and instead of leaving it to die they try to give the right suggestions. However some people here think they know what Terminator is all about and they think they’re right because the communtiy here backs them up. What they don’t know is the rest of the true Terminator fans loathe this show and wants it off the air, pronto.

Terminator is not just about drama, it’s also about action and machines. I haven’t seen enough of the latter 2. I only see Sarah talking.

  42. This looks great. I like the dynamic when the “gang” are together “doing their thing” — discussing what to do, doing it and so on. I still maintain that Dillahunt (as John Henry) is probably my favourite component of the show — however, the “Cyborg gang” are also compelling to watch. (Thinking back to Season 1, I particularly enjouyed the episode where they visited the jewel trader (/money launderer?) and such.) I get the feeling that the show is picking up now after a few episodes where it felt like “water was being treaded” at times.

  43. Really looking forward to this week and next.

Really dreading the void of no new episodes after that. And really hoping it gets renewed. This is some of the best storytelling on tv. Really.

  44. I wonder if John is going to blame Sarah for Charley’s death.

I’m not sure if that look he gave her was him upset/blaming her or them sharing a moment of loss together.

  45. They sure like to hang around such happy places… like morgues, funerals, and cemeteries.

Are they The Addams Family or the Connor Clan?

    ;)

  46. With all of the “who is getting how much air time” stuff that’s been going on here for a while, I decided to do something about it. TTSCC Characters in Scene Counts tallies the number of scenes per episode and the number of times the characters (regular and recurring) appear. Since the powers that be might be getting tired of the sniping, you can discuss it nicely over there if you want (”not nice” gets a visit from Skynet).

That out of the way…Looks like things are going to be getting really interesting over at ZieraCorp. I’ve particularly been enjoying John finding his inner Connor. Derek and Cameron, having already served with John Connor might not take much prodding to follow this one, but I wouldn’t be surprised if Sarah is a little slower to the party.

  47. He got the phone because Cameron walked up and handed it to him then Sarah told her to go away.

(LOL) you slayed me with that one brother,…. still I hope.

  48. Cameron was standing to the side of that scene. She’s there.

Oh, John growing a pair, and taking charge. That’s my boy!

  49. Yes she’s there, the camera never even focuses on her. Kind of a metaphor for s2.

  50. @JC: Really nice. Excellent work. Hope to see Derek, Catherine Weaver, Ellison and Cromartie/John Henry too in your graphic.

I knew it: Savannah has unleashed the dark powers of the ducklings… Violence will ensue.

Seriously, I appreciate the gradual changes of John personality during season 2. He now fully assume is fate and he drives the Connor clan. The age of innocence is gone and the dreams of a normal life also. He can’t have a normal life, he is John Connor: Machines are hunting him since he was even born.

  51. Yes Etienne, but that gradual and esoteric developement most like cost us a S3 and the enjoyment of any future developement. I hate to say it but it probably ends here.

  52. I’m actually not a fan of John leading the group. He’s just 16. Sarah should be leading the group. Who wants John leading his mother? As long as Sarah is alive - It’s her loop.

  53. Wow CJ that’s a lot of work. Very interesting.

  54. @Logan: John is not a kid… he was never a normal kid.

You saw the jungle scenes last week? What North American kid sleep alone in the jungle with a rifle… I don’t know any. John was raised by is mother as a warrior kid. That lead to the strange relation Sarah has with her son today. I think she realize that she can’t protect him anymore.

    John is John’s problem.

  55. EDIT: warrior kid = kid soldier

  56. I love seeing Lena Headey, she doesn’t even have to talk to make a good scene.

  57. @Logan: Then there’s the problem that Sarah often makes back strategic decisions. The series has shown that John and Cameron have the best track records, with John improving as the series has progressed.

@Schmacky: You have no idea. Still, I like to have the data from which to cull information instead of just guessing. Sometimes the facts usurp the “common knowledge” of an issue. Sometimes they reinforce them. ‘course, we must never lose sight of the wisdom of Benjamin Disraeli: “There are three kinds of lies: lies, damned lies, and statistics.”

  58. I would like to see those people try and get through Weaver if they harm Savanah. She would kill anyone who would harm her.

And Sarah got Charlie killed not John he should remember that.

  59. @Etienne - What North American kid sleeps in the jungle with a rifle? My guess: a lot, given some how many kids go hunting in the U.S.; but that’s irrelevant. I think that John should go through a learning phase, not a leadership phase. I don’t think he should go straight from emo John to alpha John. Like everyone, he should have defer to the judgement and experience of those who have been fighting this battle longer than he has been alive. Maybe Sarah has done her job raising him, but he’s got a lot to learn from Cameron and Derek, who’ve come straight from the front lines.

Even child kings don’t get to rule until they’re of age. John hasn’t proven he’s mature enough to lead yet. Just months ago he ran off to Mexico and triggered a massacre. Just month’s ago he was whining to his mom about her not protecting him. Now he gets to call the shots? What gives?

  60. Great!! :D

John is turning into a real leader. And finally they’re so close to find Zeira Corp. I wonder whether the connors will find enemies or allies there. You know, “the enemy of my enemy…” ;)

  61. @CJ - Sure Sarah made some errors, but so has John, Cameron, and Derek. I personally detest the fact that Sarah seems to crash her car everytime a hostile terminator is in the vicinity. :)

I just don’t think anyone should defer to John’s judgement just yet. He hasn’t earned the right to lead. Some may say that he doesn’t need to prove himself - he’s destined to save mankind. Well, every child needs to learn that respect is earned, not given. John shouldn’t be given a pass on this.

  62. Join the fight and participate in the “Fans of TSCC Advertisement”

I’m asking all TSCC fans to shoot a video of themselves talking about TSCC. I will then compile all the videos together in a 30 second to a minute video that showcases the TSCC fans from around the country and world. Once it is compiled and completed, I will be sending a DVD to FOX and suggest you do the same. Don’t just write FOX and Warner Bros letting them know how much you love this show, let’s allow them to SEE the fans who watch this show and let them know all the ways we’re watching. What I need is specific, so the script is as follows:

There is no fate but what we make for ourselves
    My name is [say name]
I watch Terminator the Sarah Connor Chronicles (only mention legal ways of viewing, so say either:
    a) live
    b) on DVR
    c) download from iTunes
    d) on Fox on Demand
    e) on Hulu
    f) download on Amazon
My favorite character is [name character] because [SHORT reason as to why]
I am [age] years old and am from [location]
[number] people watch Terminator the Sarah Connor Chronicles with me in my household
People are watching. They are always watching. We must take back the future.
The fight for our tomorrow starts today.

Use your video camera or borrow one from a friend. You can also use a webcam or phone camera. Export it to either a avi, mpeg, wmv or mov file with a resolution of 640X480.

Do not use youtube or any other website that plays the file via flash. I need the high-res version so send it using a free video hosting site such as megaupload.com or mediafire.com Once you’ve done that, send the link to

    aschmacky@hotmail.com

I will be intercutting all the clips to make one seamless cohesive message. If you have the means, please participate! The more people we get, the more effective it will be.

  63. I want the best for this show. Those of us that are parents know that we defend our children from criticism by outsiders, yet reserve that right for ourselves. The reason we do is because we want our children to grow up balanced and stable. Cheerleading is an awful parenting trait (and far too common in this parenting generation).

When we criticize this show it is not out of spite or narcissism, it’s because we want it to succeed. We want it to realize it’s potential.

When the writers take shortcuts, it’’s like our kids cheating on tests, or lying to us. That’s just unacceptable behavior. There’s a commitment of mutual respect. We support the show, but we expect that our support will be rewarded by a commitment from the writers to uphold the level of quality that the show has demonstrated itself to be capable of. We’re not asking it to be something it can’t be…we’re insisting that it strive to grow with each next effort. That’s all.

I don’t think any reasonable fan would argue that there’s been a significant amount of slacking on the part of the writers this season. They got an A last semester and started to believe they could just phone it in and continue their success. It’s a shock to see the D coming in from the fans.

TSCC team; listen to us. We’re trying to help.
Or, I suppose you can choose to storm off in a huff and shout that we “just don’t understand you”. What-ever!

  64. @Logan: I agree. John shouldn’t unilaterally be making the decisions just yet. I think he does need to get with the rest of the cadre and let all have a voice– meat and metal both. THEN he gets to make the decision. I’d go with John’s gut more than the others because he seems to have the “lucky” gene that allows him to survive his own ill-conceived plans.

John’s advantage at this point is that he does listen to all voices. More…he’s not willing to immediately pass judgment without having the pertinent facts. Not that he won’t if he has to, just that it’s not his first choice.

Other than Sarah’s very high insurance premiums for driving :-) I think the error that irks me is when Cameron declares that someone is lying, everyone else discounts that…and so far as I can remember, she’s never been wrong.

In general, what gets my goat the most is how little information is ever actually shared within the cadre. Sure, part of that was the creative decision to estrange the group from itself, but they’d save themselves a lot of grief if they’d be open about what they know. Honestly, if they don’t trust each other at this point, they need to just hang it up and let JH and his brother duke it out in a very real game of Risk.

  65. Love seeing John taking charge… and love it even more that they are finally on Zeiracorp’s trail! I want them to meet liquid Weaver… More machine action please! :)

  66. Edited because well no edit button but I like that you say ?Only two episodes remain this season??

I like the season part!! Let there be a season 3!!!
    Now is it Friday yet?!?!
Hmmm maybe the new slogan should be
TGIFTSCC?it sounds strange. But its so true.

And is that Cameron in the background? Well at least the ?family? is together…kind of.
Question?why is Cameron not a part of this discussion? I mean sure she has super hearing and all but still I kind of expect her to be in the discussion.
I do like that we are getting those episode connections.
Also I was wondering didn?t Cameron take the phone from the guy who tried to knock her out? Is this the phone John has? One that Cameron gave to him?

  67. Al B.,

Very well said. I think all of the criticism has been with the intent of seeing the show succeed. Here at the end of the season I think many are seeing the frustration we feel that the massage didn’t get through. The balance never returned to the show. The parenting analogy is very appropriate. I see the amazing potential in you but right now T:SCC I’m very disappointed in you. You showed a couple of sparks of life then just fell back into the malaise.

CJ, I absolutely agree with your point about communication within the team. I found myself yelling at the screen many times this season over the utter stupidity that this fractured unit was engaging in. But really, as far as who should really be leading the group at this point the choice has to be Derek and Cameron. Both are battle hardened soldiers who have experienced the fight in the future. They know the tactics and they should be teaching JC to be a future leader he must become. I got some very good advice from a former CO. He said, “Learn from the mistakes of others because when the shooting starts you won’t live long enough to make them all yourself.” Derek and Cameron know the mistakes and the success stories.

  68. Actually Kea, John says in the clip that he got the phone from the body of the guy at the lighthouse. He must have gone back after the attack. I was just making a flippant comment about Cameron bringing him the phone.

  69. Oh I know what you were getting at Snake. :) Don’t you worry about that. The cold I had didn’t knock me out…so much!!! I know what John said in the promo.
I’m just saying that if Cameron played dead in the Lighthouse ep then she must have heard/seen the guy look at his (was it a cell phone) for instructions on how to cut out her chip. I just assumed she would have taken the phone along because it contains info on T-888’s.
I mean John could have gotten another cell phone as well. I just assumed Cameron took the one from the Port as well bbecause she’s a smart cyborg. :)

  70. Who coordinated the simultaneous attack on the Connors and what do they want? Who or what is John Henry?s ?brother?? And what is Weaver?s deal?

    Well let’s see.

There’s only one common link between these guys and anything and that’s the chip they lojacked Sarah with. The guy that lojacked her worked at the warehouse owned by Zeira Corp. which is directed by Weaver. They were pretty good with surveillance in the security camera town, so they were probably keeping tabs on the family until they got the nod. Too bad Cameron couldn’t have incapcitated one of them and then interrogated him after she freed Derek.

The picture of Savannah tells me that they’re taking out assigned targets. Why would they have one of Savannah if Weaver is controlling them? For one thing kidnapping and killing Savannah would be an easy out for Weaver. If she ever were to close up shop with Zeira then the little girl would have to be terminated so Weaver could assume another person’s identity full-time. Having those guys kidnap and kill Savanah for Weaver would eliminate her as a suspect of Savanah’s death. Then fake some kind of death and Weaver and friends are no more.

John Henry’s brother? I honestly have no idea but if I were to take my best blind guess? I’d say it would be some variant of Skynet either past, present, or future. It’s the only other AI in the terminator universe that is unless John Henry is referring to himself in third person because he is Skynet and all of a sudden the most advanced computer artificial intelligence in the world has a sudden case of schizophrenia.

Weaver is either Skynet’s guardian, much in the way Cameron is with John, or she’s part of some rogue Skynet faction with their own agenda. Maybe one that believes Skynet is botching the job so they sent Weaver back through time to develop a new AI that will one day take control of America’s nuclear arsenal, trigger world war three, and declare a new war on humanity with the hopes of doing it better than Skynet did :-D

    I love you Summer!

  71. Agreed Kea, that would be the smart move. Glad you’re feeling better.

  72. @ nick85…very interesting.
@ Al B. Bach I like your parenting analysis.

@ Snake it would be a smart move. And hey its Cameron, she’s a smart cyborg.
Hey I would have grabbed the phone.
And I still say Cameron let Derek get kidnapped so she could drive the Dodge Ram all by herself. LOL!!

Thanks. :) I’m feeling better. I’m happy to be up and about again…now I just have to get rid of this wonderful cough…with time and cough drops..

  73. Kea, I think she was cruising to the library at night in the Ram. She would push it down the block so she could start it without waking anyone then she’d crank up the tunes and roll down the windows. Like you said, she’s a smart cyborg.

  74. LOL…Snake the metal picture. :) Oh boy. Now that would be funny. And don’t forget wearing her purple jacket, having her favorite gun. Cameron also has to stop by a place for some pancakes.
She truly is a smart cyborg…with a good taste in music.

Great now I’m humming the ‘born to be wild’ song.

Anyone else have a feeling the library would NOT complain if Cameron had a book over due?

While were on the subject of Cameron’s late night outs…I can understand how she can get cuts but bruises…not so much. I still don’t understand Sarah’s comments from way back when.

  75. The only thing I can think of is that Sarah thought Cameron had her own agenda that she undertook at night when everyone else was sleeping. I think she was just taking care of the business the rest of the team was slacking on while John was on growing a pair.

  76. That should say “was working on growing a pair.”

  77. …”Only two episodes remain this season…” Does it means there will be another season?
    Bye.
    Daryl

  78. @Snake: As much as I enjoy me my Cameron, I can’t see her leading the group. No matter how advanced, she still doesn’t think much beyond her experience. Derek, has a similar limitation, but it’s governed more by emotion than processing. They are both great to teach tactics (e.g. the most efficient way to kill the various terminator models); Cameron is well positioned to provide information on efficient command structure as well as insight into how machines think; Derek is best as a hands-on military instructor.

The fact is, even young John is better equipped than all of them at assessing situations and interpreting data. He just needs some experience and seasoning. Certainly being stuck in the rear of the action much of the time isn’t going to teach him the brutal realities of fighting the machines. I’m not saying that he should take needless risks, but a few more needful ones might be in order. I imagine that future-John has given Cameron some ideas about what John needs to know to be ready.

No, I haven’t mentioned Sarah. I think she’s already taught John tenacity, and from the few moves John has thrown, I’d guess she’s taught John a lot of her specialty: hand-to-hand combat. Other than that, I’m not seeing her as being key anymore. Her time as sole mentor is done. The torch needs to pass.

@nick85: I wouldn’t be totally surprised to find out that Cameron and Weaver are separately doing a similar mission together. Let’s say that it was Cameron who had wanted to enlist the T100x’s, but found that humans thwarted the plan. She goes in time to ensure a better result the second time with John. Now, let’s say that Weaver goes back in time to enhance the possibility that her faction can best Skynet without having to depend on the unreliable humans. The possibilities are fun if Weaver and Cameron meet and they understand who the other is and that they are working for a compatable goal–one that is human-tolerant and Skynet-unfriendly. I think this scenario is iffy in its chances to unfold, but it’s interesting to ponder.

  79. I’m afraid to say season 2 has disappointed the Cameron lovers who has been supporting this show fanatically from the beginning till the end. If it still going to be like this in season 3, 20 second of Cameron in each episode, I’m not sure if it worth the fight…

  80. @nick85: There is no link between the desert Warehouse and Weaver. It was own by the Caliba Group (as stated by the company emissary at the Church, he never mentionned Zeara Corp).
JH intercepted an unsecured transmission about Coltan… I think CW was aware that there was another AI before the attack. Otherwise, I don’t see why she will sent her private investigator in Town to find the HK.

May be it is more complicated than that and somebody managed to make a copy of the Turk harddrives before Catherine Weaver took her hand on it. Some Grey working from Skynet…

We’ll see. Only 2 days remaining!

  81. @nick85: Another point. The picture of Savanah come from the same source as the T888 diagram: when JH’s brother infiltrated Cromartie’s body (he saw Savanah with the T888’s eyes).

  82. Complainers and whiners: We get it. You don’t like the show. Josh gets it, the writers get it, hadley gets it, everyone gets it!

And everyone knows why you don’t like the show. Everyone!

And since you already know that, what is the real purpose of the incessant whining at this point? Just to pour more whine on the people who are watching the show? To rain on the parade?

Are you thinking about next season and want change? They already heard you. Everyone has heard you.

The vision of kids on the floor, kicking their feet and screaming when they don’t immediately get their way, is what comes to mind.

    (Respectfully)

  83. “The vision of kids on the floor, kicking their feet and screaming when they don’t immediately get their way, is what comes to mind.

    (Respectfully)”

LOL Gary! What a mental picture! ;)

  84. @Al B Bach:

The writers have been mailing it in? On what planet? In what universe? This show is remarkably well-written, with layers and layer of meaning. If anything, they should be criticized for making a show that’s been is too sophisticated to maintain the attention of the masses - for trying to hard, not for mailing it in. It appears most people would be happy to tune in if Cameron just ran around in a bikini shooting people while saying “hasta la vista, baby”. That’s really easy to do.

The hard part is to say something meaningful with every episode. To make each scene count. To portray the complexity and ambiguity that comes with being domestic terrorists on the lamb. To show that there are no easy answers with many legitimate perspectives - As John Henry said, his brother simply wants what all of us wants - to survive.

Sure, meaningful scenes with Cameron have been sparse of late, but Josh has big things in store for her if the narrative blueprint of the wizard of oz serves as a guide. In terms of character arc, Cameron’s will be have the longest gestation period.

So I don’t accept your criticism that the writers are mailing it in. Au contraire, mon frere.

  85. Annie, I try to be respectful, and that is what it reminds me of. lol

Criticizers and destroyers will say they have a right to post too, and of course they do. But they can also drive around their neighborhoods running over cats & dogs, trying to destroy pets that people love. That doesn’t mean it’s a good thing.

I guess it takes all kinds.

    (Respectfully again)

  86. And another thing - the parenting analogy is condescending. I would say that TSCC is trying to establish a partnership with fans via this blog. They are not looking for parents, which is why I have a problem with certain people who can’t seem to get that point.

  87. @Gary and @Logan: Thanks for your comments.

It’s comments like yours that kept me from running away from this blog! I don’t like the lately unstopped “whine-o-thon” and your comments are like a breeze of fresh air.

Can we just enjoy our favorite show here? Nobody knows if there will be a season 3 or not. If there is no season 3, that’s too bad. But I will have fully enjoyed the ride until the last minute!

And to paraphrase John is the last episode:

“We’re starting over. Whatever happened here is no one’s fault. Let’s get out of here.”

That should be Josh who wrote that line… may be an hidden message to the fans. :D

  88. Of the characters in T/SCC, Cameron is my favorite, but not to the point where I’d criticize the writers or lampoon other fans because Cameron doesn’t get as much face-time as I’d like. Cameron is NOT the show, nor are the people who adore her.

I don’t appreciate the caustic, Cameron-only remarks directed at production personnel and fans of the series. If they continue, I’ll stop visiting this site, and my enjoyment of the show will have been diminished.

    Just my .02 worth.

  89. @ Logan: It does not matter what Josh has in store for Cameron down the road if his actions this season cause the show to be cancelled which is almost a certainty and a damn shame.

@Gary: You are not being respectful no matter how you sign your post. You are back to name calling and were one of the instigators of the hostility by denegrating the intelligence of those who disagree with you. Maybe those of us who want to see this show be the best it can be are tired of people who continually flattering the staff and say everything is okay as we drive off the cliff. It’s remeniscent of a foolish child that thinks he’s invincible and his actions don’t matter because nothing bad can happen to him. Adulators and sychophants we get it. You love the show but not enough to address the problems so we can have another season. You are the destroyers who will put an end to T:SCC no matter what your claims are. The vision of drunken teenagers passed out at the wheel as they slam into a semi comes to mind.

    (Respectfully)

  90. CJ:
Point taken. I agree that Sarah has definitely done all she can. I think I was trying to make the point that Derek and Cameron should be taking point in the teaching role not necessarily leading the team. I can see where I wasn’t clear there. No that JC is taking responsibility for his position in life he could be the leader because he would have the good sense to listen to his advisors, Derek and Cameron. But everyone should be able to see you don’t put a lunatic, I’m sorry, I mean a “distracted” individual in charge.

  91. “You are the destroyers who will put an end to T:SCC no matter what your claims are.”

Snake - Isn’t this the kind of insulting other bloggers/production staff that Hadley was saying we all shouldn’t do? :)

    Sigh…whatever happened to ‘people matter’?

  92. I still think the naysayers should go buy that bright and shiny new boxed set of the A-Team. Plenty of whizz-banging going on!

    ReCaptchaNet says: agreement steel

See? Even the METAL agrees with me!

  93. One quick thought. If J.H. is Cain, and the ‘nameless’ AI is Abel, would that make Ellison Adam and subsequently wouldn’t W(eave)r be Eve?

  94. Snake,

Re: people who are criticizing in order to change the show. Understood (again).

My point is, they already heard you. Again and again and again.

Look at how sarcastic you were being at the top of this post. Directed at Josh yet again.

Now do you see the point? How much more do you really think is needed?

    (Respectfully)

  95. @Snake - If the show gets cancelled, so be it. Josh executed on his vision, and that’s the way the cookie crumbles. I, for one, appreciate what he’s trying to accomplish without being sycophantic. I’m not going to complain about spilled milk. If these next two episodes are the last two of the series, I will congratulate Josh on what he accomplished, and not grumble about what could have been.

  96. @Snake

I understand your perspective Snake, in the context that you fear we won’t get a third season because you believe the masses of viewers have abandoned the show because of the show’s content. I would disagree with that possibility, but I am okay with your choice to believe that. My belief(as I have stated previously) is that FOX poopcanned this show to Fridays to have just this desired effect. In my mind, the content had nothing to do with the loss in demographic. I would also debate that I don’t feel that as an act of desperation that the show be ‘dumbed-down’ to appeal to the masses. Do I like action? Sure I do, but that’s what I will be expecting from T4:TS. I don’t expect that from a TV show. I look for well-developed characters(flaws and all) and thought-provoking themes and plotlines. I would argue that this show has delivered these things and then some. Will I be disappointed if it is cancelled? Yes. Of course. But to blame the folks that do their BEST to make a quality product - no, piece of visual art? No way. I would rather they pursue their vision as an artist would, than to create a product explicitly to earn a buck. This is what has happened to the music industry IMHO. I am just thankful that a show like this even EXISTS despite the obstacles I’m sure it had to overcome to even get produced at all.

  97. We’re going to have to stop arguing again, or hadley won’t post any more previews for us. And I want this blog to keep going!

Let’s have a truce! Anyone game? Does everyone agree the writers have heard the complaints now?

  98. Snake: I respect your view. But, I don’t totally agree with it.

“Maybe those of us who want to see this show be the best it can be are tired of people who continually flattering the staff and say everything is okay as we drive off the cliff.”

Even if we wanted to stop the car, we can’t at this point. Meanly because the driver jumped off a while ago… with the driving wheel and the brake pedal!

I mean: TSCC’s production was completed weeks ago for season 2. So, no matter what we want, ask or think: there is no way back. So, enjoy the ride and pray God that our parachute opens when we go off the cliff. ;)

  99. @Gary, Snake: Please, start a blog about what you liked and don’t like about TSCC and what you hope to see in S3… Argue over there, not here. This is definitively not the place.

Let’s talk about the upcoming episode in this blog… :)

And yes, I want more previews! Please Hadley!

  100. How smart is it really to take the cellphone of the bad guys when those things can be tracked online now?

  101. Annie:

Don’t you think it is slightly hypocritical to condemn me for using the word destroyer when it was Gary using it toward me in his response to you.

“Annie, I try to be respectful, and that is what it reminds me of. lol

Criticizers and destroyers will say they have a right to post too, and of course they do. But they can also drive around their neighborhoods running over cats & dogs, trying to destroy pets that people love. That doesn’t mean it’s a good thing.

I guess it takes all kinds.”

That is part of the problem you believe you can berate others but if someone responds they are the villians.

Gary it is you who does not see the point. I was not being sarcastic. I was making a simple statement of fact. It does not matter what your plans for the future are if you destroy the instrument that you use to advance those plans in the present. Do you see the point.

    (Respectfully)

  102. You’ve got to be kidding me. I think I’m just about done with the comments on this blog when someone actually makes the statement that nobody outside of here likes the show.

…um, WHO, exactly, is living in a bubble? T:SCC is critically acclaimed all over the net. Word of mouth for the show is EXCELLENT. I think I need to make a trip over to io9 right now and indulge in their latest recap for a dose of sanity, levity, and constructive discussion because clearly, that’s become a lost cause here.

Damn, guys. Some of you are the reason I get embarrassed to call myself a sci-fi fan. I think I know what my Terminator is about, and I think other people do, too, without you having to tell them.

  103. Yes I want the previews to continue too. So I’ll uphold my end of the truce.

The whiners should know by now the writers have heard the complaints. And that was my point.

    (Respectfully)

And apologies to hadley, staff and fans.

    C’mon season 3!

  104. Gary I was writing during the time that the last several posts came in and am now just catching up. I agree, let’s just drop it.

  105. Agreed. Done.

  106. And…… getting back to the preview….

Just thinking about where Charley is buried. While it’s peaceful, doesn’t it seem a little sparse? Are there actually places in the U.S. where you can be left in eternal peace like that and not be packed in like a sardine?

Since Derek brought the wall back up, I’m still wondering how long that dying resistance guy spent writing on the wall? I mean, how long would it have taken you if you’d used paint and a brush instead of blood and your fingers? Wouldn’t it have been way more efficient to simply tell someone, in detail?

Then again, maybe the guy was afraid of running into Cameron. Some of John’s fighters seem to be having issues with her in the future.

  107. “Only two episodes remain this season…” in italics!!! This is a good hint ;)

I am sure WB, Fox and crew specially do not tells us that there will be a 3rd season :D

  108. Hey, Cameron fans, I afraid with your attitude you will make her disappear from the show. This is all you’ll get if you continue your rant. Did you ever think of such outcome of your behavior?

  109. So, let’s do our homework if we want more goodies from hadley… ;)

    1) Who coordinated the simultaneous attack on the Connors and what do they want?
It’s Cain… arhg… I mean John Henry`s brother the brain of the operation. While JH was playing with ducklings, JH’s brother was learning how to use the atomic bomb…

Who or what is John Henry’s “brother”?
John Henry’s brother is the first version of the Turk made by Andy Good. It was stolen before Sarah put Andy Good’s house in fire. (Highly speculative: I don’t remember if we actually see the Turk version 1 burn or not)

    And what is Weaver’s deal?
Will you join us? No. “No” may be meaning: “No, not now. Not in this timeline”. T1000 don’t speak much.

Only two episodes remain this season… Too few… :(

  110. @ C.J.

Maybe Jesse wrote that stuff on the wall.

  111. Does anyone think there is a AI thats actually calling the shots right now, this other entity? Would this not be like Eagle Eye? I know eventually Skynet is a AI controlled “government” but right now I find that hard to believe that it is somehow coordinating attacks on humans through orders given to 1 800 mercenaries. One would think there would have to be some evil human engineer/scientist (a gray from the future) working with the AI. Dealing with setting up eveil henchmen to do their work. Greed / money motivates lots of bad people that don’t ask questions but the situation is very confusing right now. With 2 eps to go are we going to be introduced to some human that the audience has no feelings vested in as a new bad guy?

  112. @Etienne

“John Henry’s brother is the first version of the Turk made by Andy Good. It was stolen before Sarah put Andy Good’s house in fire. (Highly speculative: I don’t remember if we actually see the Turk version 1 burn or not)”

Nice! They didn’t show The Turk burn, only Andy’s home.

A possible alternative: If Turk 1 actually did burn, wouldn’t that experience have taught Andy to “back up” his work and put it in a “safe place” when he built Turk 2.

  113. @ Wolfie

I really like that idea about Jessie and the wall. It’s plausible since we know she was already watching the Connor crew plus the wall was revealed at the end of that episode, where the fighter was during the opening if I remember right (please correct me if I’m wrong). That would give her plenty of time to write the list.

  114. @Wolfie,

You’ve been reading my spoofs! LOL!

Ellison and Weaver “getting the friction on” in the elevator, and Mr. Murch stumbling upon them? Ben Stiller, the tyrannical egomaniac, directing the episode and threatening bodily harm to children?

    Adam and Eve… indeed! :D

  115. @ Spudster

The first Turk filled his entire closet. It’s unlikely that they were able to save everything from the fire.

Also interesting that you mention backing up his files, my friend just mentioned that the other day too.

  116. This may be a futile effort, but here goes….

Season 1 did an excellent job of driving the storyline in a logical progression that revealed layers of complexity. It leveraged the most sophisticated terminator in logical and creative ways, and it balanced out the sci fi with high quality dramatic arcs.

Season 2 is littered with abandon logical plot progressions. It makes little to no use of the worlds most sophisticated walking computer, and contradicts the Terminator canon, and even itself at times.

We have all seen what this team is capable of (we’re all here because of it). I could care if Cameron gets more screen time…what I care about is that this show bound itself within the rules and logic of the Terminator universe…else it becomes cheap sci fi, which it most definitely wasn’t, but is on the verge of becoming lately.

Some examples of abandon logical plot progressions:
    1. They saw an HK rise from a swamp. They have never returned to investigate
    2. John learned that there were at least 2 people to come through time specifically to find him…how did they know where to find him? Never a question asked.
    3. Cameron comes home cut to hell from fighting…no one cares to ask why she was out or what happened?
    4. Derek never bothers to tell anyone about Fisher
    5. Sarah is kidnapped and kills her captor, yet there’s no discussion of what was found on him or in the van or what was in the warehouse

…and the list goes on. So, yes, I feel like the writer’s can do better. I look forward to seeing them step it up in season 3.

  117. Al B. Bach has a good, no great, point there.

  118. @Al B. Bach: How can you see all that stuff by viewing a 1 min. promo???

    Just kidding.

I look forward to seeing them step it up in season 3.

We are always watching. TSCC season 3 will rise of fall on Josh’s shoulders… ;)

  119. EDIT:

We are always watching. TSCC season 3 will rises or falls on Josh’s shoulders… ;)

  120. Dmitry et.al, No businessman or woman would make a business decision based on the traffic of annonymous posters to a blog. Whoever stays or goes will make their decision based on $’s.

  121. EDIT to your EDIT:

“We are always watching. TSCC: Season 3 will rise or fall on Josh’s shoulders…”

    No pressure.

    :D

  122. Thanks Dan. I speak French and I definitively have some problem with English grammar… :)

  123. @Etienne:

No problemo! I do too, and I speak English real good.

    ;)

  124. But hey, maybe they planned on revisiting some of those hanging mysteries next season. There’s not much time left in this season and we know they’re going to concentrate on revealing Weaver’s mission. We can expect the things Josh listed in his post, along with a couple surprises he wouldn’t reveal yet.

Because they haven’t answered all questions yet, doesn’t mean they don’t plan to. They might be planned for later episodes.

We’ll have to see if there is another season and then see what plots they continue. Hopefully they’re not done yet!

  125. This is a new article posted on Digg.com so people can find out about the show and watch.

    http://digg.com/television/Shocking_TSCC_excitement_to_come
    http://digg.com/television/Understanding_Terminator_Time_Paradoxes

Last week, we made several artlcles go high on their rankings, including the top ranked article in their Entertainment and TV sections. Way to go guys!

When you do go vote on Digg, also leave a comment as they rank the amount of those as well. This allows us to rank high in both their most Diggs and most comments tabs, It also shows the world TSCC fans are avid and active.

A word of caution however, Digg veterans take a dim view of noobs coming in and voting JUST for a given thing: claiming this is a “conspiracy” and unfair. Even though we are going by the rules provided, some people will hate on us and complain, and Digg may/will “bury” our articles so they no longer get a ranking. Nothing we can do about that: it is NOT our fault that TSCC is more valuable to us that TI getting thrown in jail or whatever the hell is going on on Dancing with the Stars!

To that I say SO WHAT! We have a show to try and save dammit!

So if you have videos or fan art or articles yourself please post them (all you need is your link to your fan or youtube page). Lets show the world that TSCC is a HOT commodity - the best thing not enough people are enjoying!

  126. The source of the other AI is one heck of a question. The most obvious is that it’s attached to the Kaliba group. But what is the Kaliba group? Are they a reconstructed Cyberdyne? Are they government contractors? Are they the government building on both Cyberdyne and Japanese-chess-winner computers? Are they grays (modern or future) attached to a time-traveled Skynet minion (meat or metal)?

All we know right now is that Kaliba isn’t being exactly friendly to either the Connor Cadre or the Weaver Cadre. Assuming the warehouse and the HK-prototype are directly connected to Kaliba, that means that Weaver is most definitely a foe. The AI has extensive information on Weaver, ZeiraCorp, and the John Henry/Turk/Babylon project. From the scans done when the HK surfaced, it ID’d the Connors…and if it didn’t know Cameron was metal at the time, it certainly does now.

Interesting idea: if the Connors and Weaver join forces to battle Kaliba, what would be the strongest AI they could pit against it? Yup, Cameron’s, should they think that loaning our her CPU would help the cause.

  127. @Al B.

I would like to believe that these hanging threads are going to be resolved at some point. If, on the other hand, they aren’t? Sounds like ‘real life’ to me. We deal with the stuff at the top of our lists first. Sometimes seeking answers to questions becomes secondary to daily survival.

1)My assumption would be that the HK was what Caliba was using all that Coltan for, and that it came from an underground work facility.
2)Which two people? Derek and Riley? Derek came back to kill Andy Goode. Connor sent him back to a specific time, not necessarily to find young John. And Riley/Jesse? They probably just followed Derek.
3)I believe they assume that if there had been/would be a threat to John - they rely on Cameron’s directive to protect John, and that she would tell them.
4)I think Derek kept that a secret because it would be difficult to explain without revealing Jesse’s involvement. It was a serious mistake on his part and he bears the guilt.
5)I doubt there was anything in either the warehouse or the van.

    ReCaptchaNet says: obvious twisting.

    FASCINATING…

  128. @Gary,

    I do hope so. I do…

It’s like those participles… you don’t want many of them dangling.

    That would just be unseemly.

  129. Dont’t you hate it when somebody writes what you were gonna say AS you’re writing it? It looks like you’re just repeating what somebody else has said. Oh well. Well said everybody.

  130. I don’t think the ‘brother’ AI has anything to do with the Turk I. The Cyberdyne logo points to it being from an off site backup that Dyson apparently wasn’t aware of. Skynet would have sent back agents to do whatever was needed to insure its own existence. Arranging to backup Dyson’s work before it was destroyed would have been a good first step. The common code base between the two AIs was due to Dyson being heavily influenced by the terminator tech and Goode being influenced by his mentor Dyson and his work at Cyberdyne.

  131. @CJ: Interesting.

What if CW, when she know who Cameron is, hook up Cameron’s to JH. Can you imagine the edge that JH will have on is brother by using Cameron’s chip as a secondary AI?

But, in the other hand… if Cam’s chip choose that moment to go bad… they are all screwed…

  132. @starkiller:

JH said: “We share the same code base.” Which implies that JH also use some Cyberdyne code.

  133. Couple of things to throw out here:

Wondering if the “brother” AI was spawned by letting Cameron into the traffic system in season 1? Was she just in the traffic net or did she go roaming? Wondering if she was duplicated somehow. Just a theory…

Also wondering if Cameron’s endo would look more like the terminatrix (I know they’re ignoring that one) that the male endo. If so the “brother’s” rendering showed the male version. Maybe moot since the chip is located in the same place.

Loving the paring off of Derek and Cameron. Would like to see them thrown together more… though if I were him, I’d have sent her to check out the van. Why risk it? :)

  134. Because Andy Goode worked at Cyberdyne.

  135. Anyone care to speculate on how JH’s bro unearthed schematics for a T-888 from within JH? Vick’s memories (visual anyway) were on his chip.

Another puzzler is, why did simply power cycling reset JH back to normal? It’s 2009 and I frequently have to reinstall software to irradicate sophisticated malware. Nice to know that the most sophisticated malware ever invented can be thwarted with a power cycle.

  136. I don’t think they just ‘reset’ J.H. Didn’t Murch say they purged the bad code but that they couldn’t guarantee the security if they reconnected him to the WWW? Wouldn’t Weaver have J.H’s schematics? Didn’t they repair Cromartie’s body before hooking J.H. to it? Maybe the schematics we saw were from the infiltrating A.I. and it ‘recognized’ John Henry’s physical interface as the T-888. Perhaps this other A.I. has its own ‘Eve’ or ‘Adam’. Perhaps it is being groomed by another machine, or perhaps by humans sent back through time.

  137. I think you have to remember that while thy fixed up Cromatie’s body it doesn’t have a chip in it. Its being animated by the JH AI which is still resident on the augmented Turk platfrom built by Angy Goode. JH inhabits the body through the cable attached to the back of the head. Switch off the computer (as Murch did) and the body can’t function.doesn’t have a chip. As for a schematic of the Turk hardware or program documentaton for the Turk software, Andy struck me as the kind of hardware/ software designer who’s long on genius and short on REM Statements. Remember he had to start from scratch when Turk 1 was destroyed.

  138. so I want to make a comment or two…

i havent watched the show online for a second time yet, so i dont have a lot of depth to go into.
    but,…
what was a bellweather scene for me last week?
the JH awakening. with his “My God, why hast thou forsaken me?”

i was thinking, “WOW ….WOW WOW WOW WOW!!!!”

what an allegorical reference!! what a freaking connection!!
    JH and Ellison.
the “anti JC” and the “who knows who” (JC’s father).

i was thinking, he considers Ellison as his god.
JH came back online (came back to life) and the 1st thing he said was that.
    and Ellison was there.
but then i thought about it later and guess who did the forsaking?
i cant remember his name, but it is the lead programmer guy.
it would appear that JH sees him as his god.

    who pulled the plug?
who waits on him and nurtures him?
i may be way off but i think the Programmer guy (apologies for not remembering his name) is god to JH.
i think you will see more of him,
i think he will be an intergral part of season 3.
    **fingers crossed**

i am loving these biblical references and the interweaving.

i’m sure everyone realized way back when that it was no accident that John Conner’s initials are just such.
….that Sarah is seen as Mary.
….that Kyle Reese is well….i guess JC’s father.
    the “good versus evil” theme….
how so many people “die” for JC.
and now we have Cain and Able. JH and another entity. guess what happens in that story?

kudos to the writers and staff.
this is one un-freaking-absotively-posolutely-believable killer show.

this show is SO far ahead of most of the general viewing audience.
    so complex. so amazing.
i have some gripes, but they are never about the big picture.

i dont want to sound pompous, but the people that dont “get it”, probably never will.
    **sigh**

  139. one more thing.
i posted my comments prior to reading any of the blog for the last few days.
so apologies if it has been covered.
    just my general ramblings…. again.
    =)

  140. lastly -

i dont care about an “EDIT” button.

but a “thumbs up” or thumbs down” might help people realize whether their post sux or not….

  141. Two rules this blog needs.
