Not only is he an expert flipcam videographer, Thomas has also been around set shooting cast and crew with his real camera. He’s graciously given us access to some of his amazing setside photos to share with you over the course of the next few days…
Lena Headey (Sarah Connor), February 2009

Wow those are really good. He’s got a great eye! =)
Ok, now this is getting to be too much. He’s not only an actor, but a singer, writer, director, and now a photographer! He’s way past the triple threat mark. LOL.
Great job Dekker. The Lena photo is my favorite.
Nice photos. I really like the one with Savannah. Is that the giraffe from Thomas’s trailer that he stole?
Nice shots Tom!
That’s so cool. He ain’t half bad
Thanks Thomas!
2008?
Anyway, nice shots, I like the one with Savannah.
Guh…that Lena shot is ‘effin incredible!
I agree with Rudy, Thomas is just too darn talented for his own good!
I agree lenas is my fav pic. these pictures where taken last yr correct.
I like the Lena one the best…look forward to more! =)
Thomas’ talent continues to amaze us. Wonderful shot of Miss Lena!
Lovely photographs!!
Like the one of Lena.
Excellent photos, I’m a keen armature photographer myself. Thanks for sharing them =).
The only thing I’m not liking is the heavy grain effect running through the photos. What is that? an effect added to give it a film look?
Lovely photos. The Lena one is really lovely!
Rock on T-Train.
Right on Tom! They look great. I do a lot of photography myself, it’s great fun. Today I was at the Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades photographing Phil Mickelson and some of the other top golfers in the world. Tournament this week. I like to shoot sports but enjoy a little of everything else too.
Yes, Thomas is unfairly blessed with multiple talents. Not fair. Plus he has movie star good looks to attract all the girls. Again, not fair. And he gets to regularly work with Summer Glau. Now that’s REALLY not fair……… geez…….
Lovely pics, Thomas!
Have to say I love the Lena one, too! Great job! Hope to see more!
Gary… your comment made me laugh! Hey, hope we get to see each other again when there’s another event sometime, huh? I love those pics you took at Golden Apple! Thanks again for sharing those with us!
Wonderful photo’s. I really enjoyed them.
Love the B&W of Lena.
The Mackenzie one is cute. Is that a tile floor she I sitting on?
The lighting and the hills really adds to the Kelly one. Thanks for sharing.
Awesome, awesome photos~! Thank you for sharing them, Thomas!
The one of Lena is all sorts of lovely.
I love the vulnerability Lena portays in that pic. So beautiful.
Wow. Nice pics.
Nicely done thomas. Like the Lena one the best!
Jeck, maybe we’ll be lucky and Josh will arrange another Terminator event for the fans this year. I can imagine how busy they are though. It’s probably very hard to find a day when everyone there is available.
Anyone got any insight into why the pics have a grain effect running through the centre? I’m only asking as Ive never seen it before and am interested to know why its there. I think they would be much better pics without it.
Mark, I snuck by here and saw your question. The grain is not an effect. The photographs were taken on a film camera. A Yashica to be exact, a kind of psuedo Rolaflex, which is a mat-124, medium format camera. They haven’t made them since the 60s (mine was made in 66) and so the quality and 400 speed film it takes, does come with an amount of natural grain. I, personally, enjoy the aging it gives the photographs as I am a big fan of 60s/70s images. Hope that helps!
p.s. that camera is my baby :p
nadley confirms yes, that really is thomas.
Let me just say this: Thomas I thinks it’s absolutely terrific that you put in a reply in here. Even though I have no idea what you are talking about
Meaning that photography is not really my thing! (Gah now I am reduced to a blabbering fan making mistakes in what he posts…)
Wow, i feel honoured that you would reply to my question, thanks :). I hope you didn’t think i was being negative about them as i think they are awesome photos. I didn’t realise they were taken on a film camera, now it makes sense. Its just I’m not a fan of adding effects to photos that a lot of people do, i like to see how the photo looks straight from the camera. Now i know its from the camera it fits the photos well.
I feel a bit stupid for not realising they were taken on a film camera but Ive only ever used digital as i got into photography a few years ago.
Again thanks for sharing them and I hope we get to see more in the future.
Always enjoy the photos. Hope you will post many more.
It’s great to see that there are still people who haven’t forget 35-mm film camera (I was searching for a Rollei 35 S last week)! Great job Thomas!
