looking forward…

We’re taking a week off-air next week, but when we come back you’re in for a world of surprises. Curious about Weaver’s daughter? Wondering who Derek’s kissing? And where, oh where did Andy Goode’s The Turk go? All will be answered.

And as if you need even more incentive to tune into the show, a few other very special things (spoiler alert!) to look forward to in our coming weeks include more details on Derek’s past in the future, the return of the bloody list, episodes entitled Complications and Mr. Ferguson is Ill Today, a new obsession for Sarah Connor, and the inevitable meeting between James Ellison and the Connors.

Thoughts? Theories? Post away.

  1. can’t wait

    the best show on tv

  2. Okay, so you brought it up. Who is Derek kissing? Here’s one thought. He’s been involved with a chickie in the future (2027). Say she’s younger-ish than he is, maybe mid 20s. So in the here and now, she’s around 6, like Kyle. She has a mother, who is about 25. Like daughter, like mother, see where I’m going with this? Man, it’s frying my brain! Derek sees Mom and it’s deja vu all over again. Either that, or she is also time traveling, which I really REALLY hope is not true. Or - could Derek meet the mother in the here and now and father the girlfriend of the future? Oh, that’s just plain scary. And it’s been done before… Pardon, I’m free associating here… and ROTFLMAO!!

In any event, I am totally looking forward to more of Derek’s future, which is really his past… ??!!

    Thanks for playing ~~

  3. Excellent… my friends biggest complaint about this season has been the lack of focus on Andy Goode’s “The Turk”. Glad I can give him the news that you haven’t forgotten it and will be telling more stories about it. Keep up the great work!

  4. More details on Derek’s past in the future? Does that mean more scenes with Kyle Reese? I certainly hope so :)))))

  5. Can’t wait to see Ellison and the Connors meet!!!

  6. Corey (Thecolours)

“Mr. Ferguson is Ill Today.” lol, love it. It sounds like the storyline is getting more seralized, I hope that is the case. And when are going to get word on the back 9? Still waiting…nervously

  7. [...] First, the Official Blog offers some hints about upcoming episodes. [...]

  8. We already are pretty sure that Jesse is a Resistance member from the future. The question is how and why?

At one point she was described as a “rogue” Resistance fighter. What does that imply? That she came through the time machine without being asked - possibly like Cameron?

Does she know Cameron? Does she know the circumstances of Cameron’s trip back?

Or does it mean she doesn’t take orders - unlike Reese. That ought to go over real well with Sarah, who can’t stand not being in charge. How Reese, a First Lieutenant in the Resistance, constantly bows down to Sarah - despite her mythical status in the Resistance - is a bit bewildering to some fans. Grow a pair, Derek!

Meanwhile, it appears clear that the point of Catherine Weaver’s search for another Terminator is centered on Cameron. Why would she bother searching for just any old Terminator? She needs one who can “cross against the light” - and that’s our favorite love doll. Trust me. Somehow Weaver knows about Cameron and that Cameron has come back on her own initiative, having never been sent back by John at all.

My theory anyway. We’ll see just where Josh wants to take this. If he doesn’t take it in the direction of a self-aware Terminator with a sense of self-preservation, and the problems this presents the Connors of dealing with and tempering the determination of this Terminator to survive, I will be somewhat disappointed. If the Caminator turns out to be just another John Connor flunkie, that will be about as interesting as watching a show about one of those Dodge Ram trucks Derek seems adept at stealing.

  9. I remember reading an interview with Richard T. Jones on ScifiWire where he said that Ellison doesn’t meet up with Sarah first, but John and Cameron. According to him it sounds like they are a bit rough with him. Can’t wait to see that episode.

  10. Frack!! ~ if Jesse is indeed another time traveler, I will indeed cry, “Foul!” There are too d@mn many folk traveling back in time, and all concentrating on *this* particular moment in time. The time line of T1 and T2 has already been frelled up one side and down another. I need a score card to keep track of points! :-0

Derek’s got a pair, a very nice pair, he’s just biding his time. LOL! He’s a fish out of water currently, dealing with a civilization he hasn’t seen since he was 15, and the knowledge of a future he doesn’t want to ever see again. That boy has *issues* and will play second fiddle to Sarah until the time is right. :)

In the end, Judgment Day will come, regardless of who does what, just wait and see. Go ‘Catherine Weaver’!!! Mwahahahaha…

  11. I was worried The Turk got tossed out like the high school stuff… Glad the Turk’s back in play (and glad the high school stuff isn’t)!

  12. Two things about Derek Reese:

First, saying “First Lieutenant in the Resistance” instead of TechCom 1st LT does not make his rank and position seem higher, no matter how hot the actor is. In the future, he’s a squad leader, one of hundreds or thousands worldwide, not a colonel or general; he commands a few soldiers, not a battalion. Kyle, not Derek, was the one with the personal connection to John Connor, as we saw in “Dungeons and Dragons.” Derek’s a good gun, but there is no reason to assume he would feel entitled to command Sarah or John, no matter what their current ages. In “Goodbye to All That,” we see that Derek uses a softer, more effective touch in trying to reason with John. He’s seen that his past confrontational attitude doesn’t work, e.g., over destroying Cameron’s chip.

Second, I think Derek defers to Sarah because he knows she’s in charge of the “Baum family” unit. This was made pretty clear to him when he came to them and decided to stay. If he crosses her, he’ll just be frozen out, and they’ll move house without telling him. He’s useful to them, but not necessary like a terminator would be. And he knows that John and Cameron would not follow his orders over Sarah’s, so what would be the point of challenging for Alpha status?

  13. Perfect theme song for John Connor: THE STORY by 30 SECONDS TO MARS. It has a haunting sound and meaninful lyrics.

  14. i hope some of the stuff you’re talking about is planned for the “back 9″ — we’re still counting on FOX to make the right decision here!

  15. omj i cant wait but isnt the turk with weaver?

  16. Could it be that Cameron could be skynet or at least a main part of the programme. She appears to be developing emotions that could lead to self awareness and ultimately fear of humans and John. Link her chip with a computer like to turk and bang - self aware peaces of metal. I dont think that weaver looking for her. Yet anyway.

  17. First off: Love the show. Actually just got into it last week, but am now all caught up.

Second: Where is it said that Cameron came back on her own??? Is there some reason that John didn’t send her back, so she came by herself? I’m so confused!

Third: If Weaver is looking at Cameron, I kind of hope she doesn’t go bad again, at least not yet. I mean I’d love for John to save her again (I love the interaction between the two and am sad alot of that seems to have disappeared after the season premier), but I don’t see how Sarah or Derek would let that happen. They’d destroy her before John got a chance.

  18. Really great show. My favorite.

However, some consistency issues your writers should address.

    1. Why don’t the Connors go to the government for help? I mean with Camaron there would be no believability issues; at least regarding the existence of robots.

Suggestion: Be careful of too much time travel. Each time there is time travel a little
    credibility is lost.

  19. I like Terminator very much. so I hope FOX will not kill it. Thanks

  20. Besides getting more of Derek’s past, which is cool. I’m still curious as to what Cameron’s motive is. She kept one bar of that metal she destroyed in season 1 and she can decide if she wants to kill John or not. So all I’m asking is if she can truly be trusted as an ally.
“The future is not set, there is no fate but what we make for ourselves.” All in all T.T.S.C.C. is a good show and I look forward to the next episode.

  21. Catherine Weaver with a daughter? Whoa, does that mean she has a baby bot? or was the poor shumk who died (murdered?) in the helicopter accident (the one she refers to as her husband) actually married to her? She must of faked the pregnancy, but is the “husband” in someway actually the biological parent, or did Weaver snatch some poor soul’s baby? Can’t wait to see what happens on that one–poor kid (I have a feeling she’s real).

As for high school, I know there must have been a good story line behind that graffiti that caused a suicide. And Morris, I really wanted to see what happened with him and Cameron at the prom. And the mystery girl? Come on, is there going to be a book on what would have happened in the rest of season one, or anyway to get the scripts? I’m not one of the clever die-hard fans that seems to know how to get their hands on this kind of information. I’m just one of the average viewers who loves this show. I have the season one Blu-ray disk, which mentions that quite a bit of footage was shot on those story lines. Any possibility that it will show up on the season 2 blu-ray as a bonus disk? I don’t even care if the stuff is edited–just run the projector:) Love this show!

  22. i’m glad the series wasn’t cancelled. seriously folks, there was a nasty rumor that fox cancelled the show! some of us watch new episodes on hulu and it was all over the discussion board. i finally searched out this web site just to get the skinny. i was starting to wonder if maybe skynet/cyberdine hadn’t done something… okay, bad joke. i’m looking forward to more episodes, like the encounter between the connors and the fbi agent. i can see that spinning into several different areas. like agent ellis is clearly being used by shirley manson’s character, what happens when and if he finds out that she’s a robot? and what’s the story w/ the blonde girl at john’s school, y’know, the mysterious one from wichita that’s ‘locked down tight by her parents’? there’s gotta be some terminator teens running around there, cameron can’t be the only one! and now that the emt’s wife is dead (sob!) what’s going to happen between him and sarah? i mean, she’s hot stuff but girlfriend can be cold-hearted and callous when it comes to putting up barriers and boundaries! he might not stand a chance!! there’s got to be a love-interest for sarah … okay, i’ll stop right there.
thank you fox for not cancelling the show. i was really starting to think that the lunatics had taken over the asylum.
