you’re busy tonight.

Sure, tonight is the series finale of a certain other sci-fi series we love and appreciate (no spoilers for that one here please!). And hey, we’ve borrowed plenty of people from that show — Co-Executive Producer/Writer Toni Graphia, Director Michael Nankin, Stephanie “Jesse” Jacobsen, etc etc. So we can’t fault you for checking out the big Battlestar finale at 9:00PM. We will be.

And yes, tonight is also the hilarious premiere of the genius new comedy series created by dear old T:SCC friend, ex-Supervising Producer John Enbom (Heavy Metal). Tune in, but Party Down doesn’t hit the air until 10:30PM on the Starz network, so you have some time before checking that one out too.

But what do you do before both of these big TV events? How about you tune in for the live broadcast of our all-new Today is the Day - Part 2 at 8PM/7PMc on FOX? I don’t personally weigh in much on this blog, but I have to say — it is absolutely my favorite episode of the season thus far. It has a little of everything, while offering up answers to a few questions on your mind. While all of the remaining episodes are on-point, this is one that really changes the stakes. I’ve seen it six times and I’m going to watch it again live.

In case you need some reminding, check out Part 1 again first.

  1. I’ve already seen it 10 times. I guess one more couldn’t hurt.

  2. Sounds awesome. We wish you WOULD weigh in more hadely, since you’ve been right there in the mix of things. It’s fun to hear about things people like, people who have been involved with the show.

My coworkers are huge BSG fans and they’re buzzing about tonight too. But they’ll be tuning into this show also.

  3. I bet it is a good episode. I’ll watch BSG too. Cool that John Enbom has a new show, I loved Heavy Metal. I’d rather wait till tonight to see more T:SCC though, I’ve seen Today is the Day part 1 too much(kidding) Besides if I get any more exicted about tonight who knows what I’ll do.

  4. Six times?! Hadley, now I really want your job!!

  5. LOL spear401, I agree! Everyone wants to be Hadley! ;)

Can’t wait until tonight! Eee! To watch this, then BSG - I’m not gonna be able to sleep afterwards due to excitement over what I’ve just seen, I’m sure!!

  6. Seems to be a multi-squee night from all the sci-fi (or…ugh…syfy) shows tonight. Can’t hardly wait. Don’t know where I’m going to fit in the bloggin’ (oh well…who needs sleep, anyway?)

  7. I only watch two shows on television; T/SCC and Desperate. Sorry.

  8. Richard Steven Hack

Hey, was that Richard Hack referenced on the spoiler clip for tonight’s episode the writer and movie/TV critic - or was Zack trying to tell me something by having Catherine Weaver kill me?

    LOL!

    If so, thanks, Zack!

    If not, never mind!

  9. I’ll be there watching it live

  10. BSG?! Nope. Never watched it or saw it.
Its TSCC for me. The only show I watch! (With or without a fever! I hate colds!!!)

Wow Hadley I can see why you love this episode so much. It really does offer a little bit of everything. Some questions answered and even more questions pop up!!! I watched it live and 8 times on my VCR already!!!
LOL did you also watch it online and DVR it!?!?! Just checking. :)

And I agree with Gary, I would love to see you weigh in more hadely.

    Battlestar’s Ratings Blowout
Joal Ryan Joal Ryan – Sat Mar 21, 11:18 pm ET

Los Angeles (E! Online) – Goodbye, Farewell, Ka-Ching! Friday’s Battlestar Galactica two-hour series finale scored an estimated 2.4 million viewers—the show’s biggest audience in more than three years, Sci Fi Channel said today.
Compared to Battlestar’s third-season finale 100 years ago—well, March 2007—its fourth and final finale was up a whopping 56 percent.
So, Was Battlestar the Biggest Sci-Fi Friday Show Around? No. For one thing, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronciles was bigger (3.7 million, per Nielsen stats as reported by MediaWeek), and for another thing so was Dollhouse (4.1 million). Terminator was up a little from its performance last week; Dollhouse was about even.

    Yeah TSCC!!!! :)
