TRANQUILIZER GUN
The tranquilizer gun provides a non-lethal, but effective means of temporarily dispatching enemies. It fires an anaethestic dart, with medicines or poisons coated onto or injected into the dart. When fired, the dart penetrates the skin of an intended victim, releasing its contents on impact. One or more shots from this weapon can render the victim unconscious for a time. Once the tranquilizer wears off, the victim will regain consciousness.
The tranq dart gun is not a combat weapon. It requires short range and near-zero armor to be effective. It also may fail to work on strong or vigorous opponents. These guns can cause almost no damage if shot into the meaty section of the body (buttocks, thighs etc.). Tranq guns fire iron darts from an air chamber powered by a pneumatic pump. It is a single shot only gun, which needs to be reloaded after every shot. It is commonly used to inject animals. |
