I read online that a lot of the school related storyline hit the cutting room floor due to time constraints. Is there any chance of a future special edition DVD release with those scenes, and other cut scenes being reconstituted back into the episodes?

I’ve got some questions posted in the 7/28 ComicCon Feedback entry.
After last season was shortened due to the writers’ strike, you said that the next episode in the works was one you really loved, one that would have been a great episode, but also one that would make a miserable season premier. So I was wondering: what happened to that episode? Did you just scrap it entirely, or rework it to make it next season’s premier, or what?

1) How many ?future? episodes are we going to see in season 2?
2)In season one; Derek Reese had the unfortunate experience of being captured by skynet, as seen in Dungeons and Dragons. Will we ever find out what exactly happened to him in the basement? And if so, will get to see it with our own eyes through a flash forward?
3)In all 3 terminator movies, and season 1 of Sarah Connor Chronicles, we have never seen present day John Connor fire a weapon at a person nor kill a human being. Is he even capable of taking a human life, knowing that one day he is destined to save humanity? Would the act of taking a human life make him a hypocrite?
Are there any limitations on time travel, as in can the resistance or Skynet send as many people back anywhere they want? How do you keep control of the various plot contrivances this creates?
Any remote chance that John and Cameron could maybe, possibly, harbour romantic feelings for each other? Pretty please? Or is Riley going to rain on the Jameron parade?
Will we see Morris in Season 2? If yes, will he take Cameron to the prom?
For Josh or anyone: Is the season still scheduled for 13 episodes? If more are pending for this season, approximately when would that be decided at FOX?
From what we’ve seen so far, the second season looks very ambitious, dramatic & exciting for the fans.
Are you still keeping some of the humor from the first season as well? It was a nice mix.

I’d like to ask if we will eventually see some romance for Sarah and/or Derek. I like John/Cameron as well, but I personally think that Brian and Lena have amazing on-screen chemistry together, and I definitely saw some underlying sexual tension between them in S1. They could be “soul mates” in a way…
I don’t want the show to turn into a soap opera, and romance in S2 would be too early to do, but are you going to go to that direction “eventually”?

Huge fan of the show. I think it ranks next to Battlestar Galactica for TV Science Fiction.
At the end of season one, we saw Cameron start a vehicle and it blew up…
My theory is that the explosion was not from a bomb but happened because Cameron (Summer Glau) is soooooooooo incredibly hot and it was a spontaneous combustion sort of thing.
Will we see another mention of the possibility that Sarah may develop cancer within the next five years and, if so, will Cameron ever tell John what happened in that alternate timeline?
How was the name “Cromartie” chosen? I know about the actual etymology but thought that it might be due to the homonym association with “chrome” - as in a terminator’s endoskeleton.

Here’s my question for you:
With all of the new cast members being added to the show, how difficult is it for your writing team to maintain the original purpose of the show which is to tell the story from Sarah’s POV? Will we continue to see the episodes unfold from Sarah’s POV or have you had to sacrifice her POV in order to alter the storytelling this season to include more of the characters and their individual arcs?

I love watching series 1, but got (slightly) irritated when I saw things that don’t seem to make sense, even in a universe where Terminators are traveling through time (at least not without an official answer to quieten the unruly speculation that goes on).
1) For season 2, will someone be keeping track of wound and bruise recovery for the humans (at least) - James Ellison was stabbed in the leg and then by the time of the raid on Cromartie/Kester his leg seemed fine, everybody seems to recover from injuries as if they are superheroes not human! For realism, I’d like to see cast members accumulating injuries as season 2 progresses unless its actually reasonable to accept that enough time had elapsed with suitable rehab for the evidence of their previous injuries to no longer be apparent- helps gives the viewer a timescale for events. (If someone contacts me I can probably source some literature to provide guidelines)
2) Are the writing team putting together an encyclopedia of the Terminator Universe in an attempt to avoid (unexplained) inconsistencies and to which they can quickly refer to it if they want to know if things can happen without too much suspension of audience disbelief?
3)How do terminators other than Cameron maintain their soft tissue? Do T888s eat too?
4)Will the Connors ever realise that shooting terminators with lead bullets is about as effective at stopping them as throwing water balloons? Will someone on the creative team be trying to think of more effective ways to stop terminators.
5) Would Sarah Connor ever decide Cameron was lying when she said she died of cancer in the original time line or would she fully accept that time travel cures cancer?
6) Would Skynet ever attempt to further pollute the time line by purposefully planting terminator technology in the contemporary time period?
7) Would Skynet ever be conducting any operations in countries other than the United States?
9) Since Cromartie is laying down when he is first seen in Season 1 Episode 1, does that mean Cameron will one evening go to bed?
10) Do terminators use soft tissue structures (like vocal chords) or something like a speaker to make their various voices.
11) If a triple 8 terminator had to infiltrate a disco (like the Arnie terminator in the first movie) would he be able to keep rhythm, or we he be as “smooth” as the Arnie terminator?
12)If triple-8s are so named (I’ve heard) because of their three core redundancy design, why does it seem to only take the removal of one of them to deactivate them?
13) If sudden electrical surges can cause a 120 second outage in a terminator would the Connors attempt to exploit this more often in Season 2?
14) When the money recovered from the safe house in Season 1 runs out, how will they stay funded? Will Sarah Connor return to waitressing?
15) Would Sarah Connor ever make crepes instead of pancakes, or will that be Cameron usurping her role?
16) Would anyone (I mean an onscreen character) evaluate the performances so far of the Connors at achieving their stated goal, and Cameron at hers? Is this where John realises he has got to change to become the leader of an effective resistance?
17) Do terminators communicate with each other only in human language or do they network wirelessly (and so why don’t we see more evidence of them working in teams)
18) When that Vick terminator was burned/melted/vapourised at 2000 degrees by Cameron, how come the shed roof didn’t catch fire, and what happened to the power cells that one might have expected to make huge explosions?
19) After the FBI finish their CSI bit, would they have managed to recover (off the wall) the formula for making terminator synthetic blood and have samples from the u-bend in the bath drainpipe. Will any resistance fighters be worrying about the possibe effect of that sort of thing in hastening Judgment day?
20) Would Cromartie/Kester get a girlfriend or a boyfriend to help him stay undetected by the law enforcement teams?

I’ve heard that FOX is going to show the entire second season in one week, and that will be all that we’ll get of TSSC. Is this true?
I had an idea for you(the scc-people), to think about, due to the Promoes of second season makes it look like Cameron goes bad as they say, has caused some whitespread nervousness regarding Cameron and the seemingly hard times there is ahead of her(Cameron), So I was wondering if you were to work on a episode around or on the 24 July? the birthday(as far I know) of Summer Glau(Cameron), so was thinking if they could let the episode spand that day, and the day before, and let John(Thomas Dekker) say they should hold a buildday(birthday for robots) for Cameron on that day(24 July)in the show. Now I know we are over the 24 July, but if it has not been done, then I think it would still be a sweet thing to do for Cameron, and hopefully let it(the buildday be 24 July, if she(Summer says it is ok) if you chose to do so. Maybe you have heard about the idea before, from someone else, or maybe not, but just a thought I wanted to share.
Would just like to say a little late I know happy Birthdayday for Summer hopes you could/would send it to her.

Great show! But I just wanted to mention this…I saw an interview where Summer Glau says she knows who’s gonna die in season 2. Usually that’s bad news for the person knowing it, in this case Summer. Reminder…don’t kill off Cameron, if you kill her you kill the show!

Its so nice to know you can talk to the actual writers of the show. And to know they actually write back! I’m new to this whole wiki thing, but i find it very very cool. It’s like we’re part of it…so cool…ok..anyways..my questions:
I know last season ya’ll were cut short because of the WGA strike and ended with 9 episodes instead of 13. The last episode, “What he Beheld.” Ended ellison surviving cromarties rage, cameron being blown up, giving the chola a gun… Jeez!! Talk about a lot of cliffhangers. ok…
Q1. Now that ellison has seen an actual terminator in action…will he join the connors and fight? Protect them?
Q2. We all know Cameron is coming back(saw her on the pics of Season 2).. She’s bad now! Will there a new “good” terminator?
Q3. Since the spanish crew got terminated and the only survivor was the chola, will she play a part in season two?

Great to see you at Comic Con! Thanks for being so kind on Friday for offering to relate my question to Lena during the panel - then when I was in the Q&A line, I promptly changed my mind and asked Lena about her tattoos instead!
But here’s my more serious questions:
Derek mentions in What He Beheld that Sarah has never killed anyone before. (I watched the first two films again and realized that it’s true - Sarah is great at squashing Terminators but we never see her actually kill another human being.) What effect do you think that will have on Sarah when/if that happens? Would she think it’s justified if she were to kill another to save John’s life?
It’s hinted that in the second season, John Connor will become more of a man and less of a teenager. Will Sarah would be proud of him going through this transition? Or would she be like a mother going through the growing pains of feeling a bit left behind if her son grows up into the leader she’s trained him to be?
I’ve got another one - will we continue to have Sarah narrate the opening and close of each episode? I think they’re really lovely writing and I think it’s a nice nod to the movies.

So, they used “The Man Comes Around” by Johnny Cash in the finale episode “What He Beheld” which I hear was the original name for the episode. Will they use more songs like that? new and old? will you use the terminator theme song? how will season 2 start (with a recap? with music)?

How come in the UK we get just the delete scenes but with the Blu ray and the USA version of the best show on TV they get interview etc. I mean i love the DVD as i got it the first day it came out, are you going to bring out another DVD box set of the show for fans that haven’t got Blu ray so that they can see the interviews etc so instead of 3 disk bring it to 4 with all the other things on. But bring on season 2 we love the show!!
