Is there a reason why “The Observer” was at the Pope’s speach?

WOW What a finale! The Twin Towers at the end of the episode in the Parallel Universe still stood! The Real Peter Bishop was dead! Peter Bishop is from the Parallel Universe!( The one we know)
I did not like the way the seaon ended. I thought it was very tasteless. My husband and I are active watchers of the show. We love the show. The season finale was actually a good show, until the last 15 seconds of the show. I understand that there may be another “relm” out there where nothing bad happens, but for us who still live in this reality, 9/11 was, and still is very real to us and still leaves open wounds. It was a nice concept, in a perfect world, 9/11 didnt happen, but it did. Showing Dunham standing in the Twin Towers was very tasteless!
sorry, trying to find answers and posts…
did they mention Grafton and the Beach in this last episode (Bishops summer home?) - Grafton, MA is NOT on the ocean (peter mentioned) unless they are somewhere else i missed…
i lived all over MA and love to see the locales. do they film on location, or do they only insert scenery?
I think this show is kinda like X-Files, 2.0 - upgrade to maybe 3.0!
let me know.
thanks.

Here’s a scoop- the voice track is missing from your season finale. Nice wrok
I loved the finale!! It was a juicy morsel I chewed on all day! Kuddos to the writers and producer for coming up with the idea and pulling it of so well. I liked seeing the Twin Towers at the end. We lost a very close friend in the 9/11 tragedy, and at first I felt sad, but I think it’s important to remember. And it was very tastefully done. Kennedy was alive, another sad tragedy from our past. So today, I thought of all of the wonderful possibility our world could have if it were a world of peace
I can’t wait for next season, and thanks for adding the Twin Towers. The only small improvement I would have added was on the pan out shot, maybe a child with their mother playing on the walkway of the Tower. That’s how I choose to remember my friend, and I think it would have conveyed a hopeful message across and less shock for viewers. But still great job!!
I think Fringe will be sorry it created the Other Reality crap. It just makes the whole show a mess that will go off in 9 different directions at once. It was SUPPOSED to be a show that had good, solid stand alone episodes. That’s how it was sold. But that was an outright lie created by J.J. Abrams himself. Two Walters, Two William Bells, two of everybody but Peter. Fringe might indeed Blow Your Mind in season two but I like good solid stories that can be told in 60 minutes. It’s just too bad. We now have pretty much “Lost 2″
Hey Bonnie,
If you had noticed the new paper on Bell’s desk said Obama moved into the new white house so you can assume 9/11 did happen just not at the WTC.
I loved the show and the ending. I think it is my favorite all time sci-fi. I am sorry that a few of you get upset over the towers but the idea of a better world I thought was great. Humanity at it’s best.
My favorite thing about Fringe is that it refuses to take itself seriously. darcy, I think its more like X-Files “lite”…tastes great, less filling. For LarryR I have 2 points. 1- by getting the alternate reality story hook established soon the writers will always have that catch-all to use to explain away anything messy or “unexplainable”. Hopefully avoiding a “Lost 2″ scenario (fingers crossed) 2- There are an infinite number of alternate universes. every time anyone makes a choice……a universe is created for all of the possible choices they could have made. (ever read Shrodinger? or seen that crappy jet li movie the one?) so unfortunately there are multitudes of peters. and fortunately there are also multitudes of escape hatches for the writers. Given the difficulty and expense of getting to an alternate earth, i doubt they will twist this show up like that. especially given the state of Lost’s lost storyline.
Bonnie-plz make sure you are not watching FOX when the “news” comes on if you find fictional depictions of alternate realities tastless.

WHY!? I don’t want Fringe is over. I want continue and more episode. AGREE? yeah, i think so.
HEY
i´M FROM COLOMBIA, LATIN AMERICA AND WE JUST HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO WATCH THE FIRST SEASON OF FRINGE AND LET ME TELL YOU THAT I JUST LOVE IT, IT`S AMAZING… I CANNOT WAIT TO SEE THE NEXT SEASON, I THINK THAT THE CAST AND THE WHOLE SHOW IS FANTASTIC… SPECIALLY HAVING J.J ABRAMS AS THE CREATOR,, IT`S GOING TO BE A HUGE SUCCESS, LIKE ALIAS AND LOST..
Okay, I just wanted to say, that for those of you who view the showing of the twin towers as a tasteless move, I have to disagree. Just because they showed the twin towers, it does not mean that they are trying to imply that an alternate universe is perfect, or more peaceful than our universe. It is merely a giant sign to show the viewers that this is obviously a different world than the one we are in. Different decisions and actions have taken place. In case you hadn’t been paying attention, when Walter outlined what deja vu was, he specifically mentioned that usually, in the alternate universe, the opposite “road” had been taken. This could mean, that in an alternate universe, the decision to destroy the towers could have never been made. Pay attention and actually understand what you are talking about before you jump to criticizism.
I just met the Fringe. When I watched the first episode, I mean the pilot episode, things are seem to quick and easy, but when finished the whole episodes, unknown things, mysteries, actions come to dose. As you know, there was a serial called The X-Files. I like it much too. In the beginning I thing The Fringe is like The X-Files. But then, the serial is getting interesting and catchy.
If anyone from the crew of Fringe here to read this, I wish to say something about these kind of serials.
First of all, if there is a person dies along the serial, please don’t arise from dead again.
It’s really boring and so known actions on these kinds of serials.
A character can be injured but must not die. And if it is a need to die, let that character die forever. Please.
Secondly, please don’t use more blue lights in the suspense seconds. These kind of light action is really disgusting. Lots of horror films has this.
Anna Torv is not like Scully. Mrs Gillian Anderson has a melancholic eyes and a big acting on sorrowing moments but Mrs. Torv is opposite. She acting like a real agent, a tough women. A must be for a police woman. In fact she has the coolest smile some times.
Mr Joshua Jackson must be get inside more in the serial. In the episodes he seems the fifth character. But i thing he is a key person if i understand clearly.
I am sorry about my bad English but I want to say one last thing. Fringe must be continiue. Really good things been made for this serial.
Thanks for everyone who think, made, play and do other things.
Sincerely,
I agree, Fringe is like upgraded X-File. Mikeith is right, showing the twin tower is not tasteless. It only conveys peaceful world (no killing, bombing and terrorists). The source of alternate universe is great because it made people think of beautiful things that may happen if there is no chaos. Watch Fringe in full length and in HD format.
I really like the Fringe. I feel it is what X-Files could have been had they had good writers.
My only complaint - and one I hope they fix in the second season - is to get rid of the idiotic attempt at social manipulation of the *sister* and the smarmy little girl-child - they are not needed and their insertion halfway through the season was terrible. Fortunately, I downloaded all the episodes so I was able to simply fast-forward when that idiocy was on.
There is no need for the idiocy of introducing a sister and her braindead spawn, it just damages the flow of each episode they intrude upon.
J.J. Abrams should fire whoever came up with that stupid idea.
But I digress…I’ve now watched the complete series twice and only wish it had been a 23 episode season like The Mentalist so I could have watched it for another few hours each run-through.
I’ll definitely be downloading and watching the entire second season and I can’t wait until it starts…hopefully it will be a full season of 23 or even 24 episodes.
im sorry to other’s who didn’t like the ending about the twin towers, but as you may know, that’s why it’s called fiction… anyway, i love FRINGE… here in portugal, we are 3 season away from ending… i had to watch online because i can’t wait for the next episode… i finished it last night… nice ending… peter from the parallel dimension, cool!… so we have so much to wait for in season 2.. Congratulations to the writer.. please don’t mess up season 2… Cheers!
