  1. I can’t wait!!!!
Hopefully more John and more Cromartie this half

  2. “Some Must Watch, While Some Must Sleep”. Sounds like it could be about Cameron. Watching over John perhaps? Hehe

  3. It’s Hamlet, the scene where he confronts his father’s murderers by putting on a show that re-enacts his death. Sounds like Turk porn.

Why, let the stricken deer go weep,
    The hart ungalled play;
For some must watch, while some must sleep:
    So runs the world away.
Would not this, sir, and a forest of feathers, if the rest of my fortunes turn Turk with me, with two Provincial roses on my razed shoes, get me a fellowship in a cry of players, sir?

  4. Here’s some possible insight in “Desert Cantos”

For more than twenty years, Richard Misrach has been photographing the American desert, revealing a complex landscape that is as captivating as it is mysterious. His newest book and travelling exhibition, Crimes and Splendors: The Desert Cantos of Richard Misrach (Bulfinch, 1996), chronicles the development of his involvement with the desert as he travels across terrain that is both seductive and hazardous, filled with an eery silence. Through his numerous cantos (groups of pictures) Misrach has created one of the most extensive projects in contemporary photography. For most people, the desert defines itself as a place where little happens, except the occasional glimpse of tumbleweed blowing across the sand. In Misrach’s desert, the land vibrates with underground nuclear testing and the sky illuminates with radiation seeping into the atmosphere, creating fantastic colors at every glance.

Whether photographing a flooded town, a desert fire, an abandoned nuclear test site or the colors on the horizon emanating from a small town miles away, Richard Misrach draws the viewer into his world through his mastery of color. Ranging from beautiful lakes to secret military bunkers to speed racing on the Utah salt flats, Misrach’s work chronicles mans involvement in the desert, while always paying homage to the intrinsic beauty provided by nature.

  5. I’m so excited! :D

  6. You guys and your wacky titles… :)

And Callie, I agree, the title could be about cameron. Let’s hope for another nice one!

  7. Fanshawe: Yeah, I searched the title and came up with the Hamlet quote (one of his best plays). It’s also the title of a Sleep disorder type book. So I’m guessing it’ll either have to do with Cameron and the fact she doesn’t sleep, or about Sarah and her dreams.

Gotta agree with Scy800, I love the titles you guys come up with ^_^

Also, Logan. Great insight, makes sense to me!

  8. Speaking of “wacky titles” they could have one called “The Meaning of Life” and include the ol’ Eric Idle diddy: “Always Look on the Bright Side of Life” from “Life of Brian.” Eh? Eh?

Some things in life are bad
They can really make you mad
Other things just make you swear and curse.
When you’re chewin’ on life’s gristle
    Don’t grumble, give a whistle
And this’ll help things turn out for the best…

And…always look on the bright side of life…
Always look on the light side of life…

    If life seems jolly rotten
    There’s somethin’ you’ve forgot
And that’s to laugh and smile and dance and sing.
When you’re feelin’ in the dumps
    Don’t be silly chumps
Just purse your lips and whistle - that’s the thing.

And…always look on the bright side of life…
    (Come on!)
Always look on the light side of life…

    For life is quite absurd
    And death’s the final word
You must always face the curtain with a bow.
Forget about your sin - give the audience a grin
Enjoy it - it’s your last chance anyhow.

So always look on the bright side of death
A- just before you draw your terminal breath

    Life’s a piece of sh!t
    When you look at it
    Life’s a laugh and death’s a joke, it’s true.
    You’ll see it’s all a show
Keep ‘em laughin’ as you go
Just remember that the last laugh is on you.

And always look on the bright side of life…
Always look on the right side of life…
    (Come on guys, cheer up!)
Always look on the bright side of life…
Always look on the bright side of life…
(Worse things happen at sea, you know.)
Always look on the bright side of life…
(I mean - what have you got to lose?)
(You know, you come from nothin’ - you’re going back to nothin’.
    What have you lost? Nothin’!)
Always look on the right side of life…

(Come on, give us a grin!)

Remember, don’t grumble… give a whistle! :D Happy weekend to all!!

  9. Looks like somethig really bad happened to Weavers assistant as he tried to stop John henry in todays podcast ;) Only a few more weeks until the new episodes start. I am looking foreard to seeing how everything plays out. Great new look for the blog also.

  10. Gosh can’t Feb 13 be here already…all the hints and teasers…IT’S DRIVING ME CRAZY!!

I haven’t been this excited about a evening of tv watching in who knows how long…T:SCC AND DOLLHOUSE back to back…DOES IT GET ANY BETTER!?!?

Josh and Joss…kickin awesome combo…Bring it on Fox. Gaaa! I CAN’T WAIT!!

  11. Yeah me too, really excited about this. I never thought I’d see the day I’m more excited about a series other than 24 and thats saying something. I don’t know if i can hold out tbh.

If we don’t get a 3rd season i will be really gutted. I hope all you American fans will tune in to show your support. Being a UK fan i cant make any difference but i will buy the boxset but its the viewing figures that make all the difference.

  12. Titles, titles and more titles! Yeah, the second one still sounds like the gang is in the desert chasing down dots and the third one about Cameron. Argh! Is it February 13th yet - the one day that Friday the 13th will be a fantastically lucky day for SCC fans! :)

Mark - don’t worry, we American fans will do our best to keep the ratings up! Yeah, I’ll be pretty gutted if there’s not a third season too, especially if the second ends in a cliffhanger.

  13. Mark,

I don’t think Fox makes a profit on the video sales, unless they have SOME re-distribution deal with Warner Brothers overseas somewhere, or they’ve worked out some profit “sharing” agreement.

Of course, what studio (or any large company) likes to share with another?

    Sharing? What’s that?

  14. “I don’t think Fox makes a profit on the video sales”

Shame :(, there are quite a lot of fans outside the US so its a real shame we cant make a difference to the ratings. It would be great if there was a way we could watch it legally online or something.

  15. The trouble with any show I get semi-attached to (good, brilliant, or something that needs improvement, but is still compelling nonetheless) is that it doesn’t hang around long or given a chance to improve to find an audience as they used to do with shows like “The X-Files,” “Seinfeld,” etc.

“Arrested Development” (as good as “Seinfeld” and as smart, if not smarter humor; at least they’re doing a movie to wrap things up with the same spectacular cast).

“Pushing Daisies” (clever! it was dark, yet witty and sometimes charming stories like a cross between Barry Sonnenfeld’s–P.D.’s producer and sometimes director– “Adams Family” and “Men In Black” and their dead pan humor and trade-mark Barry Sonnenfeld/Coen Brother cinematographically wacky style and Tim Burton’s story book imagry and narrative structure of “Edward Scissorhands” crossed with Kristen Chenoweth’s musical talents).

“Deadwood” (I don’t know why, but I found it addictive as it’s usually not my cup of tea and a bit on the brutal side. Ian McShane’s subtly conflicted, yet still evil and petty Swearinger was the perfect bad-guy. He swore like a poet warrior!).

Those are just some of the shows that got the shaft.

They were too good for network television, or even HBO, for that matter.

  16. Freaks and Geeks, Firefly, Carnivale to name some others. Ratings don’t depend on the quality of the show. It depends where and when you air it. If you give it a great lead-in it’s a guaranteed hit, like Fringe. That show is horribly bad but it doesn’t matter since it has House and Idol as a lead-in. Also, the dumber the show the better chances is has at survival. Just look at Ghost Whisperer. That show is just a slap in the face to intelligent people. All because the dumb vastly outnumber the smart people. 2 kinds of people in this world…dumb people and people who are just smart enough to abuse that.

To the writers of this show, it challenges the mind which is always a good thing. Thank you for bringing quality back on tv. From the moment I saw the pilot I knew this show would be in trouble because it’s that good. The good ones never get the appreciation they deserve. How could they in a world where the likes of Paris Hilton and Kim Kardashian can dominate showbizz with their “talents” and Britney who can’t sing if her life depended on it is the most succesful singer.

  17. @ Mark

Don’t worry about us USA fans, me and a bunch of friends are planning on taking off work just so we could watch the new ep of T:SCC and the premier of Dollhouse, and we’re hoping to keep up the trend.

I gotta agree with Tony on this one, most of the crap on TV that’s popular is popular only cause it’s mindless. I have several friends who will not be joining me on Friday the thirteenth because they don’t get or care to get T:SCC. They prefer shows like American Idol that require nothing mentally from them.

I on the other hand prefer a show that challenges me to think in new ways, explore areas of life i wouldn’t normally go…T:SCC does that and more…and come on…who wouldn’t want to watch a show with Summer Glau in it (still loyal Browncoat!!)

  18. Tony and M.J., I agree with you completely. Because of all the horribly stupid programming nowadays, I almost never watch tv. Actually, TSCC is the only thing I watch. Though I am having hopes I can add Dollhouse to the list. We have enough reality crap shows as it is.
And as for being a browncoat, I am rewatching firefly (for the millionth time) on blu-ray. It stays great no matter how many times you watch it!

  19. Speaking of Dollhouse, any chance you’ll be creating any banners with both shows that we can put on our blogs now that it’s almost February? Something in different shapes and sizes, like this:

    http://drhorrible.com/resources.html

Those countdown widgets and the podcast are great, but don’t fit in most sidebars and don’t have any Eliza or Tahmoh. ;)

  20. Apparently there was a new ad on the UKs Virgin 1 channel last night that I would really like to see! Are they going to be airing it on FOX soon? They really need to start airing ads during American Idol, FOX, Bones… You know, the big shows for FOX.

The ad sounded really good, I wanna see it! Haha

  21. Ooops, I meant “House” not “FOX” for shows *blush*

  22. Don’t forget the biggest of them all, 24.

  23. I don’t know why people think that Some Must Watch is about Cameron. Because it says sleep? If Natalie and Denise’s prior episodes mean anything, I think it’d be more centrally about Sarah than Cameron.

  24. The Summer Glau Chronicles!!!

  25. this show really needs more of john and cameron, more of the connors working as a team, more of derek..

we really need a season 3

  26. I’m sincerely hoping Dollhouse is going to be as amazing as T:SCC. I’ve been a loyal Joss Whedon fan for several years now (I was till pretty young when Buffy first premiered) but I had time to catch up on everything i missed (buffy, angel and of course FIREFLY) I never get tired of watching Firefly over and over again.

Joss is BRILLIANT and if Dollhouse is anything like his other shows then we whedonites will certainly have something to look forward to on Friday nights…I think there should be a pledge for both shows…I’m taking one now!!

    T:SCC and Dollhouse, Sci-fi at it’s finest!

btw Fabrice right on!! I need my Jameron fix soon or i might go crazy!

  27. What, no more “Edward” in Ashley Miller’s name? Seriously though, can’t freakin’ wait!

  28. Yeah I’m looking forward to Dollshouse as well, sounds very interesting from what Ive read. I think that could be our only chance if Whedon fans and T:SCC fans team up and get the viewing figures up to a respectable number.

I also heard that Summer Glau could possibly guest star in an episode once shes done filming for T:SCC.

  29. No way!? Summer and Joss back together? Wouldn’t that be awesome!

Sounding off right here and now…

I pledge to watch both T:SCC and Dollhouse every Friday night for as long as both shows are on!

    –M.J.

  30. Those titles are making me happy. I’m thinking there’s some Sarah coming back into focus :)
