On the eve of tonight’s big, super-sized episode, Goodbye to All That, we get a love letter from MSN and a glowing endorsement from io9 who declares it our “best episode yet.”

Update: Thanks to Jeck for a link to another love letter from new fan/friend of the family, Fred Topel, on Scifi.com. You guys are the best.

Update 2: Ace just linked us to another review of tonight’s episode. IGN calls it “pretty damn awesome every week, but is even more notable this time out.” Hey, thanks!

Of course you have to help out and check it out live tonight at 8PM on FOX!

You guys should have given out more preview copies to other sites. I can’t wait, sounds like it’s going to be a pretty sweet episode. It’s to bad though that game 4 between the Angels and Redsox is starting at 7:30 pm est tonight.

  4. Yea!!!!!!!!!!! SURE!

  5. Super sized episode! Whoo hoo!

It cracks me up that all these journalists are now on the SCC bandwagon and are writing love letters - so cute! :)

  6. Well, I’m loving it, too! Me - a dyed-in-the-wool, honest-to-goodness football fan - who will have no problem in the least missing the first quarter or so of MNF to see what the Connors and friends are up to! Really REALLY looking forward to tonight’s show. Those sneak peeks were awesome ~ bring it on!!

  9. I watched the clock countdown to tonights episode. I thought I would be able to watch it simultaneously on the computer. I’m not at home. Damn it!

    Is there live streaming anywhere?

  10. I hope they never cancel this show. It would be a great mistake to do that. This show has succeded where the third movie failed. So please FOX keep it around.

  11. “Goodbye to all that” was BRILLIANT!!! Bravo, truly 1 hour of pure entertainment. FOX you have given us good TV, DON’T MESS IT UP.

  12. This episode was great. Idk how many times i have watched season one on dvd. Show is so great!

  13. Great episode! This show is awesome. Keep up the amazing work!

  14. This episode was by far the best of the season. Like everyone else here, I truly hope this show continues. It’s been a fantastic ride so far and is easily the show I look forward to most all week. Keep ‘em comin’ guys! Great stuff! ;D

  15. The last two episodes were great! The show is great and Fox, pls don’t cancel! I’m a “older” female viewer and this show isn’t lost on me! There’s lots going on in each episode; cramming a lot into an hour, but it does come together well and, even though we all know the story, I can’t wait till the next episode and then the next, to see where you will take us next in this saga. Well done!

Great episode. I was wondering where you guys where going with the homework asignment. But, you brought it back full circle with “The Wizard of Oz.” Using Sarah as the narrator for the battle scene was brilliant. The voice over tied the two storylines together seemlesly and poetically. This episode proved that T:SCC can hold it’s own aganist any Emmy award winning prime time drama.

  17. This episode was pure awesome! I still loved S&D and AFP more, but if you’d thrown in some strong John/Cameron themes and more information on the origins of Cameron into this episode, it might be tied. lol. But that that wouldn’t work. Seriously, this episode is perfect as is. I loved it. The action was great, the future flashes were awesome, Bedel was instantly likable, Cameron and Sarah’s interactions with Marty were funny and cute, John’s character development was great, and the whole scene with the T-888 was fan-freaking-tastic! “The Wizard of Oz” was tied in so well and it was a nice reference back to “Gnothi Seauton” and John’s childhood. TSCC, for the win. You guys rock. My only complaint is that I now have to wait two weeks until the next episode. :)

  18. The best episode of the series so far. It was fantastic!

When Shirley’s characater picked up the nuclear plant worker at the bar, before delivering the tongue of death, was that Sherilyn Fenn guest starring? I couldn’t see any guest cast listings in the credits and cannot seem to find an episode cast listing anywhere.

  19. THANK YOU, DODGE!! If I had the financial ability, I would run out right now and buy a truck. :)

Great episode! Remember when The Virginian ran for 90 minutes? TSCC needs to do that, too. We need more future flashbacks. The Resistance is begging to be further developed and explored!

I hadn’t realized how much I miss Sarah’s commentary and voice over from season 1…it’s her story - her thoughts need to be incorporated. Bravo for having Marty and Sarah read from The Wizard of Oz while the chase was on!

Kudos to Brian for *being* Derek. Big brother, crazy uncle, badass soldier, PTSD and all. I love that character - could you give him a spin-off? LOL!

Despite those scratch-head moments (the *kid’s* name was in the phone book? Derek gets asked to be a TAC? no one recognizes the kid at the bus stop at the end…?) this was an episode par excellence. I will rewatch this one about as often as I watch Dungeons & Dragons. :)

  20. Seriously y’all, last night’s ep WAS FRAKKIN’ AMAZING. BAG is too, too good. Though that Wizard of Oz voiceover made me miss Sarah’s voiceovers again. C’est La Vie.

So Ms. Chavez-Jacobsen is coming up next week (er, 2 weeks)? Goody!

  21. Great episode!! Very haunting and effective. Love BAG as Derek. Love the future war scenes. I want more Kyle!!

  22. Last night’s episode was brilliant, almost as brilliant as last week’s. You painted this picture of all these different events, and brought them all together in a very scintillating big bang at the end.

I feel like on some level you had a lot to set up before you could achieve Full Awesome Velocity, and I’m happy to be one of the people still watching and reaping the rewards of loyalty. I hope other people stay loyal as well, you guys are worth it.

  23. I LOVE THIS SHOW. I am a recent convert (due to reruns playing while writers were on strike–same way I got hooked on 24). I’ve never felt compelled to write in about a show, but I’m so scared it will be canceled and removed from my life, I had to say something!! I am a mother of two, and after my endless day I will stay up watching SCC until 2AM. My only complaint is that it’s only on once a week. Now I watch the new episode of Heroes after I’ve replayed Sarah Conner a few times.

And I have to say, cheers to Dodge for really great, really edgy commercials–I always skip through them, but last night I actually watched all the way through. And I’m definitely not their target audience!!

    Go, show, GO!!!

  24. Yesturday’s episode was amazing. Every week I toon in faithfully to see what the writters can come up with next. Everyone one of you are amazing and incredibly talented. Great idea to use Jonathon Taylor Thomas as Kyle. Yummy, and a great pick..Every cast member on this show deserves an award..great job and keep it up..

  25. This show really is why i choose to watch TV! I am so tired of all the reality shows that keep popping up everywhere that I finally got a reward for waiting patiently to fill in the void that shows like Prison Break and 24 left. Now Terminator fills in the void and makes me want to see and experience more with them. I’m in for the ride by the long haul and hope that we have a long and fruitful life with Terminator: SCC!!!!

  26. Probably the best show I know of. Looking forward to it every week, it really touches me.

  27. The last remark Derek made to john in the latest episode sent shivers trough my whole body. Superb episode!!

  28. OMG This show is amazing!! The cast ROCK!! the story is awesome, summer is so buff!! Dekker is always looking kool in the leather jackets….and i love the little costume/story/background touches that link the show to the original films…..Terminator is the best franchise and tv show in the world!

  29. I thought that was a really good episode. For me, it captured the spirit of the first Terminator film more than any other so far.

I thought the T-888 in this one was good too. Had some Arnold overtones in terms of his look and mannerisms and it’s death scene reminded me of the ending of Terminator 1 too.

    Good job all round everyone!

  30. the lasta night episode was great!

john starts to became in a man and not in some reveld jerk

no more riley please, we don’t need her

  31. I really enjoyed this episode! Lots of the right elements to please terminator fans. Pace, guns, children in peril! Well done!

  32. One of the best episodes of the season. Great use of dual stories, both really compelling. Not been enough Derek this season and BAG is just brilliant. Good to see John showing some of his combat skills.

I really liked the relationship between Sarah and the boy. And Cameron was hilarious offering a bedtime story!
Great action packed story, no annoying neighbours/girlfriends! More Sarah voice overs please, I miss them Lena Headey is awesome!

  33. Kudos to the writers again this week. Love the parallel at the end to Wizard of Oz. Masterfully written.

  34. More of Cameron! More of her mix of Human and machine. More of the present day vs the future. Cameron makes the show. The rest of the cast is great but what keeps me watching is the Cameron character. Love the show!!!!!
