She may only be Evil!Jesse to you guys, but around here she’s our Australian badass, Stephanie Jacobsen. Stephanie stopped by G4’s Attack of the Show to talk about all things Sarah Connor Chronicles, Aussie television habits, and Twitter (ha!).

  1. Stephanie Jacobsen AND Olivia Munn?

    SENSORY OVERLOAD!!!!

  2. SHARK EYES!

  3. Saw that last night and it’s the first time I’d seen her out of character, which is always fun. She plays the part of Jesse so well. It’s awesome.

  4. I hope John kills her soon.

  5. sorry but i HATE her character.

  6. I actually like her and her character. From the beginning she struck me as someone who is completely dedicated to the mission, whatever that might be, but not for selfish reasons. Not to mention I’m a sucker for an Aussie accent. The only female on the show I can’t stand is Riley. I can’t wait until Cam wastes her. Next week looks promising!!

  7. FINALLY something decent on this blog. Every time I come here, John Connor this or Sarah Connor that. Or the freaking metal!

  8. Lol. That’s funny, Jesse.

  9. Stephanie’s character on Razor was unlikable and Jessie is someone most would like to see killed by the teenage fembot Cameron in a horrible manner. I hope Stephanie picks up some protagonist roles soon. I am glad I saw her out of character. Stephanie is all right! (not Jessie though, arrrrg!!)

  10. first I liked the interview, steph was ok here. I liked at the end when the girl said you need to talk to your country, that was funny for 2 reason.
I dont like steph on the show , I think mainly cause of her accent, it hurts to hear her talk, some like it , but I think I would have liked jesse more if she used the american accent.
at least on this rinky dink show they ask TSCC questions, when they are on C fergeson , he doesnt even ask anything about TSCC.
so this attack of the show is better than the main talk shows.

  11. “Jesse is an antagonist.” - I like to think she’s just misunderstood. :)

I also think it is more fun to keep your enemies and for this matter, “frenemies” closer. Jesse would be awesome as a recurring character after her real motives are revealed to rest of the Connor household. That would demand some creative storytelling to solve that issue, if they don’t kill someone other first.

Because if they keep Jesse around, funny parallells with other shows “where the baddie goes good” comes to mind. For instance, storywise, couldn’t Jesse be seen a bit like a downplayed version of the “domesticated” Spike from Buffy The vampire slayer. (Sorry for any other weird images sprung from that comparison. :) )

I mean if Derek had problems with Cameron, how funny wouldn’t be to see some passive aggressive moments beteween Cameron and Jesse. Not to mention her frustration for not getting things done “her way” in the Connor household.

This however I’m sure would never happen though. :)

  12. She is ok, but the Jesse character is useless.

  13. Both Jesse and Cromartie stuttered a bit while talking about the show…

  14. Vegemite, yeah! I love how Stephanie immediately turned it down. Ha!

  15. Stephanie Jacobsen is awesome.

EvilJesse needs to die by fire.

  16. One of my favorite English professors ever told me that every good villain thinks they are doing the right thing. Claudius, for example, may be the antagonist in Hamlet, but if you look at him, aside from poisoning King Hamlet, he wasn’t that bad of a guy at all. Even Iago, who’s one of the most sinister Shakespearean villains ever created, takes the time to (try to) justify his actions. I rescently read a bit on the history of the Lord of the Rings, and it was said that even the evil Sauron didn’t start out as a bad guy.

I never really saw Jesse as evil to begin with. She may be a tough bitch, but she seems to at the very least be on the right side (but to what extent?). Obviously, she’s willling to be a bit extreme when it’s uncalled for (i.e. hitting Riley, the entire scenario in “Complications”). But there still is a lot to learn about her. Aside from wanting to stop Cameron from influencing John, is there more to her returning to the past?

I close with the words of Neil Young: “Even Richard Nixon has a soul”. This the man who till the day he died felt that his biggest mistake was getting caught, and that otherwhise he was acting for “the good of [his] country”.

  17. There were outtakes in that interview that I don’t remeber watching. Especially the scene where they were shooting apples. Is that from future episodes or are those some sort of deleted scenes?

  18. I like turtles.

  19. Well said Ghottistyx. We are so not done with Jesse yet.

  20. “EvilJesse needs to die by fire.” - k8tie

You might want to look both ways before next you cross the street, Love.

  21. @EvilJesse

Why? Are they letting Sarah Connor drive the minvan again?
