Joshua Jackson, I hope you get a twitter page soon —There are so many ‘fake ones!’ on there.
Cannot wait until the new season starts… I’m already frothing at the mouth over it!
*Smiles*
there is nothing more annoying than seeing idiotic twits on my TV while I’m trying to watch a show. you’ve lost me as a viewer.
Take this F$#King tweeter of my TV!!!
I paid to watch TV and Not WATCH THIS FU%KING twitter shit STUFF!!!
Pissed OFF!
keep the twitter crap off the TV screen - are you people crazy
Today was the first time I actually sat down to watch one of your episodes (9/3/09). Thought it might be interesting to actually give it a chance. Then I saw your stupid tweaks on the screen.
What makes you think I want to read this crap while I’m trying to watch your series? In any event, I immediately changed the channel and I will not bother watching your crap again.
Bill
turn off the twitter crap. i’ll go to cbs
come on guys…quit with the twitter already! It’s really distracting from the show. How old are you guys? 2?
Get rid of the tweet crap broadcasted during the tv show. It is annoying, distracting, and useless.
The tweets are a really stupid idea. They are very distracting and cover up 1/3 of the show. NEVER do something like this again.
Please cut this twitter on the screen garbage!
What’s with the TV screen twittering. Could you be any more annoying? I am out of here, let me know when you are done with posting twitter comments on my TV screen and I will watch Fringe again.
Until till then, you can find me at CSI reruns.
Please stop tweeting all over this show.
It is HORRIBLE!!!!
This is stupid. I watch the show to see it not have crud come up and cover the show. This is as bad as pop up ads on the computer but at least I can block them!!
This is very distracting. My husband, who loves the show, is worried that this season every show will have half the screen covered by “tweets”. It is distracting and annoying. Fringe is one of the only shows we like to watch, and if the tweeting continues, it may not be watchable anymore unless we catch an episode online (very unlikely).
Ok, the twitter on the screen is just too annoying. Might lose this viewer.
I don’t care if its a repeat from last year.
Stop the stupid tweets.
Whats short for twitter? Twit!
If I wanted to read twitter while I am watching the show I would log on and do it. I am not going to watch the show because I can not stand seeing the twitter on the screen.
Why are earth are you making it impossible to watch Fringe by flashing dumb text across the screen? Sorry, I can’t concentrate so I changed to ABC. I be back only if tweeting stops.
PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! TURN THE TWITTER OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Get off my TV! Very distracting while trying to watch the show.
Please stop the “TWEETS”. Bad idea. Really distracting. Even on a re-run. We just turned you off.
Take this Twitter crap off of the screen. You took what was a good show and added absolute crap to it by adding Twitter. It distracts from the show’s story line, content, and obviously caters to the people with no lives. Dump the Twitter crap!
Tweets in the middle of the tv screen are useless and distracting chatter. Get it out of the way or take it offf. If people want to tweet let them but don’t post them in the middle of the screen. You will lose viewers. Me first!
Turn this Twitter Tweet crap off! I can’t watch the show… It’s awful.
Finge is one of my favorite shows, and smearing this drivel over the bottom 1/3 of the screen is just annoying and ruining our viewing enjoyment.
Stop it.
I’m a huge fan of Fringe but absolutely HATE the Tweet messages that are RUINING tonight’s rebroadcast of a show I’d missed. So much for being able to catch it. This is a very stupid marketing idea — someone forgot that if a show is popular, it’s because people like to WATCH it, not have the show continually interrupted every second with intrusive and very difficult to ignore text. Please never do this again. You’ll lose viewers - because I can’t be alone.
Get that chatter crap off the TV screen or I’ll never watch this show again! No one cares what you think- I just want to watch the episoide (WITHOUT anyone’s useless, unnecessary ramblings…) I despise “twitter” and people who are delusional about their miniscule place in the world- STOP IT!!!
The stuff on the screen of the first show best not re-appear or it will be canceled from my wife and I watching.
It really sucks trying to watch a good show and there is freakin chat stuff on th bottom of the screen. it’s bull…. if I want to watch people chat I woul log on to my facebook but if we want to watch tv we should be able to do that without these kind of juvinile distractions!
PLEASE get rid of the live twitter. It’s very annoying……PLEASE
Love the show and can’t wait for the new season, BUT the twitter is VERY distracting! Hope it doesn’t continue.
Please STOP the twitter…..It takes over 1/3 of our screen and we can not get into the show with all that crap on there.
Please please take it off….we shall not be watching the show anymore if this twitter stuff continues…
How disappointing that you are ruining the show for the senior citizens.
I, and my wife, were wondering how long we have to put up with the twittering twits on the tube. Or how do I turn them off. I do know how to turn channels and that is what will happen. This is annoying.
Get rid of that tweet crap onscreen or you’ve lost a dedicated fan!
Okay, trying to watch Fringe tonight. The Tweet stuff at the bottom of the screen is driving me and my husband crazy. PLEASE at least give us the option to opt out of it… it is SO obnoxious!!!!
I was really psych to see Fringe again. Now that you messed it up with all your stupid tweeter messages all over the screen I’m sure I’ll never watch it again. Thanks for riuning a good show.
I made the mistake of trying to watch Fringe onTwitter night. I could not watch and read at the same time so I will not tune in again
Well, just my opinion but twitter appearing on the screen while you are watching a show is annoying. If this is your plan for fringe this year, you have lost a Viewer.
I just started watching this show and frankly, that ongoing conversation (that takes up almost half the screen) is just annoying. I wanted to watch the show, not people jabbering to each other.
Please get twitter off the tv screen so we can watch the episodes!!
You are spoiling the enjoyment of watching a TV show.
Get this TWEETing crap off the picture or I will simply follow a different show on a different network. It is stealing from the show! Isn’t TWEETing for the computer anyhow??????
OK - this is a new low. Looks like a rip-off of “Pop-up Video”. I have turned it off, and will refuse to watch anything similar in the future. Now to email the networks and sponsors.
YOU DON’T BELONG ON TV
I am very upset about having twitter comments distracting me from watching my favorite show: Fringe. If people want to follow the tweets on the show, they can go on line while the show is on. Please don’t destroy the enjoyment of the rest of the world of fans who watch because we really enjoy the show itself and do not want to share the screen with aimless tweets.
I am getting a headache watching this episode with those annoying tweets popping up. Too bad. Looks like a good episode.
Stop it!! The tweets are stupid and take away from viewing the show. Whoever thought this up needs to give his blackberry a rest and enjoy watching the show!!
I’m begging you… PLEASE quit it and let me see the show! If poeople want to tweet about the show… do it on their own phones… don’t subject me to it… PLEASE
What’s with this Twitter crap during the show? There are enough distractions during shows as it is with logos and promo pop-ups constantly in the way. Now we have to deal with this Twitter bullshit.
Why not do the twittering during the commercials - Oh right, we don’t want to offend the almighty advertisers (also no logos or promo pop-ups during their commercials).
Enough already!
I REALLY DO NOT enjoy watching these bubbles pop up–please don’t do this again!!
I do not want to watch people twittering while I watch TV. Poor experiment.
please turn off the tweets It makes it impossible to watch
If this tweeter thing is going to be a normal occurence I will have to stop watching. This is a favorite progam of mine and the stuff at the bottom of the screen is distracting.
The twitter on the the screen makes the show almost unwatchable. Why would you wantr to do something this annoying. Plus the cursing is not family friendly either.
The wife and I have decided because of the Twitter we will change the channel. Too bad because this is a good show.
Please, the twitter chatting is taking almost half the TV screen. Use TWITTER online and not on TV. I want to watch the episode, not to see people chatting.
Jerome Berube
I love this show but I really do not want to follow other people’s twittering while I am trying to watch a show on television. I do all the social networking I can stand during the day! I watch this and other shows to get away from that type of communication.
If folks want to twitter about it - great, but please dont make those of us that want to just watch the show have to watch this also! It is extremely distracting.
I don’t want this subtext on my TV
QUIT THE TWEETS. I WANT TO WATCH THE SHOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Please take it off my screen!!! I enjoy watching the actors and reliving the storyline. The “twitter” takes up more that half the screen covering the bottom of the actors faces. If I get a vote…..TAKE IT OFF. Let me relax and watch my show in peace without a running commentary.
This Twitter trick is ruining the viewing pleasure of watching Fringe. This is outrageous. I was so glad to see it on this week’s schedule just to have you ruin it with this grotesque gimmick.
If this is your plan for the coming season, you have lost one loyal household.
I really like your show but this twitter thing is awful. I did not see this the first time and have turned it off due to the twitter thing.
Stop the screen twitter. I pay for cable to watch the show, not the twitters!!
I tried watching the show on sept 3 and I hated it. I do love the show but it was wrong to put that tweeter crap on with it. That tweeter shit is a distraction, and as much as I like the show if you put that crap on new episodes I will get as many people to stop watching it as I can thru every means available! It is WRONG WRONG WRONG WRONG WRONG!!!!!! Please don’t make me go to that extreme
This is the 1st time I watch Fringe and I thought it was great. Till the twitting started and would not stop. It is annoying. Bored people should go to a chat room or some thing. I guess I will not be one of your fans. I can not stand to watch the twitting back and forth. Good show, maybe one day it will realize twitting is not the way to go. Bye it was nice for the 1st 10 minutes.
I hope this twitter garbage flashing on the screen is not going to be a regular thing!
It’s quite annoying!
You have to STOP THIS NOW. Let me watch this without network-selected Tweets. What a bad idea. You have to be kidding. This is torture.
Get this distracting twittering banality off my tv screen!
HATE THIS. STOP IT. WILL NEVER WATCH AGAIN IF YOU KEEP THIS CRAP UP>
I love Fringe, but this twitter crap is just too much. had to turn to CSI instead.
MOST INTRUSIVE AND ANOUYING THING TO BE DISTURBED BY POP UPS I N MY TV
WILL NEVER WATCH THE SHOW AGAIN!
we loved the show and were glad its back, BUT hate the fact you are putting all that Twitter on the screen so we are distracted from the show on TV.. Stop it, or I can name 4 people who will changes chanels… db
WHAT THE HELL HOW DO I WATCH THE SHOW WITH ALL THE BS ON THE SCREEN
STOP THE TWEETING!
get the >>tweet << off the screen! put it somewhere in another parallel universe. let me watch the show - at least the commercials were left alone!!
subtitles / secondary audio is good because you can turn it off …
“tweat peat” the most intrusive thing I have ever seen. I certainly hope that this is NOT to be any sort of trend. If so, I shall miss watching the show.
Do this sort of thing out of sight of fans, in other words, keep your foolishness to yourselves, I tune to the show to watch the show, I have zero interest in reading anyone’s comments..
The twitter conversation had to be the most annoying thing I’ve ever been asked to endure during a tv show. I was watching the rerun because I didn’t see the first run. Not only was it annoying, it was something that kids shouldn’t see. There was one line from one of the guys writing that said, “are you telling me walter makes john his bitch”.
That was really nice. That was the point I changed the channel. There is no tv show that is worth the annoyance or the vulgar comments.
Apparently you folks at fox or twitter hadn’t thought this out.
Alright, i’m almost certain that this is the wrong place to make this comment, but here goes:
Whoever came up with this idea that posting tweets on the TV is dumb as fuck. Tweeting about the show on a website is fine, on Twitter, also fine… write a booka bout how you feel, just for gods sake please do not post your conversations on the damn TV, If you care about the show, you want to watch it, and o i dont know, maybe pay attention. Myself, and numerous friends of mine, are tired of being disturbed by these ramblings.
So here’s to me asking nicely to keep your conversations off the air.
Sincerely
Just Another Fan
Lose the tweeter on Frindge. It sucks. I want to watch the show. Not hear about what people love or hate or what they like about NYC. I love show but will not watch it if this continues
I don’t like the “tweets” on the TV screen - they detract from the show -
we don’t need to watch mundane conversations between observers who can’t carry on decent conversations.
Please don’t ruin a great show by putting a distracting bunch of messages which are written by people who are more intrested in hearing themselves talk than enjoy a really good show. You are not being fair to those of us who are into each epasode of the Fringe. It blocks one third of the screen. Everyone here agrees if you are going to continue this we will switch to a different program. Not happy
Get the twitter off of my tv!!!
Worst idea ever..totally ruined my husband’s and my favorite show!!!
Tweets take up half the screen. Can’t enjoy the show. Don’t really care about everyone’s comments; can’t even stand my husband’s talking during the show..but this is worse!
What’s with Twitter during the show? There are enough distractions during shows as it is with logos and promo pop-ups constantly in the way. Now we have to deal with Twitter?
i was watching fringe, i was very upset when all that tweet-peat crap filled up half of my screen on tv and couldn’t watch the show.
sorry it is not funny and i turned my tv on another channel.
i love the show, but not with tweet-peat stuff all over
don’t know if i watch again
NO…
No…
NO…..
pop-ups are bad enough on TV… leave the tweets where they belong
NOT ON MY TV……
gentlemen, I was very interested in watching the show as I have not watched it before. I won’t be back! After watching the principals in the show “twitter” each other all through the show, I am done. That is offensive, rude, and distracting to the viewer, especially when their conversations are splashed across half of the screen. I’m sure that the actors appreciate your twitters when they are trying to act. The show sounded like an interesting concept, but I feel certain that many more than I will leave the show. Take your conversation offline. It’s much more appropriate. If you keep this format up, I’m sure your season will be limited.
Stop the Twiiter. I turned of the show it was sooooo annoying. Can’t even enjoy it with all the twitter crap on the screen. What were you thinking? Are you insane?
i should be able to not have the tweets showing on the tv. i am not going to watch the show if it continues. i blocks almost 1/2 of the screen so you don’t see the whole picture. if you want to tweet, use your computer, handheld or iphone. I DON”T LIKE IT!!!
You have ruined Fringe , It is unwatchable with this twitter crap. Shame it WAS a great show.
reading tweets while trying to watch the show is extremely annoying! Please don’t do this again!
I LIKE “FRINGE” BUT THIS IS THE MOST ANNOYING THING I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED WHILE TRYING TO WATCH A SHOW. I HOPE THIS IS THE ONE AND ONLY TIME OR I WILL NOT BE ABLE TO WATCH IT AGAIN! IT IS WAYYYYYYYY TOO DISTRACTING.IF I WANT TO KNOW THIS STUFF I’LL GO LOOKING FOR IT - DON’T FORCE IT DOWN MY THROAT. IT RUINED THE SHOW FOR ME…ARGGGGG
We are watching your program “Fringe’ 9:00PM plus and why are you promoting
“The fringe/Tweet Peat “on 40% of the screen which distracts from the viewing
public as it shows conversation between two parties with pictures etc. It takes
away from the primary presentation and this is not what you intended, is it?
Please explain but without “It was a mistake.”
Love the show but HATE the onscreen twitter; stopped watching because I found it irritating to loose a large part of the screen to the ramblings of the desperate aimed at the limited
Keep twitter garbage off TV
JJ and crew, you assume too much….this is an episode I have not seen and the tweets are breaking my concentration. I can’t be the only Fringe Fan ready to turn the channel. Have mercy on the purists who still enjoy watching the show on a TV…….tweet or blog on the website while the show is on, then we all get to enjoy! Looking forward to the new “tweet-less” season!!
Pretty annoying. Lose the twits…
I thought this twitter stuff during the episode was soooooooooooo annoying. I hope this does not continue during the season..or you will lose me as a fan!!
Please, stop the twitter crap. WHo do you people have for producing this show. It would be OK if not forthe sad distraction.
the twittering was so very annoying…….hated having it in my face while i watched the show
Fringe: I couldn’t turn off the twitter, so I turned off the show.
I tried to watch the re-run on tv tonight but the tweeter conversation made that impossible. I hope this will not be a regular annoyance. Talking to the characters is fine but not during a broadcast. Will this be continued?……Fagin
What little peanut brain at Fox decided to take a good show and cover up half of the screen with tweets that no one cares about. You are going to take a good show and ruin it with this stupidity .
It was Robert Johnson. Sold his soul to the devil. Read ‘Reservation’ by Sherman Alexie, good book by a Native American author..
I have found this blog extremely painful. It occupied half of my tv screen. I could care less about what other people think!!! I like the show, and trust that others do as well. But this intrusive BS, taking up half of the picture is just that, BS
All the Twitter crap during Fringe was terrible. If it continues I will not be watching the new season. Is the person who thought this idea up still employed, because he/she shouldn’t be. Please don’t ruin a good show with cheesy, junk TV like this.
I really don’t like the tweeter during the broadcast on the screen. It’s just banalities and it takes away from the show.
SERIOUSLY??? SAVE TWITTER FOR TWITTER!!! WHAT IN GOD’S NAME WOULD COMPEL YOU TO TWIT ON MY TV SCREEN??? HORRIBLE!!!
Leave the Tweet crap off.. its so really stupid… I want to watch the show, not people’s retarded comments about it.
Having the twitter show up during the show was terrable idea, too distracting!! Pleae do not do that again, made me turn it OFF, Glad it was a rerun
I sure hope this tweet thing is not going to be on every episode…..VERY ANNOYING!!!! It’s bad enough that we have to deal with all the other pop-ups all the time for other shows etc, then to have to loose almost half of our screen with the tweeting!!!! If this is a permanent thing I quit watching…….
I can not believe fox would deface episodes with this Twitter garbage. It ruins the show. How can anyone be emerged into the story when this crap pops up.
Yes…. I know I can always turn the channel….. and I think I will. Sorry Fox, you just lost a view tonight.
BB
The Fringe Tweet-peat was fun! Great to see the cast all geared and ready to go for season 2! Can’t wait to see the new season! Josh, what’s up? Congrats on the new season! (I met you at Brooklyn College and took a photo with you!) John, I also met you briefly as well! Great folks both of you! Quite a pleasure to meet you both! All the best for the new season and the seasons beyond!! This is a tremendous show which I hope lasts for a long time to come!
First I Love Fringe!! But to cover nearly half my TV screen with mindless Twitter dribble is really over the edge. If I want to play on the computer, I’ll do it on my own time. I should not be force to see it while I’m trying to enjoy the show. Please don’t do it again, it’s so distracting it just makes me want to flip to another channel & watch something else.
Keep that twitter crap off the TV screen…………………………………
My wife and I enjoy watching the show, however, we will not be watching anymore with the “on screen” chat going on. It may be a rebroadcast but we haven’t seen it and the chit chat on screen is truly annoying. You may have seen the episode so you and the cast canchit chat but there are those of us that try and see the episodes we haven’t seen to catch up. Is the on screen blogging really necessary? The majority of the viewers really don’t care what the weather is like in “VC”! If people really want to blog with the cast online is the place for that and not on network TV. I don’t pay the pricey monthly costs for satellite to see people blog each other. Sorry, but this is really irritating.
The tweets on the show are crap…..you are ruining the show.
Love the show - looking forward to the new episodes…..HATE the twitter thing - does anyone know if I watch the full episodes on the web if I can avoid them? - they take up the bottom fourth of the screen and are just distracitng!!
This twitter thing is a royal pain. It’s bad enough that this show is broacast in letterbox but then you have to take over even more of the screen with this twitter crap? I unfortunately missed this episode and apperantly am missing it again because I cant see the bottom half of my screen. This is an incredible show and my wife and I really enjoy it. But if this is going to keep happening you are going to lose me as a viewer. Please rething this stratagy, it really takes away from the show. Rerun or new.
I don’t pay the pricey monthly costs for satellite to see people blog each other. Sorry, but this is really irritating.
I love the show and really am eager for the new shows, but
STOP THE TWEETS!
It is intrusive and annoying and detracts from the show. If I want to Tweet about the show, I’ll do it, but I don’t want to see it on my tv.
Thx
Jerry
why are you ruinging the viewing of the show with the garbage on the screen
I RALLY love Finge, but if their gonna post Twittre@ the bottom 1/3 of every telecast - I’m gonna go back to watching Spernatral !!!!!
This tweet crap is incredibly annoying. It’s like listening to music surrounded by people talking through it “Oh, man, the next guitar lick is sooo sweet… wait… here it comes!”
Cut it out!
John Starrett
I hate HATE HATE this stupid Twitter crap. What trite garbage. I don’t want half the screen blocked with this crap. Don’t do it again. I don’t want to read these stupid little comments. Keep them off my tv screen or I’ll never watch Fox again!
I find the text at the bottom of the screen very annoying.
The Tweeter pop-ups was the stupidest, most distracting thing I’ve ever seen. I couldn’t watch a good re-run. It only took me about 30 seconds to change the channel. I hope that’s what you wanted.
DO NOT EVER PUT THAT TWITTER CRAP ON MY TV SCREEN AGAIN OR I WILL STOP VIEWING YOUR SHOWS !!!!!!
Hey, this Tweet crap covering the screen as I try to watch this Fringe show/episode is THE WORST! Whose bright idea was this? Thought I’d watch the show and catch up on what I missed; forget it. Too annoying. I’m changing channels. Good Bye…….. If you want to tweet, why put it on the TV????
Please don’t ever do that again. It almost completely ruined the episode. You should have more pride in your work than to cover it with small talk graffiti.
SEEING TWITTER WHEN WATCHING TV PROGRAM RUINS THE SHOW FOR ME.
I DONT TWITTER, YOU HAVE LOST A WATCHER OF ANY FOX PROGRAMS.
I hope that we will not be seeing tweets across the screen during all the new episodes. Not all fans enjoy tweeting and it is most annoying. Please cease to do this, I don’t watch the show to only be seeing half of the screen with other peoples opinions on the bottom half.
This tweet thing is absurd. I HATE trying to watch one of my favorite t.v. shows while huge comment boxes are scrolling down at the bottom of my screen. If this is the way every episode will be, I will NOT watch this show any longer.
Your Tweeter overlay had cost you a viewer and I can only hope the majority of viewers feel the same.
Good Bye.
Which idiot thought it would be a good idea to tweet during a showing of an episode ? You just lost most of your viewers.
If this Twitter stuff continues to be broadcast during any of the shows I will no longer watch, It is grossly distracting and ruins what promises to be a good show. This is teenage BS. My husband and I wanted to watch the show but he said this is crap got up and said turn it off and went to the next room to watch Fox news.
Very dissatisfied viewers.
We know you want to be cutting edge with the twitter on this re-run but it is detracting from the broadcast of the episode. We have enough things bouncing across our screen on different channels, we don’t need more to read. The show so great that it captures and keeps our attention every time. Please don’t do this again during the season or even the re-run season.
Bill and Gaea
For cripes sake…..Not everyone in the world tweets! I love Fringe, but I could really care less what Labdad or Peter Bishop have to say while I’m trying to watch the show…that I recorded…thank you very much!!! If the new season keeps it, you’ve lost many a viewer in our corner of AZ. Why would ANYone want their comments on a gazillion tv screens? Into ourselves, are we? It’s one of the really great shows left on tv…tweet on your own time!
WTF was that twitter doing on the Sep 3 show. That was the most annoying thing I’ve ever seen. Even worse than the overlay crap other shows use. You TV idiots need to know we hate that crap and it will drive us away from your medium.
I DID NOT LIKE THE TWEETING WHILE I WAS TRYING TO WATCH THE SHOW. IF THAT IS GOING TO BE THE NORM THAN COUNT ME OUT THIS SEASON. IT TOOK UP HALF THE SCREEN AND WAS TRULY ANNOYING NO MATTER HOW MUCH YOU THOUGHT IT WAS COO.!!! PLEASE TELL ME THAT THIS IS NOT THE FUTURE OF FRINGE???
COME ON THIS TWITTER CRAP IS NOT FOR WATCHING TELEVISION, IF THAT IS WHAT YOU [PLAN TO DO THAN COUNT ME OUT THIS SEASON.
tweeting during the show is stupid and irritating to watch. I was looking forward to catching the show as I missed this episode. The tweeting ruined it! I changed the channel.
really disappointed!!!!!!
hope this tweeter garbage does not happen again!!
will have no choice to stop watching my favorite show!!!
always got to have a new gimmick, always ruins a good thing!!!
just leave it alone!!
please
great show,, really good tv , no need for twitter twat garbage
Soo freakin’ annoyed with the twitter tweets taking up half of the tv screen on watching fringe episodes….time to change channels!!!
Seriously…twitter is THAT desperate to get a following. Give me a break!!!
If this happens at all on the new season….Fringe is going to be phased off my to-watch list immediately.
who the hell wants to see half the screen full a tweeter crap,. way to bury a TV series
Cannot stand trying to watch with that stuff popping up all the time. Changed the channel…
had to turn the channel wanted to watch but too dam anoying whats wrong with you people why do you want to turn viewers off like that
MAKE IT STOP!!!
You are ruining a great show, get this shit off my tv!
Cannot stand trying to watch with that stuff popping up all the time. Changed the channel…
STOP the tweet on screen. We are not going to watch anymore!!!!!
Will you get the hell off my TV screen w/ those tweets - I want to watch the show. I can’t imagine anyone, that really loves the show, would like to have a significant portions of the screen, obliterated by fake, scripted, tweets. Thank you. OBTW, if this happens again, I will change the channel.
The live TWEET has to go. I am going to turn to another staion. I like your show very much and have watched almost all the episodes even repeats. If the TWEETs happen again during the new season I will not watch your show. TWEET OFF
How do I get rid of the annoying Twitter crap on my TV when watching Fringe? I tuned in to watch the program not to devote half my screen to the idle conversions of people who have no life. If this continues with upcoming epsodes you will lose at least two viewers (me and my wirfe).
Fringe…. GET RID of the Annoying “Twitter” postings on the screen.
If you want our house hold to watch, then Drop the Twitter Nonsense.
How can you remove the annoying tweets from the screen….or just tweet on the screen during the commercials
Who’s lame idea was this anyway?
I tuned in to watch the show and have this stupid and annoying twitter junk on the screen. I want to watch the show, not be distracted by this other stuff.
If I wanted to follow someone’s tweets, I’d follow them on twitter.
Why bugger up the show for everyone.
I changed the channel because of this.
I hope you don’t plan on doing this any more in the future, I’ll stop watching the show for good.
PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Don’t TWEET ON THE T.V. Screen!!! I already turned the channel because of it. I’m not able to see the show. I’m So PISSED!! I was looking forward to seeing the show to. Tweet-le dee DUMB-est thing you could of done….KL
STOP TWEETING ON THE TV SHOW SCREEN. IT IS VERY DISTRACTING AND TAKES AWAY FROM THE STORY OF THE SHOW. IF WE WANTED TO TWEET WE WOULD DO SO. IT IS FORCED ON THE VIEWER AND UNWANTED. THE COMMENTS THE ACTORS SAY ARE UNINTELLIGENT, UNHUMMEROUS AND COMES ACROSSED AS THEY DON’T HAVE MUCH ON TO SAY. STOP TWEETING IT MAKES ME NOT WANT TO WATCH THE SHOW. A SHOW I USED TO LIKE TO WATCH.
stay off my screen.
I was seriously looking forward to watching Fringe tonight 9/3/09 but was totally nauseated by the fricken twitter bull shit covering up half the screen. So much for Fox tonight…
GET THIS TWEETER SHIT OF MY TV, IT IS VERY ANNOYING.
Not impressed with the on screen twitter . takes away from the show !! you’ll lose me as a viewer if it stays on.
I hate the tweet thing. I don’t want to watch all of the comments from everyone. Just leave the program as it is. Half of the screen covered with inane commets SUCKS!
I WON’T WATCH THE SHOW WITH THIS CRAP ON IT!!!!!!!!!!!!
How freaking annoying was that “Tweat” session. I watch this show because of the great acting, direction and the story line that keeps me on my toes. I don’t need the annoyance of a conversation about the freaking weather at the bottom of the screen. It is like doing the wave at a baseball game when the inning is going on. If you don’t get that then you have a real problem.
The twitter thing is taking up 1/3 of my TV screen. I hope you arn’t planning to continue the twitter crap during the new season. If so, I will probably have to find something else to watch during the Fringe time slot.
please stop twitting on my show i’ve waited long enough for “FRINGE”
WHAT A STUPID IDEA TO TWIT ON TOP A GREAT SHOW. IT WAS VERY DISTRACTING PEOPLE. WHAT THE HELL YOU ALL ARE THINKING. WANT US TO WATCH THE SHOW OR FOLLOW TWIT - REALLY, REALLY STUPID IDEA
STOP RUNNING TWEETS ACROSS THE SCREEN. IT’S RUDE AND DISRUPTIVE AND ANNOYING. I WILL NOT WATCH ANOTHER EPISODE IF YOU CONTINUE TO DO THIS - AND ITS ONE OF MY FAVORITE SHOWS.
I hope the twitter messages aren’t going to be a regular thing. It’s very distracting and I won’t watch the show if they are going to be doing this…
It is bad that it is a re-run to boot, but the tweets, come on, NOT ON TV.
PLEASE STOP THE TWEETS ON THE SHOES..VERY ANNOYING!
STOP SHOWING THE TWEETS ON THE SHOW..
Everybody is not on twitter and don’t care to watch the conversations on the bottom of my screen i cannot enjoy the show please stop
GET THIS TWITTER JUNK OFF MY TV, I DO NOT WANT THIS STUFF ACROSS MY TV SREEN.
I LIKE THE SHOW, BUT TWITS ARE MAKING IT HARD TO WATCH. I WILL NOT KEEP WATCHING ANY SHOW WITH TWETS IN THE WAY OF SEEING A GOOD CLEAN SCREEN.
LEAVE THIS JUNK ON TWITTER, NOT ON MY TV.
THIS IS A BAD IDEA, FIRE THE PERSON WHO CAME UP WITH THIS DUMB IDEA.
IF YOU WANT ME TO KEEP WATCHING FOX, DO NOT DO THIS REALLY BAD IDEA AGAIN. DUANE DUNPHY
YELM, WA. PHONE 360-894-1736
Are you going to keep this up during the new season? If so I will find another show to watch, this is extremely annoying and distracting. I don’t want to chat while I watch a TV program I want to relax and watch it.
HOPE YOU DO NOT DO THAT AGAIN. COMPLETELEY RUINED THE PICTURE. FRINGE IS MY FAV SHOW, BUT I WOULD NOT WATCH IT AGAIN IF IT WERE COVERED WITH TWITTER DEES!
Worst. That twitter crud was killing me. Keep it for web-rebroadcast.
Well that was silly. My wife came to me asking me how to disable this text that is popping up over the screen of her show “Fringe”. I told her it was the network doing it. She changed the channel.
Some rocket scientist decided to ruin the entire show with Twitter BS! What an idiot, we changed the channel and used to enjoy fringe. I have canceled direct tv, since you will not change your programming and delete this irritating twitter that takes up almost half the screen! I will tell everyone I know about this horrible decision that some one has made to get the show canceled !!! Thanks for destroying a good show! Harry Hydreos
Please do not continue this Twitering during broadcasts. It only serves as a distraction to what is one of the most interesting, intelligent and original shows in a long time. If the TWITS need to emote all over the web, then keep them on the net.
I think the twitter on the screen during this weeks episode was very interferring and disrupting to the program
Get the Twitt off the screen, I want to watch the show not the twitting.
Just one message:
TAKE THE FREAKING TWEET GRAPHICS OFF THE BROADCAST OF THE SHOW.
Oh, forgot this part: DEAR MORONS AT FOX.
Carry on.
Take a great show and devote 40% of the screen to pointless tidbits and musings meant to distract the viewer from the action on the screen. C’mon folks, how in the World was this approved???
Want tweets with your Fringe? Do it online, you know; where it’s *your choice* to participate. I, and 99% of the audience could care less and I guarantee you, those of us who watched walked away unimpressed. Check the boards - I’m not alone, this was an atrocious idea.
What an utterly ridiculous and distracting hour of television.
I will never watch this show again, twitter should stay on twitter, who cares if people sa hi, or those are good puffs during what used to be a good show. glad I tivoed it so I could go right to the end, good riddance to a show that was pretty cool.
So here I am, wondering what in the world is going on - calling Dish Network to tell them I cannot enjoy the television show because someone is instant messaging over the show. Imagine my surprise to hear that this annoyance is the FOX brainchild and that there is nothing I (or Dish Network) can do about it! I am totally disgusted with the idea of Twitter on “Fringe.” Are you serious? How in the world are we suppose to be able to watch the show - which is why we turn on the television - with the distraction of ongoing instant messages. I am certain I am not alone in my outrage over this. You’ve just lost me as a viewer…
FYI - the word “Producer” in front of J.H. Wyman’s name is misspelled.
I’m a fan BUT, who the idiot that put a tweeter screen on the Sept. 3rd show. It was so annoying that I switched to a CSI repeat
Fire somebody!!!!!.
No one pays over 100 / mo to a cable company for high definition and DVR only to see half of the program blocked but stupid tweets from people who don’t have a life. Stop the Twitter junk or make it optional - calling my cable company to demand credit for the hour that Fringe was unwatchable due to the stupid twitter stuff. I want to watch TV not watch idiots who need to see their names overlayed on top of what used to be a great show.
I found the Twittering very annoying. Took up half of the screen. Hope you will not be doing this during the regular program. The Networks already take up a portion of the screen with upcoming events or logos we don’t need anymore loss of screen.
I HATED THE TWITTER SCREEN AT THE BOTTOM OF THE SCREEN IN LAST NIGHT’S SHOW. I HOPE THAT IS NOT GOING TO CONTINUE VERY DISTRACTING
Your tweat peat really stinks…. Why bother showing the program with all these little popup boxes going on. Between this and the normal tv popups it was very annoying.
If this is done in the regular season I definitely will have to stop watching.
Why screw up one of the best shows on the air?
DONT EVER DO THAT AGAIN….
THAT TWITTER CRAP ON THE SCREEN…. HOW IS THE WEATHER IN VC… LIKE WHAT
ARE YOU PEOPLE THINKING…
I TUNED IN TO GET CAUGHT UP FROM LAST SEASON AND HAD TO CHANGE CHANNELS AFTER 10 MINUTES
I COULD NOT SEE ALL THE SCREEN AND I COULD NOT CONCENTRATE ON THE ACTION AND THE DETAILS
THAT I TUNED IN TO WATCH…
THIS WAS THE CRAPPIEST VIEWING EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD….
I HOPE YOU NEVER DO THIS AGAIN….
IF FOLKS WANT TO CHAT THEN LET THEM COME TO THE WEB AND DO IT HERE
DO NOT PUNISH ALL OF US FANS OUT THERE…. IF THIS HAPPENS DURING THE REGULAR
SEASON , ME AND ALL MY FRIENDS WILL NO LONGER BE WATCHING….
ITS A GREAT SHOW AND I WOULD BE VERY UPSET IF THAT WAS TO HAPPEN
DONT DO IT AGAIN………… PLEASE
I enjoy the show immensely, but found the tweeting silly and distracting as did my teenage children. Please stick to the standard format. Thanks.
I love the show and hate the twitter comments being shown as subtitles…It is very distracting from the storyline.
What the hell are you thinking Fox? If I wanted to be spammed with Twitter I would go to their site. Here’s an idea: instead of spamming EVERYONE with this garbage, simply mention that tweets can be followed on twitter. With the abundance of laptops out there people can still watch the show and be at a computer. I found this to be a HIGHLY annoying and obnoxious form of gratuitous advertising. Just stop it.
The tweet comments appearing at the bottom of the screen are very distracting. I will not continue to watch the show if this continues. I have been a big fan of the show but I need to limit my viewing to shows that I enjoy.
What was up with the twitter messaging back and forth accross the screen during last nights show?? Is this something that is going to be permanent? If it is I will not be watching anymore, it was very annoying and distracted from the show.
I found the twitter chatter to be extremely distracting and aggravating. It ruined the program for me. I hope that this type of thing is not going to continue.
I like this show, but this tweeting was too distracting on the tv. If Fox continues this I will no longer be watching re-runs, and I think a lot of other people feel the same way. Fox - put a voting option on your website and ask the viewers whether they liked it.
The twitter during last night’s episode was THE MOST ANNOYING THING I have ever witnessed. I like the show so much that I endured the twitter even though the show was a repeat, but it took every ounce of patience not to change to another channel. Please PLEASE do not do it again. See the comments on monstersandcritics.com. I’m not alone.
Very much looking forward to the new season, but if twitter in last night’s format becomes a regular part you’ve lost a fan. Perhaps the format was the problem. If the tweets hadn’t taken up half the screen, it might not have been so annoying.
Love the show! But didn’t care for the tweets. Viewers should have had a choice whether to show the blogging or not!
Some of the subject matter was just downright offensive…talking about someone making him his bitch…Totally unacceptable language. This just really took away from the power of the broadcast. I was looking forward to seeing this repeat and the tweeting ruined it for me.
I will no longer be watching if this continues.
Whoever came up with the idea of over-laying “tweet’s” on the 9/3 re-broadcast of
Fringe should be FIRED!!! Those of us with more than TWO digits in our IQ watch this show because because it’s entertaining and is produced with some real style and class. Over-laying Twitter was TOTALLY distracting and we turned it off. It’s a real shame xx Century Fox produces “some” really good shows and then airs them on their 4th rate TV network. If the other over-air channels were smart, they’d pick up these shows up and take them away from the Jerry Springer Network…
Guys that was a horrible thing to do to the show. You can enjoy the events with Twitter racng up the screen over half of the actors faces. Twit about the show afterwards. Please please please do not do that again.
Grant Workman
I know some people will like this sort of thing, but I hated it. I was so excited to see the shows again before the new season starts, but then a 1/3rd of my screen was filled with tweets. It made it impossible to enjoy the show so I turned the channel. I know this is a gimmick to try to get more people to watch reruns, but it actually made me turn away. Please don’t do it again. I think the show is great and you don’t need to do this sort of thing.
CORRECTION, You can’t, can’t enjoy the show with that on the screen.
Grant Workman
I watched about 1/2 an hour of the episode yesterday and I’m sorry to say that I did not like seeing the comments pop on the screen. I don’t care what people think, I just want to watch the show. It was as annoying for me as subtitle. Is it going to be like that from now on ?? Regards,
The Twitter thing was one of the most obnoxious things I have had to endure.I have only a scant idea what happened in the story line.
I really like the show but that Twitter line distracted me .
If it continues I will DIS-continue watching the show.
I never thought I would look forward to a commercial. I did last night!
I really love Fringe! I was quite disappointed last night when FOX decided to run “Tweeter” comments on the screen. It was annoying and distracting to the show. Please cease this annoyance and let the viewer enjoy the show and concentrate on the details.
Who’s idea was it to over lay tweeter blog on the actual show telecast? In our opinion it was absolutely stupid. I watch the show regularly and think you kids would be better served to do you tweeter stuff where it belongs…online. Or pick up the phone and save the rest of us the irritation of your rambling. I finally had to turn the off it was so annoying.
Who’s idea was it to over lay tweeter blog on the actual show telecast? In our opinion it was absolutely stupid. I finally had to turntit off it was so annoying.
With all due respect to the producers and actors that particpated in the tweet-peat episode, I found the onscreen dialogue to be very distracting and boring. I changed the channel within five minutes of the tweet session. I know that fans very much enjoy the opportunity to interact with the folks that make the show possible, and I am very grateful that you continue to make yourselves available to the fans. But last night’s format did not maintiain the interest of this viewer or the rest of the household.
Best wishes, for continued success. And many thanks to Fox for taking chances on shows in an otherwise market plagued with mediocrity.
Please turn off the twitter. I started to watch Fringe last night to refresh my memory a little bit before the new season starts. After about 2 annoying minutes of all the twitter, I quickly changed the channel and watched a rerun of Magnum PI. My husband and I both love Fringe, but if the twitter keeps up into the new season, we won’t be watching anymore!
This “tweet” thing is for the mentally impaired! It completely ruined the program with the inane, childish, stupid comments from both the public, and the actors. Who cares about the COWS?
I watched this show last season because it ws entertaining, but if this is to be a regular part of it I’m definitely switching channels!!!
This tweeting thing is best left to the Sesame Street crowd.
OMG . . . WTF !!! I absolutely HATED the twitter episode. Let people follow along on their computers if they want a play by play on the show. Let the rest of us see the whole screen !!! People complain about the ads in the bottom corners of their screen, the tweet stuff took up half the screen !!
I changed the channel and hoped that the new episodes would start soon.
i FOUND THE TWEETER CRAP TO BE VERY DISTRACTING AND REALLY DISTRACTED FROM THE SHOW. iT TAKES UP HALF OF THE SCREEN. IF WANTED TO READ AND HERE PEOPLES OPINION I WOULD JOIN A BOOK CLUB
I’m no newcomer to technology, but having that twitter dialog onscreen during this Sept 3 episode replay was so annoying I had to change the channel. I hope this will not be a regular on the new season. At least follow the lead of “Lost” and but the text on a banner at the bottom of the screen, not plastered across the actual scenes.
The tweeting on the episode last night was the WORST idea in the history of TV. It made the show unwatchable and I usually really like Fringe. I WILL NOT ever watch it again if the tweets continue. Thanks.
When I turn on the TV I expect to watch “Fringe”, not some Tweet crap. Who cares what LabDad thinks? Let him go to the internet, not the TV. I followed Fringe last season, but if the Tweet freaks are on the Tv program again like last night, it is “goodbye, Fringe” for me.
Twitter is great, but I found it to be a tremendous distraction. I wanted to re-watch the episode to fill in anything I missed first time through. It was impossible to pay attention to what was going on.
Don’t ever pull such a stunt again. The cluttering of the screen with idle twitter was so distracting and annoying, I abandoned watching mid-episode. In future, please reserve such stunts to closed-circuit, A.D.D. audiences. If it happens again, you will certainly lose this heretofore faithful fan, and, I suspect, many more.
Robert Kopelson
Well - I’ll tell you ONE thing! This is the first Fringe I have watched. I wanted to check it out - but that dang texting box is SOOOO distracting - that I will NOT watch Fringe again!!! I can’t even follow the story!!!
The twitter is just a horrible idea. It was annoyingly distracting and the comments were plain dull.
I sincerely hope you don’t plan to continue this into the new season. It makes the show unwatchable. I could only stand five minutes last night and then turned it off. I can wait for the DVD if you twitter during the new season.
The twitter’s going on during the show was horrible, please do not ever do that again.
REALLY HATED YOUR TWITTERING DURING THE RERUN OF FRINGE. SOME OF US ACTUALLY LIKE TO WATCH THE SHOW WITHOUT ALL THAT CRAP WITTEN ALL OVER THE SCREEN. DO IT AGAIN AND YOU WILL LIKELY LOSE VIEWERS LIKE US.
Very distracting. Ruined a good show. gave up watching at around 11 minutes.
If you plan on doing this next season you’ve lost a viewer and a fan
chad
Why are you broadcasting twitter messages over the top of the Fringe program picture. That is very distracting and it is stupid. What do I care what these people are saying. What twit came up with this idea.
whole family watched show last nite….2 teenage boys, mom and dad.
gotta tell you…love the show but HATE the tweets…we were so irritated with them taking up 1/3 of screen and distracting us from following the show, we all said we would never watch again if we had to go thru that one more time.
not sure what your plans are, but i wouldnt do it again..the show requires so much attention to detail to follow it, that having things all over the screen and silly comments on tweets, is a total distraction…we almost just changed the station.
i am 46 and have a company,,,so NO time to waste but still taking time to tell you..dont do it anymore…or we wont stick with the show when it starts!
signed- love the show, hate the tweets!
I personally did not care for the comments on the screen, it was distracting and blocked a third of the screen. I hope that this is not a preview of things FOX is planning for future shows. I love Fringe but I do not care to read captions all night,
Watched about 10 minutes of last night’s show. I am a twitter person as well as a Fringe fan but I have to tell you the tweets were really annoying. They took up what seemed to be over a 1/3 of the bottom of the screen. You have one of the most compelling shows on TV these days. So much so that I don’t want to be the least bid distracted even during a rerun! Please, please get rid of the tweets. Thanks.
I am a huge Fringe fan and glad that a show has finally come around that fills the X-Files void in my soul. Last night as my wife an I watched the rebroadcast of Season 1 finale we were greatly frustrated and distracted by the on-screen Twittering that took up a quarter of the screen on our TV. In know if we had a 60″ plasma it would have not been that bad but we don’t and most of the people out there watching this show I am sure do not either. So I beg FOX never to do this again, we want to keep watching the show. I think the idea is a great but just not executed well. I can just as easily sit in my living room with my laptop or iPhone and see the live Twittering about the show without it distracting my viewing enjoyment. We cannot wait until the new season starts. Thanks.
My husband and I love this show and were very disappointed with last nights program (September 3) because of all the twittering on the bottom half of the screen. We were so distracted that we turned off the show. I truly hope this is not going to happen again because you will lose two faithful viewers. Looking forward to a reply regarding this. Thank you.
Hey I know everyone thinks Twitter is “Fan Tab Ulous” and all, but it really annoyed me when I was trying to watch the show. All’s I could see were heads. I wish there were a way you could either turn it on or off if you didn’t want to see the blog.
The Tweats flashing on the screen during the show are utterly disconcerting. I would like to watch the show without someone else’s commentary, verbal or electronic. Why on Earth would anyone find this annoying, incessant interference value-adding? Stop it. You’ve got a winner. Don’t wreck it, even if Twitter pays for this nuisance.
Take the twitter off the screen. What a pain - you can’t see everything’s that’s going on.
I’m sorry but I hated the “tweeter” through Fringe!! I love the show to begin with and found the tweeters too distracting and it was more in the center of my tv screen not the bottom.I also have a 32 ” tv so that should not make a difference where the show is being ruined. So,now because of tweeting through the show we will not be watching Fringe or any other program you decide to add words so we cant focus on the picture.
Am i the only one that was totally annoyed by losing HALF of the tv screen to these tweets. I get “how cool to watch with Josh” and I love me some Joshua Jackson, the man sends my heart a flutter! Can I get the episode anywhere WITHOUT THE TWEETS? I can’t multi-task while watching tv
<>
Watched part of it and had to turn it off. Hated the Tweets! Too big on the screen, too distracting from the story. Thank God I’d already seen the episode or I’d have been really pissed off. Please, don’t ever do this again, it was even worse than when Lost was doing their pop-ups. Tweet away, it’s cool to have the background, just keep it off the TV.
Please stop the twitter during the show. I do not have a large screen and the twitter messages cover up the show and are distracting to watching my favorite show-Fringe. Please , please don’t ruin my show.
Thanks
Please don’t mix the media. I recorded this for a pre season refresher (I’m already a fan). I deleted the episode after 5 minutes BECAUSE of the comments. I just want the show.
My last comment was critical of the tweety fringe and was deleted. Apparently you only want positive comments about this epic failure.
Will you delete this opinion too?
Thank you, Fox, for ruining one of the most interesting shows on television. Twitter, the dumbing down of the Internet, 140 characters at a time…
WHOS BRIGHT IDEA WAS THIS TO TWEET…I WANT TO WATCH FRINGE NOT READ SOME STUPID TWITS TWEET…IT ALSO BLOCKS WHAT IS ON THE SCREEN BEHIND THE TWEET….ALSO INTERFERES WITH CLOSED CAPTION..STUPID STUPID
Your Tweets sucked. I clicked out after 8 minutes. The show was great and my favorite, you destroyed it. I clicked out after 10 Min. I will no longer watch it
The tweeting on the bottom of the tv sceen is very anoying. hope this is not going to be on all the repeats or the new shows
I was going to start watching Fringe again but I’d rather skip it and any other shows that add the annoying twitter comments. I watch the shows for entertainment but the screen commentary was like nails on a chalkboard. Count me out if it is continued, even intermittently!!
This was the single most irritating TV experience I’ve ever had! I had not seen this episode and was completely distracted by this unwanted and unavoidable invasion. There was no apparent way to block or bypass the private Twitter conversation - after about 15 min of trying to escape it, I finally just turned it off - which I’ll do whenever this occurs. Is that the desired response?
I have learned put up with ON-screen ads, am now forced to pay to watch television, but draw the line at the “Twitter” nonsense. I was pleased to seethat 244/246comments on this blog were negative. The one noteable exception points out a spelling error (can’t spell Producer!?) which just adds to the absurdity.
What type of test group was this idea run past (11-13 year olds), or was it somebody grandchild (possibly PinkSodapP) who convinced Gramps this would be “AWESOME!”
Next time I see it I change channels and consider doing something I’ve never done before: Spend the hour writing your advertisers and complaining to them.
Bet the “Glee” fans will be just a “Gleeful” in their response.
As for Twitter on TV: “Can you hear US now?!
Have always enjoyed ‘Fringe’, but the Tweet-peat was totally distracting. What a stupid idea! If I could press ‘exit’ and turn it off that would be another matter. I will never watch any show that blocks my screen with such inanity. Thank goodness it was a repeat!!!
Get off my TV screen. I watch the show, adn I do not care about nor do I want to see Twitter on my TV. It distracts from teh show. PLEASE DO NOT DO THIS AGAIN.
I found the twitter comments very distracting. If they continue you have lost me as a watcher.
Please get rid of the Twitter on the TV screen. It takes up to much space and is not informative at all. I never subscribed to it and I want it removed.
Thanks
Don’t know what you’re going to do for work now. Maybe you should be selling mobile phones to teenagers. Godspeed
[...] Tweet-le Dee! – Fox re-ran an episode of their show Fringe, and instead of just letting people sit back and watch what was going on, they also decided to set up a Twitter account, with tweets coming from cast and crew as the show played out. Think a live tweet-sized Director’s Commentary. [...]
PLEASE STOP THE TWEETS!!!! Come on who ever thought this silly thing up needs to be DEMOTED :-((((( No More Tweeting
My first episode of Fringe may be my last if this continues. Interesting idea but totally distracting from the actual episode, and on top of that the font was tiny and hard to read.
Please don’t have it on Thursdays at 9 pm!!!! Any other time but that!! I’m a Supernatural fan and that’s when it comes on here in Washington. Tuesday was a good night.
Thanks
Watched on Thursday 9/10 @ 9pm on the East Coast, and no Twitter/Tweets!
THANK YOU FOX!!!
I hope this means we can put an end to worries of Fox abandoning Fringe’s loyal fans?
Seriously, thanks again for not airing the tweets last night - it allowed me to enjoy my favourite show again:)
Steve
STOP..STOP..STOP.. TWEETING ON THE TV SCREEN!!!!
STOP..STOP..STOP.. TWEETING ON THE TV SCREEN!!!!
STOP..STOP..STOP.. TWEETING ON THE TV SCREEN!!!!
how many negative responses do you need to convince you?
IT IS DUMB. STOP NOW. PLEASE. PLEASE. PLEASE!!!!!
I CAN’T WATCH THE SHOW WHILE THIS IS GOING ON.
IT MUST, MUST, MUST, MUST, STOP.
STOP.
PLEASE!!!!!!!
Just got around to watching the 9/3 episode ….. stopped watching and went to my computer to figure out WTF was going on.
YOU. MUST. NEVER. DO. THIS. AGAIN.
Whatever, if you just HAD to have a scrolling banner at the extreme bottom of the screen. NOT A FULL THIRD PLUS OF THE SCREEN.
It’s disrespectful to the viewer, and I’m amazed anyone who had anything to do with producing the show participated, since fully 1/3 of their work was obscured.
Besides which, anyone who was intrigued by a Fringe trailer for the new season and decided to watch the last couple episodes of the previous season to play some catch up probably just gave up on the whole enterprise as being entirely not worth the aggro.
REPEAT AFTER ME: TELEVISION IS A VISUAL MEDIUM.
Then tell me this still sounds like a winning idea.
So…. let me guess… based on the response, you’re going to try this again soon?
It was bad enought to put ads all over the corners of the screen to ruin the scenes actors worked hard to perfect - Now they post inane comments with photos. Before long people will only watch DVDs without all the crap on the screen ruining the program. Netflix makes that easy. And I thought FOX was doing great programs.
