  1. “while Weaver’s move to protect John Henry results in deadly consequences”

I like the sound of this :) .

  2. “guided by the IMAGE of Kyle Reese…”

I am feeling more relieved now… ;) Also wondering about the deadly consequences… I someone dying next episode already?

  3. I didn’t know the show was moving to Friday… I hope that’s not a bad sign. I love this show, and it has only gotten better this season.

  4. Yeah…what a relief about the Kyle storyline. I knew it along along….whew!

  5. I don’t wanna have to wait 13 days, I wanna see it now! =( I miss my fav show!

  6. all i want to see is riledy dying

  7. Riley is sticking around a bit longer. Grumble, grumble. Sorry fabrice.

  8. Hey, it’s possible that John Henry and Catherine Weaver have taken their cyborg review show on the road… and it has deadly consequences… for the audience.

John Henry can’t sing and Catherine can’t dance. A deadly combination if ever I saw one.

Only a one night showing of “The Iceman Cometh: The Musical.” A real shame.

John Henry reads the reviews in the L.A. Times and goes on a rampage!

    Weirder things have happened. :D

  9. I’m with you Fabrice!!

  10. RobC, how did you not know the show was moving to Friday? It was announced months ago.

  11. I’d love to see a positive take on some of these popular John and Cameron moments instead of everything being couched in such a negative light all the time.

    —-

John and Cameron are laying on the grass at a park looking up at the night sky, actually talking and listening to each other for a change, when Cameron turns to John…

    Cameron: John?

John [arms folded behind his head and staring up at the stars]: Hmmm?

Cameron [like a girl wistfully wondering if she could have a pony]: Can we get a Foosball table?

John [turns his head and looks at her, and smiles]: Only if you let me win once in a while.

    Cameron: Deal.

    John: Deal.

Cameron: Could we play for cash?

    John just stares at her.

  12. Haha cool. That reminds me of the episode she won a load of cash playing pool and was sat there smiling counting it :) . Excellent moment, i really like the subtle comedy moments Cams character brings to the show without detracting from the more serious story lines. Much like Chloes character achieves in 24.

It would be great to have them sort of scenes back.

  13. Mark,

You and me both, you and me both.

  14. Mark said: “Haha cool. That reminds me of the episode she won a load of cash playing pool and was sat there smiling counting it :) . Excellent moment…”

Oh, you know she’s all about the Dead Presidents, the dolla dolla billeo.

    ;)

  15. Speaking of “The Iceman Cometh: The Musical” can you just imagine opening night with John Henry “singing” verses penned by Catherine Weaver?

“Stuck In The Middle With You”

“Well I don’t know why I came here tonight,
I got the feeling that something ain’t right,
I’m so scared in case I fall off my chair,
And I’m wonderin’ how I’ll get down the stairs,
Socialists to the left of me,
Prostitutes to the right, here I am,
Stuck in the middle with you.”

Eugene O’Neill would have something to say, I’d bet. :)

    Is it February 13th yet?

  16. Dan: The scene idea was great, I hope to see more moments like that in the back nine and beyond. But, this isn’t a musical. Can the lyrics.

  17. Read the lyrics, snake… it was a joke.

  18. OT: Just a quick question. Say if were given a third season, how long is it usually between a season ending and a season beginning? I ask because I’m really struggling to even wait a few weeks for the back 9 and i don’t have a clue what I’m going to do between seasons lol.

  19. @Mark: The TV season starts mid September/early October. TSCC season 2 finishes April 10th, so assuming we get a third season, it’ll be at least a five months wait.

  20. Nooooo!, that is going to be some wait. I’ll just be happy for a season 3 though. Hope Summer manages to do a project or 2 in between seasons.

  21. Although i want more Firefly. Cant just do with ten episodes of that. Can we split summer galu in half so she can do both at same time.
Still hoping for another season of sarah connor as well. Man i want both. :(

  22. I doubt we will ever see another series of Firefly or another film for that matter. The series didn’t do well at all due to Fox and the film also failed to make a profit. I would love to see another don’t get me wrong but despite all the efforts to get this movie seen by the masses it didn’t succeed and i cant see it doing in the future. Unless of course Summer became very successful and then stared in a second movie as that would get more people to watch it. But i think Serenity was a way of wrapping up the series and thats the end.

A third season of SCC would be amazing and I’m crossing my fingers that we will get one. It would be cool if Summer got to make her dance movie with Joss while she is finished with TSCC for the break.

We need another Dekker tape to give us something to discuss lol, getting a bit OT at the moment.

  23. Anyone have a bottle of liquor handy to ply Dekker with?

    Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?

  24. I know it would’ve been nice to keep the image of Kyle Reese a secrete. But Thank God the writers weren’t loosing it and try to bring Kyle to the present. Keep up the good work and i can’t wait for the second half.

  25. Hang in there, it’s almost Summer time.

  26. The Steelers won, so it’s… Miller Time!

An exciting 100 yard turnover charge for a TD, a Superbowl record! One of the youngest coaches to win a ring with his team, and the sixth SB win for the franchise.

Even though I’m a die hard Broncos fan I have to tip my hat to them.

    :)

  27. One thing about the Dekker tapes again, if he was giving real spoilers that is, that has me a bit concerned is his assertion that things will get DARKER and things will split apart even more than they already are.

I don’t know if anybody realizes this, but we have a global recession and a possible U.S. Depression (totaling a loss of at least trillions upon trillions of net worth due to worthless and less than worthless mortgage trading) on our hands.

Thousands are newly out of work, and many more are going to be out of work soon. Wall Street is taking the tax payers for every red cent they have and giving themselves HUGE mega-bonuses for a job terribly, horribly done… (at least 18 billion in bonuses!!). Many executives should be in jail rather than allowed to have another mansion in the Hamptons. Hah! Like that will happen!

The mood probably is not the most conducive to a really, really dark and depressing story and even more disfunctional and sad-sack characters. This direction will not gain you an audience. It may shrink it instead.

    THINK before you act.

  28. If the predictions for viewing figures Ive seen on the wiki are true (4 million) i don’t think we will get a third season anyway :( .

  29. I say they could pump the action and suspense up while giving us a solid, dramatic story too.

Action does not necessarily mean expensive. You don’t need a lot of digital visual SFX or explosions for non-lethal martial arts and/or standard hand to hand combat (remember, NON-lethal… she should be learning some values) if you need a fight scene.

They talk up the fact that Terminators are not exactly subtle and more like bulls in a china shop. Well, if Cameron is “different” then have her learn subtle and nuanced tactics like martial arts and other forms of offensive and defensive moves. It’ll cut down on expensive shoots with a lot of breakaway walls! EVERYBODY should be training on guerilla style and “Mission: Impossible”-like stealth and covert ops.

John should be using mad hacking and programming skills in the hopes of taking Skynet down NOW. That should be a priority. Cameron, John, Sarah, and Derek could use disguises and other forms of espionage to gain intel. Use all their resources, all their talents.

Really ratchet up the suspense and thrills… make things more EXCITING and EDGE-OF-YOUR-SEAT without relying so much on just blowing and shooting stuff up (though, you do need that sometimes) .

Good cinematography and editing and music can make it seem more “big budget” than it really is.

Along the way, build a TEAM with good chemistry. Make things more snappy, spritely, and positive rather than dwelling on death and the negative all the time. That may mean moving Cameron to a greater state of humanity and curiosity as well, so that you can have some GOOD social messages included in the stories; give them some meaning and weight. You should say something GOOD within the stories.

    You know… HOPE.

Again, just trying to find ways to BUILD a solid audience base.

  30. I dunno, I like the darker, slightly scary feel the show has. Cameron should be a little bit creepy, almost a little scary. Which she is.

Please don’t turn her in the Pink Power Ranger!

Summer actually auditioned for the Pink Power Ranger role at one time, did you guys know that?

    Funny story.

  31. Yeah Cam using some martial arts would be amazing. She managed to learn ballet moves that are for advanced dancers after being shown once so she could easily pick up some martial arts. It would be more realistic due to her smaller frame using some faster more technical moves against the bigger Terminators.

It worked great for Serenity, although she had to train for 6 months before filming. It would have to be a toned down version for TSCC i think but would still be great.

“Good cinematography and editing and music can make it seem more “big budget” than it really is.”

Definitely. One scene that used this well was in the first season where Cromarty was stealing the blood from the hospital and hits that security guard in the chest while he was running toward him. The camera work and effects used in this scene made a big difference and it looked great.

  32. “Summer actually auditioned for the Pink Power Ranger role at one time, did you guys know that?”

Yeah I’m glad she didn’t get the role lol. She plays the roles shes had like River, Tess and Cam so well.

  33. Gary,

Cameron should be like the Pink Power Ranger!!! YEAH!!! You hit the nail on the head, buddy!!

    NOT!!!

    LOL!!

I’m talking about more of a BALANCE in the style and mood of the show and the characters. Everything’s played too DOWN BEAT. You need UP BEAT and energetic and exciting and even FUN too in many instances as well.

It won’t sit well with the mood of the country, I’m telling you.

    —-

This song always gets me in a good mood; it has positive message:

The classic “Homeworld (The Ladder)” from the progressive rock group Yes.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TUsQn4K6Ndw (it has lyrics included)

    Think positive guys!

  34. I’m actually typing this. I AGREE WITH DAN!!

Within all the gritty action and drama in T:SCC there’s got to be some type of hope.

We were left with a supposedly dead Riley on the floor of Johns bathroom (which signifies hope to some viewers *cough cough*) Sarah wounded, Cam and John on the straights and Jesse still lying to Derek.

BOY DO WE NEED SOME RECONCILIATION!!

I don’t know how much more of the morbid stuff i can take. The Dark Knight is one thing, my beloved T:SCC is a totally different story.

  35. M.J.

I just fell over in shock! Wow! I 210% agree with you too!

M.J. we should drive to L.A. and create a mass sit-in at the writers room… until they come to their senses. :D

    Road trip!

  36. Dan,
AGREED!! A road trip sounds good to me. Anything to get me away from my classes (Gosh college can be a real drag sometimes) and talk some sense into those writers!

I’m really hoping Josh and everyone else who’s rolls with T:SCC gets the drift about what the fans want to see. It might just be you and me who want to see a little more humor (come on, some of my favorite eps are when they incorporate humor, generally via Summer’s character) We want that back…there’s a place and time for tension but they gotta lighten it up just a bit too with they plan on holding audiences.

  37. No, no, no, we don’t want John Connor to turn into Richie Cunningham, running around with a happy cyborg sidekick.

Terminator needs that darker feel with only a LITTLE bit of humor injected into it. Like they’re doing now.

Cameron needs to remain unpredictable and a little scary. When she was pushing that metal rod into the ground in Ellison’s yard, a friend who was watching it online said, “You know, she’s kinda creepy!” That’s how she should be. Unpredictable. They’re doing a great job with her character.

Sit back & watch the back nine you guys, let Josh and the writers tell the story.

  38. Gary,

You’re going to extremes. That’s not what we’re saying. Again, you need to find a happy medium (a middle ground in the show’s tone). I don’t think they have yet.

That’s all I’m saying. I believe that’s what M.J. is saying too, though I don’t want to put words in his/her mouth.

Though, Cameron in leather is MUCH better than The Fonz in leather.. you know what I’m talking about! :D

  39. Oh for heavens sakes, *sigh* I guess my posts are open to misinterpretation. I LOVE the grittiness of T:SCC! The action, the AMAZING explosives, and kickin awesome fight sequences always get my heart and mind pumping. I wasn’t asking anyone to turn this show into some dim witted comedy session, I just wish there was more of a balance. I’ll harken back to the first season and Samson and Delilah ep for the picture I’m trying to paint.

but Gary I agree with you on your Cam point. Keep her a little on the edge, a bit creepy and unpredictable…I’m pretty sure NO ONE wants that part of T:SCC to go away anytime soon! But there is isn’t anything wrong with a little cooperation and humor.

  40. Personally i like it the way it is. Well the way it was before Riley split them all up. The subtle humour is great as it is, we don’t want it being overused and becoming repetitive.

  41. You know what, I give up. I never thought I’d see the day when Dan is the only guy who gets what I’m saying…

I think Mark sorta got my point. Subtle humor, that’s all we’re asking for or even better (unlike the last couple eps) SOME HUMOR AT ALL!!

    Even if it’s Gallows humor…at this point I don’t even care…

  42. I wasn’t saying anyones opinion was wrong. I agree there seems to be a lack of humour of late. It could be down to the fact John has turned emo and spends most of his time moaning. The interaction between Sarah and John is now gone and that was sometimes amusing. This is why i want Riley out of the picture as she has forced them apart and its not as entertaining anymore.

All i was meaning by the subtle humour Cams character creates is that it could become stale if its overused.
