Quite a lot of rumors (true and false) are spreading out in the T:SCC interverse. Here are a few we can confirm or deny (of course, mild spoiler alert!):
Our big second season finale (penned by Showrunner Josh Friedman) will be directed by Dungeons & Dragons‘ helmer, Jeffrey Hunt.
Some characters we have not yet seen this season will return by season’s end. Guesses on who they include? Who you’d like to see?
This does not include Andy Goode/Billy Wisher.
Another alumnus from The Wire will play a predominate role in upcoming episodes of the series. You may remember Andre “Bubbles” Royo played resistance fighter, Sumner, last season.
Upcoming (still unannounced) episode titles include literary allusions, song titles, and dialogue references. One even references a piece by Virginia Woolf…
The Beastwizard will be mentioned again.
Oh Beastwizard gets mentioned again, but you guys just leave Atomic Al out in the cold?? How rude!
Really looking forward to the rest of the season
Who you’d like to see?
Morris! And Chola!
The Shield and The Wire are two of my favourite programs so its good to see familiar faces in TSCC \o/.
BEAST WIZARD yeeeees!!!
And bring back Charlie Dixon. He’s the “normal” guy that anchors the show. Plus, he’s got a pretty badass quality about himself, too. But, it’s hidden. No guns blazing. Which makes him the “normal” guy on the show.
T:SCC is awesome. And for my money this is the timeline that I want to stick with even though the McG films will ignore it.
Sooooooo, anyone want to lay odds on Tarissa Dyson showing up to kick Sarah’s ass?
PS - There can never be too much Beastwizard.
This guy has to be Charley Dixon.
First because we havent finished yet with his character, second because of what Thomas Dekker said on his now famous tappes.
french fan.. they said a character that we haven’t yet seen this season. We’ve seen Charley.
Out of all the rumors going around this is it? Sad
Beastwizard!!
Wow, everyone loves the Beastwizard =P Awesome.
Please let it be Morris! He was such a funny addition, and I still really want to see Cameron go to the prom with him! It would just be such a funny/awkward time (with, of course, some Jealous!John? lol)
Other then him I’m not sure. Other Resistance fighters we saw in S1 we haven’t seen this season maybe? But pretty much all the fighters we saw, died. Well, we know about Kyle Reese, so I don’t think they are talking about him. Hm…
Even though he’s dead, I would like to see Dr. Sherman back. Just as I was starting to like his character, he was killed off. Perhaps some flashbacks to his “sessions” with the AI turk that eventually led to his death.
Hooray for Beastwizard! The short little Beastwizard bits thrown in at unexpected times are so funny! I like that they are:
Short. They would drag and not be as funny if they were too long.
They are presented in a serious manner. The more serious they are presented the funnier it makes them without any disruption to the show.
They have me rolling every time. I would like to get Beastwizard vs. TSCC T-shirt with Beastwizard on one side and TSCC on the other. It would be fun to see peoples reaction. And to see who gets it and who does not.
I have to agree - complete silence out of blog land on Tom’s spoilers! Wow!
Does this mean there’s a tussle between the producers and the studio over the direction of the show and/or the characters? Is Josh dropping spoilers - we KNOW he HATES spoilers! - in order to influence the PTB to alter - or NOT alter - the show?
C’mon, guys! Tom wasn’t that drunk - he was coherent. He said what he said. He said Josh TOLD him to say it! Then Fox lawyers went after people posting the videos on Youtube, allegedly because they were concerned the rumors were spreading too fast.
And now you guys ignore all this? Tom says the two main female characters of the show - including Cameron, who is fifty percent of the show - are being stripped out - who cares about Riley? - and nobody says boo?
Dude! C’mon!
BTW, how can characters we haven’t yet seen this season RETURN at season’s end or anywhere else but a first introduction?
Are you referring to Walsh, the guy who sold “The Turk” to Weaver? We know he’s back - he was in the promo clips. Ends up dead, too, apparently.
Or are you referring to people from season one? Well, I would like to see Morris make a move on Cameron and get stuffed in the trunk of a car during prom night! Yes, do anything else you want to the show, but let me see that and I’ll be happy. That kid is too stupid to live.
The “silent Latina” might be fun, but I can’t see any logic in re-inserting her since her whole crowd is dead and gone.
I would hope none of the high school bit is back - except Morris long enough to die.
Terminator Carter might be brought back - I never expected him to stay in that bunker forever. He’s not that dumb. Since they need a Terminator to replace Cromartie, and since his coltan mission is shot, he might as well revert to “kill John Connor” mode. He knows what John looks like, he knows what Cameron looks like and he can start tracking them from the photo of Cameron that Cromartie used this season.
Morris because I’d like to see Cameron at the prom. How wierd would that be? How about Danny Dyson? Shouldn’t he be in grad school by now? If he’s got any of his father’s technical smarts, he could be a real asset to JC. Why not the original Cromartie? Or better yet, the human he derived his features from.
Regarding Carter, something has been nagging at me since the D&D episode. Could Carter have been the Terminator in the vehicle taking Dereck and his team to Cameron’s safe house?
Beastwizard!
why has the show moved to friday??? thats the graveyard for shows :*(
“No one does it quite like Beast Wizard does it!”
Do we get to see Princess Aquilina again?
Hmmm… I expected some info on the infamous Dekker Tapes actually. Well Nevermind. Always good to hear that there is more beastwizard coming. How would John Henry react to seeing his own image in that rediculous outfit :p
Don’t think there is a chance of Morris coming back. Though how I would have loved to see his continued tries of getting it on with Cameron… and utterly failing off course
No Andy Goode?
Okay then, how about Danny Dyson?
He’s in college, right? Studying computer science, no doubt as he prepares to follow in daddy’s footsteps. Then he hears about this great internship opportunity at Zeira Corp.
@ allergygal
ANDY IS ON THE NEW FOX show Lie to me now, and he was dead on this one.
I too would like to see morris back, and chollam as long as she doesnt say anything?
cherie is on CW show so doubt it will be her. thats all I can think of from S-1 that isnt dead, except dyson and carter.
I also expected you to refer to the dekker tapes, but I guess not.
Wow no mention of the Dekker tapes…humm i wonder what implications that implies.
Josh seriously needs to address these rumors…the buzz has a lot of people worried (including myself) It really feels like there leading us on but preparing to crash and burn (aka NO 3 SEASON)
I guess all we can do is wait for more updates…
I hope we see Termintator Carter, and the silent Latina again. I hope we also get to see how Cameron was reprogrammed, to help John in the distant future.
BeastWizard, yeah!
No Dekker tapes, wimps!
I guess the Dekker tapes are still generating a lot of buzz so they don’t really want to stop that. Also it could be better not knowing exactly whats going to happen. At the moment there are all sorts of rumours floating around about what will happen. I’m quite excited about seeing what actually happens for myself.
Am i the only one who doesn’t want Morris to return?
Hey guys I’m not good with names but is Billy that girl from that one episode where there is the guy from Firefly? I’m just not good with names. I hope that the girl is in it she was a great charecter. Can’t wait for the new episode.
“I guess the Dekker tapes are still generating a lot of buzz so they don’t really want to stop that.”
I guess it doesn’t really matter what kinda buzz it is, good or bad. Perhaps the producers are just like
“Well people are talking. That’s better then everybody just being bored”
But there’s no way to deny people are totally hyped for The Good Wound!!
I know! I know the ending to Season 2!
It’s an episode of “Cops: L.A. Edition.” With the men and women in blue investigating disturbances at Zera Corp.!
Bob Marley’s “Bad Boys”: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NG2ci9CyiwI
Officer 1: Roger, we have a Five-Four-Niner at the Zera Corp. parking lot. Looks like a suspicious group of characters snooping around the building perimeter. I’m gonna check it out. Over.
Officer 2 [crackels over the radio]: A-roger that. Approach with extreme caution. Out.
Officer 1 [to the cameraman]: Now, in this kinda situation we just act real casual-like and assess the situation.
Officer 1 walks towards the back of the building and shines his flashlight towards three individuals crouched by the metal trash bins.
Boy [aged 16, his face blurred because he's a minor]: BLEEP! I told you, you were making too much noise, Cameron!
Cameron: Excuse me, but I wasn’t the one who knocked over the BLEEPIN! boxes!
Boy: Shut up!
Cameron: No, you shut up!
Boy: Tin can!
Cameron: Meat bag!
Officer 1: Hey, hey! Everybody shut it! Now, what’s going on here? Darn kids out here foolin’ around at one in the morning… you aren’t lookin’ to TP somethin’ are you? Hey… hey! You.. [pointing to the shadow in the corner]. That’s right, I’m talkin’ to you. Get up and stand where I can see your face.
Sarah cautiously gets up and whips out a black 9mm handgun.
Officer1 : Oh, BLEEP! Gun! Gun! [reaches for his revolver, but the holster is empty] BLEEP-damnit! Left it in the car again!
Sarah: Step away, get in your car, and just drive. You saw nothing. Not a thing. [pointing the gun at the cameraman] You too, shortstuff! And get that BLEEPIN! camera out of my face! [pushing her hand up to cover the lens]
Officer 2 [creeping up behind Sarah from out of the shadows, with his gun drawn and pointed at her head]: Okay, drop it! I mean it!”
Cameron whips around and grabs Officer 2 and flips him through the air right into the cameraman. They go sprawling. The camera drops to the ground and records the rest at a crazy angle.
Cameron: BLEEP, this! I’m out of here!
The boy and Sarah turn around in astonishment.
Boy: Wait up!!
The boy and Sarah start running after her.
Officer 1 has managed to run back and get his gun as Cameron is running down the alley away from the camera with the boy and Sarah in tow.
Officer 1 [into the radio]: “I’ve got runners! I repeat! I’ve got runners! Over and Out! [He starts chasing after them with his gun in hand] Oh, BLEEP, this is gonna make for some crazy BLEEP TV!!!
[Fade to "Cops" logo and repeat song]

For once I’m actually amused Dan!
No one has mentioned Enrique’s nephew, Carlos!
I would like to see him back. I like the good badguy angle to his character. John could use his toughness, as well as his crew, as an ally.
Of course, with Carlos comes Chola. It would be nice to find out more about her. Morris would be great as a friend of John who knows absolutely nothing about J-day and gets caught up in the mess. Don’t care to see Morris and Cameron at the prom, however. Could end up looking ridiculous.
@ pnutans
I would not mind in the least seeing Cam go to prom with Morris! Absolute comic mayhem would ensue…unfortunately I don’t think it’s gonna happen.
I don’t think there would be anyway if they bring Morris back (which i doubt they will but you never know) for him to remain in the dark about J-Day. John’s whole life revolves around that and i think he’s pretty much given up the idea of attending a normal high school.
Thanks M.J. Having a bit of fun. (sorry about the double post; looks like the other one finally showed up)
Pnutans:
It might be kind of hard for Carlos to show up… he probably has a sword sticking out of his gut.
That would make a great online viral ad campaign Dan :D. Like they made some short videos for Serenity and put them online. I did hear that they were contemplating making some online content maybe directed by Tom Dekker, you should try and get this idea to him.
Mark,
I’m thinking it would make for an interesting, humorous episode (doesn’t have to be just like what I quickly whipped out), but if it was a COPS episode from the cop’s perspective as some BIG stuff goes down.
Actually have the main characters act more like the suspects you see on the COPS show… with the arguing and the multiple BLEEPS and the running and being chased down on foot, in cars; the moronic actions of “Regular-Joe” people, the guns fights, etc. etc.
Cameron can even try to defend herself during the episode (outside of the COPS seequence) to the gang by saying that she could not and would never say “off color” remarks or swear, but it’s been caught on tape by the videographers of the COPS show. There she is BLEEPIN’ up a storm! LOL! Oops!
I would really love to see some honest to God light episodes where the audience can laugh (or at least chuckle] and smile at the proceedings throughout, and the atmosphere can be changed from dark and depressing to something a bit more upbeat while continuing the story along and not stopping things cold like a stand alone that has nothing to do with the focus of the show or its characters and their development.
Again, “The X-Files” is such a good example of mixing things up in order to keep it fresh and lively. I even liked when Star Trek “Deep Space Nine” went so far as to have short stories within the main show where the actors played characters TOTALLY unrelated and different from their regular gigs. Very unique and different.
Funnily enough, “The X Files” and “Star Trek: Deep Space Nine” were both sci-fi shows which kept up an increasing amount of continuity over the run of their episodes and seasons, interspersed with individual stories, and both were hugely satisfying, hugely entertaining and both hugely succesfull in their own terms (DS9 suffered from viewer friendly TNG and VOY running alongside, but as a syndicated series, it commanded excellent ratings throughout it’s run).
I’m quite happy with a mix of both types of storytelling. I love having a main theme of the series, but if every episode was about counting down to Judgement Day it would get extremely boring and predictable. I love that there are characters who go off and do their own thing, and that there isn’t too much focus on any one character. I’d be really downhearted if TSCC turned into the Cameron show, a la Star Trek:Voyager/Seven of Nine, as some fans seem to be determined to get from the show. Each character has his or her part to play in the fabric of the TSCC universe. I want to be able to see each of them equally.
I agree with Paul. Characters deserve equal time and some of them have been painfully sidelined or underused or dumbed down this season. The fans of this show are not limited to those posting on forums. If anything, all the shipper drivel that goes on would probably put off most fans who aren’t primarily invested in Cameron from posting. Good analogy with Voyager and Seven, but I’d say that insisting on a single character on a more serialized show like Sarah Connor would probably wear out even sooner if they kept at it. And the kind of fans they cater to is exactly the kind of fans they will be stuck with in the end.
Deep Space Nine is still my favourite SF show of all time, btw, even with TOS, TNG and BSG in the mix. It just never gets old.
DS9 should be a standard on how to write, characterise and populate a serial sci-fi show. It is so underappreciated that it is criminal. I loved how the fabric of the entire storyline could shift in a single scene out of nowhere yet other than the odd occasion never felt like the writers were forcing the plot along for the sake of it. Almost everything in the DS9 world had a reason to be there, even if it wasn’t always apparent.
Anyways…more T1001!
T.S.
“Dumbed down” is a great descripter. Yes, some have been dumbed down this season. Actually, most have. They’ve been running around like chickens with their heads cut off following blind leads, and not a lot of purpose to their efforts.
All the guy characters are basically oblivious pawns. The title character is acting like she’s lost some of her marbles and basic jungle/desert survivalist and guerilla training, and who knows what’s up with Tin Miss.
Maybe if there is a next season they can take stock, re-evaluate the story and the characters, and what the writers want the fans to get out of it (I’m kind of confused myself sometimes), and really bear down on telling a focused serialized story without all the tangents and side characters popping up willynilly and disappear just as quickly without effecting the show’s story much.
Take for instance, supposedly, Dr. Sherman. Tell me there was a reason he was important. So far… I don’t see a reason for him being on the “deux ex machina” wall of blood. He didn’t help John, Sarah, or Cameron move ahead. And he was killed off as he was getting interesting.
Is there a purpose to TSCC? What is the purpose? If there is no way to stop JD, then… again, why are we watching this show? What is the goal then, the end game strategy?
T2 had a purpose: STOP Judgment Day and tell a bit of a good message along the way. It was HOPE driven. Hope for humans, hope for the machines, hope for the future because we don’t have to have the carnage and the wars if we take stock in what is important for survival: LOVE and HUMANITY towards each other.
Sorry I bring this up again, but every so often when I’m watching Season 2’s 13 episodes this keeps popping up in the back of my mind. It just wasn’t IMHO that good of a season overall. Yes, it had its moments, but taken on the whole…
Dr. Peter Silberman
Having a weird discussion over on the Wiki and it changed to “Seinfeld” references, so I thought I’d give you my interpretation.
Kramer = John (bumbling around through life)
George = Derek (he’s conflicted with what roll in society he really wants– fake good guy, fake bad guy… don’t know if he ever wanted to be a pretend architect or not, hmmm…)
Elaine = Sarah (just one of the guys)
Jerry = Cameron (the straight “man”)
Newman = Riley (Cameron’s rival)
Susan Ross = Jesse (she’s killing Independent “Derek.” A Derek divided against itself cannot stand! Hopefully she’ll lick some poisoned envelopes and die!)
George Steinbrenner = Skynet (the big cheese, the big enchilada… always giving terrible work related advice to his “team” of Terminators)
Crazy Joe Davola and/or The Soup Nazi (??) = Um, Catherine Weaver (that’s a toughie!)
———
Cameron hears the doorbell ring and goes to open the front door. It’s Riley.
Cameron [growling slightly]: Hello… Riiileyy!
Riley [short and snarky retort]: Cam.
Cameron: What are you doing here?
Riley [bulling her way in through the door, and suddenly beaming]: Say… you wouldn’t want to come over to my place and help me with my homework, would you?
Cameron: Help you, or do it for you? I didn’t know you could read.
Riley [blinking and pausing at that, and then changing the subject]: Anyway, you have any Chunky Monkey ice cream? I’m starving.
Cameron: I’ll bet you are. If you spent as much time in school as you do eating… you’d really go places. [under her breath, and eyeing a metal poker by the fireplace] Like six feet under.
Riley [pulling her head away from the freezer]: What?
Cameron [smiling]: Oh, nothing.
[and... scene]
hey i’ve heard a RUMOR about the show beeing cancelled or something tell me this isn’t true
this is one of the best shows i know
please fox don’t cancelle this one to
does anyone know?
i want more KYLE REESE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i understand him not being a main character but id like him to be real and not a hallucination.
i find it perfectly logical that the future John could have sent someone else back to take care of Kyle’s injuries and then take him back to the future/take him back and then deal with his injuries. Derek survived a punctured lung i think if he had been able to get help Kyle would have survived
not to mention the whole Fisher/Derek situation. I can totally believe that Kyle came back from a time where he was saved to a time where he died.
even if hes there on a separate mission [like how Derek was in the beginning] and he is just randomly seen or mysteriously saves the day once in a while thatd be awesome!
