Did you catch Summer’s appearance as Terminator superstar Summer Glau on last night’s episode of The Big Bang Theory? We appreciate all of the awesome support and praise from the sitcom’s showrunner, Bill Prady, and company throughout the season and now they’ve really done us a solid with some good old-fashioned cross promotion.
Random Factoids: Big Bang’s set is housed right next door to our stage at Warner Bros, so Summer was never even far from home! Summer filmed the episode, The Terminator Decoupling, just three weeks ago (while also in production on our season finale).

Never watched BBT before but this was pretty good. Pity they didn’t have Summer give them a “lights behind the eyes” look, the four geeks would have had heart attacks. Maybe in another episode during TSCC’s S3. Be sure to sign up for the S2 DVD, Brian says S1 DVD sales really helped get S2 made.
I saw it. I had no idea they were right next door to you. Funny. Hope Summer had a good time over there. Looked like she did. I saw the on-set, behind-the-scenes interview which hit the internet a few days ago. It was cute.
I’m a self professed Lena geek, but I made sure to make it home in time to catch Summer on TBBT last night - what a riot! I’d never seen the show before, but Summer was too funny when she was looking so bored with the geek Howard blabbing on and on, and then with the phone pics. ‘Terminator broke my phone’ - haha! Ahh, the only thing that would have made it better would have been both Lena and Summer showing up on the train - the guys (and myself) woulda had a heart attack!

I’m from Europe so, since we don’t get these shows at the same time as you, I’m gonna have to wait a while. I’ve also never seen more than 5 minutes of any of the episodes, but you can guarantee I’m gonna watch this one (when I can).

I saw it and it was pretty funny. I just wish that they gave her more lines. And I also wish that she terminated them in their ending scene (because it’s not always real). I kind of felt bad for her when Howard was harassing her, but it was funny how confused/bored she looked. But the way she left Leonard at the end was uncharacteristic of her sweet personality.

I saw it and loved Summer in it! Way to go Summer, you were adorable! I know she doesn’t think she is funny but she is a natural, she doesn’t try hard or over do it at all and comes across as hilarious. I appreciate the croos promotion from the guys at BBT and hoped they enjoyed our lovely Summer! Two Summer nights in one week, how lucky are we??!!??
Hate the show but love Summer. I actually went through the trouble of editing out all the Summer-less parts, so I can better enjoy her presence =P

TBBT is hilarious in it’s own right. I catch it every week. However, it was a million times better with Summer. She’s just one of those people that makes everything she’s involved in that much better.
Big Bang Theory is brilliant. Been watching it from the beginning. I was so hyped up for this episode and it didn’t disappoint. “Terminator broke my phone.” - LOL. Serves him right. Ok, Howard wouldn’t be Howard if he acted differently, but good god man, that was Summer! She was great. All sweet and such with Raj, but then totally annoyed with Howard. The look on her face when Howard was telling about his weird dream… again, LOL.
I despise laugh tracks. Yeah, that’s what I want to hear every 5 seconds, studio executives deciding when it would be a good time to laugh. Ughh, and somehow this crap flies for people when shows like Terminator and Chuck are getting half the number of their viewers. It just really depresses me. Don’t even get me started on How I Met your Mother and Two and a Half Men. Seriously, I feel like drop kicking studio executives for stuff like this.
No need to badmouth Big Bang Theory… there’s room for all and it’s not like it competes with TSCC. I’ve been watching BBT since the beginning and always enjoyed it. It’s the kind of thing you can watch when you want to relax. Having Summer on there was such a thrill. It almost felt like I was on the train with her! I would probably be much like Leonard and be too afraid to talk to her, but then talk to her at the end when it’s too late.
She seems very sweet in real life so I think I would actually feel somewhat comfortable talking to her, but then she’s so beautiful that my brain would melt when I saw her. haha.
Great work Summer! I hope to continue seeing you tv (on TSSC!!!) and in movies!
Cudos to Fox and CBS for the cross promotions. BBT and TSCC were competitors on Monday and I like both, but TSCC always won out.
I agree that they should have had a fake ending where she went all bad ass on them with the “oh crap, a terminator is after me” music. And I can understand why she would cut out on Leonard…after Howard it was all she could do but run. And in real life she appreciates her fans, but you can only take sio much Howard. She even tolerated him putting his arm around her for the picture, some girls would have poked his eye out.

Summer Glau is an awesome actress ,and this is a hilarious scene! Props to you summer for getting that nomination from Saturn. I think its awesome that you can be serious as hell in TSCC at the same time you can be normal and sarcastic in BBT. I think you brilliant and can do no wrong!

Hmmm. She seems to have gotten more lines on this ep than she did all last month on her own show. And now she not even nominated for the Saturn Awards as Best supporting Actress…

I have never watched BBT, I actually liked the promo more then the episode. Loved all these little tidbits you toss our way Hadley. How long did it take to film?
I think Summer did a great job. Wish she had more lines but oh well. I loved all the TSCC comments and the little Firefly part.
I was actually waiting for someone to shout out the day and time TSCC aired. Oh well.
I’m really more into the British comedies. But I think it was a great way to promote the show, on another network. And as someone on another site pointed out to me this is not the first TSCC comment BBT has made. Good promotion.

Ok so I just finished reading a review on Summer’s guest star appearance on BBT and the dude said she couldn’t act?! HELLO!! Are you talking about the same Summer Glau here cause i think you got your smokin hot women mixed up. She was great but i think they should have played up the terminator thing a little bit more at the end.

Next thing you see is Howard soaring through air and smashing into a window while the rest of the geeks stare on in horror except for Leonard who’s grinning from ear to ear

Summer is great - comedic or dramatic. Congratulations to all of TSCC for the Saturn nominations!
That was pretty funny. They didn’t give her much participation, but she managed to do a great job with her body language.
Only an extraordinary talented actress can do so much with so little.
She’s the number one. No-one can deny that playing a human being is much easier than playing an emotionless damaged cyborg which is going through a learning process by exploring, trying to understand and even experiencing human emotions (Alison From Palmdale).
She’s been doing a fantastic job at portraying a character as complex as Cameron. She deserves to win the Saturn Award again!!
Now I know the perfect pick up line when I’ll meet Summer.
