kudos to you for keeping things clean…people can get out of control, in one sense it’s a good thing, i guess it shows how passionate people are about this show, of course on the other hand, it’s just plain wrong…but anyways…THANKS!
And we appreciate the blog here too, hadley. Thanks for keeping it going, and for putting up with us. Although we seem to argue a bit, for me it’s because I like the show.
I think it’s okay that people are stating their opinion but some people who are literally fighting other people’s opinions and calling them ‘bags of hammers’ or whatever need to stop insulting people.
When you state your opinion just make sure to say “in my opinion…”
don’t just state “i’m right and your wrong”

Way to go, Hadley! I’m glad. It was starting to get on my nerves. If people don’t like the show, that’s fine but when they start attacking other Chroniclers, or people who work on the show, it just makes me mad.

It’s really ashamed the forums are so misused. I’m a 42 yr old housewife who loves this series - each and every episode. I force my husband to wait until TCCC ends before we go out on Friday nights. I used to try to read some comments to see what scenes meant, but the comments people leave are so far off topic, it is a waste of time. I love what the producers leave for us, and it is very appreciated. I’d never pick up on any of those tidbits without reading it here!! Thanks!!!!

Thank you for your continued patience with this blog. Most folks appreciate the fact that their thoughts are even entertained by the production crew, much less acted upon. The few who cannot express themselves respectfully, believe it’s all about THEM. They put themselves ahead of any group discussion or reasonable discourse of ideas.
T/SCC is well conceived, cast, written and produced. It has been and will continue to be, thoroughly enjoyable; in the upper echelon of television programming. We the fans, are indebted to you for the creative effort and production skills that you have brought to bear in this fine work of art.
That the viewers find your characters lifelike enough to argue about, is proof positive that you have done a great many things extremely well.

It is very nice to have a place to discuss our favorite TV series with other fans and have a chance to communicate our appreciation (or deception sometimes) to the production team. I view that blog as a privilege and not an obligation from Fox. Remember that a privilege is granted, not given. It would be very sad if this blog is shutdown just because a few people don’t play nice…

This is a seemingly direct route to show you appreciation for the show. Its great for the fans, it became a dumping ground for some to vent their angst towards well everything. Once you’ve posted your feelings let it go, but then it became to me people hating on behalf of Summer Glau ?? Like “In the Name of Summer Glau” this was done wrong and that is so wrong. That fine actress would never have any part in that commentary.
I’m wondering if the “battle” that’s going on with bloggers is just anxiety regarding possible cancellation? Believe me, I’m anxious too, but it is time we unite. Power in numbers!!

Yeah, I think we all like to pick things apart and discuss and argue and conjecture and whatnot, but we don’t have to call each other names in the process and be mean to each other. With all this talk of the very future of the show, etc. I think it gets things more steamy hot, and that’s when we all should step back a moment and make sure we bite our tongues before we say things to each other that are regretful and hurtful.

Thanks Hadley for your reminders! Just because I saw that, I went and scanned through the comments on To The Lighthouse - eesh, people are passionate, but can sadly also be full of negativity. And unfortunately, that’s what’s been keeping me away from the blog.
Just want to say that I’ve always appreciated the blog and all you good folks who produce SCC. If there is no third season, I don’t know what I’ll be more upset about - us fans who won’t see a fantastic story continue or all the hundreds of cast/crew who won’t have jobs in the summer. Well, well, well……
I have to say that I LOVE the show and go to the message boards very often to read peoples reactions. I’ve always read but never once posted before. I was reading the boards yesterday and had to turn it off I was so dissapointed in some of the comments made.
Hopefully out of the MILLIONS of people that watch and enjoy the show, the producers, writers, actors realize that only a small majority of people actually post comments on blogs and they don’t always speak for the majority of fans out there.
It’s been a brilliant ride so farr and I look forward to it continuing!

It was me who caused a bit of a rochus yesterday. I will apologize but I will not take it back. It was me venting and I feel I had a right to do that since I bottled everything up this season. I’ve said what I needed to say and that’s it. I’m sorry if I offended anyone but if you knew what I did for the show you’d also agree I had at least the right to say my piece.
I will keep my mouth shut from now on. Again, especially to Hadley, sorry. You’re doing a great job here and it is appreciated by all of us.

I don’t see how posting the ratings for the past episode was considered offensive, or why I was censored for it. If bragging about DVR numbers is considered worthy, then so should relaying the Live ratings. The Live ratings only matter anyway.
If someone watches, biting there lip and finally a certain episode(s) causes them to write and vent, even if somewhat meandering off topic what’s the big deal? If this were a sports team, discussing which players you like or don’t like, if you don’t like the coach’s decisions, if the coach or coach’s should be fired, maybe even the owner’s don’t know how to run it, why the team does or doesn’t suck, this would all be normal conversation. Apparently tv shows are sacred, and yes I know this is not a sports team.
I am not at all suggesting people should be taking shots at others, and I did not write this to cause spite, but it seems if you don’t have all peachy keen opinions, that causes others to stir. There are things I read that I don’t agree with, but don’t call out the people that wrote it, I just move on or agree with the ones I like.

It’s easy to forget that our commonality is what brings us here - NOT our differences. It feels that desperation on our part(in regard to the possibility or not of a third season) has led us into a corner, and the not-so-prety side of the animal in us all can emerge when cornered. Don’t fret, people. There IS safety in numbers. Let us express what we feel without condemnation of those who choose to see the opposite view. This aint religion or politics. Let’s all enjoy the party every Friday together(for as long as we can).

I have to agree with Robert. I thought this was a discussion page not a mutual admiration society. If spirited discusion is off limits then maybe we should take down the Terminators and put up some Care Bears and kitty cats. By the way, just how thick is a terminators skin?

thank you. as someone who has never bothered to look at the blogs, etc., of favorite shows (and there are few favorite shows!!!), I’m relieved by your comments. When things get nasty, you wonder why you even read this stuff. Like I don’t have a million other things to do….But I love the spirited discussions, and have actually learned even more about the series because of them, but I HATE it when people are mean, disrespectful, and outright nasty to those that consistently bring us an entertaining and thought-provoking series worthy enough of discussion. There are SO FEW SERIES WHERE you can get a decent enough show to even care enough about to remember!!! Thanks for reminding people that it is a forum for discussion, not a name-calling session. It’s an intelligent series, and for the most part, there are some excellent conversation threads regarding the various episodes. The show is great!!
Good show Hadley! There is nothing wrong with posting some good AND bad feedback, but sometimes there are some remarks on this blog that are a bit too personal, bashing Josh friedman for instance. I do think all these passionate remarks come from the fact that people love this show, and don’t want it being cancelled (I know I don’t). Hopefully people will be a bit more respectful now

Others: Hadley is not saying you can’t discuss or leave comments. It’s the attacking nature that is unwanted. Calling producers “hacks” and saying people should be removed, etc. Chris even went further than that.

I went too far? Hm. Must be a different Chris. I always keep it clean. But this is the internet after all. People need to get used to all the trash and the idiots. The internet is like one big open sewer, and sometimes people dump some pretty cool things in it, but mostly crap.
This is one major reason I’ve not been around the blog. I rarely check now and all because of a lot of the negativity. A lot of us need the reminder. Thank you, Hadley.

Alan, if your DVR is doing what mine was you may as well start recording Dollhouse, and the ed of SCC will be at the start of that file.
It looks like we can’t critisize Mr Friedman because he’s doing a great job in portraying Terminator. It isn’t about machines, it’s about Sarah Connor. That is what Terminator is all about, Sarah Connor. We don’t want to see John Connor, the development of Skynet and certainly not Cameron because she is a Terminator and that is NOT what Terminator is about.
It’s about Sarah Connor being in as much scenes as possible and screw the rest.
How about in the next episode we’ll see Sarah getting her groove on and go clubbing. Yeah, we also want to see her doing groceries and solving ancient mysteries because this is about her, not Terminator.

Gary, I will be watching these last 2 episodes but they need to change the format if they wanna keep me as a viewer for season 3. But my gut tells me there won’t be a season 3. Too many viewers have already left the show due to certain topics which I cannot divulge in because no critisicm is allowed apparently.
I always keep seeing, if you don’t like it don’t watch it. It seems a lot of people took that advise. Sometimes you need to take notice of that and you’ll realize too many people don’t like it and you have to CHANGE it because the road it is on now is the road to cancellation.
Criticism makes you better, makes you wanna improve, it forces you to improve sometimes. I always thrived when people critisized me because it makes me wanna do even better. If it’s unjustified then it’s of no use but I’d say in losing 14 million viewers it’s justified.

When Josh came on here and said “I hear you” to the fans, what part of that was so hard for you to understand?
The remaining episodes were already filmed, any adjustment would come next season anyway (if there is one).
And yet people continued to come in here with rude comments, calling producers hacks, saying people need to be fired, need to apologize to actors, fans, etc.
Obviously those people are……….. well I can’t say it, because hadley is right, the personal attacks have no place here.

I am worried that the show will be cancelled. With the death of Derek I have been searching and have come up with bad news. I only that the influence of this fan base can sway the powers that be to not cancell this addicting show.
